Not too far from our position.
But tonight will be anything but calm here inside a bank cozy arena, welcoming to our broadcast position alongside Wes Moore.
I'm Bobby Swafford.
We've got the for a girls state championship between Farmington and Morrilton.
Should be a good one, no doubt.
Farmington by spring, by some.
The number one team in the state, regardless of classification.
Morrilton trying to pull off the upset tonight at Broncos.
Kay Arena took the start of a great weekend of basketball dog Bobby.

Maybe you circle this one on your calendar, the two way girls game, the only two undefeated teams in the state of Arkansas and scoring offense the two way girls game coming up on Saturday night.

Okay, Arena, We are just a few minutes away from the Foray Girl State championship between Farmington and Morrilton.
Again, alongside of us, more on Bobby Swafford.
A couple of players to watch in this one and how they got here.
We'll start with the visiting team on the scoreboard, the Morrilton Lady Devil Dogs.
They came from the bottom half of the bracket and you never know how things are going to shape out.
But if they course, they don't get past Magnolia in the first round of the big one, they take down Pulaski Academy.
The number one seed gets to that.
Who got the by a 4133 in the quarterfinals and then they just edge grab it by the slimmest of margins, 5150 and the semifinals to get here.
And a big reason why more than 32 and two on the season, the play of Johnny Brockman with Johnny Bachman, 16 points, seven rebounds.
There you see your number 30 on your screen, 511 senior.
They're going to go inside to her.
She's great at getting inside post position, using her body, using those angles to get good looks at the rim.
She is committed to Lincoln University and Malta needs a huge night out of home.
They're going to need a huge night out of her because they've got a huge test in front of them.
The Farmington Lady Cardinals, the defending state champion, and they've been number one in their classification and maybe number one in the state overall.
On the girls side, they came from the top half the bracket.
They received their first round bye.
And then you can start to see the scores 7132 over Clinton.
And this was the shocker, a rematch of last year's state championship game, a 34 point beating of Nashville and the Lady Cardinals back in the state championship game.
And, well, they've got a lot of weapons.
But Richard Reid, the senior 1000 point scorer, here's why they're back.
They know the wrongs.
Look at their numbers, 12.6 points per game, 4.6 assists, four rebounds.
What I was really impressed with the three, two, one assist to turnover ratio.
She takes care of the ball, but she distributes it very well.
Performance is loaded up and down the lineup.
You could have picked a lot of different players for the player to watch, but Ricciardi, who's going to Northeastern state very, very good player you got to keep an eye on with this Farmington team.
I thought it was interesting.
Neither one of these teams lost the conference game.
Both went 14 to no in conference shows.
You how good they are.
Conference teams can be tough to beat because they know you better than anybody.
You have letdowns from time to time you go 14 to No.
One conference was impressive for both of these squads.
Yeah, no doubt about it.
The Lady Devil Dogs had a 29 game winning streak during the regular season.
A four should go 32 and two.
You're going to have a streak like that.
The one loss at Stanford was against Farmington back on February the 24th, and now Farmington ran away with that one of the the Lady Bulldogs want to try to bounce back as Farmington controls the opening tip.
And we're underway here in this for a title clash.
More to play, a little man to man backdoor cut and missed the layup there does her merit Adams and Morrilton gets a lucky break to start things off Morton Lady devil dogs in the maroon unis Farmington We're in the home once more fans really going to have to control the pace of this game and control the lane.
And that shot is up to no good by Brockman, a one and done possession for Morrilton.
Shirey now pushes it into the frontcourt, and the Lady Cardinals are going to try to push the tempo and want to get the shot up as quickly as possible.
They are a volume shooter from the perimeter and London draws her shots off the floor.
They are no good now.
Morrilton looking to push the tempo.
Brockman beats everybody down the floor.
Lets she traveled with it, hesitated and sighs that was trailing the play concerned her enough to where she didn't go up with the ball.
Take it up strong, you know, Bachmann attack for she was on the first possession.
I like that she got into her body.
She was trying to draw a fall foul.
I wish it had gone up there.
And maybe she draws another foul.
That's one way to get into Farmington spins, get Farmington into foul trouble.
Contrasting styles between these two Farmington averages 68 points per game Morrilton just 51.
They want to slow it down, grinds it out and Farmington having to work on this possession London.
She's left open on the right wing at the Shirey ten on the shot clock not have been a travel no call London three in the corner off the mark no good battle for the loose ball gets kicked out to Farmington.
They get it for a shot clock.
Brashear is four three.
That's good.
These overseers hit 37 threes on the regular season and starts the scoring tonight with another.
She's six foot three, but she can do a lot more than just score inside.
You saw it there.
She can take it outside and knock down the three four shooters averages 11 a game for Farmington who's got the early three nothing lead.
Sounds like a very pro Farmington crowd.
Of course, the Cardinals on the male version will be playing right after this.
And driving the lane up.
Shot up no good for Mormons on a whistle ball out of bounds.
Going to go over to Farmington for me.
Goes up strong with it, misses her shot she's going for her own offensive rebound went over the back of the Farmington player so she's whistled for her first foul of the game.
We're 2 minutes into it.
Three nothing Lady Cardinals and they've got possession.
Adams drives the lane a little out of control, throws one up, misses everything, and Walton's out with it.
Here's War Moon.
She pitches it up.
Morrilton doing a nice job running the floor and Aubrie Henderson gets the lady double Dawgs on the board.
Outstanding Pass from Sophia Warman.
She just threaded the needle there.
Sorry.
Right to the lane.
Little shot off the window.
No good shooter is the effort to put back.
Got to box her out.
She was in front of her, but she just didn't push back enough to create some space to get that rebound.
Use those long arms in the six foot three frame to get the offensive board.
BROCKMAN She started at the block Nice job by BRASHEAR Circle that match up the West Robin versus Virginia's in the lane that one deflected out of bounds.
Going to stay on this end of the floor was 15 on the shot clock for Morrilton Brockman's got to keep her aggressiveness.
She's got to keep attacking go at Brashear, try to pick up a foul.
She can score on top of her former top of the key with nine on the shot, Hartman draws right handed shot no good partially blocked by London now Farmington that was it If you're looking to push the tempo and amoss to Brashear is back to Moss on the corner, she's going to let one fly off the front of the iron no good and a one and done.
As warming clears the rebound look at it.
Pass again.
Attack, attack, attack.
Pull up jumpers.
Good.
Jennifer Hartman, her first bucket of the game Morrilton back within a point.
You have to be aggressive against Farmington.
You know they're going to score, so you have to be aggressive and shoot the ball.
It was 56 to 25.
The first two first time these two teams met just a week ago in the regional final London left side, the Shirey now 15 on the shot clock for Farmington.
They're daring London to shoot the ball, but there are a lot of space for sure.
She's not afraid to shoot it.
That one off the mark.
No good Shirey going for the off with the rebound going to call for the loose ball foul Malta doing a great job blocking out keeping Farmington off the offensive glass.
We're halfway home in here In the first the feeling out process is done.
We'll see what happens after the break.
Farmington leads at five four as you're watching the Centennial Banks, they basketball championships on Arkansas.

We're back here in Hot Springs for a Girl state championship, Farmington and Malton.
I wanted to start things off.
