Welcome to War Memorial Stadium.
It's the final Saturday of high school football and we have a great one to get us started.
The three A state championship game between Harding Academy and Prescott Harding Academy.
Looking for a three feet and of course Prescott.
Looking for their first state state championship in five years.
Hello everybody.
I'm Westmore Bobby Swofford joining us in the booth today, and Bobby these two teams are familiar with each other.
They've played before semi final games in the past.
This is going to be a fun game because.
Prescott's been kind of the team to beat all season.
A lot of people thought they were the best team in the state, but Harding Academy you look at their past record and two straight state championships.
You know they're a good team.
Everybody expects Harding Academy to be at this point.
Playing for a state championship late in the year, but Prescott in that same conversation.
You mentioned that they've won a state title recently.
They've been in this game a handful of times in the last decade, so there's going to be no all factor of playing inside War Memorial state, and they're not going to be, you know, blinded by the moment they're going to be ready to come out and play and compete for a championship.
Take a look at a couple of key players of the game.
And for Harding Academy, we're going to start off with their running back Andrew Miller and this guy put on a show last week.
He rushed for 190 yards in the semifinal game.
He had touchdown runs of 70 and 91 yards.
Oh yeah, and he caught two passes for 83 yards and a touchdown in the semifinal victory.
It's not bad when he can put up over 2000 yards of total offense, 35 touchdowns and you mentioned it.
They're going to use him in every aspect of their offense.
Whether it's running the football.
You know getting it to him out of the backfield and you think of Boonville as a team that runs the football just down your throat.
But last week was Harding Academy that beat a very very good Boonville team in the semifinals and number eight was a big reason why Heap and I on number 18 for Prescott Double that number and keep an eye on #16 that is their quarterback.
Karsten pool.
Yeah he can do it almost 70% completion percentage 2600 yards with most importantly 30 touchdowns compared to just 10 interceptions.
Doesn't run the football whole lot but his arm is going to be.
Doubly important is because Prescott's biggest weapon in the backfield not going to play today and for more on that, let's head down to the sideline.
Kyle has more on the Prescott Star that is missing from this game.
Yeah guys, Jalen Hopson, he I like two weeks ago he broke his leg against Bismarck in the second round of the playoffs.
Coach Poole said that it was very unlikely that he was going to go.
He will not go today.
He is in his jersey and sweats.
It's going to be Eric Grigsby getting the start along with Treveon, Dickens and Brandon Bradley and White coach Paul calls a 3 headed monster.
Thank you Kyle Kyle Sutherland joining us all day from the sideline.
I I got here.
That's the first thing I want to do is see if he was in uniform because Coach said there was a 99% chance that he would not play and I was like, well, you're saying there's a chance.
There's maybe a chance and chance is all you really need to get Jalen Hopson on the field.
'cause you're talking about the numbers, he has almost 1900 yards rushing, 30 touchdowns and he missed the last three games.
I mean, so that's those are the type of production that you would.
That's why Prescott here.
That's why they're a dynamic offense and it's a big big blow for the Curly wolf today.
Hate that we won't get to see him play today when we come back.
We'll see how these teams got to the state championship game.

Just minutes away from the start of the three A state championship game between Prescott and Harding Academy, the two teams, the captains of the two teams are headed out to the middle of the field and will have the coin toss just in a few minutes.
Now Prescott comes into the game 14 and oh, it's pretty solid.
Bobby can't get much better than that, and they've done the last couple weeks without their star player.
But last week to get it.
A big victory over Maggie, who has a team that's been in the top two or three all season long.
You you mentioned how Prescott was the favorite Maggie in some quarters of thought.
They were the best team, but that's that's a big big road win.
And that's why the Curley wolves have a chance.
And that's why they think they've got a chance against Harding Academy.
The two time defending state champ.
You know, Maggie knocked off Prescott last season ended their season, so Prescott got a little revenge with a one point victory.
And that's that's what's been impressive to me.
Two one point victories in the last two weeks without their star running back, they found a way.
To win, and that's why you can't count out Prescott even though they don't have their best player now for Harding Academy there 12 and two this season, coach by Neil Evans.
A couple of losses, one out of state but one in state now is to a larger classification school.
But we're not used to Harding Academy losing two games in state and coach Evan said that actually helped his team as we take a look at the bracket you're talking about the Valley View game.
They scheduled the game on a Wednesday they played at Valley View on a Friday, the 5A team, but that this gives your team.
A little adversity is.
Take a look at the path for Harding Academy there on the right side.
This weren't really tested a 50 point win in the first round, 28 point win, another mercy rule over Centerpoint.
Then last week is the one that really impressed me West.
You're talking about you go on the road to a Boonville.
You play a Boonville team.
Excuse me at home and you almost mercy room at the half.
I mean you're talking 5627 final and it wasn't quite that close, but that's that's a big time effort from the Wildcats.
Look at that look at who they've beaten.
Westfork mercy rule rising by 28 Centerpoint.
By 28 and last week again another big victory for Harding Academy.
So they've been rolling through the playoffs.
Whereas Prescott, you know, they they were tested and and.
And maybe that comes into into play today, because Harding Academy really hasn't had to play a four quarter game, but Prescott with the narrow victory over McGee and another narrow victory earlier in the season.
So Prescott is battle tested.
Let's put it that way.
'cause there's no doubt about it.
I mean, these two teams aren't going to be.
And I mentioned in that first, but they're not going to be in all of the moments.
They've played some big time competition.
Those two nonconference games for Harding Academy gets you ready for a contest like this and you look at Prescott.
Though they roll over Newport a couple times this season, they handle hope 4913 in non conference and you know what they did in the conference season.
You're talking at 48 points per game only given up 14.
That's an average of 34 points per game.
They had been tested much this year.
That second round matchup against Bismarck showed the Curly will say we're going to play a good four quarters to win in the playoffs and I think that will come up.
