Anti-LGBTQ Laws, Pandemic Takes Toll on Teen Mental Health

The pandemic and recent anti-LGBTQ laws have taken a toll on young people's mental health.

Approximately one in three high school students experienced poor mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. And the prevalence of poor mental health during this past February was highest among gay, lesbian or bisexual students, according to new CDC data examining how high schoolers have been affected by the pandemic.