What do you think you kind of sing a molten one of to push the pace a little bit, which is a little surprising as Farmington is the team that likes to get up and down molten, beat them down the floor time or two cashiers with all five points for Farmington.
She knocks down one of her two threes, attempt it the Farmington from the field, two of nine.
So they've gotten off to a little bit of a slow start.
Moulton Two of five.
Farmington average is seven and a half three pointers made per contest, so they're not afraid to launch it from deep.
And it's Morrilton who's got possession here, a chance to take the lead for the first time in the contest.
GORMAN She picks up the dribble, got to find someone, goes to Hartman, 13 on the shot clock inside the Brockman working on Brashear.
She faces up, thought about pulling a 15 footer.
Hartman Now five on the shot clock.
She gets stuck.
Nice pass underneath and shot that partially deflected by Moss Sorry running the break for Farmington over the moss.
Now.
Nice look inside to London, but her shot can't go down.
Even the jitters still hanging around a little bit.
Both teams inefficient in the lane.
So many people talked about that semifinal game between Farmington and Nashville.
You never want to hear it as a coach, I'm sure.
But a lot of people thought that was the championship game.
That was the two best teams.
You're dealing with kids here.
You know, some teenagers, maybe they've heard that, too.
May take them a little bit to get into the game.
Just a bad turnover that time for Morrilton miscommunication.
She thought the wing was going to pop on out.
She stopped, throws it out of bounds.
You mentioned that everybody talked about how last week might have been the state championship game between Farmington and Nashville.
Guess who also hold that coach Karen McNabb in Morrilton?
They made they came into this contest with a chip on their shoulder, something to prove Brashear is less one.
Go, knocks down another three.
Zoe, for sure, says all eight points for Farmington here in the first.
We've got to get out there.
They cannot let her just stand out there and shoot the ball.
She's on the scouting report.
They know that.
Just got to take one more step.
Get out there.
Brockman goes right at for sure.
She's cut off nowhere to go nail near the baseline and Perseus knocks it away, doing it on both ends of the floor.
This one's going to stay here, though.
I've seen Brockman play twice this year in person.
She's more aggressive than that.
She's letting Brashear intimidate or inside she's got to take it up strong and go against her, maybe drop out.
She did it in the first possession.
That time she had a chance, but she didn't want to shoot it on it.
16 on the shot clock.
Now Henderson has it top of the key.
Walton works it inside over to Brockman.
She once said dribble that one block from behind from Brashear so he's only four series is owning this first quarter for Farmington Nice pass from McCumber to Shireen Casey McCumber comes off the bench gets an assist early That was a great cut going to the basket to help her teammate teammate out that was cutting baseline series 1000 point score in her career.
Both of her parents were coaches.
She knows what it means to play on this big stage, as Hannah Moss is called for the two hand body check there at the top of the key.
It's been a really, really clean opening period.
It's a third foul between the two teams and as I'm sure I just jinx us all by saying that Morgan Error came to the contest.
Now 34 for Farmington, the five six junior can claim with very few turnovers.
Morton has a couple.
Farmington hasn't turned it over yet.
Norman working the left side.
Jesse Hunt's in now for Morton.
She's got the basketball, swings it around the walking around the perimeter more Farmington, doing a nice job of keeping everything out of the circle.
That time, Brockman goes right after cheers.
Might have been a little foul there.
No call and pharmacists pushing Macumber out front can't handle it, and they turn it right back over.
Brockman, though, has it near the halfcourt line and she turns it over, not her strengths.
You don't need to lead your six footer bringing the basketball up the floor, and Malton turns it right back over to Farmington.
She got about to half court.
I heard everybody behind us in the crowd, John Wolfe.
Wolfe Wolf, there's somebody coming up from behind to knock the ball loose.
I think she heard it too.
Peeled off to the side, but then just dribbled it lost it off of her back.
MACUMBER working down low that one blocked by Brockman though.
MACUMBER gets her miss going up again puts it up in the air and Casey Macumber assists in a bucket about 2 minutes of action a five second differential between the game and shot clock.
Farmington has got a 12 four lead.
Morton has not scored since the media time out right about the four minute mark.
15 now on the shot clock.
This is warm when she lets one fly, that one's good.
Sophia Warman stops the ground for Morrilton much needed shot.
They had to have that Farmington.
Now she's got 7 seconds to work.
Shirey takes it, she drives, left 15 footer.
Got it.
Reese Shirey showing why she's going to play in northeastern State and Oklahoma.
She knocks down the jumper and Farmington out to a 14 seven lead after the opening stanza here in Hot Springs, Don't go anywhere.
This one starting to heat up.
You're watching the Centennial Banks.

It all happened after that media time.
How Morrilton withstood the early blow.
Do you think that's really what you've got to withstand?
What's Morton got to do to be able to crawl back into this contest?
Now they're down seven heading to the second.
they've got to get their best player going Frontman's their best player.
And right now she's being outplayed by Bashir Brockman's got to be strong to the basket.
She's got to attack her body, go to the chest, try to score.
They're just similar, something similar to that that was aggressive to the basket, draw the foul.
Sometimes you can't let that opponent get in your head.
Right now.
I feel like Brockman's being too passive and not attacking the opponent that's guarding her, whether it's Beshears or another large post player, a woman with a drive there, she draws the foul and hits the first free throw.
She averages seven points and four rebounds.
A contest as the five foot six junior got to be aggressive and you've got to take the fight to the defending champion.
Farmington has already proven that they deserve to be here.
Of course they got here, but now they've got the early lead.
You've got to put pressure on the favorite.
You got to go in with the attitude.
You got nothing to lose.
How many people think you're going to win this game, right?
Your fans, your family?
That's about it.
The rest of the state thinks you've already lost this game.
Be aggressive.
Want to go Have fun.
McCumber establishes position down low, drops them, gets the contact, and she's going to head to the foul line.
Bachmann did everything right except for put her hand down.
She's moving her feet, stay with her, and then watch her right hand swipe down.
As soon as as soon as that hand comes down, nine times out of ten, you're going to get that call.
And you may be asking yourself, the resume for Farmington.
Well, it's pretty good.
36 and one.
She's McCumber hits the first three.
So they knocked they took down ten scores from the state of Arkansas.
Who are the larger classification.
So that's five or six age schools.
They also their only loss Duncanville, Texas, which just won the 60 state championship in the state of Texas, which is their largest classification.
That tells you what Farmington has on the floor this year.
And coach Brad Johnson has got a powerhouse going to northwest Arkansas.
That's why some people have him ranked as the number one girl state in Arkansas, no matter what classification we're talking about.
No doubt.
And it's not for the wells, not dry.
If someone told me that the 36 and one record was the worst record on campus for the girls in all the junior high teams went undefeated ten on the shot clock for Morrilton.
That's one fly from right wing.
Got it.
Aubrey Henderson, the five age junior, going to silence the crowd for a minute.
No hesitation with that shot.
She caught it.
Let it go.
1512.
Now Farmington is lead cut to three.
Adams working the left side.
Now they'll swing it around the perimeter.
Sorry.
Taking instruction from Coach Johnson Cross court.
Macumber is going to let one go.
Got it.
Casey McCumber coming off the bench and putting up huge minutes for the Lady Cardinals.