You just got a good lock it to Caitlin Zachary, the kick returner for Prescott Prescott.
We'll get the ball first.
Harding Academy is getting ready to to kick off, kicking off or Harding Academy is Kyler Fairy and this kid has a leg.
You were watching him boom, some field goals and in the warmups he hit one from 61 going this direction.
As you can see that one's gonna sail into almost hit the bleachers.
The wind is howling in that direction, was at north to South here or Memorial Stadium.
Yes.
And so.
He's in range.
If Harding crosses midfield, he's going to be in range.
So 61 he was kicking from what the he was at the midfield.
He was.
He was actually lined up at his own 49.
Rebooted that one through the uprights that one sales through the end zone.
So Prescott will take over first in 10 from their own 20 yard line.
Prescott quarterback Karsten Pool.
We featured him but he has a couple of different running backs and he's used to it by now.
Let's see some different formations throughout the game.
For Prescott, he's going to bring the receiver next to him in motion.
Looks like Zachary next to him.
Fake cittas Acari quick pass out.
Right away, Harding Academy swarms Grigsby Grigsby lose his yard on the play.
You loses yards.
I should say it looks like he lost six.
Lawson Brooks the strong safety for Harding Academy recognized the quick wide receiver screen and he was all over that in immediately Prescott's behind the chains are gonna give him only a 2 yard loss, so they they drove him backwards so he caught the ball around the 18.
That's where they'll market second in 12 for Prescott.
Pool.
It's a snap quick pass out.
Funds Harris is tide in not a lot there for Harris, but will pick up the lost yardage in about 3 more.
So giving 5 on the game.
Ryan Mcgaughey there to knock him out of bounds.
It's clear on those first two pass attempts West at Prescott's gonna try to spread out the Harding Academy defense and make them make plays in space.
One on one tackles and at least through the first two attempts, Harding has been up to the task first, third down for Prescott.
Garden 7 to go.
Pulling shotgun, he's got two receivers to his right, three to his left.
Paul escapes the pocket.
He's looking deep.
He's got a receiver there.
It's underthrown.
The wind came into play, and Harding Academy almost picked it off.
You mentioned that there West.
I mean you just saw how that football he had his receiver, three or four steps behind the defense.
But the wind is completely held that pass up allowed the Harding defender to run underneath it and Prescott did everything they could to prevent an interception.
But it's going to be fun time for the curly rules I thought see contact P nudo had the ball there looked like he was going to pick it off, but good job from the Prescott receiver to fight for it and pull it down so there will be a punt.
Probably would have been a good part mate.
Had to look.
This they may get better field position by dropping that ball actually went.
The wind is certainly against Prescott right now and you're going to see it.
That right there about halfway through and it's going to be about the same field position after the good role here.
They got a good roll, good bounce there.
The wind is certainly going to be a factor for teams going right to left on your TV screen.
Prescott Downs the ball at the 28 yard line.
That's where Harding Academy will take over after the three and out Harding Academy course led by quarterback Cade Smith.
Razorback fans, you'll see, Kaden a baseball uniform and a couple of years.
He's already committed to Dave Van Horn, Andrew Miller, the player we told you about, gotta keep an eye on Andrew Miller.
He'll run it, he'll catch it out of the backfield.
It's got some good wide receivers, Jackson, Fox, Land and Co. Quiet Simmons, Kyler Hoover, first attempt and changed the formation.
That one on one at the top of the screen.
But quarterback is going to keep it.
No, it's actually Miller with the direct snap Miller gets outside.
Later Miller fighting for yardage didn't look like there was a whole lot there Bobby, but Miller got it up to pass the 36 yard line.
It's a pretty good indication of why he's got almost 1600 yards rushing.
He looks like he's hemmed up in the backfield outside leverage there for Prescott, but just a little hesitation move a stiff arm and able to pick up 8 yards.
Second in two.
Smith calls Miller back.
Is this going to keep it picks his way?
Close to the 40 to be driven out of bounds by Mary and Dickens.
Going to mark him short of the 40 I thought maybe he got to the 40.
It doesn't matter.
That's a first down.
Locate Smith got 101 rushing attempts coming into today.
460 yards are averaging.
You know right about four and a half yards of care just just enough there to move the chains and they run the football enough with the quarterback to keep you honest and you can't keep all of your eyes on number 8.
Harding Academy has it at the 39.
Miller goes in motion.
They're going to.
Has it back to the runabout?
He's just.
Dragged down by the neck.
Jackson Fox pen.
A little bit of a reverse there.
That's kind of a misdirection.
Everybody thinking, you know Miller right?
And he handed back to the left, it's great job.
Well Mary and Dickon's to stay at home for Prescott, and wrangle them around the neck and keeps that Toano gain good.
Call their misdirection there, but he's kind of excited on defense.
Are focused on Miller and you try to fool everybody and run to the backside.
Smith all alone.
Also, what that does West is it?
You know it's not much of a pass, but it is a forward pass.
Maybe ease your quarterback into the game, especially on a windy day.
Get that first completion out of the way.
Quick pass out to his receiver.
Fox has at Fox, is quickly dropped at the 42 yard line.
That's a Dickens again.
There are two Dickens playing, so I need to tell you that's Mary and Dickon's.
It's a great job.
Is new brakes on the football.
As soon as he catches it makes contact and you can tell press it's going to move #5 all around the field and he's on the corner just manned up at the bottom of your screen so they're going to try to find.
Put him on maybe what they think it's going to be Harding's best player on a given play or given formation.
Mentioned 2 Dickens their brothers in Marion and Trayveon five and seven Smith to pass.
He's under pressure escapes, gets up field he's across midfield with room.
I want to the 30 to the 20 Kenny get in.
No, he's not down inside the 10.
That's gotta be this heartbreaking and frustrating for president.
