#### The Kentucky General Assembly session is over.
Lawmakers created a two-year budget, and passed an omnibus anti-abortion bill, along with bills lowering the income tax, giving state troopers a raise, banning transgender girls from playing girls sports, and creating guidelines for how history can be taught.
The legislature did not legalize medical marijuana or sports betting.
#### Representative Chad McCoy of Bardstown, the House Majority Whip, will leave the legislature at the end of this term.
McCoy was elected in 2016.
House Speaker David Osborne praised McCoy for his role in crafting legislation, including the income tax cut that passed during the session.
