It is a beautiful day here at War Memorial Stadium as it's the redo of the Class 2A state championship game here at War Memorial.
Stay in.
This game was supposed to be played on Friday night but here we are on Sunday afternoon in the capital city of Arkansas Little Rock.
It is and Bobby Swofford.
They had to wait a couple days that being McCrory and Fordyce.
But we're finally here and you couldn't ask for better weather for this game.
It's complete opposite of what Friday was and coaches always preach.
How do you handle it?
Ver City, how do you handle the things that aren't in your control?
Both these teams made their trip to Little Rock.
They started their warm up process and obviously the severe weather that rolled through Central Arkansas put this game on pause.
Pushed it back a couple days.
Now we're back here in War Memorial Stadium, ready to crown two.
A state champion.
Well, you know the McCrory Jaguars, they had a heck of a semifinal game.
This was a game with poem that came down literally to the final play.
The ball game.
They've made it to the state championship.
They're looking for their second state title in school history and where they've got a heck of a running back and read.
Ken, and to get it done, yeah.
They've got a 12 punch with their quarterback in their running back and they've been playing together since.
They're probably about the 4th grade and they find ways to get it done.
But you mentioned that game against Poland, you know, back and forth.
They were down 18 to 12.
They went at 20 to 18 and it's supposed to do supposed to make big plays when it matters most and they did so in the semifinals.
Take a look at read Ken and because this is a kid 1200 yard rusher he between him and the quarterback.
They really account for a lot of the offense for this McCrory team and look at him 511.
180 pounds senior.
He's want to go out on top with this senior class.
He's got good size, but he's going to need all of that 180 pound frame because four ISIS big defensively they're going to throw a lot of bodies at him and see if he can stack up to a 48 minute pounding on the other side of the football.
The Fordyce red bugs.
They come in 10 and three on the year, and they've got a heck of a running back themselves.
And Kristen Biel.
And yeah, they're kind of a 12 punch.
Between Bling and Jarek Walker as well.
Walker goes for 670 yards, but more importantly, 8 touchdowns.
Fordyce really does a nice job of spreading the ball around there.
Not a dominant passing team.
Only about 1000 yards on the season.
They don't have a single thousand yard rusher on the team, but Walker.
He's one that can find the end zone and you've got to be able to find a way to control him.
If you're McCrory, you know we talked so much about shootout ball games.
We've seen a couple of those this weekend, state championship games and this game.
You know, if the running backs get going, this could be a shootout.
Yeah, it really could be.
When we talked about, you know how McCrory had the battle back and win by two points.
4 ice is used to playing in close games.
21 point victories here in the playoffs.
They've got four games have been decided by five points or less in the regular season.
They want all of them, by the way.
So Fordyce, no stranger to close games.
Also, no Stranger War Memorial as they're trying to repeat.
We are about 5 minutes away from the two A state championship game.
More to come as you're watching the Centennial Bank State championships in Arkansas.

Frisbee didn't eat my slippers.
Friends me, how can you know?
I'm sorry, Miss House I was gonna tell you but it slipped my mind.
Please don't let it slip your mind and donate to Arkansas PBS today book.

Exceptional service because we are proud to call Arkansas home.
With you in mind, Centennial Bank, member FDIC.
We are about 3 minutes and 45 seconds away from the opening kickoff of the Class 2A state championship game.
Let's go ahead and take a look at how both teams got here.
Bobby, because we talked a moment about McCrory and there's semifinal game that game against poem was was one for the ages.
Really, it really was.
And at the top right of the bracket you see on your screen there was was kind of a wild ride.
Everybody thought Bigelow, who's number one team in Class 2A all season long, was going to get here in a kind of a dramatic fashion.
If you will loss to Hazen.
In that second round, then PO and surprise everybody, they beat Dirks, but the clash up you mentioned between more Korean PO in a 20 to 18 final.
You gotta give it at the tip of the cap to McCrory as they take down desert who was in this championship game last year.
On the other side of the bracket, Fordyce?
Some would say that four days had an easy road to the finals, but that semifinal game with Claritin was a was a slugfest.
Defensively, yeah, and you go on top of just the week before that.
A 30 to 29 victory over Magnet Cove and then seven to six.
Over Clarendon, who's got a player who's committed to play for the Razorbacks and the receiver McAdoo and to hold them to six points, shows you how dominant this 4S defense can be at times.
Well, let's head down to the playing surface and check in with the third member of our broadcast team, Kyle Sutherland.
He's on the sidelines today.
What's up, Kyle?
Guys quarterback Jason Campbell and read Ken and the running back.
They've been friends since they were born.
But there's also a lot more back story to that head coach Chris Cannon is the running back reads Dad and then also Glen Campbell is the quarterback case and son in cases brother was the quarterback whenever they want in 2015 so it would be a very poetic ending for them to finish winning a ring today.
But a tough four DICE team stands in their way trying to three peat back to you guys.
Thank you Kyle Kyle.
Be on the sidelines all day today, giving us reports from both sidelines as we do this 2A state championship game and.
Really, some great storylines.
You look at Fordyce.
This is a team that is no stranger to the finals.
They have done remarkable things throughout the year.
And really, you know they were here last year and and this was a team that they thought they'd be down a little bit more.
And then you've got the storylines McCrory with the with the dads, and you know the Suns playing on the football team.
Just a lot of storylines in this really isn't talking about that Fordyce angle with it.
Most people thought they were going to be down in early in the season.
Even their head coach when we talked to him earlier this week.
Thought you know we have some growing pains, but they kept finding.
Ways to win.
Those tight games won by two win by Point and that paid off once they got to the postseason back to back games where they won by a single point, they feel like they've earned their way.
They kind of gotten better and better as the season went on.
Of course, that's what you want to do.
Be playing your best football when you get to December.
Well, the captains have made their way on the field.
The opening coin toss went to McCrory.
They're going to receive the football to start the ball game as four dice is making their way onto the playing surface.
They run head of A giant run through here in War Memorial Stadium and just following them or the majority McCrory Jaguars.
As they come out with the Jaguar flag in the state of Arkansas flag and we're just about set for championship time in Arkansas in the Class 2A state title game here at War Memorial Stadium, Bobby final thoughts before we get this one going.
You know we talked about it all the time.
RJ like who handles that initial surge?
McCrory wins the toss more times than not.
And in today's football game you'll see teams defer to the second half.
That's the confidence they've got in their office.
They want to take the football first.
They want to draw first blood, see if they can March down the field and score.
But Fordyce, on the other hand, he's got a wardrobe.
Change between warmups and kick off.
They're going with the red tops instead of the black ones they had on in pregame.
They've been here.
They know what to expect.
The nerves aren't going to affect those guys in red and white.
Well, if you're watching from home, you'll notice two stark differences.
If you see the Fordyce uniforms, or read the numbers are super easy to see that they're extremely easy to see if you look at the McCrory side.
Those are the all white uniforms with black helmets.
They, yes, you've got that right.
They've got white number, not white numbers with black trim.
So it may be a little difficult today to see those McCrory Jaguars.
As they get ready for this to a state title game.
Both teams have made their way onto the playing surface and we are just about separated.
Go is back deep is look quote lokoya Tucker for McCrory as Andy Luna is set to kick off 44 dice.
Not a cloud in the sky here at War Memorial Stadium.
Light win.
It'll be a short kick off the 29 yard line as they'll take it up the left side and out of bounds.
They go at the 43 yard line and that's where McCrory is going to have it first and 10 to start this ball game.
Yeah, short kick off there and filled in nicely by the a pack for McCrory and the Jaguar is going to start this to a title game with great field position as they're already near midfield at their own 44.
They will start on that far hashmark to start this ball game going towards the North End zone here at War Memorial Stadium.
As they're going to line up with three wide, receive four wide receivers in the formation and their quarterback Jason Campbell in the shotgun.
Gonna hand it off to Ken.
And who's going to take it up the right side?
He'll pick up a couple yards on the play.
But now bring up second down and nice job by the Fordyce defense, led by Jacoby.
Walker.
There to kind of win at the point of attack.
Shuts that run for a gain of two, and I think RJ that's going to be the big thing is, how can McCrory handle that big defensive line?
Because the red bugs have a huge advantage as far as size in the trenches.
So it was a gain of two.
It's second down and eight with the ball at the 46 yard line.
2 backs in the backfield on either side of case.
And Campbell.
Campbell fakes the handoff is going to keep himself and he'll get out just shy of the 50 yard line.
A pickup of a couple on the play and that will bring up third down.
Kristen Beeline makes that makes the play there on the quarterback run.
They try to get the two running backs to get out and lead the way for the quarterback, but that time, Fordyce is ready to make a play.
And now it's those money plays RJ third, medium, third and five third and 6th place that you've got to be able to make.
If you want to put points on the board and mercury is going to be challenged right here, is there a yard shy of midfield?
Third down and five.
This is a McCrory team that's not afraid to throw the football last week against PO in Campbell had 118 yards, but he's gonna go down right.
There is coming up with a sack for four dice.
It was Carmelo Allen.
He came and shot the gap and got the quarterback.
He didn't bite on it.
Any play fake or anything?
Allen that lined up at right?
Defensive end is barrels his way into the backfield.
Makes the play well be on the line of scrimmage in Fordyce's defense comes up with a big stop as we opened up this game on the opening drive.
Dominic Hammond's gonna be back deep to receive 44 dice.
As.
They will be kicking from the 24 yard line.
Kick is away and it's a short kick that will hit the 41.
Take a McCrory bounce inside the 40 down to the 37 yard line.
And that's where Fordyce will have their first drive as well under 10 to play here in the first quarter.
Yeah, it's exactly what you don't want to happen.
If your McCrory you get great field position on the short kickoff.
You start near midfield, you get positive yardage on 1st down but second third down.
Go to Fordyce that drive ends up going 7 yards the wrong direction.
You mentioned the short punt.
Now the red bugs have decent starting position.
As we say, their offense for the first time quarterback Trey Mallet.
For Fordyce, the five 11125 pounds senior on the season, is thrown for 597 yards and 11 touchdowns.
52% completion completion percentage.
But he's also run it 314 times.
They line up with four wide.
The formation just gonna hand it off straight up the middle.
This time goes to Walker.
And that'll be a gain of about 6 on the play to bring up second down.
He mentioned Troy Merritt, a quarterback for four dicey missed some games in the middle of the season, and so they had to go to the backup Dominique Hammons, who's one of their top receivers, had to move him to the quarterback position, of course, uh, build your depth.
Let's you know, four dices offense kind of hit a bump in the road, middle of the way, but good to see him back and got a chance to win a state title.
Brent sledges in at running back for Fordyce, says they've got four wide in the formation.
And keeping it as merit and he'll go straight up the middle for a minimal gain, and that'll bring up third down.
Nice job by McCrory front to kind of control the point of contact there and forced the third down here.
Now Fordyce.
Got to try to make it play on 3rd and short.
The ball is spotted the 45 yard line, its third down in two.
You know, looking back in the day, you think of four dice is a wing T type offense.
It's just gonna be tight and they're gonna run it down your throat.
They spread it out a little bit.
Here is merit.
Gonna look to throw goes back across the middle has a receiver at the 50 yard line.
It's a first down that time he was able to hook up with his wideout Jacobi Walker.
The five eight 160 pounds senior.
And that's where the experience comes in for merits as he rolls.
To his left, a designed rollout.
Nothing there initially, but he's got the wherewithal to to show some patience.
Not immediately tuck it down and run, and allows his receiver to find an open hole and he hits him right at midfield.
First down in 10 ball at the 50 yard line.
Four guys will have three wide to that far side.
Azmerit going to throw it out the flats and trying to hook up that time with sledge and Sledge had nowhere to go.
He lost a yard on the plane that brings up second down.
That's a great job defensively by Keaton Bull, who recognized little halfback flare coming out of the backfield.
He was all over it and makes the play behind the line of scrimmage.
That brings up second down and 11 with the ball at the 49 yard line in Fordyce territory.
I tried to get the ball to their playmaker in space, but there you see.
McCrory defense, also Reese Rushing also out there helping make the play.
Second down, Merritt gets the shotgun.
Snap is gonna look to throw.
He's going big ball with it as he makes it down the right side just overthrows in his intended target.
Trying to hook up with Dominic Hammond that time and just way over through his wide receiver, he had a step on the corner that time.
Bobby yeah, the one thing we saw.
Well, I guess it was yesterday in the state title games and how hard the wind was blowing.
It was going the other direction so the everything go into this end was being knocked down by the wind but today the winds at four nices back here in the first quarter and that one likely.
Aided by the winds Y overshot his target by 4-5 yards, so now it's third down and 11.
Three wide receivers to the right side of the formation.
May it's going to drop back, throw it across the middle.
Has a man wide open out to the 40.
That time hooking up with his wide receiver and that was trained.
Assuming Gyrich Walker and Walker picks up the first down a little bit of miscommunication there from the McCrory defense or Nice design.
Also for Fordyce, they get Walker wide open on the near side.
Flat merit hits him in stride and a big play for the red box.
No walkers done a lot this year running the football he came in with 670 yards rushing, going 90 yards receiving for this red bug offense.
Yeah just to his 10th catch of the season.
You gotta try to find ways to get your.
Playmaker in football.
There's a pitch to sledge and he gets out of bounds after about a two to three yard gain.
What ISIS methodically taking what McCrory is give them, yet they take the one shot deep.
They're they're.
They're taking these underneath routes that time they go with the pitch to the outside.
They're trying to find the soft spots in this mercury defense.
Second down and eight with the ball in the 36 yard line.
It was a 2 yard gain for Fordyce.
As they've got four down defensive lineman that being McCrory and now we've got a whistle on our first penalty flag in the ball game.
Before the snap encroachment.
On the offense 5 yards.
Second down, let's see that call.
Very often RJ, but all the players for Fordyce lined up offsides in his stance.
And you know, once you cross that line of scrimmage, put your hand in the dirt for rubber pellets here in a turf stadium.
You can't move it, so off sides and back him up five.
The officials today.
William fries.
You just saw there.
Jimmy Woods is the center of the umpires Richard Wilcox, linesman Mark Willis, Line Judge Chris Raper and the back judge.
Today, his montrell Simmons, three wide to the right side of the formation.
Azmerit is gonna roll right?
And it's just off the outstretched arms of his wide receiver.
That time.
Dominic Hammond.
And that will bring up second down third down.
Excuse me for Fordyce, that was a look if you want.
If you're for Dyson Mayor rolls to their right side trying to get Hammonds, go into the far sideline, but that went too far out in front of his receiver and now it's going to be third and long for the red box hobby.