You think you've got to defend to stand you?
You have great coverage in the secondary but just a lane right up the middle and Smith able to take advantage.
You mentioned his athleticism.
I dynamic baseball player just goes right up the guts and its first and goal for the Wildcats, Harding Academy is going to take a they call a timeout.
What they do there?
What did he say?
I wasn't left sideline warning OK.
Sideline warning.
Big Run once he got through that first line, there was just nothing there in the middle.
It opened up for him and it wasn't until Zachary the safety could tackling at the seven yard line Miller pounding his way, fighting his way.
He's inside the five.
They'll give him the four gain of three on 1st down for Andrew Miller.
Can't really compare the game, 'cause obviously it's a different team, but last year against McGee here in the finals, Harding Academy did a lot of that quarterback draw the quarterback scramble right up the middle.
Different player, different.
Obviously a different scheme.
Different opponent.
Obviously brings back flashbacks, at least to me of what Harding was able to do in the finals a year ago.
But Dorian Thompson makes the tackle there in linebacker.
Smith and Shotgun Miller, right behind him.
Check with the sideline.
First drive for Harding Academy.
No score in the first quarter.
Smith, gotta keep it Smith.
Nothing there.
Great job to bring pressure from the outside.
That time is Treveon Dickens who makes the play.
They brought him on a blitz from the outside.
He has contained, makes the quarterback for set up and then drops him right at the line of scrimmage.
Third and three.
It is third and goal that cannot get a first down.
Smith and shotgun here comes Miller.
Smith looking to throw.
He's under pressure and he's brought down.
Prescott's defense buckling up inside the 10 big play by the Curley Wolves.
Gotta great play by Caleb Harris.
The big tight end defensive combo.
The senior and drops the quarterback for a loss, and he just.
He just wins at the point of attack.
Weston Force is going to force Harding Academy to try to settle for three.
Smith was looking to throw and just didn't have time really for any of the routes to develop so quickly he goes down and Harding Academy will have to settle.
Filgoal collar fairy with it high snap they get it down, kick is away and it is good.
So Harding Academy gets on the board.
Good credit to the holder there to get up.
Get that high snap put it down and fairy makes it three to nothing.

You could also set program reminders.
Kick is away and kick it through the end zone.
Barry, with that big time leg, he's ranked in the top ten in the national kicking rankings.
He's probably gonna be kicking on Saturdays before too long, and that's going to be, and that's an obvious weapon height in high school lesson.
You've seen it, you know.
Just the kicking game is so important, though Prescott's defense makes a nice goal line stand to limit them to three points.
But it's still three points input starting up front.
Yeah, it's a win for Prescott's defense.
You know, after the big play.
And how about you?
Go back to the tackle that Zachary made to prevent the touchdown?
That's a four point play, and so now I gotta think that the Prescott defense feels good.
Settle down, hold him to three.
Let's go out and get some points.
That's what Prescott's looking to do.
First.
Play under pressure quarterbacks.
Pool gets out of some pressure and he scrambles up the middle.
Picks up four on the play, and we talked about how effective the Harding quarterback scramble game was.
That time, Carson pool able to do the same thing.
You know he's not going to run at a ton.
Just 44 rushing in tips coming into this one, they look to tuck it up and get in front of the chains.
Butterfield finishes him off.
They're going to run the ball on second down, they'll pick up about four more yards, so that'll bring up third and short.
Chisel on the tackle for Harding Academy.
It's a good look at Eric Grigsby.
He's kind of taken over that starting role for hops and in his absence 388 yards, eight touchdowns.
This year Rigsby again couple blockers there, but what a play from the Harding Academy defender, he slipped the two blockers and dives in for the tackle.
Eli Wallace.
Union first, Al right, was just enough.
Man.
I saw those two pulling blockers.
I thought this play my tat may develop into something, but Eli Wallace just snuck through those two guys, made the tackle.
Prescott gets the first down, the ball is marked at the 30 so new set of downs for pool.
Wildcat looks like but Zachary, with it coming left, Zachary gets two before he stone out of bounds.
Aaron Chisholm again on the tackle pushes him out of bounds.
Secondly, not in service.
I think the big key for Prescott.
They're just going to try to lean on you that maybe they don't have that big play that explosive playability from Hobson and as long as they stay in the front of the chains pick up productive yards on 1st and second down.
I think they're OK with, you know these long time consuming drives will look at the scramble, he's in trouble and he's brought down just nowhere to go.
But I'm in Sam Butterfield gets this, gets the sack and nowhere to go nice push up front from the interior of the defensive line for Harding Academy prevents.
Pull from from stepping up in the pocket and as you see 24 there Brooks or excuse me Butterfield able to to make the play from behind defensive lines, creating pressure for both teams.
They've been winning the line of scrimmage, which offensive line settles down first.
Pull back to throw again under pressure.
He gets rid of it at the last second he that was just a heads up play.
I thought he was going to be sacked.
I was already looking to give Butterfield another sack but he gets rid of it.
Heads up play from pool.
Avoids the sack and and receiver right there in the vicinity.
So good place 4th and 10.
He's just able to overpower that left tackle, but great job by pool to recognize he's got an eligible receiver out in the area and it's kind of tries to flip it that way and.
And saves himself in yardage.
Jackson Fox back to return the punt if he'll get a chance this time it's gonna be short.
Wind gets that .2 but they get another great bounce.
It bounces around the 43 yard line.
It's going to roll all the way to the 27th so a 16 yard bounce.
I'd be almost if I'm Harding Academy with that wind going cinefox up a little closer at least.
Just catch the ball fair, catch it and save that role.
That's twice now we've seen Prescott get a very favorable roll.
Just kind of making you know, an estimated here if you're averaging.
40 yards a kick in the air today, you're probably going to get about 25 or 30 on it.