They were playing off of her sagging a little bit, trying to help Humber Sheers.
She looked over her coach and said, What you want to do?
She said, No, that's fine.
That's fine.
You did what you're supposed to do.
Macumber knocks down the three, then gets the steal on the other end.
The big for Farmington putting up big production here in the first half.
Another three from the Lady Cardinals.
This time off the mark No good Adams low score secures the offensive rebound a shot clock for Farmington Macumber drives that one off the mark no good rebound out to Morrilton and Warren Moon is looking to push the tempo.
She stopped out top by Shirey and now Lady Devil dogs are set.
The offense drives to the basket a little out of control.
But Jennifer Hartman gets the call and she'll be heading to the foul line.
Forced the referee to blow the whistle.
She she was aggressive to the basket and drew a little contact, a little hip check.
Something had to be called.
So he blew his whistle and she got the benefit of the doubt.
First free throw from the 511 seniors.
Good.
Hartman averaging 9.7 rebounds, a huge contributor to the squad.
Moss checks back in for Farmington.
The Lady Cardinals going to go a little deeper into the bench than Morrilton will as the second free throw.
Also good from Jennifer Hartman, 1814, five and a half to play here in the second.
The sheer is trying to establish herself down low.
I don't get it to her.
Shirey drives the lane wild shot.
No good good defense there from Hartman.
Hartman is playing well She's got the basketball top of the key pick and roll Brockman See if they can get it down low.
They turn it over.
Here's McCumber Two on two break for the Lady Cardinals.
McCumber going to keep it herself Nice pass to Adams in the trailing position Marin Adams her first bucket of the game she averages 12 for Farmington on the season That's one thing Morrilton can't afford to do She cannot turn it over and give them easy points like that.
It's tough enough to beat Farmington, but you just can't be sloppy with the basketball.
We haven't talked about Adams much yet.
In this contest, six foot junior averages 12 A game has a handful of Division two offers already, but she was silly foul there.
She reaches over the top trying to tip out that pass.
Brotman drew that foul because she moved her feet.
She got to the spot she wanted to get to.
She got wide, had her hands up for the pass.
She did everything right there.
Chloe McNabb checks in for the Lady Devil Dogs.
Number 20 254 senior.
They got to find a way to get Brockman going.
Maybe it's a drive dish off or a layup, something where she gets some good thoughts on her head.
I thought about it right there.
This is a shot brockman's old for to start.
This contest averages 16 points a game.
Not on the board yet.
Shirey Right down the middle lane nobody stop the basketball but her shots off the mark McCumber chases down the rebound for Schurz again third three pointer in the first half was over She was that's Macomber McCumber hustled after that basketball was just bouncing in the corner.
It was a 5050 ball.
McCumber beat Morrilton to the ball and then passes it to her teammate for a wide open three four share is now 11 points on four or five shooting, and it pushes the Farmington Lead out to nine largest Up to this point.
Morrilton going to try to answer the three that went off the mark McCumber again with the rebound.
He's got three rebounds off the bench already.
Shirey It's at the Adams.
She lets one go.
Howard Off the mark.
There she is again.
McCumber Offensive rebound whistle and a foul.
COLLINS She's headed to the charity line.
Stacy McCumber has done it all off the bench and Farmington got a 2314 lead as we hit the media time out here in the second you're watching the Centennial Bank State basketball Championships on Arkansas PBS Sports.

But when we're back, Casey McCumber is going to be at the foul line for the Lady Cardinals trying to push this lead into double figures for the first time, Farmington looking for a second consecutive state championship.
That one is in and out.
No good.
Again, the second meeting between these two teams in roughly two weeks and back on February the 24th in the regional championship tilt, that was Farmington today.
So newcomers come into the game, played 7 minutes, has four rebounds, three assists and now seven points.
That is a player every coach wants to have as she checks out a player everybody wants to have.
But she's a six man performer, right?
She comes in off the bench.
Yeah.
There the cupboard is clearly bare there in Farmington, the Morrilton going below four below with the Lady Cardinals up to this point.
Need to make a run here, though.
Farmington picking up the pressure full court Hartman A pass deflected and turned it over.
We were talking during the break.
Morton had five turnovers, led to ten points for Farmington.
Madam Gillette won three as about, say, six turnovers for 13 points.
That ball went halfway down the break there for Morrilton to chip away at this ten point lead, Hartman got the top of the key and start to see the Farmington defense starting to stretch out a little.
BROCKMAN Working on Bashir's blocks.
You could see why Brashear is has got the school record for blocks in the season.
Shirey pulls up 12 footer.
That one rolls around no good.
But Adams gets position in the offensive board.
She spins around off the window.
Good.
And look at a time out from Coach McNabb and morrilton it as Farmington and gets the block on one end defense turns it offense.
Yeah that was a silly offensive move.
I mean just to go in underneath like that pivot, turn around, put it in just so smooth you saw on the other end I bet not too many times this season.
That's a good look at the replay.
There's not been too many times this season that Brockman's had a shot block like that.
But she turned pivot, did a good little head fake move, did everything right.
Just the taller opponent got it.
That's right.
BROCKMAN Since 511, she usually dominates inside the lane.
But giving up four inches on zone rushers went the way of the defense.
You see our officiating crew there.
Lauren Thomas Grant wants Marcus Johnson on the call on the floor tonight.
He's Wes Moore I'm obvious often call off the floor we don't get to run that much or at least I don't hear a lot better shape than I am.
2614 Farmington has got to lead on Morrilton danger zone right here for Morrilton.
They've got to get some points.
Got to stay in this one, deflect it out of bounds.
They certainly have to win these final 3 minutes.
Cannot let it get away, doesn't necessarily have to chip into it.
They just cannot let this one slip away here in the first half.
Have to go into the break.
A little confidence and thinking that you can come out and play the second half when the game forces are ringing.
It does crazy things to people.
We've seen it time and time again.
15 on the shot clock for Morrilton a lot of contact out London.
SWAT picks the pocket two on one, London goes all the way packed on the arm.
She's going to the foul second straight possession with the turnover.
That's seven turnovers now four more from Farmington is really cranked up the defense you can see the effort on the defensive end.
They're getting the steals, they're getting deflections, hands in the passing lane.
Well, how many times they've had a hand on the basketball, slapping it away first free throw from London off the mark.
No good Jamarra London five seven Senior averages six and a half points, four rebounds, two steals.
She's committed to play at Bethany College, 74% free throw shooter on the season and she redeems herself knocks down the second pushes the lead to 1304 pressure from Farmington.
See how Morrilton handles that.
You mentioned two straight turnovers for the Lady Devil dogs.
Got to get it across and they finally do to get over to Hartman at that full court pressure does even if you do, do not turn it over.
You don't get into your offense until they're about 20 on the shot clock at three from the left wing off the mark.
No good loose ball fouls it.
We're going to get Jesse Hunt for coming off through the defender his first personal foul on the 511 senior Jesse Hunt.
Those are the kind of shots Morrilton needs to knock down.
They have to have a special night shooting.
And it started off they made a couple of threes.
They've cooled down and you see that Farmington lead just continue to grow.
They need a couple of crowd quieter, as you like to call those.
Make the Farmington fans nervous.
London got the top of the key at the Shirey She drives left hand off the window.