You know, one thing that Fordyce is done every time they've had a third down.
They've always tried to come back across the middle on a short passing route to to let the receiver make a play.
Let's see if they go back to that right here.
The protections been pretty clean so far for Fordyce, you can see the size of the office.
The line of front will suit me.
Corey wants to dial up a little pressure here on 3rd down frame merit looking to throw going right side find sledge sledge out the 42 knees taken down nice open field.
Tackle that time by McCrory.
And coming up with the tackle.
For McCrory, it was Reese rushing.
It's a great job to make the play an open field.
One on one, and that's that's what you want.
If you're four days, she gets your your receiver out to the flat one on one he makes the play.
He makes him move.
He's going to pick up the first down, but a nice job by rushing to make that play in space and no decision here.
For four dices, they're going to go for it on 4th and nine ball at the 37 yard line.
Clock rolls at 6:20 and counting.
Merritt.
Trying to find something he's under pressure.
Still just juking and jiving.
How did he do it?
He's Houdini and he dives for the first down marker.
I don't think he got it.
Bobby yeah, look great.
Play by Levi Tucker to come sliding in and just gets enough of the legs of Merritt trips you up and he's going to be a yard short of the sticks.
And it's a big defensive stop for the Jaguars and just keeping that play alive though, I mean look at merit right here.
McCrory had four or five shots at him, including right there in the middle.
But he's he's got a good size frame.
Instead, he's able to bounce to the outside, but a great open field tackle and forces the turnover on downs.
Well, we are at the six minute mark and this one no score between Fordyce and McCrory.
You're watching this and its Centennial Bank state championships in Arkansas.

Here's a great run out of the time out as coming up with it for McCrory.
Was there running back and that was Latrell Neil who just got a great job pushing forward and got it done for the first down for their second drive, the ball game and nice job by Neil and also a really good job on that off into front creates a little space.
Neil is able to explode through it and picks up a first down.
And I hand it off again.
Got a running lane and he's able to pick up about 5 yards on the play.
As that time it was Kennan who took the handoff.
Trying to find a way to get their leading rusher cannon over 1200 yards rushing this year that sound they bring him on the speed sweep.
Try to get him the ball bouncing to the outside but four dice sets.
The edge forces them back inside but he still picks up five yards.
Second down and five as Campbell is going to keep it himself and we've got penalty flags all over the field.
As he's short of the first down, Allen makes the play for Fordyce, but I think they're going to get him with a face mask.
I'll see if it's the five or the 15 yard variety.
Personal foul face Mask number 2415 yards from the end of the run.
First down.
Ryland makes a nice play on the quarterback.
You're going to see a good angle here.
He gets off the block but just reaches out.
And yeah, that's going to be a 15 yard penalty, and you can argue one flag you can't argue.
Three when they're thrown action, they all came at the same time.
You know you've done something wrong.
It was obvious when they all throw at the same time.
As a nice job, though, by Alan to to shut, the blocker makes the play but got his hands on the the face metal, and that's frowned upon.
Hastened Campbell and the shotgun gotta hand it off again, this time to Kenan.
Kenan works it and we've got another penalty flag down.
Couple of them actually at the 35 yard line as Ken and picks up three yards.
Let's get the call.
Holding on the offense 10 yards.
Repeat first down.
Most of that face mask yardage can be backed up there as they get ahold and you can see the tug of the jersey on the right side and #2 Cam Burks did a nice job selling it now or going to be way behind the chains at first in 17 or so RJ think they're officially going to call it first in 18 and so the ball will be spotted at the 45 yard line.
How far the receiver split out to the top of the screen?
He's almost on the sideline.
Campbell brings a man in motion, and I handed it to his running back that time and that was Neil and Neil was able to pick up about 2 maybe three yards, and then I'll bring up second down.
Yeah, Fordyce, defensive line did a nice job of just plugging up the hole.
You see big, that's big 78, right there in the middle.
He fills up two gaps and makes Neil.
Try to get that second level in a great open field tackle.
57 Al Williams fills the whole, chops him down.
Two backs in the backfield.
Campbell's gonna look to throw now he sets up the screen, works in left side in open field out past the 40 and he's about a yard shy of the first down.
You know they try this the screen pass there to read Ken and he's able to make the first man miss, but the enforcement show up for Fordyce and now it's going to be a third and long.
I said it was the first time you.
They were originally getting back to the the markers, so they're going to have third down at 11.
Two bags in the backfield for Mcrorie.
Kenan goes in motion as Campbell rolls out looking for man throws it downfield and a nice play that time by Fordyce is coming up to make the play for the red bugs.
Trenton Gamble on the the intended receiver.
That time was baskins and so that'll bring up fourth down for the Jaguars and Nice job to extend that play for McCrory was casing Campbell.
He rolls to his right and you mentioned Baskins was the end of the intended target.
Just could not make the connection and now it's 4th and 11 and the Jaguar often staying on the field.
Have been a tough catch, but maybe when he thinks he might have made.
Here's Campbell looking.
The throw has a ton of time going down.
Field has a man by himself in the 10.
The five he's gonna dive for the end zone.
He's down at the one.
He was all alone by himself over there Bobby as it was reached rushing a busted coverage.
There is, Campbell again extends.
The player rolls to his left and they lost sight of where rushing was.
He's able to get behind the defense and its first and goal from the one.
Campbell and the shotgun gonna hand it off now we've got penalty flags.
Before the snap.
Encroachment defense half the distance to the goal.
First down, I don't know if you can get much closer than that.
Bobby gave up two inches on that one.
Yeah, it's the ball is inches away from the goal line and McCrory tried to speed it speeded up there.
So lining up offsides really.
Not the end of the world for Fordyce and chance to set their defense and try to come up with a goal line stand.
Will have three backs in the backfield with Campbell just going to hand it off into the end zone, touchdown.
That time it was read Kennon, who took it in the end zone for the touchdown and McCrory strikes first and Nice Drive there by McCrory.
They leaned on the passing game.
But Campbell, the quarterback be able to extend a couple plays and Russian gets behind the defense.
And then Ken and caps off the drive with a short touchdown run and the Jaguars strike first.
So McCrory is going to bring their extra point team on the field.
Looks like that may go for two Bobby and it is they are.
Wind is blowing in their face.
In the backfield is Latrell Neal.
With Campbell, Campbell's gonna roll right through it.
It's intercepted at the goal.
I know he dropped it.
He dropped it.
So it's six to nothing.
McCrory with 304 to play here in the first quarter.
Bobby that was a nice drive.
But for the Jaguars it really was and you know we kind of thought we had a feeling out process to start this contest as McCrory able to strike first.
But a nice play on that two point conversion.
The quarterback plays defense as well for four dice tray merit, excellent coverage or right at the goal line.
Breaks it up.
Let's.
Yeah, so now Mccrory's got a little momentum.
See if four eyes can come back and answer red bugs about 39 yards of total offense here in the first.
They're going to be efficient.
Celebrate Game Day under the arch is an access to tons of benefits.
There were rewards program.
It's available today on the McDonald's app.
We're loving it.
So for McCrory they went eight plays 71 yards in three minutes and one second after the 1 yard touchdown run by Reed Kennon.
And so now before ISIS turn for their second drive, the ball game.
On the kick for McCrory is Amari Smith.
It's going to be a high short kick that'll be fair caught at the 32 yard line, and that's where Fordyce will have it first and 10 as we start their second Dr Mcrorie.
OK with that, it's probably the idea.
Make a high short kick.
Makes Fordyce field it.
They don't make a fair catch or coverage.
Team is right on top of him.
We'll see what the red bugs can try to do.
They had a nice Dr mounting early, but they got behind the chains and couldn't convert on 1/4 and long after the quarterback scramble will see what merit his offensive team can do here on the second drive.
It's four guys comes back onto the field with 303 to play in the first quarter, and they'll have a stacked offensive line this time, and now a timeout called by Fordyce.
So they'll have two timeouts remaining here.
In the first quarter, I think they had too many people on the field, but I'm out.
They had twelve people in the formation, therefore Nice gets a timeout called before they're flagged for illegal substitution.
Hey, let's head down the sideline to check in with Kyle Sutherland what's up, Kyle?
Guys she saw Trey Merritt make that interception on the two point conversion there.
And of course he's lined up at quarterback.
Had a really good drive on the last one.
His birthday was on Friday his 18th birthday and of course got cancelled and wasn't able to play.
So you can expect plenty more big plays from him today.
Just allowed for him to go back and have some birthday cake.
It right and and celebrate on his birthday.
I would imagine he would have liked to try to celebrate a state championship on his birthday but you get to go back and celebrate with the family.
Yeah you don't turn 18 once.
At least that's what they tell me and I guess Kelly birthday cake.
Good, but the state championship ring would have been better now.
There's still some people I know that still act 18 so guilty.
OK, 303 left here in the first quarter 6 nothing.
McCrory leads it as four dice comes back out on the field.
Trey Merit under center gonna hand it off works at right side into the hands of Gyrich Walker that he goes nowhere about a 1 yard gain or loss lined up and all spread on their opening drive.
That time they just lined up and two tight ends, 2 running backs and just run the league play to Walker.
When Cory saw it coming, did a nice job of winning at the line of scrimmage.
Hold him to a gain of 1.
You mentioned that you're used to seeing Fordyce run the old school wing T and power football where there was a look at it and they brought it back.
You know, talking with Tim Rogers, they they've got multiple looks so that they have in their offense they can spread it out.
They can keep it tight.
Here's another handoff, this time to sledge and Sledge has nowhere to go.
He picks up about a yard and it brings up third down.
Now before I slacks, they do you look at their season stats.
Belan has 727 yards rushing Walker 670.
The quarterbacks over 300 Mark Wes Roper over 300 yards.
They like to spread the football they want to keep it.
Keep it defense guessing as far as who their main target is going to be on a given play.
Well back to back plays there from a quarry defense.
It didn't matter who was carrying the football, they shut it down.
So McCrory is gonna keep it tight once again, as they'll have two backs in the backfield.
Mayor, it's gonna be under center.
He's gonna look to throw goes out wide trying to hook up with ham in that time and it's incomplete.
It brings up.
Fourth down.
Figured another look at that neck.
Possibly could have been a hook and lateral they had Walker coming out of the backfield running right at that.
That quick stop route on the outside and it would if he would have pitched it to Walker again coming out of the back.
Y'all look like a possible wheel route that would have been an easy touchdown.
Peyton Musgrove is on to kick for Fordyce.
Here's a look at if he makes the catch you see Walker running right beside him and that could have had the potential for a big play of instead.
Red bugs will have to punt it away back deep to receive the pun, his read Kennon end over end kick.
Ken will take it at the 35 yard line.
Cannon get it's a nice return as he gets out past the 45 and will be officially taken down at the 48 yard line.
And that's where McCrory is going to have it first in 10.
You know Macquarries had good field position throughout this game.
Bobby they really have.
They were finally able to take advantage of that last drive and now another possession starting near midfield.
I've got a little confidence.
Got the offense working both through the air on on the grounds.
Let's see what's the Jaguars can do here on their third possession.
So case in Campbell, the quarterback has a running back in the backfield.
Now we've got whistles and penalty flags.
Official has not really got used to this microphone.
You know, a lot of these guys.
It's funny because they they they are longtime officials that may have never had to use the microphone until they get to the state championship game on my lip reader, which I'm generally not my daytime.
I think he called a snap infraction, so I back it up five.
Here's a handoff to Neil Neil straight up the middle and he'll get back close to the original marker.
He's about 2 yards shy of it as they're going to mark him down at the 46 yard line.
Big defensive tackle for four days is going to have to come out for a plate.
Tyler Davis had to take the helmet came off and so mean to the high school level.
You've got to take a play out, fix the equipment back out there.
Campbell is going to keep it himself this time.
Straight up the middle and get a nice gain is he'll take it out to the 50 yard line.
And so that's going to bring up third down and 84 McCrory.
Just replaced size with more seismic.
I Sergeant comes in replaces the nose tackle position.
Nice job to make the first man missed this.
The Macquarie quarterback Campbell at the troops showed up for four dice after that.
Third down and eight with the ball at the 30 yard line or 50 yard line.
Excuse me, we've got 30 seconds left here in the first quarter of play.
Campbell looking to throw under pressure and he just throws it on the left side, then was out to the outreach hands of anybody.
I think the closest guy that time for Fordyce was sledge and they tried to sneak receiver out on a deep crosser, but.
Four ISIS defense stays at home with the coverage, and he essentially just threw that one away is Rush was bearing down on him and he takes a big shot, right as soon as he lets go of the football.
So on top on his mcrorie.
Bag deep is Hammond.
And it could be an end over end kick that goes down to the 9 yard line.
Hammond's going to take it from there.
Hammond down, back to the five, and he'll be swarmed under back at the five yard line.
Thought it was a really smart play by Hammonds to feel that kick and then prevent that extra yardage on the role.
But then he retreats, and that's the one thing you can't do, especially when you feel the pond at the 10 yard line.
He gives up six extra yards and now the red bugs, even though they got the football back have to start this drive well into their own territory.
In that goal, post the shadows creeping.
Ever so slightly towards them, not many games do we play state championship games at 2:30?
Usually we're still in that noon game by wrapping up the noon game by 2:30, so we get some interesting shadows, especially in the second half of this one.
There's nine seconds left here in the first quarter.
As McCrory is leading at 6 to nothing.
Remember last week Fordyce they beat Claredon seven to six in a very low scoring affair.
Here's a handoff that works right side and trying to get to the edge.
Was there running back and that was?
Bielen and so now that's gonna do it for the first quarter of play as McCrory they lead this 2A state championship game six to nothing over four dinosaurs.

I want to give a bit of special thanks to Community Bakery for providing food for our crew and their continued support of Arkansas PBS PORTIES as the football at the 9 yard line and they're going to just hand it off straight up the right side and that time it was bling.
Who takes it out to the 15 yard line that picks up a first down for four dice?
They're sticking with the wing T and they they they go back to back, plays there for Dylan and they moved the chains and that's a big first down RJ as it gets outside of their own.
10 yard line pushed out to the 15.
Get it first down and and give that defense a little bit of a break.
So first shutdowns for Fordyce, as they've really tightened their offense up.
They started the ball game in a spread look with four wide receivers and now everything's right there at the line of scrimmage.
Now, here's another run, this time taken by Gyrich, Walker and Walker is going to take it out to the 19 yard line.
They're just going to line up, and that's the power I formation RJ and this simple lead play to Walker.