That's how that's how much the winds blowing once you get it above, you know about 15 feet here or memorial.
Harding Academy's offense back on the field for a second time.
Harding Cami's defense doing a good job.
They've given up one first down and that's it.
Miller, with it.
Miller crossed the 35.
Miller picks up a first down.
Yard, Dixon on the tackle.
Nice job on the left side of that offensive line for Harding Academy.
They they win at the point of attack.
Give Miller a a hole to slip through 71 pulling around Jacob Lowell and freshman upfront making a nice seal block and gets his running back to space to pick up the first down.
Smith and Shotgun Miller next to him give it to Miller again.
Miller crossed the 40 right at the 40.
They'll mark him at the 40, so a gain of three before Thompson knocks him down.
There's a lot of young players on both sides upfront.
Jamarion Burton up there to make to help make the play.
The defensive line is sophomore 71 for Prescott Harding Academy.
Starting two freshmen on their offensive line, Smith rolls right, looking deep as a receiver, but he's just going to tuck it and pick up a yard down to 39.
The sophomore knocks him out of bounds.
That time Fox just took off running down the field.
He was deep behind his man by about 5 yards, and I thought maybe Smith was going to let it fly.
It is about those money downs Weston, who could make the big play on 3rd down.
Hardy's defense is being able to do it so far will see if Prescott's defense and stiffen here.
Three to nothing.
First quarter.
Each team has had the ball twice.
Smith's going to throw on 3rd down under pressure, but he puts it on the money to Coquelin and Coke makes the catch.
He's got the first down all the way into the Prescott 40 yard line.
It's a great route.
Thereby cokie.
He runs to the sticks and turns around like it's going to be a curl route.
But then he kind of shuffles back into the middle of the field and buys a little hole and that defense and quarterback hits him right in stride.
And a big game.
Now they're on the Prescott side of the 50.
It was nice, whole good throw by the quarterback.
Don't give it to the receiver coming in motion and Hoover is brought down for a loss of two.
It's a great play in space by Luke Cole of the senior number 54 in maroon.
There nice one on one open field tackle drops Harding for a loss of two.
So once again, Prescott gives up a big play and then their defense stiffens.
Smith with four receivers to his left.
C. Miller, right there in the slot, and there's no deep safety.
Keep an eye on Miller here, Smith.
He's got a receiver open and just overthrows Fox by a hair.
They were trying to hit the big play over the top and their defender fell down.
Just overshoots his target and maybe the the wind might have come into play a little bit there and force that ball to sail.
Wind and the excitement of a wide open receiver in the state championship game early on.
Maybe yeah, get you get a little extra mustard on it.
Third and 12.
What Harding Academy draws up here?
That's the damage has been on the ground for Harding.
So now in obvious passing situation, to see what they can do, Smith, as a receiver, he throws it out of bounds, gonna bring up 4th and 12.
That's a great job by the Prescott second there they kind of force the receiver to the sideline.
As a receiver, you need to leave a little space between you and the boundary for your quarterback to drop it in.
But that time the Prescott defense kind of forced him to the sideline.
Harding receiver didn't put up a whole lot of resistance, and now we're about to see a real long.
Field goal attempt by ferry.
As this is going to be 59 yards, Kyle Ferry on to attempt a 59 yard field goal with a big wind behind him.
Receiver comes in motion.
Here's the kicker.
I think it's going to be a little short.
Just barely sure, maybe about four yards short at under its he got under it just a little too much.
He's got plenty of leg.
He hit one from 61 in pregame.
It's a completely different when the snap is a little high and you got a little bit of a rush.
May need to go into the state championship record books and find the longest field goal made in a state championship game 'cause he may get an opportunity in the second half and there are only three minutes 11 seconds left in this quarter, so I don't know if he'll get another opportunity this quarter.
But hey, second half they've already shown they're not.
They're not scared to let him try along with the celebrate game day under the arch is access to tons of benefits through rewards programs available today on the McDonald's app.
We're loving it.
Pull with it, they'll start at their own 20.
Not the NFL rule where the team takes over at the spot of the kick.
Pick up a yard for Grigsby before Levi Mercer makes a tackle.
Got a chance to shatter talking?
Go back to Kyle Ferry.
Got a chance to shatter his career record?
Kyle Sutherland tweets it up to us, or text it up to us his career long coming in today.
Just 48 yards.
So he's got a chance to rewrite his own record book.
Three to nothing.
Harding Academy were in the first quarter of this 38 state championship game pool.
Third possession for.
Prescott under trouble under pressure, he's brought down that Harding Academy defense gets it done once again.
This time it's Levi Mercer.
That's back to back plays for Levi Mercer.
He's just there on the right side of your screen.
He wins.
It wins the tackle.
Kind of a just a power rush past the right tackle of Prescott and he's able to drop pool for a big loss.
And this is where Prescott cannot be.
And that's third and a mile and give credit to Peyton Cole.
Also, the linebacker came in.
They kind of met at the quarterback and just nowhere really for pool to go in.
That pocket broke down too quickly, didn't allow his receivers time to get open and he went down 3rd and 17.
I made spoken too quickly.
Harding may get the ball back in this first quarter under pressure again, it's a screenplay.
We got a good yard so I go pick up the first down but they did a good job and developed into a little something for Prescott that shows you how, how much they think of their tight end Caleb Paris.
But also how athletic is how many times you gonna see a tight end on a tunnel screen.
You know, coming back across the middle, he's real athletic he's got I believe he's got a power five offer.
Good looking athlete now but he didn't get enough.
Now he's going to be forced to drop back and punt.
Thought Harding Academy might take a time out here and try to save these 20 seconds and have some more time.
Play with the wind.
That's going to be really interesting in the second half to you know what are they?
Obviously you're going to take the football, but teams are likely going to be playing to keep the winds in the fourth quarter.
