I like to tell the story.
I was watching Saturday morning cartoons in 1988 or so, and there was an episode of Alvin and the Chipmunks.
They're going to give a concert in West Berlin, but they crossed the wall to help a kid and they get caught by the East Germans.
Then they give this big concert where they sing about the wall falling down and the wall in the cartoon actually fell down.
And I'm watching this and I and I go, “Wow, Interesting.” And then like three or four months later, the wall did fall down.
And so as a kid, I'm like, “The Chipmunks did it!
They ended the Cold War!” The Slice from PBS North
