As the regions museums and galleries slowly emerge from pandemic lockdown a new institution joined Seattle's cultural family.

It's the highly anticipated Museum of Museums.

A contemporary art space in a renovated mid-century medical building near Swedish Medical Center.

It's been a long haul for arts entrepreneur and founder, Greg Lungren as permitting snafus and pandemic lockdown stalled the project.

The museum has only been able to stage limited pop-up shows until finally opening this spring with a recent explosion of color by Seattle artists, Nikita Ares.

If the name Museum of Museums seems over the top it's because Lundgren has big plans for the space.

Multiple exhibitions, a gift shop, small theater, outdoor art, as well as featured private collections.