Let's see what this flag is.
If it's going to be a roughing the punter or just running into the punter, but they definitely hit the punter and the flag was dropped.
Ball was marked down at the 45 of Harding Academy.
It's 4th and six, so it's a 5 yard penalty.
We'll see what price it's going to do.
Running into the kicker defense.
5 yards from the previous spot, rekick.
So now you roll the dice.
If your press get final 63 seconds of this first quarter down just three, nothing going into the winds.
You trust your offensive line enough to pick up a yard against.
Harding.
Defense has given up only 17 yards here in this first quarter market off its fourth, and one ball will be marked at the 29 yard line.
Now they marked it wrong.
They got the remark that there they go, the fans.
You can hear the Prescott fans getting after him, but they go market the 29 they have to get it to the 30 so a full yard and Prescott's going for it.
And it appears they're going for it.
They're gonna get it.
There was a nice hole there between the center and the left guard and running back saw it hit it and got across what a gutsy call there early in this game.
Yeah, I like the confidence there, but the big block, his number 77.
The left guard you mentioned it West Tyson, Koger, the senior Lima he wins at the point of attack moves the line of scrimmage and just enough space for his running back to to squeeze her to get the first down.
I love that going forward rolling the dice.
Kraska picks up four on first down, good run there by Grigsby spinning down across the 35 and just the confidence from coach Glass to the of your team.
Your offensive line to pick up a first down 'cause you've got the football up.
You know that's your own 30 yard line.
You're guaranteed to give up points at least a field goal.
When you're facing a team with the kicker like Fairy.
They do not have to snap it.
They got up there quickly enough though.
Hey, they're rolling, they're rolling.
I thought they were just gonna let the clock run out and this quickly as they jumped up the line of scrimmage.
Maybe think they're going to keep going but they're not there.
That's going to be the last play of the first quarter three to nothing.
Harding Academy leads it over Prescott, but you had that feel Prescott's got a little something going here?
Stick around second quarter action.
Coming up.

The Caddy for me you see a bear going.
The Wildcat for Prescott on second.
If I got a first down and much much more there goes Zachary at the 25 cuts across the field.
He's got a blocker, he is gone.
Zachary on the board for the Curley Wolves.
But a great.
Hurt by Zachary Harding Academy defensive back had the angle so he cuts back into the grain, uses his athleticism and a big play.
The first time they've got the wins and they put it in the end zone.
Zachary came into the game with almost 500 yards rushing in six touchdowns, 457 to be exact.
Well, you can put him over 500 for the season now.
He had made his mark catching the ball 42 catches, 881 yards receiving, but he just scored his 16th touchdown of the season.
Brasket will try the extra point.
They're going to stop play for a second.
See what the officials doing here.
It's like we might have a review.
Maybe he stepped out of bounds.
Then at least look at it.
So he was going up the far sideline before he made the cut back across the field.
I think the biggest question is we have a good angle at that far sideline to see if he clearly stepped out of bounce.
No, that got me a curious here.
Let's look at the replay.
No, no, no.
Maybe go backwards one step there.
Alright, let's look at it again.
Everybody at home gets to be an official replay review official right here.
No.
I think it's this one right here.
It is hilltop the heel touch and from that angle West.
I don't think there is video evidence that prove that he did step out of bounds is it's very very close.
The AAA's been clear with this.
It's gotta be an obvious mistake.
It's got to be something that without a without a doubt, without a shadow of a doubt, did he step out of bounds?
Are you sure right there he stepped out of bounds?
I'm not.
I'm not sure.
I don't think that the evidence is there.
This is going to be a quick review.
The ruling on the field stands touchdown, urban, just key there West it stands not confirmed so the Prescott Curly Wolf faithful.
They like the call they've got themselves lead.
Unless there was a different angle that was right down the sideline there.
There's just nothing that you could do to overturn that.
From that angle we saw right there.
Heck, he may have gotten it right too.
You know, there's the side judges right there.
He's got a good look at it.
So the extra point now from Carlos.
So curious.
Kick is slow on driving to hit the crossbar.
It's no good.
63 Prescott.
The big answer though.
You know Prescott scan took Harding Academy's first initial punch.
They give up the big 52 yard quarterback scramble, but they make the play in the Reds on them to limit Harding Academy to just a field goal.
And that's why it's important because one play with this Prescott explosive offense can can regain the lead.
And they do just that.
But special teams are always ever so important.
We'll have to wait and see if that missed P80 gonna come back and haunt the Curley wolves.
Well, let's go back to that 4th down play.
So Prescott spawning.
They ran into the punter.
It's 4th and 6th.
They move it forward 4th and one on on what they were about their own 3rd, 29th because they had to get to 30 and they go for it roll the dice.
I love the call reminding me of a a game back here at War Memorial Stadium years ago when Bobby Petrino said, well, we didn't come here to paint right?
Well you know what?
Prescott didn't come here to pay neither and they rolled the dice on 4th down.
Get the first down we switch ends at the end of the quarter and then bam, a big play and they're on the board.
It's just those little plays like the offsides on.
Or excuse me the running into the kicker, you know you don't think of that being a big play at the moment, but all of a sudden that turns into a touchdown and those plays can certainly swing momentum line drive kick by Zacharias.
And Harding Academy is going to get chance to return this.
There crossed the 30 nice tackle from Prescott Prescott.
Grabs him by the legs and pulls down Kyle Hoover Glass with the special teams play.
That's what you got to be able to do, and it's one thing to run down the field full speed, but they'll be able to break down and make a play, and that's what number 11 in Maroon does right there?
Tackled by Jerry Glass prevents a big play there if he gets this sideline.
May have some room to run.
So Kate Smith and Company will take over at their own 30.
Let me see how Harding handles the winds.
See how they handle being behind.
True, I haven't done that.
They probably haven't been behind and since non conference schedule.