That's too easy for Shirey.
You've got to stop the basketball.
And she gets all the way to the rim.
There's no one there to help.
She's got to get some help Once Shirey gets by or someone has to step out there and stop the penetration, Malton beats the press all the way into the lane.
That one, no block number shares.
You can be a lot more aggressive defensively when you've got six three guarding the rim behind you.
ADAMS Left wing for three.
Got it.
Marian Adams knocks down the three and that's going to cause Morrilton to take another timeout, said Morrilton needs to win the final 3 minutes.
It's been quite the opposite.
West Yeah, it's a60 run.
Since you said that, it's been quite the opposite.
Farmington just keeps pulling away, pulling away, pulling away.
It's a 14 zero run right now.
They've made their last three field goals and Walton's missed their last five.
In fact, Morrilton hasn't scored in 4 minutes in 28 seconds.
14 home run for Farmington.
This was an 1814 game and you thought, okay, maybe Morrilton has weathered that storm.
They've got a chance.
But you can see what the Lady Cardinals have been so highly ranked all season long, they can just put it on.
And Cherise, their leader, leads the team in scoring at 12 and a half points per game.
It's been the other players for years.
MACUMBER And obviously Marian Adams knocked down that three When you beat so many teams by 30 plus points sometimes you forget yeah you don't win that game by outscoring them 30 to nothing to start the game.
You outscore them a little bit at a time.
A little bit, you know, ten here, ten there.
You're going a little five.
run.
Maybe they were pressing a little bit to start the game, trying to, you know, step on the road early.
In this one you saw you've seen once Farmington is relaxed.
They're clicking right now.
Yeah.
They've won 30 straight games and only two during that winning streak, four by less than ten points.
That tells you the kind of the dominant run that Farmington has been on.
Moral to know still a lot of basketball to be played here.
More pressure in the back court though they've got a handle it's Hartman doesn't get it across and got a ten second violation defense is clearly affecting Morrilton in another turnover.
The second quarter has been a nightmare for the devil Dogs.
Well, turnovers are up to seven.
Well, eight now it's 8 to 1.
Farmington has one turnover and the offensive rebounds certainly aren't helping.
Farmington, 28 shots attempted, just 15 for Morrilton.
That one off the mark, no good.
Deflect it out of bounds they're going to say that bounced up and maybe hit the cable that holds the shot clock to the backboard.
So that's what I'm going to go over to the Lady Devil Dogs Farmington, though, shooting 41% from the game, Walton just 27%.
They're struggling right now.
Got to try to get Brockman established as we're under a minute to play here in the first pass Norman's dangerous pass there over to Henderson 15 to shoot for Morrilton Nice backdoor cut there.
She stopped herself and defense again came in the way.
You got to be aggressive there Wesson I think the defense gave her the jitters now and there's a63 post player sticking it somewhere in there.
You don't know where she is.
You hesitate, look around for it.
Stopped all of her momentum.
Samara London wide open in the lane leads now 20 for Farmington and another turnover for the Lady Devil dogs.
And now Farmington can hold for the final shot, maybe their longest possession of the game.
16 run Looking to add to it here to close the first half Adams has a now five to shoot sorry she pulls up 25 footer.
That one is off the mark.
No good.
And that's going to do it for the first half of play.
Morrilton and Farmington were neck and neck for about 10 minutes, but over the last five or six it's been all Farmington, a 16 year old run to close the first half.
And the Lady Cardinals have a 20 points advantage.
Don't go anywhere.
We have plenty more basketball action coming your way on a halftime show as you're watching the Centennial Big state basketball championships on Arkansas.
PBS Sports.
The Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas.
Over 2500 team members across 17 local electric distribution co-ops, powering homes, farms and industries.
Somewhere across Arkansas.
We are the electric cooperatives of Arkansas Power and people.
Hey, everybody.
Steve Sullivan here along with Christina munoz.
It's halftime at Bank Ozark Arena in Hot Springs.
But don't go anywhere because we've got a lot in store for you.
Let's get right to it.
If you're a sports fan in Arkansas, you probably spend time listening to sports radio, whether it's a live broadcast for a big game or catching your favorite show on your commute.
The radio airwaves in Arkansas are still ringing out with play by play action news and some very strong opinions.
Let's take a look.
Some people think it's an easy job.
All you do is talk Well, I challenge you to turn on a recorder and for 4 hours try to be compelling.
Get out there, boys.
Let's get it done.
He was a Here's the sports.
Razorback always respect you.
You understand the power, the buzz he got cheated.
When.
When?
When I ruined his game, I hit him with.
I hit him with a golf ball.
Well, the buzz is 100,000.
What a station that covers about every direction from Woomera for about an hour and a half to 2 hours, depending on the day.
And where a sports talk station or more than sports were entertainment.
I would say we are personality driven radio.
We started out actually back in the good old days.
We were the first AMA west of the Mississippi that actually went to a complete top format.
It's just been a growing thing.
I think it's still evolving all these years later.
Good afternoon.
Welcome to Drive Time Sports here on the Buzz Radio Network.
Social media, Twitter, Instagram playing things to distract you.
So terrestrial radio even though now we can stream and do all those things now it is a challenge.
So you better come up with something very compelling.
It's really about there's a lesson here.
Like the people they hear.
It's not always about the content, it's about the people.
So likability is a really important thing for South Philly.
Okay, ready?
Sue Clarkson in 2 to 3 hours.
So and so we're very, very much personality driven.
That's the thing that we're focused on.
Plus we're hyper, hyper local.
So if it's something that's affecting the local community, specific content about what's happening in central Arkansas, what's happening with the Razorbacks or the Little Rock Trojans or the UK Bears, or what's going on at Arkansas State or maybe the high school scene in Arkansas?
Or the only place you can get that is that time of year for basketball.
You know, David, Justin Moore knows this better than anybody.
This is the fun time when you're good enough, when you know you're going to have a shot to make it to the state championship.
You want movement, you want you want engagement.
People become engaged whether they love you or they hate you, they become engaged with what's happening.
So, I mean, I have people that don't like us at all, but they listen every day, plays a quarterback right now baby is inspired by it.
He's got the best production and whatever, and he's got the heads up I'm to buy right now.
Let me ask you else about quarterback and he's gonna be the best cornerback next year, so stick your pipe and smoke it all up.
Yeah.
Is Andy Reid the best coach in the NFL?
Absolutely.
Nice.
Get it fired up and stir the pot.
There are people who the minute they wake up to us that for us in the morning at 6:00 I mean their alarm clock comes on.
It goes to our opening music.
You get your car used to listen to it.
You go to work, you're still listening in.
So that's the biggest compliment you can get, is that people want to hear and they've been listening to us 25 years, but to our audience, to know that we care, that we want to give them as much information, as many stories as possible for credibility standpoint, We need to be there.
Let's talk with our Razorback.
Bob, Robert, good afternoon into where you can walk into any city within 2 hours from here in the go to listen to your show, though, a lot of people who listen to us, they consider our friends and family like they know us and they do.
When you're when you're on the show 4 hours a day, people hear everything.
You know, this is year 20.
We've been doing this and and people have stuck with us.
Some have not, but most of them don't.
And we've got new listeners because of Justin and others, and we sometimes forget the power lost quite a few of us.
