Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship(dramatic music) - I'm Starla Sampaco in the Crosscut KCTS 9 newsroom The Crosscut Festival is coming up on May 3rd through May 7th.
If you haven't been before, the festival is a celebration of big ideas and bold thinking.
Most of this year's sessions will be live-streamed in a virtual format, but the keynote event featuring Nikole Hannah-Jones, will be in person.
Nikole Hannah-Jones is a Pulitzer prize-winning reporter.
She also created The 1619 Project, which challenges people to rethink and reframe American history to account for the brutal legacy of slavery.
Her keynote address will take place at 7:30 PM on Saturday, May 7th at Town Hall.
You can also catch virtual keynotes, featuring Dr. Anthony Fauci, Matt Damon, Congressman Adam Schiff and journalist Carl Bernstein.
All virtual sessions are free to watch.