We'll toss it out to.
Andrew Miller makes the cut.
He gets to about the 30 yard line.
No gain.
Actually, they're gonna say he lost a yard.
Their first look at Jason Patrick number one for Prescott 193 tackles this year for the Prescott defense.
He's obviously the leader.
70 solo stops.
24 for a loss.
Number one is that playmaker on the defensive side?
Our buddy Mark Buffalo covers this Harding Academy team on a regular basis.
He may know the last time.
Karting Academy trail.
Smith gets out of the pocket.
We got a flag down and we also have smithdown.
He's brought down for maybe a yard game there goes say he got to the 29th so no gain on the play before Dickens.
That's treveon Dickens.
One of the brothers makes the tackle Bayless price out there as well.
Holding offense 10 yards in response to file, replace second down.
There's an offense as explosive as Harding academies is.
And since it's from the spot of the foul, this is going to put them way behind the chains.
So instead of taking the third and 10 and the result of the play, this is going to put Harding Academy deep in their own territory, and they're gonna have to pick up 20 five 2627 yards.
Second, and yeah, you're right.
A long way to go.
Think I get the ball to the 40 yard line.
They're on their own, what 13?
So 27 to go.
Smith looking back at the sideline.
Empty backfield right now.
Get Miller come back and join him.
Handed off to Miller up the middle.
Got past the line of scrimmage in the linebackers.
Jumped on his back and brought him down at the 21 yard line.
That's Thompson and Dickens on the tackle.
When you take that penalty, Weston not only puts them way behind the chains, but it also kind of enforces Harding Academy to throw the ball deep into this winter.
The wind?
That's that's maybe when your defensive backs can make a play on an underthrown ball third and 19 once again they need to get the ball to the 40 yard line.
Smith looking to throw.
Roasters right just dumps it out to Miller.
Miller looked up had three defenders in front of him, made one miss, but he's brought down at the 30 so it's 4th and 10 Thompson on the tackle again.
Prescott just rushed three so they dropped eight.
They were going to make Harding Academy just dump it off short and try to pick it up with yards after the catch and they correct, they converge quickly and all Hardy can do is get back to the original line of scrimmage.
But ferry coming on to punt, seen boom.
Some kicks and see if he can boom a punt.
Into this wind.
Picks it up, gets it off what a heads up play.
Saved a ton of yards and gets a great bounce.
It's gonna roll.
Keep rolling all the way almost to the 32 yard line.
We saw special teams mistakes from Harding Academy earlier.
This one makes up for it.
So Prescott decides not to rush anybody in that might have come back to haunt him there, as they don't, they're not.
They're moving towards the football louse.
Ferry time to get back.
Keralites boom it away and with the roll, that's a.
That's a big flip field position very atones for his mistake for dropping the ball and letting it get past his head.
He picks it up and just calmly kicks it down the field.
And I wonder being left footed if that helped because it looked like there was a rush, are coming in and it's awkward when you're used to trying to block somebody.
Right foot kick and also he's kicking with his other foot and he gets it away.
Gets a great bounce so Prescott takes over at their own 31.
Paul gives it to the fakes.
It does Acari he keeps it and goes nowhere.
They have should handle that one off and give a special thanks to Community Bakery for providing food for our crew and their continued support of Arkansas, PBS, Cooper Welch on the tackle.
He's got 23 tackles for loss this season.
He makes the tackle just past the line of scrimmage, so it's a gain of 1.
Second and nine for Prescott.
Trying to add to their lead, they scored on their last drive thanks to big play from Zachary.
Will pass at this time.
Pool under pressure cannot escape the pressure again.
Levi Mercer just wins now one on one battle.
He's lines up at the left defensive end.
He keeps outside leverage and quarterback or rolls right to him right there, and that's an easy sack and now Prescott's way behind the chains.
Think pool saw Cooper Welch kind of break free on the inside.
And that made him run out to the outside.
And he ran right into Mercer.
Good complementary, defensive rushing.
Football, their third and 24 looks like Harding Academy is going to brush just three and drop a little taste of Prescott's own medicine.
Back to throw under pressure throws it up.
He's got a man opening connects what a throw under pressure and he finds his big tight end.
Caleb Harris.
I hate to even call him a tide in he's he's not your typical tide in he's able to.
When the round up the field of post and the wind certainly helped that throw as he gets it downfield, a big time effort there by pool he know he's gonna take a big hit, delivers the football down the field, but pool is going to have to come out because of equipment issue.
It looks like he comes over to the near sideline and just you know, they're gonna be able to keep him and he's getting to play from the sideline.
But what a big time throw on was at 3rd and long he took a lick.
It had a man in his face.
He stepped into it, delivered a strike.
And Caleb Harris is there to bring it in 44 yards on that pitch and catch.
And Harris is a good looking player.
Three big plays from these two teams.
2 for Prescott, one for Harding Academy and that's that's led to our scores and mainly to another one.
Zachary with it, gonna try to cut it back.
There's a bunch of Prescott or Harding Academy defenders there, but look at the speed he's able to outrun all of them to the sideline.
Gets into the 30.
There's a late flag to see what that flag is.
Hoover runs him out of bounds.
It's the athleticism there for Zachary that was going nowhere coming to the near side so he he stops.
His momentum reverses field and able to pick up seven or eight, but this one likely coming back as a would be the illegal block or a hold down field.
You're talking about it.
Let's get the call.
It would be a gain to the 30 gain of eight.
Holding offense 10 yards from the spot of the foul replay first down, is that what happened so far downfield?
It's only going to be about a 3 yard penalty, but it does take away the yardage and the nice athletic play there from Zachary.
Push it back to the 40.
So be first and 12.
Paul hands it off.
Griggsby with it.
Nothing.
And it's five Kennedy rush 34.
Trenton Hall.
Both there to make the play.