No, no, I never think of this as work anymore.
One that's been around for 50 years and the number of athletes, the past that he's across, the lives that he's influenced, and I'm blessed to be able to do it on on a monday through Friday basis.
And, you know, you can say this is a labor of love.
Everybody, thanks for being with us.
The zones up next.
there you go.
Okay.
Well, that clears it up.
The bus certainly has a colorful collection of characters.
There's nothing quite like it in the state.
Okay.
Let's get over to Christina munoz.
She wants to introduce you to some very talented kids, Christina.
Thanks so much, Steve.

Well, Steve, it is about that time.
Yep.
Much more coming up in the second half.
That's right.
Right here on the home of the high school basketball state finals.
Arkansas PDF The Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas.
Over 2500 team members across 17 local electric distribution co-ops powering homes, farms and industries somewhere across Arkansas.
We are the electric cooperatives of Arkansas.
Power and People.
Hands up.
Hands up.
Hands up.
Hands up.
Hands up.
Hands up.
Let me see.
You See a bounce.
Bounce.
Bounce down.
And we're back inside.
Bank Ozark Arena is halftime.
Of the four girls state championship game in Farmington ended that first half on a 16 nothing run, and that's why they lead it by 20 over morrilton.
Let's take a look at the first half stats between these two teams.
And as you might imagine with the score a little lopsided we're really struggling.
From the field is Morrilton four of 16 from the floor and 11 turnovers for Morrilton, leading to a about a dozen points for Farmington.
Mostly the tale of the tape.
The first half, the 11 turnovers turned into couple that's points off of turnovers.
11 because Morrilton had nine turnovers for the half Farmington just one turnover.
Morrilton wasn't able to score.
That's a big difference in the game, but you just look at that shooting percentage for Morrilton four of 16, now they make two of four threes.
I thought they shot more threes than that, it felt like.
But I guess the two they missed is kind of rimmed out and they look good from there and may need to go outside a little bit more and try to knock down some threes to get back into this game.
Obviously, the recipe for success as we take a look at some first half highlights for Morrilton though has been going inside all season long trying to get Brockman established.
As you mentioned, no one, no success in the lane for the Lady Devil Dogs Brockman's over five and the paint been controlled by his overseers in Farmington.
No pressure.
It's been awesome.
There she is from the outside.
She knocked down three threes in the first half and that opens up the middle when you got your post player going outside, that draws the other post defender out of the lanes open.
There you go spinning, move in for a layup and Farmington rolling in the first half they knocked down five threes five of 13 from the three point line 30 for 14.
As we get ready for the second half of action Farmington shooting 42% from the floor.
Both these teams have 12 defensive rebounds.
But another stat, you can certainly circle seven offensive rebounds for the lady Cardinals led to a handful of second chance points, zero offensive rebounds for Morrilton.
They have been one and done every possession crashing the glass.
I think it's going to be key for Morton to start to chip away.
Of course, there's no 20 point shots.
They're not going to be able to get back within a bucket for this one or two possessions.
They're going to have to start to chip away and take care of the basketball if they want to get back into this contest.
That's what you have to remind them, girls.
This was an 1814 game.
We were right there with them.
Get back to what we were doing.
We were taking care of the basketball.
We didn't have silly turnovers that were leading to easy points for Farmington.
Let's get back at them and play defense and keep them out of the lane.
Make us use the threes.
Contested threes, not the wide open threes and see if they can put a little pressure on Farmington in the second half.
The Lady Cardinals start this third quarter with the basketball.
They're turning up the pressure that was Morrilton trying to create a little offense with the defense.
Sorry, thought about a three.
Now she drives dishes off to London lane that one deflected out of bounds.
Going to be a turnover Good start for Morrilton a second turnover for Farmington Middleton really struggled though with the full court pressure and we knew we'd see it to start this third quarter.
And here it is.
BROCKMAN Right in front of our position.
She handles it more times across the time line.
Hartman She drives cut off that pass deflected though a lot of contact out front with Ms.. Dodds for the loose ball.
She gets it now.
Tie possession Wait for the whistle, finally get one arrow points to Morrilton.
Every possession is going to be so critical in this third quarter for the Lady Devil Dogs.
Talking about the shot clock.
Right now it's at 50 seconds.
They're asking if they should reset it.
If Farmington ever had clear possession of the ball, meaning a new possession would start.
And I don't think there was much they are going to reset the shot clock, though, So they're going to say that Farmington had four possessions.
So that's going to be a turnover on both sides.
Morton's got fresh 35.
I think Moss had possession of it there for a bit on the floor.
Brockman now outside, swings it around to Henderson, guarded by Adams.
Nothing doing inside that's cut there again cut off though Morton gets into the lane and got nowhere to go.
Settle for the 18 footer and Jesse Hunt's knocks down the mid range.
Looked inside Farmington had four girls inside the paint.
Somebody's got to be open outside and they finally found the outside shooter.
Walton only attempted four three pointers in that first half.
Clearly a team that likes to work it inside London.
She drives right side, might have traveled, got away with it over to Adams, kind of out of control.
But she gets bailed out by the whistle and she's going to go to the foul line.
So it's better defense for Morrilton.
They've stepped up their intensity a little bit.
That's where it's got to begin for them.
Cameron Adams at the foul line.
She had seven points in the first half.
Make it eight.
She knocks down that free throw.
They call that foul on Hunt.
That's our second foul of the game A whole lot of fouls called in that first half five on Farmington, five on Morrilton as the second throw is off the mark from Adams 3516 Brockman shots blocked again.
Shirey jumps the passing lane.
She's going to go coast to coast, finishes with the left hand.
Farmington is in every single passing way.
It begins with passing for Morton.
But how many times have we seen a deflected pass?
Just a mishandle pass, Just so good with their hands.
There's another deflection.
Ten second violation.
That's 11.
If you look at the shot clock and more so many times you talk, you hear coaches say go with a diagonal pass.
Cross-court Pass, Farmington is trying to beat you into it.
That's when they're trying to jump those passing lanes.
They force another turnover and a chance to add to an already 21 point lead Moss in the corner for three loose ball foul.
It'll be going through the screen move.
They're going to get Brockman, who sent Adams to the floor.
So that was away from the shot.
This is going to be not a shooting foul.
It's two on Brockman now.
There she is going to let one go.
Top of the key, that one short and the rebound pulled in by hormones.
And it's not going to stop Farmington from going full court.
Hartman gets it across.
They got numbers.
She tries a drive, a lot of contact.
Adams going to be hit with the blocking foul and Hartman is going to go to the line for a pair They had numbers.
They were three on two and I'm just glad to see more to go at them and take advantage of the numbers instead of trying to pull it out.
When you finally beat the press, you've to make them pay for pressing you and they have it too many times.
They break the press and then they just pull it out and set up their offense.
You know, one thing you also do there is you don't allow the Farmington defense to set in the lane and start camping out.
You mentioned our possession earlier at four in the lane.
Double check the foul there it was on Adams Hartman now with five points, make it six.
She averages nine a game so she's more than halfway to her average this year.
Brockman's got to establish herself down low, still scoreless as the leading scorer for the Lady Devil Dogs.
8718 is our score.
Sorry.
Let's one go from deep.
You stand guard.
