The newly designed program for Newberry Consort's annual Christmas concert is expanding from the Mexican region to include music from Peru, Spain, Guatemala and many others — calling it “A Latin American Christmas” with music that was heard from the 15th to the 18th century.

THE DIRECTOR ALSO SAYS IT WILL HIGHLIGHT INDIGENOUS AND AFRICAN ELEMENTS WITH MUSIC THAT WAS OFTEN HEARD FROM THE 15TH TO 18TH CENTURY.