They're trying to use at that size advantage that they have up front and try to wear down this McCrory defense and those two and three and four yard gains in the first half turned into 6 to 8 yards in the second half years, hoping to pop a big one.
4 yard gain that time by Walker.
So now it's going to bring up second down and six with the ball at the 19 yard line.
Wow and this one was blown up in the backfield.
We've got a penalty flag on the play, but who was it that shot to get that time?
Because he was he was in there in a matter of seconds.
It almost looked like he jumped offsides but clearly he timed the snap perfectly.
But we've got a little laundry.
Personal file facemask 15 yards.
Reed Kenan was the one that shot the gap and got in there.
And I don't know if he got a piece to face mask whenever he got back in there.
Yeah, Lathan, Briley six 380 pound linebacker also back there making a play, but you make the big play defensively, but the the face mask negates that and pushes the ball all the way up to 30 and another first down for the red bugs.
Ball at the 30 yard line 1038 and counting here in the first half.
And the confusion on the Mcrorie defense.
And I handed off straight ahead to the running back bling.
And he'll get a 2 yard gain for Fordyce to try the trap, play there.
And even though all the confusion from Mccrory's defense, they do get lined up and they hold that one to a minimal gain.
So it's now second down and eight.
With the ball at the 32 yard line.
Mayor, it's going to be under center.
And I handed off right side.
This time it was Giric Walker.
And Walker gets it out to the 33 yard line, picks up a yard on the play to bring up third down again.
Briley the linebacker out to make that play in space.
Nice one on one tackle by the senior.
And now it's going to be third and long.
And this is when you run the wing TRJ.
Of course you're talking about you want three yards?
You want four yards but when you get to these third and long situations like they are right now at third and seven, the offense really not built to pick up huge chunks of yardage just on the drop of a hat.
So third down and seven.
Has merits going to roll right?
He's under pressure and he's taken down bowls on the floor.
Balls on the ground.
Was he down ahead of time?
I think the officials are saying yes.
Yeah, they're ruling him down, but a great job is mccory brought pressure right up the middle.
Merritt rolls to his left, but three defenders for the Jaguars right in his face.
The football did come out late and there was a clear recovery by McCrory will see if they take a look at it as merit is limping off the field.
He got, he got twisted up at the 26 yard line and he's kind of limping off the field right now.
That's a big blow as he plays both both ways for the Red Bug defense.
So it's now fourth down in 14.
Previous play is under review.
I thought they might review that that potential fumble because you had one official come in and say that he was down, but then there was another one that came in on the backside of the play that said.
It may have been a fumble, so let's get there.
We'll get the review and find out what the eye in the sky saw.
They they ruled him down on the field and we'll see what the video tells us.
Balls out that balls out.
There was a clear recovery 79 for McCrory Justin hats jumps on the loose ball based on that first replay.
I think they're going to overturn this.
And this could be Jaguar football deep into my 4 ice territory and that would have been hard for an official to see on the backside of that play because his back was to the official and that's why you saw the back judge come up and start having that conversation because he probably saw a little bit better.
But the guy that was on the line.
Judge position he's the one that that originally ruled him down.
Yeah, Reese Rushings the McCrory defender who makes the tackle forces the fumble.
And again, Justin Hatch 79 jumps on the loose ball watching these angles.
RG I think that should be a clear fumble and a turnover.
But that was wrong yesterday and I did not have a perfect two weeks like well with my goal on there on the you you've not been very good on their reviews.
I only missed one come on now which means I'm not very good.
I understand what that means.
So the officials are still looking this one over and I, I mean, just by the reviews that we're seeing it, it looks like it would be a clear fumble and I'm a current boy and that would be a huge momentum turn from McCrory 'cause they have great field position.
Because I mean, this is big because it would be a force fourth down.
Either way for Fordyce and they'll be able to punt it away.
And you know, McCrory might take over in midfield.
Maybe their own forwarding depending on how good the punt was.
But now you're talking about getting the ball deep in Fordyce territory.
And with all the momentum.
When they're writing this down, I think this could be flipping it over.
Great job by our camera crew to get.
There's two really good angles at it.
Get good angles and see.
And this is the same stuff that the replay guys down the hall or are looking at right now.
So everything you're seeing at home right now is the same thing that the replay Cruz is seeing throughout this ball game.
And usually when it takes this long, they're trying to identify where the ball needs to be.
Things of that nature exactly right.
And also they have to look at the clock too as since they ruled him down the clock continued to run, and so they'll probably go back and put some time back on the clock as well.
Now we're going to get the call from our official William Fry.
The previous play is reversed.
It will be mcrorie ball first down to 10 on the 28th.
Please reset the clock to 850-7857.
Thank you.
So there it is.
They got it right RJ and they were going to have to put some time back on the clock and then work.
Rory Defense comes up with a big plate and they get the third down stop and also they forced the turnover and see if their offense can take advantage with great field position.
So McCrory has it at the 26 yard line.
We've got nine under 9 minutes to play here in the second quarter.
Four dice going to take a time out to rally the troops kind of collect their thoughts and try not to let this one get away from him.
And that's the second time out of the half, for Fordyce.
With 857 to play here in the second quarter.
I think it's a good time out to for coach Rogers and Company just called the timeout.
Settle your defense down 'cause this is a big possession and at no point in any game all season long you want to fall down by two scores.
But it's clearly here in the state championship game.
All the momentum's on the other side of the guys in orange and black.
I gotta find a way to maybe get a defensive stop.
So four dice is making his way on or making their way onto the playing surface.
With 857 to play in the second quarter.
Case and Campbell, the quarterback from McCrory.
He's got his marching orders for all the football fans out there today.
All live action photos from the game or available at myarpbs.org/photos.
You can download or get prints made as well.
Download the photos from the game you're watching.
They take some great photos.
Kaikadi a buddy of ours.
He's down there getting a lot of those photos.
I saw somebody put on Instagram the other night and boy, they are some great shots of all these state championship games.
Expect nothing less from you.
See a bear exactly.
So it's first and ten with the ball at the 26 yard line case and Campbell got a back in the backfield.
That's Kenan, Kenan strength, the middle.
He's out past the 20.
The 1510 he's into the end zone, touchdown.
One play it, it gets it done 26 yards right up the gut and he wasn't even touched for the first 15 or 20 and he's able to do the rest with his legs and a huge hole right up the middle.
And now, how big was that turnover RJ in that review is all the moment I'm clearly from McCrory and they take advantage that lane that Ken and was able to run through and then the move to cut back and get to the end zone.
That's a senior play right there by Redkin.
And that's a big play.
It safe.
Great job to take advantage of the great field position.
You know it's nice.
Your defense gives you the football back, but if you don't take advantage of it, it won't matter.
And those front five from Macquarie opened up a huge running lane and now they gotta go for two to see if they could make it a 14 nothing margin.
Campbell gonna look to throw now he comes back and he gets taken down, but there's a penalty flag down.
He may have got some of the face mask.
They're gonna get face mask or a horse collar.
Couldn't tell from the I was watching the receiver.
He was trying to get the tide in on the left side sneaking out.
He was covered well.
By the four dice defense, but they're going to another shot at this.
Personal foul face mask before died.
Campbell yeah he pulled on it.
So look at another shot at it.
It's 12 to nothing.
McCrory leads Fordyce it's a nice job.
By Burks to get in there and get in the quarterbacks face but just reached out and got too much of the face mask.
Now Mccrory's got another chance at this two point play.
Let's sit down to Kyle Sutherland on the sideline.
He's got something for us.
Guys both Campbell and Ken and we're pacing the sidelines right.
Before that fumble and then the review and they looked like they were really amped up ready to get back on the field and we saw the Kenan really unleashed that energy on that touchdown right there.
Thank you.
Kyle yeah that was a great run about by Ken and he you know a lot of was made about the size of McCrory coming in 'cause.
They are a smaller team than Fordyce.
But the speed factor that they've shown so far in this 2 A state championship game has been the factory.
Yep, you know what's interesting we thought were going to get half the distance to the goal.
From the.
The face mask it was.
It's a penalty from the spot of the foul, so.
McCrory actually lost three or four yards on that.
Now McCrory is gonna take a timeout.
This has been the longest 2 minutes that we've had in a football game this year.
Yeah, I mean, 'cause you automatically think it's a defensive penalty.
So they're going to get half the distance from the previous spot.
But they marked off the penalty yards from the spot of the infraction.
And so it actually cost McCrory yardage.
But they still do get an extra opportunity to convert a two point play.
Not very often have I seen in that they keep the names on the back of the helmets like that here in the game.
I, you know, usually you have that and it's actually it's not even names, it just as sandbox on the back.
We get Kyle to look into that Kyle, find out what sandbox means on the back of those McCrory helmets.
Yeah, but you're exactly right.
You don't see tape on the back of the helmet and less you're in two days.
Yeah, the coach is trying to learn all the freshman's name.
Didn't stay on there very long.
I know there's probably some folks in McCrory going.
They all know what the sandbox means, and they'll tell the rest of us, yeah?
So here's the two point conversion attempt for mcrorie.
Cannons in the backfield with Campbell?
Campbell looking to throw and he throws it behind his intended target.
Rhonda hookup, that time with his wide receiver Levi Tucker and the two point conversion is no good and it's 12 to nothing.

Well, I had an opportunity to go over to Bigelow and talk with Joe and what an outstanding young man he.
His story is pretty awesome as he is a short kickoff but looking forward to seeing that that piece at halftime.
I know his mom is watching and that that.
That young man is going to do some big things as he grows up to be a young adult and and into his career.
Gotta answer here.
RJ Fordyce has fallen behind 12 nothing.
They haven't really been able to get their offense going just 49 yards for Fordyce.
Only 27 on the grounds.
Let's see if they try to change things up.
It's good to see merit back on the field though as he was slow to get up on the the turnover and he's back there to lead the offense for the red box.
Ball is at the 37 yard line.
As Sportys has it first and 10.
Merritt back in the shotgun gonna run with it, he'll get it out past the 40 yard line to the 41.
He'll pick up four on the play.
We were wondering how that ankle was going to hold on him because that on the last play in which he fumble, he got a little bit gimpy life in Briley again.
55 the middle of that defense?
They've called his name a few times already makes the quarterback right in the hole and.
And shuts him down right there, but.
Fordyce, but they haven't been able to do.
Is win first down that time they do win first down as they pick up 4.
When I spread the back out as merits gonna roll to his right and he just throws it a little too far for his outstretch receiver and that time trying to hook up with Carmelo Allen the junior.
It's good pressure from Mccrory's defense.
They forced merit from the spot forced him to roll to his right, not able to make a clean throw to his receiver who had to step on the defender.
The pressure on the quarterback messed that play up.
So it's third down for four dice.
The red bugs are at the 41 yard line.
Don't have three wide receivers to the near side.
Nice run by Meredith.
He'll be very, very close to the first down.
They're going to spot him out of bounds at the 47 yard line and that's gonna be right at the sticks.
Just enough as a really nice block out in front by one of his receivers to help seal the edge and allow Merritt to get to the corner and did just get enough yardage for the first down.
It's actually the running back coming out of the backfield with him.
Britain sledge lowers his shoulder.
Help still things often mirror can get to the outside.
First down in 10.
And the balls on the turf.
It was just pitched left side that was into the hands of his running back and he just got swarmed under at the 40 yard line that time trying to get in the hands of sledge.
And it was just a debacle from the snap.
Yeah the snap was low that through the timing of that playoff and Merritt still went ahead and pitched it out to his running back.
It wasn't a great pitch.
He had to stop his momentum to to corral it and that's why he gets dropped for a loss of seven and four guys who had a little momentum from the picking up the first down.
Now they're well behind the chains going to be second in 17.
So he lost seven yards on the play.
It's second down in 17 sledges.
Gonna be set up to the left of merit.
Merritt flushed out.
He's just throwing this one up and it's going to be way out of bounds.
It'll be third down and just throw it away and then merit facing a lot of pressure.
That time it came from right up the middle of big defensive tackle for McCrory able to push the pocket break.
Free enforces the throw away.
And now it's third and long for an offense that's that's struggling to get anything going, RJ.
So it's third down now ball at the 40 yard line.
Receive a passing average in just 1.8 yards per rush.
Fordyce offense is sputtering, but all it takes is one big play.
They pop one and then get right back in this contest so far today, four dice on 3rd down is 3 of 6 and now we've got a whistle on a timeout in fortnight's.
Going to use their last time out with seven minutes and 11 seconds left here in the first half.
So you look at all that time left RJ you mentioned it more than half of the second period is remaining and then they're having a 7th, 3rd down attempt already.
That shows you they've had to struggle for everything they've got.
They've had to use the the full allotment of downs.
They're given you've got to give a big credit to this McCrory defense.
They're staying in their lanes or maintaining their assignments and just making life difficult.
By the way, I, you know earlier we talked, we saw the the sticker on the back of the McCrory helmet and said sandbox, and there's some mccorry alumni that are in the press box that came over and this group has been playing together since they were in grade school and they talked about playing in the sandbox and so they.
Trying to put that on the back of their helmet.
It's always great to see a small school that has the same class growing all the way up, and they've got aspirations of not only being teammates for a long time of being successful.
They get to see a lot of their older brothers or their kids that they grew up idolizing.
Win a state championship back in 2015 and now they got a chance to continue that tradition.
Here's Merritt on 3rd down going big ball has a man down at the 29 yard line.
That time hooked up with Dominic Hammond as he'll be taken out of bounds down to 24.
You know, kind of an out and up or stop and go for Hammonds up the near sideline and he did a great job with this.
Laying it up there for merit.
Hits him and a big play.
And I mentioned RG all it takes is 11 big play and you can see that's a great angle of Hammons.
Going out and up and he hits him in stride and a big play for the red box.
So for Tizzle, send three wide to the near to the far side.
Sledge will be in the backfield with merit.
Can I hand it to sledge?
Works at left side, often defender and he slips down after a 2 yard, maybe 3 yard game.
Riley so that brings up second down and 844 dice.
Methodical drive here and they're out of timeouts.
For DICE or 15 on the play clock, so still plenty of time to get it off.
You have to move a little quicker.
So five wide receivers in the formation for Fordyce Merritt is alone in the backfield.
He'll take it up the middle himself spins down at the 16 yard line.
It's going to be short of the first down and then I'll bring up another third down for Fordyce Friedkin and doesn't stay home and make that open field tackle that's a walk in touchdown for merit #9 right in the middle of the defense, recognizes quarterback draw comes up and makes the play, but it might have been.
Even bigger pulley, if not six points.
If Kenan doesn't make that tackle on the QB.