It's got to extend the defense and Shirey buries another triple.
She's got 11.
She is four feet behind the three point line.
Another turnover in the back for London steals it away.
They got a time out and now Ojo and going back and forth Well London and a woman's exchanged pleasantries Romans just started laughing in her face and I think it made London even matter.
And I have to sort this one out.
513 left.
You know, the crowd's starting to get into it a little bit.
Farmington calls the time out and they're going to keep possession.
There's going to be a good look at the battle for the loose ball.
There's an elbow right there.
Yep.
From the flailing arm not hit her, but that's what kind of made maumoon upset.
She said something.
The moon.
The moon got upset or London got upset.
And for a look at London there, over at the scorer's table, sorting things out to see what they have to say.
But Farmington, you knew that they would have to weather a storm for Morrilton to start this third quarter, and they certainly done that as they pushed the lead to 22, trying to read the language from the coaches got a jump ball.
Now they're explaining to Maltin's bench.
She didn't like what she was told.
Yeah, I don't think she likes it.
There was a timeout awarded to Farmington and she's arguing that was in full possession.
Each team got it was a couple technicals I'll tell you.
You're right.
I won Zamora London for Farmington and Sophia Warman for Morrilton both issued the honorary technical, but since they offset no free throws exchanged and we're back underway.
5 minutes and some change left here in the third woman stays on the floor.
London checked out there in the timeout Adams she drives tough shot there that one in and out no good rebound pulled in by Henderson I believe this last 5 minutes of this third quarter huge critical for Morrilton Hartman's cut off over to Henderson She gets in the lane and we get back around Brockman.
She has finally established a position down low that one block so we get a foul called Morrilton.
Fans are excited because they finally got that foul.
That was a no brainer that time when she was just came straight down with a hand.
You'll see it on the replay.
Those moves look that cleared a little space with her left shoulder draws the foul soon as you bring the hands down we talked about that's why Brockman got whistled for a foul in that first half.
As soon as you go straight from the hands, straight up to bring them down, they're going to get you every time.
Even if it's a clean.
It looks like there some contact there.
We had a lane violation.
So the first free throw didn't count.
She missed it.
She'll get another chance.
Brockman's first.
Second gets the second free throw.
But technically the first one because the first one and count the ball and she's on the board.
If you would have said the perfect recipe for Farmington to win this contest and that would be limit number 30 for Morrilton if she misses that one.
And now Brockman with this one points and nearly 20 minutes of game action and she shot that free throw different you see how much air she put under that one compared to the first one 70% free throw shooter on the season goes one for two McCumber back into the contest for shares in the corner that went off the mark Shirey chases down the long rebound though sorry drives that one deflected out of bounds there to say no she just lost it on the way up and that's going to be a turnover on the Lady Cardinals little contact there and it caused her to lose the ball.
She was looking for the foul.
But officials say just out of bounds.
One thing you're going see in state championship games, they let you play a little more than the regular season as you like to see it.
Brockman's got it.
Left wing, 19 footer.
That one's good.
Sometimes all you got to see is watch one go down.
She got to see a free throw go down, and now she knocks down the long jumper for her first bucket of the contest.
Breashears was coming at her again.
She put a lawyer under that one also.
Hi Arkansas.
It was good Moss her long three off the mark rebound by Hartman Morton in 19 Brockman now same spot.
I'm not going to pull the trigger again though Crosscourt to Hartman shot fake drive middle lane That one's good lady Davenport faithful starting to get into a lead Cut to 17.
Shari's got it.
She sets the offense loss So McCumber one on one with Brockman.
A lot of contact there.
She absorbs the blow.
McCumber way off the mark.
Hartman With the rebound, a little energy starting to creep in for the lady Devil dogs.
And they pick up a foul in the back court.
More pursuit of sections getting into it.
They were chanting Defense, The parents, the families behind us started getting into it.
They were yelling defense.
They got the stop.
Now they got a little life.
A little life.
11 minutes still left in the contest.
We're going to step aside, the four girls state championship game.
And you're watching live on Arkansas PBS Sports.

The Arkansas PBS student all star is Addison Hudspeth from Heber Springs High School.
He's a shooting guard senior 3.95 GPA, and she plans to go to college and play basketball and major in physical therapy.
Congratulations to Addison Hudspeth.
The Beavers Springs 303 left here in the third quarter, Farmington up 4223.
But you're starting to see all the energy going to build for Morrilton the Little Rock Christian faithful who's starting to show up for the boys game, starting to get behind these lady Devil dogs as well, and Farmington hasn't scored in two and a half minutes.
Still 17?
No, for the Lady Cardinals.
Woman's got it up top.
That one deflected.
I couldn't make the play on it in front of me because there's the TV screen couldn't get there in time.
Well she got a layup for that we were no danger 20 on the shot clock for Morrilton as they inbound it to the back court.
So field war moves five six senior spearheads the offense now pass picked off Little Rock on is trying to hit the backdoor cut and threw it right to McCumber All right Los left wide open left wing and she rattles one home.
Hannah Moss averages 6.7 a game.
She's 36% from the back from behind the line she puts thing back up 20 Brockman drives the lane goal goes right around Breashears for the easy to come see we use the little agility to get around her use a little quickness don't always rely on bully ball sometimes use that athleticism.
McCumber She's going to let one go at one short.
Hartman There for the rebound.
Another deflection, but nice job there from that rally back there from Hartman turns it over but gets the steal.
Brockman lets another long jumper go that one away off the mark.
No good.
Sorry the wide open.
McCumber Easy bucket there.
Brockman couldn't get back in time left the lane unattended start to see a little fatigue set in maybe for both sides so tough to stay locked in emotionally for a full 32 minutes of that.
Parcells oil out of bounds.
The Brockman got tied up with pursuers after that shot.
Breashears blocked her out.
Broughton was a little mad that when she blocked her out, she kept blocking her out, blocking her out.
She couldn't get around her to run down court, so she was complaining to officials and next thing you look up, McCumber sprinting down, gets an easy layup.
That's why it's so nice to have a pair of six footers.
MORGAN You heard back in the contest for Farmington, 34 right now.
This is Shirey who has hands it off to Adams.
Now, there you are.
We've game at the top of the key series, cut off 15 on the shot clock, one on the game clock.
ADAMS Now, the final minute here in the third McCumber have to do something with a five on the shot clock we turn it over four moons That was it for Morrilton pitches ahead Hartman drives baseline that short jumper bounces a couple times off the air but no good And now we got a whistle behind the play.
I have a brief conversation about it and here's a good look at the rebound.
Hartman shot missed the iron unkind, if you will.
Thought we might get a loose ball foul here here on Brockman.
But I think they're going to save this play on inadvertent whistle.
It's exactly what they did.
No foul issued on the play I like it Let them play 50 seconds left here in the third quarter 4525.
Farmington has the lead defending for a champs now eight and a half minutes away from going back to back, Adams swings it around to Brashear sorry now 20 on the shot clock not a 15 second differential.
No more moon for running through a screen and she literally put her elbows up and it was college basketball.
Those officials will go to the monitor and see if those elbows got up too high.
But she ran right through the screen and the Mavs going to check back in for Morrilton.
She was buzzer in and that foul resets the shot clock.
So now Farmington can hold for the final possession here.