Second and long.
No gain on the play, so let's call it 12 second and 12 to go to press it for Harding.
We talked about the the impact players.
They've got a handful of freshmen who were making place.
Paul is going to give it to Grigsby again.
And whole lot there.
But Harding Academy defense is doing a good job of bottling up Grigsby.
Rigsby's been thrust into the role as the guy averages 7 1/2 yards of carry got eight touchdowns this year.
He got three on that carry, so it's third and 9.
Zachary.
And Harris are have been the playmakers in the go to guys on key downs here in Harrison.
Bottom of your screen, full rolls, right?
He's going to scramble back to his left.
He's got room to run.
He gets by one defender.
He's gonna be close to the first down, but he did not get there.
Peyton Cole with the open field tackle.
Great job by cold though.
I mean it looked like that could have been a big game there was this really one on one there, but 30 and white able to just get just enough of pool trips him up short of the line, the gain and now it's a another fourth down.
This time it's going to be.
4th and about maybe two long yard and a half two yards.
Cole doesn't make that tackle.
He gets the first down easily, easily.
He might have got into the red zone 4th and I'm going to call it too.
I think it's a full 2.
Right at it.
Got timeout, well we got a flag.
I thought Prescott was trying to call timeout.
Picking up the flag now, maybe you got the time.
There is no file for illegal substitution.
We have a timeout first come out Prescott first charge time out of the house.
Prescott saw something was wrong.
They wanted to get a timeout.
They got the timeout.

Who knows what Christmas is all about?
We need a Christmas tree.
A great big shiny aluminum Christmas tree.
That's what Christmas is all about.
Charlie Brown.
Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown stay tuned for the Arkansas PBS halftime show coming up, David Basil talked to Derek Walter, the assistant executive director of the Arkansas Activities Association, also want to hear about the family ties on the sideline at McCrory High School, there were chat with random array of the Boonville Bearcats.
McCrory was hoping when a state title last night and then I try to do it tomorrow 4th in two Prescott going for it.
They're going to throw it were little tunnel screen to the wide receiver.
He's hit and it's going to depend on the spot that's close.
That's how they're trying to get get the football believe that was the Harrison.
He took a big shot helmet came off and he slow to get up.
Hold his midsection.
Eli Wallace with the big hit and Harris is in pain.
That was a big hit.
It's going to be here exactly right.
The West side is going to depend on the spot and they may have to bring the chains out from the far sideline to Eagle eye.
It pan up a little bit on that shot.
See where those sticks are.
It's so close right there.
Oh, what cannot tell they're gonna have to measure that.
You can see that looks like the stick is just past that hash mark and ball looks like it's right on it.
It's going to come down to the maybe the nose of the ball since the cameras had a little bit of an angle.
Hard to tell.
You can see the Harding Academy players they're trying to eyeball it to trying to see how close it is.
Aaron Chisholm was trying to get a good look.
Let's go ahead and First things first.
I gotta take care of Caleb Harrison.
Yeah, that'd be a big blow if he can't come back, that's a good sign for him to be able to get up and walk off under his own pressure.
But you can tell he took a shot to the midsection.
He's been a playmaker already today.
Hopefully just knocked the wind out of him and a little hit to the ribs and maybe he can.
Will time walk it off?
Be back out there.
Here's the mark the spot and then stretch the chain out and they got it.
I said by the nose of the ball.
But we're gonna have to bring up the gene steratore index card.
Yeah, I was close.
As good call could good tunnel screen but there was a great play by the Harding Academy defense.
I thought they were going to pick up the first down easily and then the defender just slipped loose, came loose and bam, big tackle drove Harris backwards but he got just enough food for two on 4th down for Prescott.
The first one resulted in a touchdown.
Will see if they can capitalize on the new set of downs here.
There's some Tim from the 28 Zachary's going to take it.
He's running over the right side.
Zachary, nothing there.
They throw a flag in the pile.
It's almost insult to injury right there.
You think that's probably a hold and less they had a hand up higher face mask.
That's Trenton Hall in the tackle.
So nice job just setting the edge defensively now allows Zachary to bounce that one outside.
Holding offense 10 yards from the spot of the foul replay, first down to be the second penalty on Prescott.
Two penalties on Harding Academy, so pretty well played ball games so far.
Knock on wood.
Shouldn't say that Wes and jinx everything and it won't be as bad as what was in the six.
A game that we called Eldorado had 15 plus penalties, was 25 combined penalties in nine turnovers.
Not that I was counting.
That'll push him back at least 10, maybe even further.
First and Longo throwback.
He's got a receiver open.
Looks like that Zachary and wanna play from the defender just at the last second.
Hoover just gets a hand on it, knocks it away.
It looked like that Hoover was toasted as a receiver was a full two strides beyond him, but that pass even though it was downwind, held up just a little bit and allowed him to close the ground as they were trying to get the ball deep to Omari and Dickens.
And that was what I thought was going to be a walk in touchdown, but nice closing speed there by #25 and white to prevent the big play.
I said Zachary it was Dickens 5 not three, and he just didn't lead him.
He had enough on it, but just you shouldn't let him in the middle of the field.
He's just smashed from behind.
Never saw it coming.
That was Sam Swindell.
The defensive ends are are winning at the line of scrimmage for Harding Academy.
That time just a little rip move underneath the tackle.
Able to get by the left, the left tackle for Prescott.
Now the Curley Wolves are faced with third and break out your Abacus.
Remember they they went for it on 4th down.
They got that fourth down by the nose of the ball.
They were inside the 30 things were looking good but a holding call a sack and now they have the ball in their own 43 yard line and they gotta get to the 18.
Pool is going to throw.
He's under pressure again.
That Harding Academy defense has him running for his life.
He throws it back and almost a lateral to Zachary and hold on now.
