#### Governor Beshear today vetoed the charter schools bill.
The governor says it takes money away from public schools.
He also says it's not constitutional and wouldn't survive a court challenge.
Backers of the bill say parents need other choices for their children's education.
#### The governor signed other bills, including a bill allowing three days of early voting.
#### Speaking this morning, Senate President Robert Stivers said lawmakers will override the governor's vetoes from yesterday, including a bill banning transgender girls from playing girls' sports, and an omnibus education bill that shifts decisions to superintendents and away from site-based decision-making councils.
