#### A judge has temporarily blocked two new Republican laws limiting Governor Beshear's authority.
The General Assembly passed a law saying the attorney general is the only constitutional officer who can spend tax money challenging a bill's constitutionality.
Another law gives a legislative committee the power to make decisions about executive-branch contracts.
Judge Thomas Wingate blocked both and will hear arguments on May 31st.
#### Senator Rand Paul continues to raise more money than his likely Democratic opponent, Charles Booker.
Numbers from the Federal Election Commission show Paul raised three-point-four million dollars from January through March, while Booker raised 836-thousand.