That's four fouls of order and have a chance to talk about the new free throw rule.
The next foul on either side will put the team at the foul line.
If that happens, we'll talk about it.
No more about it.
Adams Working left side.
Macumber has got an elbow.
She drives a little contact there, takes the blow can't get the shot to go battle for the loose ball is going to be off the foot of hunt for Morrilton with 21.3 on the game clock.
Now that's twice Macumber is create a little space uses her body but just a little strong on the shot like the matchup she's not afraid going one on one with Brockman is performance and holding for the final possession here in the third.
Maren Adams has it up top ten to play well the hesitation drive that one off the mark no good and be out of bounds.
Go over to Farmington.
What a force that one double maybe even triple teams.
Adams wanted to foul Well get to the benefit of the call said Malta can break the press here and get a shot off in 6 seconds.
Get it in.
The Brockman clock's running.
Here's McNab with three Hartman Let's one fly at the horn.
That one just short.
And that's going to do it for three quarters of play here in the Foray Girls State Championship game and the Lady Cardinals 8 minutes away from going back to back.

PBS.
We were just getting warmed up this weekend.
Two championships are down this one down to the final quarter.
One more tonight and eight more coming up this weekend.
So might as well just lose the remotes, take the batteries out of this one, put it in the Turpin smoke detector.
You don't need that one for a few days.
4525 Farmington defending state champions, looking to go back to back and mention it.
Yet this broadcast.
But this is the fifth consecutive finals appearance for Farmington as Adams buries a deep three from the left wing course.
The first one, they didn't get the play in.
That was in 2020 when the world shut down and we were all down here in Hot Springs and back to back defeats in the championship game.
And last year they finally broke through and won a title.
Looking for my notes on Adams.
She's a nice player.
What a complementary piece.
It just shows you the depth.
This this team won.
Someone like Adams was able to just snipe it from out there.
45 made three pointers on the season.
I was just 12 points.
Does Adam handful of division two offers led by Arkansas Tech and many others go?
Six foot guards don't grow on trees, so you'll take them when you get them.
Shirey knocks up in under way right at the seven minute mark and Farmington is doubled up.
The Lady Devils Rahkman gets it across the timeline.
Now Walton has to maximize every possession from here on out.
They want to get back into it.
Hartman shot off the mark no good a one and done as McCumber clears the board.
Shirey right to the lane off no good McCumber shot all the offensive rebound off the mark but she draws the foul and the back to the foul line.
The stat stuffer is Casey McCumber.
She's done it all six rebounds points getting through the free throw line.
A six man coming in off the bench.
The junior over six foot tall.
There's not a coach in the state of Arkansas that wouldn't take a six man like that.
No kidding.
They probably wouldn't take her as a six man.
She'd be in the starting lineup for most.
As you've during the break a couple times up free throw off the mark no good nine points seven rebounds four on the offensive end for McCumber yeah Three assists as well And they've done it all as overseers checks out all 11 of her points came in the first half since she scored the first eight of the game for Farmington but little quiet since then.
But she her presence has certainly felt on the defensive end.
Come here though off the mark and Adams right there for the off of the board Shirey lets it go and off the mark No good offensive rebound by Maddy Young also off the mark and Morrilton finally clears the rebound.
Hartman loses possession down the sideline to another turnover.
Just trying to play a little too fast was morrilton for Farmington.
Does it speed you up?
You feel like you got to go a little bit faster than you normally do and it creates sloppy turnovers.
It's more than 6 minutes to play here in the four a girl's title game performance in Little Rock.
Christian Boys coming up right after this one Game seven 745 Wonder she's got a drive to the lane that went off a little too strong.
Sorry though again an offensive rebounds 13th offensive rebound of game for Farmington compared to zero for morrilton on the drive again that one swatted away by Brockman defense has showed up for Jana on that end of the floor five and a half to play now here's McNab she's got in the corner to Hartman crosscourt to Samya Robbins Hartman 15 footer from the left elbow.
That one in and out.
No good Another one and done Zero offensive from Walton CUMBER Nice pass inside to London.
Looked like she might be falling out of bounds and just trying to save it but get the assists for McCumber once again she beat her defender down the court That's why she got the ball open Then she just turned baseline gets it to her teammate for an easy lay up 50 to 25 has been all Farmington since about the four minute mark in the second quarter and reach in foul called there on McCumber and they give a big thanks to Troy Mitchell who always provides live start for not just the basketball championships but all of the championships here for the Arkansas Activities Association.
That does a great job.
You want live stats, you can actually log on triple a dot, stop Broadcast.com, follow along.
There's a good shot of Troy was an outstanding job for everybody involved and adds to the experience of being in the championship game.
That's how we know there's zero offensive rebounds for Morrilton because of Troy and his staff.
It's right there on my screen, a big goose egg.
And that's another missed offensive rebound for Morrilton and another two points for Farmington and London.
Beats the devil dogs down the floor, gets the easy bucket.
Anderson She's got it right in front of us and spin move in the lane roll up gets Adams she's going to be whistled for the foul and put Henderson at the foul line Lead to 29 seconds Anderson five points.
The first trip to the foul line though tonight Morrilton seven of eight from the free throw line.
It's something they've done well all night so had many opportunities to get there.
And off the mark, though, Farmington has doubled up the number of shot attempts as morrilton 52 to 26.
Well, Farmington only has five turnovers and the MORRILTON has 15.
That's a difference of ten shots that were never taken.
And then you look at the offensive rebounds, none for Morrilton and 14.
Yeah, that's a huge difference.
All those possessions start to add up, especially when you're playing a team as good as Farmington.
Shirey drives the lane right between three defenders no matter how an off the glass and good and sportsmanship rule is now in effect.
She got open because Brashear set a great screen at the top with the sportsmanship rule.
Brockman drives the lane, draws the foul.
That's going to hit us to the media.
Time out.
The clock will not stop after that Media timeouts as, the Lady Cardinals have built a 30 point lead.
The referees haven't seen it just yet.
Maybe we don't take it.
Maybe they just play on through it.
BROCKMAN At the foul line, the first one's good.
She's got five points there telling them, Now take that media timeout and now they are going to step aside with 318 to play in the fourth quarter.
It has been all Farmington, it was 18 to 14 and you can do the math yourself.
It's been all cardinals from that point on.
We'll step aside one last time.
You're watching the centennial because they basketball championships on Arkansas PBS sports for every moment for every memory from that first car to your first home to your first child and all the highs and lows that tomorrow might break for everything that matters most to you and your family.

You want to buy a copy of this broadcast or any other broadcast that's going to end in production is not meant to place your order well.
Do you own a copy of the for a Girls championship game or any of the other 11 that are happening this weekend?
And then production dot net it's your family day 318 left to play and it's going to go by in a hurry is the Arkansas Activities Association sportsmanship rule is in effect and that happens when any team has a 30 point lead in the fourth quarter.
The clock will just continue to run unless a team calls a timeout and brockman's second free throw in and out no good.
5627 Farmington, start the countdown and 190 seconds right now Shirey drives in the lane that one off the mark no good it was 18 to 14 west and we thought Morrilton had a chance, a puncher's chance.
And then all of a sudden, Farmington closes the first half on a 16 run.
And it's been all Lady Cardinals here in the second half.