So third down in two with the ball at the 16.
Four wide receivers in the formation sledges in the backfield.
Merritt gonna keep himself once again trying to get the edge going for the first down and Bobby.
I don't know if he got it.
He's gonna be really close.
It's a great job.
By Mccrory's defense to to stretch that out as designed quarterback sweep to the outside and he's got the ability to cut it up at any point.
He sees the scene, but the Jaguar defense.
Nice job of staying in their lanes and continues to force that one to the outside and it is going to be a fourth down.
Yeah, he got back to the line of scrimmage and it'll be fourth down and two mass substitutions.
They bring all those receivers out.
The big lineman coming in.
Not go back to that wing T look and see if they can just pick up these two yards on the ground.
Look at that big number 78 on that far side for four times.
That is Tyler Davis.
Here's Sledge, I don't know it's not sledged that's his running back Walker who checked in the ball game.
He walked through the end zone for the first four dice touchdown.
It is trusted.
Those big bodies up front.
RJ and Walker breaks through initial wave runs through an arm tackling Walker gets back into the end zone, his 9th touchdown of the season, and this game far from over on to kick.
The extra point is Andy Luna.
And you may not be interested.
The kick is away and it is good.
Is it barely got in to the right side that up right?
And we've got a 12 to 7 McCrory lead with 523 to play here in the second quarter.
That's a big bounce.
Back drive right there to get the offense going.
You finally Papa big play in the passing game as Merritt hit his receiver up the sideline for 36 yards and then the ground game.
Walker does breaks free and gets into the end zone.
The extra point.
If certain things are gonna get real interesting, as Fordyce not only back in the game, they get the ball to start the second half.
So there's plenty of time left here in the second quarter for both these teams to do something.
So they'll tear it up at the 40 yard line and every kick from Luna so far has been a short kick.
Artavious Harrison back there and now.
They'll take it at the 15 best kick of the day.
And here's a run out past the 30 close to 35.
They'll take him down right at the 35, and so they were 30.
Excuse me 34 and will be first and 10 for McCrory at that point.
Now we'll see how the Jaguars respond.
Fordyce came back and and bounced, bounced around.
Got a response score and we'll see what the Jaguars can do.
There's a look right now at case and Campbell, the quarterback.
For mcrorie you got to be able to stunt that momentum and Fordyce getting their crowd into it.
Nice answer Dr. Would be big from McCrory right for the half.
Here's a handoff that goes to Neil and he'll take it out to the 35 for a 1 yard gain.
Not much doing.
There's the Fordyce defensive front held their ground and they take down Neil just beyond the line of scrimmage clock rolls at 5 minutes to play here in the first half.
Free wide receivers are going to be on the near side of the formation.
Is Campbell takes the shotgun snap.
He'll swing it out and that time was able to hook up with his wide receiver and ball Wheeler.
That was Wheeler who just slid to the turf and he I think he got a yard and then I'll bring up third down and eight for McCrory.
Kind of a timing route.
There hits receiver on a quick out but he mentioned he goes down to a knee and slides to a stop program that would have had a chance to.
Catch and run, but they're the high school level is immediately blown dead and starting long hairs.
Campbell looking to throw as a receiver picks up the first down out to the 47 yard line.
That time was able to hook up with recent rushing the great job by rushing to find a hole in his own.
This sit down in it and Campbell just delivered a laser or right to his receiver and they moved the chains in a much needed first down.
That's exactly how you design that play.
You just find a little seam in the defense.
You sit down in it and Campbell delivers it on time.
Move the chains fresh shutdowns from McCrory as the balls at the 47.
Gonna hand it off straight up the middle.
This is Neil he's got running room all the way down to the.
26 yard line.
Got a big run.
Great job.
By the offensive front they they seal off a nice running lane for Neil.
He explodes through it and a big gain from work or the backside guard pulls kicks out.
I believe that was 55 Briley.
It's the kick out block and that's allowed the big running lane now.
Here's kenan.
Cannon will get 2 yards on the play and then I'll bring up second down.
Look at those rushing numbers mcrorie 79 yard rushing Fordyce 54.
If you would have told the two coaching Staffs before the game, that's what the numbers are going to be late first half McCrory would have said I'll take that every day.
Four times would have been happy with him 'cause they know they need to run the football to be successful.
I would have coming into this game if I would have told you that McCrory that Fordyce would have been leading in the passing department.
Thank you.
Might have kind of looked at me.
Kind of crazy.
So it's second down now.
Board the 23 yard line C55 in your screen right there, Briley.
He's making plays on both sides.
The linebacker and the offensive guard.
I'm out now.
McCrory their second so now McCrory is only got one timeout remaining with 246 to play here in the second quarter.
So big drive from McCrory not only our response dry but you want to chew up as much of this clock as you can.
Four ISIS got a little momentum offensively.
You don't want to give them the football back.
The chance to chip in to your leader potentially take their own lead before we head to intermission.
Well and think about this.
Bobby McCrory won the toss and they elected to receive the football first.
So four dice is going to get it.
So if McCrory.
Can score here before the half that would be big momentum going into the locker room.
It really would be.
I mean, you're talking about, you know you.
You stunt all the momentum that four days just got with that score and able to respond and you take the the air out of the sails.
If you will.
The crowd on the near side for four dice and you give yourself all the momentum at halftime.
So it's second down in seven.
As Campbell is going to be in the shotgun.
Neil is going to be offset to his left.
Gonna hand it to Neil Neil.
Just dives forward, gets a yard on the play to bring up third down.
Yeah, whole heap of bodies right there in the middle led the way the code of Wimberley number 30 for Fordyce.
Merits also there.
Huge huge third down upcoming.
Third, and seven.
So it's third down and seven.
But the ball at the 22 yard line.
Here's Campbell all day to throw.
Now he's gonna run has nowhere to go as it looks like he may have gotten back to the original line of scrimmage and so that'll bring up fourth down, Britain sledge among the red bug defenders who got their hands on the quarterback and just got in just beyond the line of scrimmage.
Maybe back to the line of scrimmage, but it's going to be fourth down and I'd expect McCrory to take every bit of this 42nd play clock.
Maybe run this down.
Take a time out and think about it.
And you know.
Bobby, if you if you're mcrorie.
You might think about trying to set up a screen pass or something like that to.
To open the field, there's three wide receivers to the topside.
Here's a pass.
It's caught past this first down marker and that time coming up with the catch for McCrory, it was Reese rushing.
Rushing is the go to receiver.
That's unclear today.
He had the big cats that got behind the defense in the first quarter.
That set up the touchdown and now he's been able to find a couple holes in this Fordyce defense and come through in a big moment.
But again, Campbell, the great delivery on time to his receiver.
Three wide to the near side.
Hands to kneel again he tries to work it to the outside and gets back to the line of scrimmage.
Alan Wimberley combined for the play there.
Or under a minute to play here in the first half.
Check again.
Campbell going to look to throw goes to the end zone.
It's intercepted in the end zone.
It's taken by 4 dices, Jacoby Walker and Walker is gonna go out of bounds.
That's a big turnover for the red bugs.
What a great job.
I walk her there and they needed to play defensively to make sure this stays A1.
Possession game going into the half and he just makes the interception in the end zone brings it out past the 20.
It should be just shy of the 20 and that is a huge momentum swing going into the locker room.
Look at this replay right here.
It was a good throw, but just he never saw him.
I think that's just more the better coverage Walker kind of undercut the poster out and ran the route just as well as the receiver did.
Makes the play and say he's a playmaker.
Once he gets the ball in his hands.
Well teams now with one turnover in the ball game.
Don't forget you can join the football conversation on social media.
Just use the hashtag.
AARP BS sports.
So it's first and ten with 34 seconds left as the balls at the 17.
Merits under center gonna hand it off and he lost the handle on it.
McCrory says they came up with it.
They they do.
How about that Bobby?
He just what he was running.
It fell out of his hands.
Yeah, you know Fordyce was going with no timeouts.
They're going to be content just running the football once and getting into the half.
But they try the trap play and it's not able to secure the football.
Looks like mark ways.
Roper this ball just completely comes out of his hands.
There was no defender really right in his face.
It slips out.
McCrory right there to jump on the loose ball and now they've got a chance to atone for their previous mistake and put some points on the board in the last 30 seconds of the first half.
That's the first carrier.
For Roper, the ball game and it's a turnover now, here's Campbell gonna hand it to Neil Neil straight up the middle has a running lane down to the 10 yard line.
He's a yard shy of the first down there's 20 seconds and counting left here in the second quarter.
McCrory has one timeout.
Child kind of a delayed draw.
Their Tennille a lot of time running off here.
They're gonna be under 10 seconds by the time they snap it.
Down to 7 seconds.
Campbell gonna look to run Campbell still on his feet to five he dives.
Is he in?
He's in for the touchdown.
Last play of the first half thought McCrory might have shot themselves in the foot by not taking a timeout, but a quarterback that had all of his legs and reaches for the goal line.
They call for a score and will have to look for the replay to see if he indeed did cross the goal line.
Yeah, there may be a replay of his knee guide X he had to stretch out for the goal line on this one.
If you're McCrory, I think you want to get up there and and get this thing off.
And it does look like there's going to be a replay.
It's good.
Look at it here.
That right knee might have been down before he extended the right arm.
That's a pretty good look at it there.
Well, I tell you that's a great athletic effort by.
Campbell to stretch out like that.
It's going to be incredibly closed by Bobby.
It really isn't that right knee as he was extending his right arm might have come down and the ball was about the 1 yard line and see if we can take another look at it.
You know, it's important to remember the ruling on the field was a touchdown, so there's got to be evidence to overturn it.
Watch his right knee.
Really happened.
Right there.
Yeah, I think he's short.
He's reaching out for the goal line and just remember the ball doesn't have to cross the goal and it has to just just to touch the white paint.
Right here it does look like his right knee comes down before that ball touches the plane.
That is a tough tough.
I mean initial initial look at it Bobby.
It looks like he may be short, but.
It's got to be without a doubt, right?
It does and right there I think shows enough video evidence that he was down short of the goal line.
It's going to be a different different angle at it.
Don't forget, I mean the images you're seeing on your TV at home.
That's what the replay guys are looking at.
And he comes down, you see where the football is that right there.
And I think that replay and you kind of line it up with the previous angle and you kind of add the pieces together.
I if I'm in that booth, I probably say he's down, but we'll have to wait and see what the the officials in the in the booth about four doors down from us had to say about it.
The officials are still looking at it.
I mean, they're taking a long look at it and.
So we don't don't believe we have it down the line shot right down the goal line and that may be the difference.
RJ yeah, you can't tell exactly since the camera angle is at an angle you can't see if it was.
The ball is across the plane or touching the the plane of the goal line before that knee hits.
And here's the thing, this is a huge play.
This one.
This is a huge.
There's no time left on the first half clock and this could give McCrory a ton of momentum going into the locker room to me.
That that that spot right there where they've got it froze, and I think that tells me he's down short of the goal line.
But one thing you don't know.
I mean where the football where the football is in relation to the to the goal line.
I mean it's we could see the real estate between his knee and the goal line.
You know how tall he is?
Now we're getting really into the weeds of it.
You know his his arms, not nine feet or three feet long.
And I, I just.
I don't think he got there.
Great effort, I just I just think he came up about a half a foot short.
The artificial today William Frey is taking the headset off and.
He's talking with his umpiring.
Let's get the call.
Now another aspect we haven't we've touched on is there any time left on the clock when his knee hit that they may have been looking at that as well.
And McCrory does have a timeout.
Very governor.
After review the ruling, the rule is ruling is that the player was down on the 1 yard line with one second line wow, so they get one second left.
Now set the clock to one second.
Will take their time out to stop the clock and so they get another shot at it.
I think they got the call right time out, so there's your time out.
OK, so.
You've got one second.
Mcrorie calls their time out.
They have no more, and you've got the ball at the 1 yard line.
What are you calling Bobby?
You know the adds a lot of success running the football right up the middle.
Whether it's with Neil or whether it's with Campbell, the quarterback, or even Ken.
And so they've had some success running the football as there's another angle at it.
And I don't think you need to get cute.
I mean, there's no point trying to put the ball in the air.
Just trust your offensive lineman.
Trust your running backs to pick up a yard and try to go in the half up two scores.
Yeah, I mean, read Kenangan lutrell Neil.
Have both been really impressive today for McCrory.
But do you think I mean, right?
You know that Fordyce is going to stack the box right up the middle.
Been at the one.
Do you almost bounce it outside and try to get something on the edge?
And this may be a check with me type situation to you line up and you see what 4S is going to line up defensively.
You see where they put the big bodies in the interior.
And maybe you check the play and inaudible into something different.
So McCrory is going to have four wide receivers in the formation.
Campbell is going to be under center.
Campbell's going to keep himself trying to get into the end zone.
And he's in for the touchdown second efforts and the extra push from behind able to get the Jaguars offense into the end zone and a big momentum swing in the final seconds of this first half.
He didn't have it at first Bobby didn't.
He's a great job defensively to stop the initial push, but that's why you see the running back line up so close to the quarterback behind him.
He's able to push him in.
It used to be called aiding the runner, and they've kind of gotten rid of that rule, and you could see Ken and #9.
Pushes his quarterback across the goal line and for the score.
3 plays 19 yards.
It took 28 seconds.
Really took a little bit longer.
They about took about 10 minutes, but either way Mccrory's got the 1 yard touchdown.
It's 18 to 7 and now McCrory is going to go for two.
On 11 point lead try to push it up to 13.
Four hours trying to stop before the half and I handed off to Ken and Ken and gonna dive for the end zone.
The two point conversion is good because.
And it's now 20 to 7 in favor of McCrory as we go to the locker room.
Kyle Sutherland is going ahead.
He's going to be with the Mccorry head coach here momentarily.
And how about that boy that all the momentum goes with McCrory into the locker room was final.
30 seconds was all McCrory that you think they're going to go dejected after they throw an interception in the end zone?
They get the gift of a fumble.
They take advantage thanks to review, and now they've got a 13 point advantage.
But let's head down to Kyle Sutherland on the sidelines.
Chris, a huge score there to end the half, but we've seen four dice this year.
They've definitely been known to.
To have some comebacks, what do you tell your guys to keep up this momentum?
Whether they had out there a second half team, you know we've watched all the film on them, and we know those guys are going to come out.
They've been here as many times they had for no reason.
So you know, we just tell our guys to keep doing what they're doing and don't change anything they coach.
Thank you Kyle, as that was Chris Kennon as his McCrory Jaguars lead 20 to 7 as we head to halftime and you're watching this Centennial Bank State championships on Arkansas PBS Sports.

