To Foster Change
Amber: Job Training Was Key in Finding Stability
Clip: Season 2020 | 2m 25sVideo has Closed Captions
A job training program helped Amber find the stability she yearned for in life.
Amber was sleeping on park benches and at bus stops. She, like 90% of foster youth who want a job, faced trouble securing employment. She found a program that offers job training and sets up job interviews for foster youth. With a new job, she began to pay her own rent, catch up on bills and buy her own cell phone. But above all, Amber found stability and confidence that she will succeed in life.