Yeah, that run in the second quarter.
It was a huge second quarter for Farmington outscoring Morrilton 20 to 7, you know, first quarter momentum played them close 14 to 7, They tied 1111 in the third quarter.
It was that second quarter that ended their chances for the big upset.
Anderson, draws a foul in the lane that's going to be the fifth on Farmington.
So now Morrilton is going to be in the bonus for the rest of the way.
Some wholesale change is going to be coming in for the lady Double doubles, a chance for these starters to get a standing ovation 30 game win streak.
It's about to become 31 for Farmington, but more importantly, a second consecutive state championship.
Moss and Mercier is going to check out Gabby BURNETT Hugs from the coach.
We're going to Culpeper, all check in.
That's 11 months of work.
I mean, celebrating with a hug on the sideline as we're inside 2 minutes and Brockman checks out on the other end.
Worked so hard, played so well all season.
Just didn't have the answers, did Morton tonight you know John Brockman feeling over there on the sideline, But she's got a lot of basketball ahead of her.
You're playing at Lincoln University and Jefferson City, Missouri in the future.
Offensive foul when we called on Farmington Logan screen and you start to look at this Farmington lineup, they've got a couple of seniors that are leaving, but there are a lot of juniors on this court getting action that makes you think they're going to be a force to reckon with in the future.
No doubt about it.
I mentioned the undefeated junior high program as well.
So the talent, not not tipping of a loser moving to Class five next year though.
So the challenge will be a little stiffer now wide open underneath the restart and the six foot sophomore hits into the scoring column.
Jackson She drives the lainer shot off the mark.
No good.
It was Anna marie Hartman.
Pass crosscourt picked off though Farmington going to have to shoot it.
Three second differential on the foul given up by Henderson gets it substitutions in the game as both teams have now certainly gone to the bench as just a second team foul for Morrilton in this quarter four no free throws.
Farmington has got six players on the court.
That's that's frowned upon.
There we go, a .01 differential in the shot game clock performance going to all intents and purposes.
As they turn it off.
Now they can hold for the final shot if they want to.
Surely one of these girls wants to get a shot off in the state championship.
Get your name in the box score.
No doubt about it.
They seem to be patient with it, though.
They turned the play clock off, the shot clock off for Farmington.
Just going to hold.
It looks like Morrilton kind of jumped the basketball and forced a turnover.
And as the possession is going, two points for the lady devil dogs.
5 seconds left to play.
They're going to get it in.
They're going to try to launch one, but that's how it ends, though.
Farmington, the Lady Cardinals go back to back.
This was tight for the first 12 minutes, but all Farmington from that point and as they cruised to a another state title, they will step aside trophy presentation, MVP and interviews with the coaches coming up.

Good luck are winning the four AA State championship again alongside Wes Moore, Bobby Swofford here on the broadcast table.
Coach Brad Johnson joins us again.
And coach, this is coming, old heavens for you at CNN talking to us, winning the title.
Hey, never gets old.
Really, really proud of our kids.
It was a super day.
And I can't I can't tell you how proud I am of them.
But we love being on this stage and it never gets old, so balanced.
I mean, up and down the roster, it's just scoring wise rebounds just to tilt total team effort.
It is.
And I think, you know, I've said all year long that this group is like that.
The versatility we have, the egoless selflessness play that they they play the game with.
The only thing that's ever mattered to these kids is winning.
And they don't care how they do it.
You know, it's it's always going to be about a collective effort.
And they're like that on the floor and off the floor.
And you just, you know, you get a chance see it night in and night out.
And as a coach, man, it's pretty special to be a part of that every day.
You guys are obviously pretty effective offensively that shows.
But defensively, you showed up tonight the whole Brockman to zero points in the first half, I believe just five in the game.
You really showed up in the paint and we had two that kids are really good player you know and it listen I've got to mention this what a job Coach McNabb and that Walton group did.
They've had a great year and John O'Brien is a phenomenal player.
The job that Zoe Brashares did on her in the first half was unbelievable.
And, you know, Zo just continues to elevate her game.
I thought Casey McCumber came in as well and we just we did a really good job of clogging things up and making things difficult, and that gave us a chance to win the game.
Yeah, we're about to talk to her as she's trying to get away from us.
We got to talk about the MVP, Lori Shirey, what she meant to your program through the years, everything you know, that kid is so, so special.
And, you know, she comes from a coaching family.
What you see in her effort on the court, what you get with her every single day.
And she's just a special human being.
And we love her to death.
She's had an over to northeastern state play college basketball, and they are getting an absolute steal.
Coach, congratulations.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I appreciate you and I appreciate it.
Coach Brad Johnson, back to back for a girls state champion.
We'll a look at the final stands of recovery.
We're so excited to go celebrate with her teammates that she left.
So we won't get to the MVP tonight to take a look at those.
These numbers, though, eight from 21 from three point range, the turnovers, those are flipped off on the other side.
But I mean, it's just really it's off talking points, off turnovers.
I was just a dominant effort from Farmington.
I keep going back to her where she was 18 to 14 and Morrilton had a chance and then Farmington flipped the switch and they put the game away.
Late in that second quarter here, I believe it was a 16 run to end the first half.
It's a close game.
All the sudden was a 20 point game at the half Morrilton came out in the third quarter and played well, played them dead even 1111 the third quarter, but then the fourth quarter Farmington and I think just a little bit with their death, you think about it, he mentioned McCumber.
I was very impressed with her.
Six man comes in off the bench and she had nine points in just 15 minutes, eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block shot.
So she did a little bit of everything in the limited amount of time, and that wasn't the only player off the bench, but their depth.
I felt like the way they could just rotate players in and out, in and out.
It paid off in that second quarter, in the fourth quarter.
So let's take a look at the highlights of how we got here to this point.
Farmington, again, a 5831 winner, and they did it inside.
They did it outside, they did it defensively.
Really morrilton did not have an answer after that initial way for over first year.
We just see it.
We just saw her hit a three, then she goes inside.
She had eight quick points in the game.
Here's another three.
But she got off to a good start first.
That was Macumber.
With an assist inside, Morton was able to hit a couple of threes and hang in there, only down four, as Bobby mentioned.
But then Farmington took over with an 18 run Adams there with a spin move.
She had 11 points.
Adams For three, she came up big Morrilton was trying to hang around, but Farmington just put their foot on the pedal in the fourth quarter and get they get up by 30 points and then the clock starts running.
The next thing you know, they're celebrating a state championship.
You can see why they're in the conversation or maybe at the top of it to be the number one ranked team in the state of Arkansas.
But our of Farmington is not done yet.
So the girls go back to back the boys.
They're gunning for their first state championship in school history as they're taking on the defending champions in the full race, Little Rock, Christian Farmington, if you like high level talent, you like guys going to play in college.
You want to be watching this next for a boys basketball game.
I've got the pleasure.
Call this one.
JB Brazil going to join me here?
West I believe you're jumping over world 1037 The buzzer here to get a jump on the car here in central Arkansas.
Get over to it.
We have got a really good one on tonight.
Well, that does it for the four girls state championship game.
The Farmington Lady Cardinals won at 5831.
They go back to back here in Hot Springs.
We're going to throw us a break.
Appreciate you tuning in.