I hope all of us will take the time and share the love of Christ this season.
May your holidays be filled with joy and blessings.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us at Everett.
We are at the half where McCrory, they lead.
The four dash red bugs by a score of 20 to 7.
I'm RJ Hawk along with Bobby Swofford and Bobby.
Huge momentum for McCrory going into the locker room and if they got that last touchdown last 30 to 40 seconds of the first half had the motions going up and down on both sides.
Fordyce thinks they come up with a big defensive stop.
They get the interception in the end zone by the very next play, or they're just going to run the football once run out the clock, go into the half down just 12 to 7.
Instead.
They turn the football over.
Give her Korea second chance.
And what good teams do with second chances?
They take advantage and that was a huge swing of momentum offensively.
For four guys they were really just inconsistent there in the first half and they couldn't get the push going up front.
A lot of the credit has to go to the play of the mercury defense that you take away.
The big pass.
Play the Blues a 44 yards down the sideline.
Four hasn't been able to get anything going offensively as coach Ken and just said though for us is the second half team they've been in a lot of close games all season long.
This game is far from over and if you remember last week in that semifinal game for Fordyce, they won seven to six and they trailed the entire.
Damn, it was six nothing.
The entire game.
They came back and got the lone touchdown they needed it with the playmakers they have at running back and even at quarterback all Texas one play.
And then you know as soon as they find the same one broken tackle in space it could be a big play up the sideline.
You know this game is far from over and these two teams going at the half.
They're probably both feeling not terrible about themselves.
But obviously McCrory loving where they're sitting.
We have an exciting halftime coming up for you throughout this 20 minutes or so that we have during the two A state championship stick around.
You don't want to miss any interviews.

Hey, what's up everybody.
It's the second weekend of state championship action here on Arkansas PBS I'm your host, David Bazzell.
Welcome to the halftime show sponsored by the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas.
Tonight we're going to introduce you to a very determined young play by play announcer who has risen above some unique challenges to practice her craft and later are Jayhawks is down with student athlete Joe Phillips, a major playmaker for the Bigelow Panthers.
But first my buddy Steve Solomon is no stranger.
To talking Arkansas sports fans from all over the state.
Tune in for Friday night touchdowns to get his take on the games.
We're lucky to have him here to get his thoughts on the 2021 season Buddy.
Thanks for being here.
I know this is a busy time for yeah, great to be here.
Love State championship time oh silly listen you've covered college pro everything but I think for you high school sports is the most important.
Yeah I look at it on Friday night.
That touchdown may be the only touchdown that players scores.
Want to make it special question for you.
What do Darren McFadden?
Peyton Hillis, Keith Jackson having common three great Matt Jones golfer.
They're all from Arkansas.
The Arkansas athletes I do not know what is it.
None of them played for state championship Ha how about that?
Football is the Ultimate Team sport.
Did you play for state?
I did not know about that where you want to rub it in?
Is that what you're doing there?
But you know one of the things you do to you've done it for many, many years.
You come up with nicknames for players.
Well, how did that happen?
Yeah, Mickey Dean, the touchdown machine?
Yeah, the great Basile.
Shahbaz was the first write it players will come up and say thank you for my nickname as well.
Some will one guy.
Unfortunately, we called him a name he didn't like and everyone started calling him that name, but it's at the high school sports changed in your opinion over the over the decades you've covered ball they have.
I mean, just think of the time put in the facilities.
It's gotten better and bigger.
The great thing I love about the state championships and I love about a state of Arkansas.
It's so different you can.
It's a clash of cultures sometimes.
The championship games.
Great example.
When McClellan played Pulaski Academy those schools are say 10 miles apart.
They're so totally different and those kids may never see each other in life again.
But for that two hours in the football field will gain respect for each other and I love seeing the the cultures clash.
The you know, the private schools battled the public schools and it's just the memories that last forever.
I got guys my age.
I went to school with they still talk about their championships in McCrory.
Jerry John Sullins was the quarterback.
A big Bob chemo is on the line that was back 3040 years ago and that's a great thing about Arkansas is.
The memories you'll get from this week?
Yeah, it's great to for those who don't know, Sully to see him on a Friday night man.
It's serious business.
Yeah, I'm competing.
Yes, you wanna game jersey and the my greatest championship memory was Shabazz Pine Bluff played Texarkana but Texarkana came in.
They had allowed twelve points all year and I wore a jersey and it had 19 because their big back was Tyrell Dean from Texarkana.
They both have the same colors maroon in 19 on the back Shabazz and someone asked me why do you have been on the front?
Shabazz in the back, 'cause that's all you can see is the back of your positive jersey.
You remember the names and the games and Berks.
Yes Oh yeah, listen maybe maybe the greatest performance.
Second greatest to Shabazz in the championship game and trail and still remembers it was in a losing effort against Arkadelphia when he had the big game this year for the Razorbacks at War Memorial.
He was reminding us smile, brought, you know, a smile on his face because those brought up those memories he had with Warren.
Well, you've made it a special deal to cover high school sports.
I want to thank you.
Your good buddy of mine and you've made sports more interesting.
Especially at the high school level, there's guys that you've given them nicknames and and they'll remember them forever, and so we thank you for doing what you do.
We appreciate that Steve is one of the best in the world at what he does.
He really is.
You know, it's a man's world.
James Brown, saying that back in 1966 and in the world of play by play, announcing that has traditionally been true.
But women are making great inroads.
As announcers, we want to introduce you to a young lady at Cross County High School, honing her craft as a play by play announcer, all while overcoming a unique set of challenges.
Meet Lexie Jarrett.
What's up?
You guys and welcome to CCHS love I'm Lexie Jarrett welcoming in tonight's matchup.
So I always knew that I wanted to go into the sports field.
I just didn't know how, so I didn't want to play sports 'cause I was not gifted with any athletic abilities and that's whenever I realized that I could be a sports analyst telling us on the path to send it.
But she could immediately flip this switch where she is just like camera ready.
James on that one.
That's good today V oh Lupa.
That's gonna be a touchdown for your crowd, counting Thunderbirds.
Second, so it's a lot.
12 timeouts in the game.
There's a lot of things.
If we're going to use all our time outs.
The first female sports commentator for the school and I've just always been really fascinated with it, so I think it's a way to kind of like tell a story and get to show personality through audio.
I would come back with that.
We see Coach Hill that aims personal hot man happened.
Everybody else.
She's been doing it since I believe her 8th grade year and being an anchor and being, you know, analysis and going over stuff and you know each year she's got better.
She was a super confident kid.
She likes being in the action.
She likes getting to talk to these coaches and she is not scared to stick a microphone in someone's face.
I'm here field side with AJ Bill, one of our seniors here on your cross county Thunderbird football team.
Always researching, always asking questions, always watching her own live feed throughout the week and trying to find things that maybe she could do better.
The live stream was giving her those opportunities just to grow.
Correct, well trips is going to be 3 receivers.
Bynes is when all three are bunched up together.
Bunch right bunch left.
I learned that one this week.
OK, Baltimore going to hand it all trying to run up the center there gonna be brought down.
Looks like around the 31 yard line whenever I first heard I wasn't the best commentator and the way I would practice was turning on at Chiefs games and just commentating it without the audio quarterback changes the play an audible audible good.
There you go and when she loves something then then she goes, you know head over heels.
You know full throttle to do whatever it is she's in trouble.
One handycat.
Honest, silent running down through the goal caught it.
I mean freaking Spiderman did the play of the season play of the year.
Kovir yes, I'll push you on that.
You know she is a story that is unlike any that most people think of.
When you think of someone's vision like she's overcame a lot in a really short amount of time.
Middle School 5th grade 4th grade.
Just that takes that.
She has started with just head jerking head nodding.
The earliest member I had was at that time I was at my grandma's house and I remember making this like face.
I really didn't think anything of it, but my grandma was always like eating this up.
Me taking that face or you're gonna create a habit of it and that's whenever I started noticing it.
I didn't at the time, didn't know what Tourette's was.
I was like huh?
Maybe I just have.
Something weird going on.
The biggest challenge is actually like the motor portions of it, so you had vocal tics in the past, there not as prominent now.
But my biggest thing is my head shakes.
It looks like I'm agreeing with people a lot and so that just really gets in the way.
My neck will get super tired so I'll be exhausted by the end of the day and then whenever I commentate, my headset will move.
So my mic, you'll hear a random things and it's like my mic either touching like my face somehow or it's driving up and down 'cause my head is moving definitely been times where.
Things have been said and sometimes they knew the students knew what they were saying.
Sometimes they just didn't know that she had threads, even though they're not made to be hurtful.
Those can sometimes really bother me and give me insecure about it, and I think that's honestly probably the biggest part of it.
It's just having to deal with the little comments that are made that aren't meant to be hurtful.
They just kind of end up that way.
AJ looking here trying to find a passcode assigment being a woman in sports build, it's something that I'm super passionate about wanting to make a change and leave my mark on that field is what drives me.
What Lexie has to struggle with day today is what makes her so great at what she does when Mike comes on like she kind of puts all that stuff on the back burner and she just runs with it.
Make my family proud and make those that have seen me like go through what happened in the past to what I am now.
I think that's also very motivating.
She found her passion she's found.
What she wants to do, and she's going after it.
You know, full four signing off from CCHS live on Lexie Jarrett.
Go Lexie go.
Who knows, she may be helping us out with these broadcasts soon.
And just like Lexie over the airwaves, office in a defensive lineman, Joe Phillips of the Bigelow Panthers has been making himself heard all season.
He and RJ Hawk took time to chat about the season and his future plans.
Alright Joe, you know Bigelow Arkansas Small Town, USA.
You know you're really interesting cat because your dad's a local preacher.
You've been doing football and and hanging out with your buddies since 7th grade.
This is really been a family for you, right?
Yes Sir, it has been and we're like family.
If you don't know him, you're gonna know us.
You know what's interesting about you in this football team?
Is that just a few years ago you did not win a football game?
And now I mean at this point.
You're undefeated, one of the top seeds in the state of Arkansas.
What's that?
What's that journey been like?
I don't know.
Last year, everybody called us the Cinderella story, and, uh, you know when we played desert Desert, do we knew going in there, it was going to be a really hard game and this year I think we've kind of proved that, you know big loads here to stay.
Let's talk something away from football for a minute.
I mentioned a minute ago your dad, he's a minister here in town.
What's that like?
I mean, not only are you a senior, everybody looks up to the seniors, but I mean.
You can't get in trouble in Bigelow or your dad's gonna find out.
Yeah, that is a little bit of a problem every once in awhile.
You know I do something in school or I say something.
I probably shouldn't be saying he's gonna find out about it.
You you think about your entire playing time at Bigelow?
There's one rivalry that always sticks out.
Its Perryville and they've had your numbers for the last few years until this year.
Payable.
Don't seem to like us in football and we don't seem to like them and football and it's just you know out of sports.
Big loan payable.
I mean, it's like we're in the same town.
Everybody mourns together by laughs together, but when it comes to high school football in high school sports, it claws come out.
What was that atmosphere like?
I mean, I, I would imagine last person out of town, turn off the lights, everybody was there.
It was like playing in a.
It's like playing at War Memorial when everybody is there.
You know it's it's a great atmosphere.
Everybody is just laughing.
Everybody's having a good time.
You know one thing that you talked about with me prior to this interview was that life after school after high school you want to go into nursing.
You know, I've always wanted to help people, my mom and my dad.
They both raised me, you know.
Be respectful, young man always help people that are in need and I really looked at my options and look what I was good at and I think nursing is where I can go to help people.
The most awesome.
Well, thank you for the time but even thank you.
Good luck the rest here.
Thank you all the best to Joe.
That's it for half time.
Remember that you can revisit his story as well as all the other great halftime coverage from Arkansas PBS by going to my ourpbs.org backslash sign up.
I'm David basil.
Let's get you back to the action at War Memorial for the conclusion of the two eight Championship game.
Own your home for the high school state finals.
Arkansas PBS.
The electric cooperatives of Arkansas over 2500 team members across 17 local electric distribution co-ops powering homes, farms and industries somewhere across Arkansas.
We are the electric cooperatives of Arkansas power and people.
It's 20 to 7 here at War Memorial is at sunset, starts to go behind the press box here at War Memorial Stadium.
We've got a whole half of the two.
A state championship left Bobby and and if the first half was anything like with the second half is going to be like this is going to be a good one.
I think this opening Dr of this third quarter is going to be really big.
Four ice is going to get the football to start all the moment in the final minute went the other direction and once the McCrory side so Fordyce had has the 20 minutes to kind of rally the troops gather their thoughts.
And also put that first half behind them will see what they've tried to do.
Try to put together offensively.
They struggled to score last week.
You know we scored seven points in the victory over Clarendon.
They're gonna need at least 13 more here in the second half.
They want to extend this extend this game.
And so I, I think you're going to try to find a way to get the Gyrich Walker.
He didn't get enough touches in my opinion, in that first half.
Let's go ahead and take a look at some first half highlights that we had there in the first half.
Because, you know what really?
In a 27 game there was.
You were wondering, is this thing ever gonna get going and it really did in the second quarter is.
Both teams made their way onto the playing surface and really it was all it was.
All four dice and and it was really all McCrory the first quarter and four dice just sputtered through out there in the first quarter of play.
The one thing that really jumped out to me and you could kind of say this about both sides and never really had a clear float.
166 yards of offense from McCrory 114 for Fordyce.
But you know defense made plays a lot of tackles for loss.
There's a couple challenges that that slowed the game down.
It just never seemed to have a really good nice flow to it.
As that first half took all well over an hour and a half.
If you include the halftime and so you know, maybe see if that through forward.
I soften the red bugs have made another wardrobe changes.
They're going back to the black jerseys.
You know, the only time in state championship games that I've ever seen a team change uniforms at halftime was Pulaski Academy because they you know they've got about 14 different uniforms over PA.
But now four devices they started in the red uniforms.
Now they're coming out in the black and white uniforms, so we'll see those here in the second half.
But yeah, you know, really.
Yeah, we we've seen defensive play after defensive play here in the first half.
And I even though you've got a 20 to 7 score, I think you credit both.
These defense is playing really well.
I mean you, you're talking about limiting Fordyce to 114 yards and the play defensively for McCrory as we see with the quarterbacks, been able to do merits a couple times, he's had some open targets.
He hasn't been able to hit them because of pressure.
They've had to force him off the spots and he hasn't been able to the set his feet and make accurate throws.
His four dice in that first half, just four of nine passing.
So a lot of credit goes to that defense.
They're making plays in an open field, and that's why they've got a 20 to 7 lead and let's sit down the sidelines as Kyle has Tim Rogers coach.
This is not unfamiliar territory for you guys.
You've had some comebacks already this season.
What do you tell your guys at halftime?
From, uh, you know, made a lot of mistakes and I told him I'm been doing his 38 years and that's probably one of the dumbest things I've ever done in my life right there.
Towards the end of the half.
And I told the kids, I'll take responsibility forward.
Not gonna place it on anybody else.
My coaches are hollering taking me.
I know.
I don't know why I did that.
I just I just went down my guess, but hopefully the kids will come out, overcome coaching, and hopefully, I mean, we've been in this situation before, you know?
So the kids have overcome coaching before and.
I'm hoping and will get after second half and they'll probably overcome coaching again here in the second half.
Thank you, coach.
Back to you guys as that was Tim Rogers.
I mean he's honest.
Yeah, he's taking the blame.
You know what?
What he's referring to is the fumble right before the half they run the trap play, which actually had a pretty big hole, had a chance to pick up some yardage, but they didn't have timeouts to stop the clock and it all they had to do was run one play, take one knee and they could have got into the half, but instead they turn it over.
Allow McCrory to get into the end zone on the final play.
Of regulation in that second quarter, and that's why it's a 13 point margin.
But you like it, coach?
I mean, he's going to take the blame when it's on him, and in that time he says it's on him.
He fell on the sword and now his team.
He's a very good coach by G. He's been doing it a long time.
He's won a lot of games, recent there defending state champion.
They're not out of this one by any means.
Hey, let's take a look at the first half.
Stats for this 2A state Championship game has in the first half passing.
Really Fordyce had 58 yards passing mccorry at 65 on the ground.
McCrory had 101 yard rushing compared to the 56 for four days.
Total yardage is in favor McCrory with 166 to the 114 for four dice.
But I think the turnovers Bobby is where you can really point the finger for Fordyce.
Yeah that those turnovers resulted in points all 14 points to be exact.
So from Macquarie.
But the one thing that's not on that statute and it's really not something that you think about except for when it happens, is starting field position.
McCrory hasn't had the March a full 80 yards every time.
They've received the kickoff that's better right around the 40 to the 45 yard line.
They got advantage of the turnover that they started inside the 30 and turnovers have a lot to do with that.
They're taking advantage of good field position now forward.
I seems to try to to flip that advantage going their way.
Well, both teams have made their way back onto the playing surface here at War Memorial City.
We've got about a minute 30 left until the second half starts.
Some keys to the game for both teams for four days, so I think you gotta get to the ball to the guy we talked about the start of the broadcast and that's driving Walker #6.
Find a way to get him the ball in space or just trust the run.
You know, give the ball to him.
You know time and time again, use that size of your offensive line to try to wear down that McCrory defense and going back the other direction.
And there's not a whole lot I would change if you're Macquarie, especially defensively.
They alignment to have they're able to establish the line of scrimmage even though they're undersized, it can set four dice off into front.
They're doing a good job, and I think you know another score.
They might be able to put this game away.
Well, it'll be a lot of fun.
I. I would imagine one thing that really didn't work a whole really well was Fordyce when they went back to that three yards and a cloud of dust.
It just didn't really work for him.
There in the first half?
Yeah, that's because they're not winning at the line of scrimmage.
Those big guys they had, even though they had the size advantage.
They're not moving the point of impact.
They're not moving that line of scrimmage when good Wing team teams are successful.
As soon as they snapped the football, the line of scrimmage goes from here to here or right now it's not moving.
And and what?
It's still made up front.
That's a win for the defense.
Well, we are about set for second half action as.
It looks like Fordyce they are going to receive the for the second half kick and McCrory is about to kick off to start the second half and look at the weather hits dropped about 10 degrees since we started this ball game.
It's 42 degrees in the second half.
We do have clear skies but a seven mile an hour wind out of the southeast and so as the game goes on the colder it's going to get.
I know last night in that for a game those footballs started to get really hard as the colder it got.
So we'll watch out for that.
Throughout this game as well.
Mcrorie is gonna be set to kick away.
As we start the second half.
And it is a short kick, almost an onside kick that is going to be recovered down at the 47 yard line in McCrory territory.
That was not.
I don't think how they want to start the second half.
No, it says it's a great start for Fordyce.
We talked about the field position game and now they get to start a drive.
On the plus side of the 50 and all it's going to take is one play here.
Another play there.
A key block and popular running back free and and 4S could get right back in this game.
So I just got a text that the switch of the uniforms is nothing new for Fordyce that it's a good luck charm for them to switch and go into the second half with a different uniform.
I'm a fan of the All black with the white helmets that's in the nice clean look and those numbers are easy to read.
So here we go for Fordyce.
As with the football is merit and he escapes one tackle retreats and has nothing going as he'll be taken down all the way back at the 42 yard line.
That is a huge loss for for Dyson landed.
Headley is the one who's gonna get credited with the the big tackle for loss.
For those defensive lineman up front made the play they they held up merits at the point of attack and then Headley finished him off and they dropped him way behind the line of scrimmage and loss of 11.
So it will bring up second down in 21 with the ball to Fordyce 42 yard line.
Merritt's going to look to throw as a man left side.
That's Walker and he dropped it.
Yeah, that's that's what you want to do right there?
They get Walker on the the shallow cross you hit him in stride and he had a chance to run after the catch and pick up a lot of that yardage back in and then some.
But he didn't secure the football.
Now it's third and a mile for the red box.
Train merit in the first half.
Four of 10 passing for 58 yards.
And that one doesn't go on him.
He delivered a good ball.
I had good protection from up front.
She was going to help him out.
Here's the third down play for Trey.
Merit looking downfield has a man that time hooked up with Hammonds and Hammonds fell out of bounds at the 43 yard line.
It's going to be well short of the first down.
It's a great job though.
You know you're likely going to go for it on 4th down they pick up about 11 or that RJ and get themselves into a 4th and manageable so it's 4th down today on 4th down the red bugs.
One of two.
Three wide receivers to the topside.
The formation.
Merritt gonna roll to his left under pressure, dumps it off as they're going to call it an incomplete pass, and that's gonna be a turnover on downs for Fordyce.
And actually probably a good play Bobby, because if he takes the sack back there, that gives McCrory great field position.
You may be asking how is that not intentional grounding but the blocker that was out there with the quarterback was actually his running back.
An eligible receiver.
So that's why it's not intentional grounding, but still a big loss.
It will be a turnover on downs, weather spotting the ball at the 45 yard line.
I don't think they realize that was fourth down.
The officials haven't flipped sides of the field.
Yeah, I mean because the ball was yeah.
They're going to.
They're going to say as an incomplete pass, so they McCrory is going to get the ball back at the 43 yard line in their own territory.
A great job defensively in your defense.
Kinda not backed all the way up against the wall, but you start the second half and four dice has got the drive in your territory and they don't give up much those McCrory and now their offense is back out on the field.
With all that momentum they're able to muster in the final 30 seconds of the first half, shadows have taken over the entire field here at Simmons Bank Field.
And.
It's first and 10 for mcrorie.
Never switched the leather.
It's very long, drawn out delay in between, flipping out the footballs.
Here we go first and 10.
Here's Campbell handing it off to Neil as a running lane out to the 50 yard line.
Great first run by Latrell Neil as we queue up the replay.
In this I want you to watch the Sinner before McCrory against the nose tackle for four dice.
You're talking about a size advantage or disadvantage and look, he turns him and creates the running lane right there.
What a great job by 65 from McCrory Clay Holowell.
Listen at five 10205 and establishes that running line even though he's given up.
Probably about 100 pounds.
Here's Neil.
Jenny bobbled the snap and he's going to pick up two yards on the play to bring up third down.
That shows you as a as an offensive lineman.
It's not about size.
It's about leverage.
As long as you've got proper footwork and you keep your hands inside, you can.
You can move a much larger body as long as you've got the proper technique, and that was a great job.
By Holowell on that first down play, so it's third down in two with the ball at the Fordyce 49 yard line.
Campbell has three backs in the backfield.
Gonna hand it off to Ken and this time Ken and stretches out past the 45 and he will get the first down as well.
Spotted at the 45 yard line.
Got just enough of a push up front and Mccrory's offensive line is is starting to move that that line of scrimmage just ever so slightly.
As long as they're going backwards.
Talk about the forest defensive line that's going to equal good opportunities for for big play opera chances I should say for McCrory.
This follows the lead blocker, Neil.
And gets the three yards needed first and 10.
Kneels in the backfield with Campbell.
As Campbell's going to take it himself works, it past the 45 and takes it down to the 42 yard line.
It'll be a pick up of three yards.
And I bring up second down.
So they go run up the middle, run up the middle, run up the middle, and then they go quarterback to the outside.
But Fordyce recognized that and and held that to just pick up at three.
And the nine minutes to play here in the third quarter is McCrory leading Fordyce 20 to 7 in the two A state championship game.
Now here's Ken, and with a run right side stiff arm out past the 35 and taken down to the 32 yard line.
That was a huge stiff arm he laid to get to the first down as a great job by Kennedy.
They tried the speed sweep.
They get him the ball trying to get to the outside and he uses that that that off arm the left hand and pushes away the defender and picks up extra yardage.
After.
That's a great look at his hand on the face.
You're not bringing me down.
I'll pick up some extra yards after contact.
So it's first and 10 ball at the 32 yard line.
820 and counting.
Here in the third.
Campbell going to hand it off to Neil running Lane in the middle big chunks of yards.
He'll get nine that time.
The interior blocking from Macquarie.
It's been really impressive on this drive.
RJ the Center and the Guards are doing their job.
They're creating just enough space for the running backs to sneak through and get to that next level.
That time it was a trap.
Play that pull the pull the guard and 63 makes the seal out.
Block hidden fields.
It's it's simple physics.
You get him going upfield.
You get the guard to come over and kick him out and run right behind him, sagging down in one.
Nails in the backfield.
Campbell hands it to him as a running lane again, out past the 20 to the 19.
He's got a fresh set of downs from McCrory that played looked a little congested in the back field.
They tried countertrade.
They pulled the right guard and right tackle.
They got kind of held up in the congestion, but they didn't need much for the first down.
They're able to pick it up.
You know, looking at the defensive line for four days compared to the McCrory offensive line.
They are a bigger or defensive line, but right now McCrory is getting bigger push that they're winning.
That's a line of scrimmage and it's all about will and want to up there.
And you know from what I've seen the technique advantage that Macquarie has their their their pad level was lower and that's what I would win at the point of impact.
Here's Ken and taking the jet sweep for no gain is he'll get back to the line of scrimmage at the 19.
Front five are honoring their keep well, they're going to.
Earn a post game meal.
Especially they can finish this drive off and you think if they can take a three score lead and how much time have they been able to chew up off this clock on this drive already.
They're just they're.
They're content with three 4-5 maybe Pop 08 or 10 yard run and watching that clock continues to tick down even though we're still in the third second down and ten with the ball at the 19 yard line.
Neil in the backfield gonna hand it to him.
He's gonna be met at the line of scrimmage and dropped right there and that's a great job the other way we've been had complimentary of the offensive line from McCrory, but that time 24, Camilo Allen and 30 Dakota Wimberly for Fordyce got off blocks and able to make the play right at the line of scrimmage.
And now it's third and long for the Jaguars.
602 and counting.
Here in the third quarter.
Mcrorie trying to add to their 20 to 7 lead.
Campbell in the shotgun with Neal to his right, Campbell gonna look to throw under pressure.
Rolls out going to the end zone and he one hops is wide receiver.
That time as he was trying to hook up with rushing.
Rushing has been the go to receiver in 3rd down situations.
I might like to sing.
Campbell continue to try to pick that up with his legs once he road left to avoid that initial Russia.
There's a lot of green space out in front, but he trusted the arm just couldn't get it to to rushing as he was rolling to his left to try to throw it back across his body.
And I'm pretty sure he could have gotten that first down if he would have kept running now it's gonna be 4th and 10 and they haven't tried an extra.
Points and important trying to field goal.
I'm gonna go for it.
So it's 4th down in 10.
As the ball is at the 19 yard line.
Campbell gonna look to throw goes right side with it as a manthe 15 still on his feet all the way down to the 12 yard line as he was able to get with Ken and and that's going to be a turnover on downs with 526 to play here in the third quarter, we're going to take a break.

We're loving it.
SO4I4 Dice gets the ball on the 12 yard line.
And they'll get a false start to start the drive.
Left guard when their little head start nap.
False Start offense first down, by the way, today's attendance 2964 for this 2A state championship game has.
We've had some pretty good attendances throughout the weekend last two weekends, actually.
So it's now first down in 15 with the ball to 7.
We're going to hand it off near side.
And nowhere to go pursuit.
McCrory defenses has been really impressive.
He's able to dance around.
Avoid the first defender, but now number 23 and four and white jerseys are showing up.
That was bling that time and so then that that brings it down to 2nd and 15.
Try to bounce it to the outside, but they seal the edge.
Try to force him back inside.
Then the Calvary comes.
Second down in 15, with the ball at the seven yard line.
Pool sweeps going to go right?
Sign in the hands of Giric Walker and Walker has really nowhere to go.
He got about two yards on the play.
They tried to get the defense to think it's run left as they used the wingback to go in motion across the formation.
They come toss sweep right from where he left.
Gotta nicely block from his fullback.
He he got the seal but just too many white jerseys out there and he runs out of real estate.
It's forced out of balance officially a 1 yard gain so now it's third down in 14.
McCrory is selling out when they line up in the wing T or the power.
I like.
They've done so many times.
RJ and you've got five down Lineman, 2 linebackers and another walked up on the outside so late in the box.
Eric looking to throw one on one coverage on the outside as it was one on one trying to hook up with Hammonds.
It's incomplete.
A lot of contact at the top of the route there and Hammonds and before dice crowd.
Looking for a flag but they don't get one.
Kamens worn today penalty flag because he was running.
He was out in front of that pass and then they had a lot of tie up right towards the end of the route.
There's going to be a look at it and they just they thought they.
Had a little too much contact.
They wanted interference.
They probably have a pretty decent argument at it.
Here's the punt.
And it is a punt that went Sky high and it's taken down at the two yard line that was about a 1 yard punt and mccorry's gonna get great field position based on 'cause the way the pumps work.
RJ as you well know this makes somewhere it snapped some negative yard punt.
Yes I I was just saying that he kicked it.
Yeah he kicked.
It was about a 1 yard punt that went straight up.
He just you know caught it on too far up his foot and.
Bad turned into worse.
She almost caught that, went into the end zone.
Yeah, he did bad turns in the worst for Fordyce it's.
Would start just to pile up on the red bugs and they can't get anything to go their way.
Coming down with that from Mcrorie 22 I was it was Dalton Reynolds.
So now mcrorie's got great field position at the two yard line.
As Ken and goes right side, he dives for the end zone and they're going to say he's at the half yard line.
So he didn't get there is Cannon was chopped down, just shy of the goal line.
If your mcrorie it's not the end of the world, you get to burn another 30 to 35 seconds still inside the one.
Down to four minutes to play here in the third.
Second down and goal.
Bought a half yard line.
Campbell, we've got penalty flags down.
He goes into the end zone.
Who's movement in the backfield and they're running back.
Snap Ball start number nine.
He leaned forward 5 yards second down trying to get a head start.
There's going to run the quarterback sneak and he was going to push the QB into the end zone again like they did on that earlier in the first half and he just moved too early and.
Back him up five.
So now they're going to have the ball to 6 yard line.
It'll still be second down clocks rolling at 3:40 left here in the third.
All the confusion on the mcrorie sign is they've got guys coming on and off and.
Now they've got it all set.
As Campbell then the shotgun gonna hand it to Neil Neil right side going for him.
He lost it.
He lost it out.
The two yard line.
Well, just slapped out of there, Neil, couldn't I thought he was going to be able to find the goal line.
He lost the football big play there by the Fordyce defense.
It was Reese rushing.
Who came up with the fumble recovery?
For McCrory, it's a play by the receiver to recognize the loose ball and save disaster.
Now it's third down in two with the ball.
It's actually 3rd and goal, but the ball is at the two.
Cannon takes a jet sweep.
He goes for the end zone he's in for the touchdown.
Exact same play.
They ran on first down RJ this time able to get across the goal line and and what a big sequence of events that was the the short punts gives the ball inside the five mccorry able to take advantage and now they've got a three score lead.
It's 26 to 7.
With 238 to play here in the third.
Since 2015 Mccrory's wanna state championship and I think the entire town is here at War Memorial Stadium.
Yeah, and they were one of the best teams in two a all season long and they're certainly looking like the best team in Class 2A today.
They've they've thoroughly dominated up to this point.
So McCrory is going to go for two.
Canon comes in motion.
They'll hand it to him, he's gonna go for the end zone and he's in for the two point conversion.
Big Statement Drive say that's five yards more defensively.
That was a big statement.
What they've been able to do coming out of the half, you think four dice is going to try a few different things before his defense is just not giving up anything.
It's now 28 to 7 with 238 to play in the third.
And really, it's mistakes I look.
McCrory is playing great, don't get me wrong, but mistakes on by four guys to allow for you know.
I mean mccorry got it at the two yard line.
Yeah?
I mean it's just it's exactly right.
Mistakes you can't give give up field position in field position has been slanted so much to McCrory all afternoon long and go back to the start of the second half.
4S got the ball in McCrory territory.
And quickly goes four and out like they couldn't take advantage of it.
Gotta take advantage of those opportunities when you get home, and Fordyce hasn't been able to do it.
That's why they're down by 21.
Honda kick for mcrorie.
It is a Marie Smith.
And it's a squibber that goes in and out of the hands of Walker, and Walker is going to get bottled up down at the 15 yard line.
The whole going wrong for four dice.
This in the big shout out to Ashley Media for helping us get the word out about these state football championships, which we appreciate the support and I guess it's never too early.
RJ start thinking about the hoops.
Oh yeah, whoops, they're going to be coming up in March.
Himself and Westmore and you we will all be down in Hot Springs for the state championships.
Look if we always enjoy those those games, a lot of games, in three days, 12 champions, and gonna be crowned.
Like basketball, definitely go to Hot Springs at second weekend in March when it's first and ten with the ball at the 15 yard line.
Here's Merritt gonna throw it out in the flats.
Find Sledge Sledge gets down to the 14 yard line or she made the yeah.
They're going to officially market at the 15th so we got back to the line of scrimmage.
If it initial read there for for merit or they're trying to stick to the tide in on the right side of the formation out.
It's kind of a delay.
Go route but McCrory had that one covered.
He's going to be on the left side of your screen there.
They sneak him out.
He's not open so he has to throw it out to a safety valve at Macquarie's defense right there.
As you mentioned, holds into a new game.
Second down in 10.
Merritt looking to throw going deep downfield.
It's intercepted at the 30 yard line.
Working it back.
It's gonna be a pick six.
Mcquarrie gets another touchdown.
On the touchdown for McCrory it was Levi Tucker.
The freshman was in the right place at the right time, and the overthrow comes right to him, and it was clear he knew what to do with the football in his hands as he makes a house call and this game has certainly gotten out away from Fordyce.
34 to 7 now mcrorie.
Opening things up here in the third quarter.
Read perfectly.
He's sitting down expecting anything across the middle before did a nice job of chucking the the crossing routes and knocking them off their path, and the overthrow comes right to Tucker.
He puts it in the end zone.
So Campbell is going to be in the shotgun.
He'll have kneeled to his right.
Kennon comes on the jet sweep.
They're going to hand it to him trying to get to the edge spin move still driving, and he can't quite get to the end zone.
And so the two point conversion no good and McCrory they lead it 34 to 7 with 211 to play here in the third.
It's just amazing RJ and footballs the momentum sports between Fordyce gets the interception in the end zone with about 35 seconds left in the second quarter.
They're down 12 to 7 you think they're going to go into the half at that same margin if they fumble the football and all of a sudden they've reeled off 22 straight points.
Has McCrory to put a lot of distance between themselves and Fordyce.
Well, if you're four dice right now, you know they they.
They went back to that that wing T set the entire third quarter.
They had more success in the first half when they spread it back out and we haven't seen much of that here.
In the second, there's kind of like trying to get anything going.
You know, when it's running the football, throwing the football Mccrory's defenses has answered the call, and then you can.
You can change the offense is all you want, but that defense is staying the same and there.
And that's the big reason for the struggles.
Kickoff is gonna be taken by Walker at the 14 yard line.
Walker is gonna be taken down after he gets it out to the.
27 and that'll be first and 10 for Fordyce.
With 204 to play in the third.
After four dice, you know you're probably limited in possessions.
You've got to be able to score quickly and and maybe start stealing some possessions the other way if you want to get yourself back into this contest.
And if you're McCrory, you're just going to keep everything in front.
Try not to give up the big play, make them earn everything they have, just like they have up to this point.
And that clock is your best friend if you're wearing orange and black.
So here's a run by Fordyce.
Is it sledge?
Who's going to get out to the 35 yard line?
When I start to drive, their offensive line gets initial push Sledge gets 8.
Saturday afternoon when a copy of this title game or any of these state championship games, let's go to mmproductions.net.
Place your order.
Here is Merritt taking himself out past the 40 yard line, and he'll be taken down at the 44.
He picks up a first down.
We can try and stop the result are on first down or do their best runs of the day.
I'm back to that carries for Fordyce says line up in the spread and run it right at the McCrory defense.
And move the chains.
So it's first and 10.
Fordyce has spread it back out with four wide receivers in the formation.
Merritt.
Rolling lot left as he'll get it out.
Into the hands of his wideout Taylor Poole.
And Poole gets out of bounds.
It is also the plane first down Rambo.
It's just three plays RJ.
This is the most impressive drive Fordyce has been able to put together since they got it in the end zone.
Really back in that second quarter.
So it's first and 10.
Here's Merritt going right side incomplete, trying to hook up with his wide receiver.
Kristen beland.
Sorry, got tired of sitting back that time they brought pressure from one of the linebackers and I think the internal clock for merit sped up.
He had more protection than he thought.
He threw that football earlier than he planned and overshoots his target coming out of the backfield.
Under 33 seconds here, left in the third quarter.
Four Eyes worked the ball into McCrory territory and they weren't ready for the snap.
And now we've got whistles and penalty flags.
Prior to the SNAP ball start.
Off it.
Second down, that was the 7th penalty for Fordyce in this game for 39 yards.
I haven't been cleaned or really in any Phase I mean, you can't knock the defense.
I mean, if they've had, they've been backed up against the wall for most of the game that I mean 218 total yards from Corey's.
Not a huge number to be given up.
Here's a swing pass that goes left side into the hands of Jacoby Walker and he'll get it to the 49 yard line, which is no gain.
Its not, they're not able to make that initial man Miss Mccrory's been able to make plays and open space, and you know the Fordyce has been able to turn those those little one in two yard pass plays into the flat into to big gainers all season long.
And that that defense is just not giving up anything.
That'll be the last play the ball game is.
We're down to one second and that'll do it for the third quarter of play.
So McCrory they have built a 34 to 7 lead in the two A state championships.

As we get set for the final quarter of football in Arkansas this year.
Arkansas PBS is proud to bring you the high school football state finals live and we're going to be back in the spring with the basketball, baseball and softball finals also live.
Right here on Arkansas PBS.
Then a lot of fun Bobby doing all these games with you and Wes and Kyle and everybody at Arkansas.
PBS Sports is we.
This is your number four that we've been doing these games.
Here's four eyes with the football is they're going to go deep with it on their first drive and it was off the back shoulder that time and trying to come up with it was Gyrich Walker.
And so now they've got a fourth down situation.
It's trying to push the ball down the field.
It's third and long and a pretty good throw in the receiver.
This could not make a play on it.
Football kind of hung up.
Allowed him to run underneath it.
Had a couple steps and they had little contact there at the top of their outputs.
Pool could not reel it in for the red box.
And we got 4th and long.
So it's fourth down in 15 with the ball into 49 yard line.
Looking to throw goes right side with it in knocked out of bounds at time hooking up with is it Walker again?
Yeah swing past the Walker but he's dropped well short of the line.
The game will be a turnover on Downs, has landed heavily and Lathan Brierly both their converged.
Make the play.
And get the offense back on the field for the Jaguars.
I imagine you're going to see a heavy dose here of.
Kenan as we going to wind this clock down here in the fourth quarter, I'd be shocked between him and Neil.
How exactly right, RG.
I think we would be shocked to see.
I would be shocked if they put the ball in the air with Neil Cannon.
Even the quarterback run game with Campbell.
They haven't checked, you know, turned up huge numbers of yards 146 yards on the ground, but they've been effective averaging almost five yards to carry.
So McCrory has two backs in the backfield and I handed off to Ken and Ken and out past the 50 out past the 45 picks up the first down gets to the 44 yard line.
Yeah, you got to finish the game, right?
You gotta finish it strong and Mccrory's feeling it.
And you know, the four dice defenses.
It's going to be down on themselves or down by 27.
This game likely already away from him.
They haven't played poorly on that side of the football again, holding McCrory at 230 yards of total offense at this point.
But it's the field position has been stacked against the red bugs and the Jaguars have punched it in when they've gotten the chance.
It's first and ten with the ball at the 44 yard line.
Ken and Neal in the backfield I handed to Ken and again I'll pass the 40 down to the 39 yard line a pick up a 5 yards on the play.
Second down and five clock rolls.
At 2:45, you're going to use every bit of the play clock.
Let it wind down.
First downs worth about 2 1/2 to 3 minutes of game time.
For content will just continue to pick up five six yards and moving the sticks.
There's a handoff to Ken, and again Ken and pick his spot picks up a yard.
It's third down.
I would like to stop.
This is the longest 10 minutes of the coaches life.
You've got a state championship right in front of you.
Just gotta finish your drive and finish the the path to get there.
And it feels like that's just like saying, ticking through an hourglass if your mccorry just cannot go fast enough and there's nothing you can do to speed it up.
Third down and four under 10 to play.
Campbell going to keep himself and he'll be taken down at the four yard 40 yard line.
It's a 2 yard loss and that brings up fourth down.
Great job by Alan the student there and make it play in the backfield for Fordyce, he's not going to give up so easily.
Runs for a loss today for.
Mcrorie, but that time he drops for loss of a couple.
So 4th down and six just a second tackle for a loss for that red bug defense.
Really no hurry is mcrorie, they're just I've got 7 on the play clock.
And Ken and takes it himself, and dives forward for a gain of two.
And then there's a little kid.
Well, I said it was Ken.
It was actually Campbell, but he didn't know which way anybody there was nobody around.
Whenever he went to give it off.
Yeah, he turned to hand the ball to the the deep man in the pistol.
And well, he went the other direction.
So Campbell had to keep it himself wisely tries not to do too much with it turns it over on downs, but didn't give up any big plays.
So now for Iceland, the football with 855 to play here in the ball game.
To give the special thanks to Community Bakery providing food for our crew and their continued support of Arkansas, PBS airs sledge working it outside the 40s, still on his feet.
There's a penalty flag down back at the 40.
As he was able to pick up about 9 yards on the play, but we'll see what the penalty flying is.
Personal file.
Facemask defense 15 yards from the end of the run.
First down.
That'll help Fordyce.
Azole spot the ball in Mcrorie territory.
At the 37 yard line.
Big drive for dysley.
Trying to get a little confidence, a little momentum heading into the offseason and just finishing drives have been have been a problem.
It moved the football really between the 30s.
Just haven't been able to cap off drives with points.
Here's Walker on the end.
Around out past the 35 upended as he goes out of bounds and will be taken out the 30 yard line took out the official as well.
Nice job by Walker to get to the outside.
Nice play designed to.
To utilize his speed, but he was chopped down on that far sideline.
Showed up with aggression.
I believe that was the 14 Levi Tucker who made the interception.
So it's second down in three with the ball to 30.
The only score for Fordyce in this game came in the second quarter merit looking to throw going big ball left side and it overthrows at that time as he was trying to hook up with Taylor Poole.
They've tried a couple deep shots for Taylor pool full time just out of his reach.
Front of the lanky receiver.
No.
That brings up third down in three with 8:30 on the clock.
Haven't been able to connect on those those big plays.
They've hit one deep pass play today.
That one went for.
36 yards way back in that second quarter that was on their scoring drives falls on the turf.
Merritt picks it up as he gets it back to the line of scrimmage.
It's now 4th down.
Prevent the turnover.
Does the Fordyce offense but another bad quarter quarterback at center and quarterbacks Jane Scuse me.
I just not effective.
Blows the play up before we can get started.
4 * 3.
So they need 3 yards to get the first down here on 4th down and we're under 8 to play.
Three wide receivers to the near side formation.
And just overthrows his intended target that was Jacobi Walker.
And it's a turnover on downs.
And they tried the the bubble screen there and it doesn't work.
Leads his receiver too far up the field and he's running horizontally.
Throws it too far upfield, and it's kind of in the storyline of the day.
RJ just kind of out of sync for this Fordyce offense.
So it's first and 10 now from mcrorie.
Older people are captured by form.
You can purchase your official station.
So far total offense for both these teams.
Mcrorie 235 yards total offense, Fordyce 169 yards of total offense.
As Campbell is going to be in the shotgun and I handed off to Neil.
Neil is going to be hit behind the line of scrimmage back at the 29 yard line.
Great job by Dakota Wimberly to stand his blocker up, able to.
To Chuck him away and make the play.
Second down 11.
So.
It's now second down at 11.
Here's a handoff.
Neil got a running lane out past the 40 and he's taken down at the.
47 yard line picks up the first down and more strong bitter running from Neil and his offensive line again clears the way for him.
Couple Fordyce defenders ended up on the backside and that's a good thing for the offensive line is he got a couple of pancakes and you see it right in the middle again.
It starts with the center and works its way out.
The interior offensive line is I've played very very well for the Jaguar unit.
Fox rolling at six 5648.
Campbell I handed off to Kenan Kenan straight up the middle picks up a couple out to the 49 yard line.
Lone Star you know, outside of what?
One turnover for?
For McCrory pretty much played a solid complete game so far left interception in the end zone is really about the only blemish.
No penalties haven't been much of an issue 5 for 50 yards and they haven't hit a ton of big plays.
They've hit those those middle those middle range plays and broken off a couple runs of 28 yards.
Got the one pass play that set up their initial touchdown that was kind of a busted coverage, but.
Here's Ken and running forward out to the 42 yard line.
That's another first down a lot of those type plays are now has eight to 10 yards and they're not the flashiest flazer not gonna you know, put you on the highlight reel, but those are plays that extend drives and put you in the end zone, and also just demoralizing for a defense is they've got plenty of guys in the box to slow down the run, they just can't make the play before he gets the fresh set of downs and it's a churn.
A little more clock so far in the day.
Read Ken and 15 carries, 84 yards, three touchdowns with trail Neil 16 carries for 98 yards.
Here's Campbell rolling left side.
Cut it back up.
We've got a penalty flag down Campbells out past the 30.
The 29 yard line but I would imagine there's a hold on that left side.
Holding on the offense 10 yards from the spot of the foul.
Repeat first down.
You want a copy of any of the state championship games.
Just go to mmproductions.net to place your order.
It feels like a long time ago we had the eight man game last Thursday.
Yeah, Alpine strong 66 to 60 double overtime game Cali.
It does seem like he was forever ago when we did that eight man game.
Well that was I guess.
Now six and a half, six and 3/4 of a game ago.
Yeah, seven games in two weekends by far my favorite two weekends of the year first and 17 now as Neil's got it under running lane out past the 45 to the 44 yard line.
6 yard gain.
That time it's going to put Neil over 100 yards rushing for the day.
Levitt balanced 103 for Neal, 84 for Ken and Campbells, got 11 carries for 22 yards just to keep you honest.
And it's just a will.
And then they know that running it we know we're right.
They're running it.
Fordyce knows they're running it and it's everywhere they're gonna run it to.
That doesn't mean I'm slowing down, yeah.
I would say the majority of its 75 to 80% have been between the tackles right up the middle and balls on the turf and it's picked up by Campbell and he'll lose 2 yards on the play back to the 49 yard line.
Five yards there, it's first time we've really seen a busted play from McCrory.
Again, just going to let that clock tick 40 more seconds will reel off.
Then again, after third down, actually hit it up, man.
Excuse me, looks like the snap hit Briley.
The guard trying to pull around.
It's 34 to 7 with 340 and counting left here in this Class 2A state championship game.
McCrory hasn't won a state championship since 2015.
They're going to break that snap today.
Here's Neil right side as he'll be upended after he picks up a couple on the play.
Bring up 4th down.
You know so much was said about how.
You know the relationship between case and Campbell and read Ken and coming into this ballgame, and I don't think there's been enough talk about Latrell Neil.
Neil has been a heck of a running back.
He's been a workhorse.
He now he doesn't have the touchdowns Kennons had, but I mean he's over 100 yards rushing and he's been a workhorse for this Jaguar team.
Yeah, he's alone, he's just wait his worries on his 200 pound frame.
It's just tough to tackle time and time again.
And Ford ISIS let him sneak through the cracks a couple times to get some big plays.
It's gotta quit kickin.
Four guys going to punt, punt.
They're down upon.
Excuse me inside the 20 as.
They'll take it down to the 8 yard line, and with two thirty three to play in the ball game, the Jaguars of McCrory they hold a 34 to 7 lead over four times you're watching the Centennial Bank State championships on Arkansas PBS Sports.

The games will be up next week.
Relive them over and over again and listen to the beautiful pipes.
Have RJ Haakon Westmore.
Can't leave you out of it.
It has my pipes are average.
Here's Merritt and the big run out past the 20 yard line.
He's gonna be taken down at the 25 first down.
Probably best run merits had today straight ahead.
Watch the championships over and over next week and we've had some good ones.
Have been eventful two weekends.
Started way back last Thursday with the eight man game.
Yeah, start with eight man game strong won the game 6660 and the first time it's been a sanctioned event with the AAA that we got to do right here.
On Arkansas PBS in the five eight game had Pulaski Academy win another state championship as they won 5119.
Class 6A was Saturday last Saturday in El Dorado.
They knocked off Greenwood to win 27 to 17 in that 6A State championship and then the Class 7A game, which was was last Saturday night, not a 68 game.
Here's Merritt looking to throw has a man that's Walker and it's over shot.
It goes out of bounds and so that'll bring up second down, but in the seven day game Bryant, they won their fourth straight state championship as they beat faded Fayetteville in a shootout 42 to 38.
I mean the best weekend, their best game of the two weekends.
Yeah, honestly, that was a classic.
And then this weekend and the three a game Harding Academy.
They won 47 to 25 over Prescott before a game last night.
Robinson knocked off Shiloh Christian, 4214.
And then here, in the nightcap of this weekend right now, McCrory is on their way to a 2A state championship.
Here's a pass that goes into the hands of Hammonds, and so that'll be a pickup of about 9 yards on the play out to the 34 yard line an eventful couple weeks, that's for sure.
You know, three state champions are going to be moving up.
Academy Shiloh Christian.
Robinson's even moving up shallow as the runner up, of course.
Here's a run by merit.
It gets the first down and more.
He's off to the races over across the 50 yard line out past the 40 and he was taken down into McCrory territory back at the 36 yard line.
We'll find out Tuesday what the new conferences new alignment looks like.
Most teams or five is going to have a really new look to it as park views dropping down from 682582 finalists from 4A.
As I mentioned, Robinson and Shiloh moving up.
Have it certainly have a new feel to it.
Here's a run by merits.
Get to the edge out past the 30 and he's taken down to 29 yard line.
We have the alignment every two years, you know, so it's not new that that's happening, but just the number of teams is going to be shuffling around because of the new private school rule.
Based on your competition level, you could be intensely moving up or moving down.
It's going to happen with Shiloh, Christian Harding Academy, Pulaski Academy.
They're all moving up a classification, so that's actually going to force Jonesboro into the state's largest classification for the first time in quite awhile.
Little Rock Catholics moving down to six a.
By the way, you know the AAA Board of Directors are meeting on Tuesday, and so that we may know Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.
You know who's going where for classifications.
For this upcoming year, and you know, there's a lot of people anticipating that that news on where everybody is going and what it's gonna look like this time next year.
And they have to finalize that so quickly because teams are going to start making their nonconference schedule if they haven't already.
For those leagues that may have more that this is the first year that you don't have to, or you could potentially have more than eight, it's not a mandatory 8 teams for conference, and so that's going to affect the number of teams that you've scheduled for your non conference.
I think the six is going to be the wildest classification.
There's going to be 19 teams in Class 68, so one of league's going to have 10 teams, which means you don't get one non conference game now.
So if you're just randomly pick a team out of the hat so if you're Pulaski Academy and you're playing a ten team League, they're only giving one non conference and you gotta jump.
Right in the league play.
So it's second down in three.
Train Merritt in the shotgun.
He brings sledge in motion.
From left to right.
Merritt looking to throw right side and it's knocked out of Bounds, Grant third down.
A nice job, get over there and coverage for McCrory, Carson, Campbell and play defense as well as quarterback.
That ball hung up a little too long for Merritt.
I love the defense to react, get over and.
Deflect that one away so we're down to 50 seconds to play in this one.
Coach Ken and your head on a swivel with ice bucket time only.
Can you imagine how cold that bucket is right about now they've got it buckets at the 40 I saw a school closer Scola last night.
He got the ice bucket in.
I know that it's not.
He probably doesn't feel the rush is probably, you know, you probably don't feel until you get to locker room.
Here's merit going deep as a man.
It's in and out of the hands.
Of his wide receiver Taylor Poole and had had a few steps on the defender there, but that ball, underthrown and pool had to try to come back for it and.
Defender running right in front of him, not a blocked.
His you at the football this for a fraction of a second.
He could not reel it in.
Now it's 4th down and three.
Under 10 seconds on the play clock and coach Cannon just got it.
Merritt, under pressure, throws it up and it's intercepted down at the 11 yard line at time coming up with the interception is Colby Baskins, the senior who's able to seal this thing away with 36 seconds left.
And as you said, Coach Ken and got the ice bath over on that far side and the mcrorie Jaguars are on.
To win the 2021 state championship, he's feeling a little cold but warm him up is watching his team take one meal down here and take home their second state championship in the last six years?
You know?
The folks at Arkansas PBS the piece on Campbell and Ken and you know their relationship and really did a good job of highlighting how this entire group has been together.
You know, since they were.
Young kids and.
They are seniors now and it really culminates to a state championship and kind of goes back to when groups stay together and practice together and work together.
What it all comes down to and it doesn't always happen, but it's pretty neat when it does.
That really isn't a dominating performance from Macquarie as they easily win at 34 to 7 and haven't got a shout out to all those guys or whether battling the elements.
Yeah yeah those those, cameramen, camerawomen and everybody in the truck boy they've done a great job one.
Hello yeah I tell you what that guy right there that's on the top of the roof.
He's been cold that he has been a war.
He may get the MVP for Arkansas PBS there.
Yeah exactly 'cause it has been a cold cold time up there on top of the roof and down there in the end zones wanna thank everybody that has helped put these state champions Onshape championships on the last couple weekends and we are out of time where McCrory they are.
Your 2021 state champions as they win at 34 seven.
Over 4 dice.
Let's go ahead and take a break when we come back we will.
Oh well.
Before we do that, Kyle Sutherland is down on the field with coach Ken and take it away.
Kyle coach.
These guys have been together since the sandbox days and this is the second one in school history and your alma mater.
Just talk about your feelings right now.
Also doing it with your son.
Oh, without a doubt you know I'm so happy for these kids.
I've watched them since they were in 4th grade play peewee football together.
And you know what a blessing the Lord blessed us.
We had to get to do this and get to do it.
My kid is just sex or special.
Alright coach thanks congratulations.
Thank you, thank you Kyle.
As McCrory they win it by a score of 34 to 7 / 4 dice will take a break when we come back.
We'll talk about the MVP, give me some final stats, and recap the entire two weekends as you're watching the Centennial Bank State championships in Arkansas.

There are your 2021 two a state champions as the McCrory Jaguars.
They were able to pull off the state championship win for the first time since 2015.
And boy, what a what a dominating performance for McCrory today.
Bobby yeah to beat that team, the defending state champion and talking about Fordyce.
And you know that once so many close games it almost seemed like maybe they're a team of destiny but they just ran into a buzz saw today as McCrory made.
Play after play when it mattered most and that's why they're about to take home the hardware they came for.
That one or two way state championship.
Hey I love.
I love small town football man because everybody in the community is here.
They're supportive.
And if they couldn't make it, they were watching right here in Arkansas.
PBS and it's just gotten tax throughout the ball game from both people in both these towns that they live, eat and breathe high school football in these towns.
And it's good to see McCrory over there celebrating with all their fans.
Nobody's left the stadium, that's for sure.
You know that every business in McCrory has got, you know, their their windows painted orange and black, saying take state.
And, you know, I grew up in a small town.
You know, I know how important that football is for those little communities and.
You know no no.
Acknowledgement should be taken away from Fordyce as they had a great season but tonight McCrory was clearly the better team and that's why they're taking home a 27 point victory in the title game.
Final stats in the ball game, as when you look at both these teams it was in the passing department.
Fordyce led the way with 99 passing yards 272 for McCrory, but the rushing boy 206 total yards of rushing for McCrory they had a grand total of 278 yards of total offense.
Fordyce had 200.
32 turnovers though big killer for four dices.
They had four turnovers in the game and that doesn't include the negative 5 yard punt that should set up a short field.
Read Ken and named the Most Valuable Player here in the title game.
He had 84 of those 206 rushing yards with three touchdowns and he's a big reason why those guys in orange and black are taken home.
A title now read Kenan was a big factor as well as I want to keep mentioning Latrell Neil because he had a he may have not got the touchdown.
But he had a lot of big yardage for this team, and so he was all around team win tonight where there was more McCrory if they had five plaques, I wouldn't get into the offensive line they way they played up front.
The Outman probably 50 to 60 pounds at every position.
The offensive line for the Jaguars established the point of impact.
They moved the line of scrimmage time and time again tonight, and they're the reason that they ran for 206 yards and pave the way for an easy victory.
Well, it's been a great two weekends of football here at War Memorial Stadium.
We started with eight man football strong, got a state championship.
And that we had the five eight game, the six eight game is 7 a.
You had Pulaski Academy, El Dorado and Bryant all winning state championships.
And then this weekend you had the three eight gaming.
Which Harding Academy 1 Robinson they beat Shiloh Christian last night and then of course McCrory gets a 28 state championship.
Overall Bobby two weekends of football and your thoughts on the two weekends.
There wasn't a lot of surprises, I mean the the teams that we expected to win coming into the matchups won those games with the exception of maybe the six eight game.
Eldorado came out and had a great game plan and took down.
Greenwood, but what a classic was Brian Fable, the largest classification?
The two best teams in seven of the conference champions from their respective leagues, and we got to shoot out in that one.
And it started with the eight man game you mentioned it and it is set to press the table for two really good weekends and ground seven state champions and well, essentially was a 10 days.
It's a it's a pretty good time to be a football fan in Arkansas.
Well, we'll be doing this again in March when we have the basketball championships down in Hot Springs so we love it.