Zachary is brought down at the 45 great job of that Harding Academy defense that could have been another big play.
When whenever you get the ball to Zachary in space, you gotta hold your breath.
He had a few blockers out in front.
Nice job by the Prescott offense to recognize that they could have made plays and we're getting the indication that was a backwards pass.
Let's go actually going to run stats for Zachary.
But again, Harding Academy stays at home and gets a stop on their side of the 50 and colonels punt teams out there.
Simmons Brooks, they bring him down good open field tackles on a very explosive player.
Pot is away, low line drive C. Prescott can stop it before it gets into the end zone they owe.
Oh, they had a chance that knock him down, knocked the ball down and pinned him on the one it gets into the end zone for the touchback.
He throws, he threw the bean bag at the three.
That's where the ball was touched.
But of course it goes into the end zone for a touchback.
And that's a big break for Harding Academy, as they were about to be pinned deep inside their own 5 going into the winds.
Those 17 yards of field position going to make you feel a whole lot better if your coach Evans and at Harding Wildcat offense we asked out loud earlier when was the last time Harding Academy trailed in a game, and our buddy Mark Buffalo let us know he covers these.
Harding Academy players.
Last time Harding Academy trailed is against Briarcrest, Tennessee in the non conference portion of the season nine and has came in last.
First and 10 from the 20.
Smith sends everybody off.
Receivers to the right.
He fakes.
Miller direct snap to Miller.
Just nothing there.
There was a lot of eye candy there.
A lot of motion trying to distract that Prescott defense, but nothing happening and join the football conversation on social media.
Just use the hashtag.
AARP BS sports.
You brought it up early in that first quarter that they fit of lines or both sides were winning at the point of attack.
It hasn't stopped.
Now he's two defensive fronts or are controlling the line of scrimmage and that's what we've got.
Just nine points and almost a full half of football.
2nd 10 Smith and it's just a win ball to me.
He's looking for a Coke and coke.
Was open, but you're you know you're throwing into these.
I mean it is gusting here.
I mean he's throwing into the teeth of the wind and he's got a big arm and he used that arm.
It cut right through the window, but unfortunately went right over Coats head.
You got it, if you feel like you've got to put a little extra zip on the football to throw it to the wind and that time this little too much because that had big play written all over it to see what's behind the.
The secondary for Prescott, but now it's again, 3rd and long.
Smith looking to pass under pressure, gets rid of it, finds a receiver in his off his hands.
He had fox open, cutting across the middle and and it just banged off of Fox's hands.
He had him wide open.
Kind of a hole in the zone if you will.
And that that's a play that Fox generally makes.
Got 50 catches on the season coming into this one, averaging 17 yards reception a big hit on the quarterback.
But that time he just couldn't corral it.
Now Harding's gotta kick into the winds.
Seen both quarterbacks step up and deliver strikes, even though when they're they know a big hits coming that some receiver couldn't haul it in and help US quarterback Zachary back to return the pundits a low rolling punt roll all the way inside the 40 to the 39 is a good low line drive that's like, yeah, you're standing up on the tee box with the driver in your hand and that winds howling in your face and you try to you try to swing easy and keep it low and hit a low liner.
You know the Stinger type.
Woods called it, and normally when I tried that I would just hit it higher.
Yeah, they were just blew up in the air and go about 100 yards.
Well I tell you what that just showed.
The skill of Kyle Ferry right there.
The low line drive punt that stayed out of the wind and got a great bounce and rolled all the way to the 38.
And both these teams averaging you know upwards of 400 yards of offense.
We thought we might have a shootout and the conditions are certainly limiting the offense and the special teams.
We gotta fumble Macri dropped it.
Yep Zachary.
It picks it up and gets it back to the line of scrimmage.
On loan, the receiver who lines up in the Wildcat couldn't go down and get it, but great job of him to stay aware picks up the football and just gets back to that original line.
Well, we're guilty of it and Bobby so many times we we see these two teams with great offenses and we just talked about the offense.
Well, it takes 3 phases to get to a state championship game and the defense is usually get overlooked and and these two teams have great defenses and we're seeing that today Zachary takes it.
He's got a couple blockers out there.
Zachary breaks one tackle, breaks.
A second tackle gets it across to the 43 yard line.
Give him five on the play.
Kennedy Rush makes the tackle.
That's a good point by US.
We do talk about the offense is all the time.
They're both average and over 40, but these two defenses, given up 14 or less Prescott, giving up 14.7 Harding, given up 13.7 and showing why they've been two of the best defensive units in three.
Eight under 2 minutes ago.
Prescott.
Trying to add to their lead.
We got a flag down.
I didn't see it, but Harding Academy is pointing towards Preston Fan 5 yard penalty third down 23.
Brandon Bradley tried to get a little head start from the slot receiver position.
Well that's frowned upon.
Push him back five yards, make it third and 10.
Clock is ticking.
Minute 35.
So this is not think about taking a time out defensively.
If your Harding Academy try to get the ball back for your offensive unit even though you're going into the wind pool fakes, he's looking deep, he's going deep.
Trials of killer receiver.
He's got or receiver.
Dickens catches it.
What a catch.
What a throw that's just called trusting your arm and trusting the winds.
Gonna help you as I thought there was no chance he's going to be able to push the ball that far downfield, but pool shows off a rocket attached to his right shoulder and a great play in shrid.
Look at this throw you through it from the 33 to the 26.
Wow, throw big time catch they're in the red zone.
Gonna hand it off up the middle Grigsby still trying to move the pile.
Grigsby gets it to the 12 pitching cats goes 46 yards.
Swindle on the tackle.
Minute to go in the half.
Frescas taking their time got two timeouts, so there's really no need to get in a hurry.
I just want to make sure you don't score too quickly and give Harding a time to get the football offensively.
Grigsby up the middle, nothing.
Maybe a yard?
No, it's going to be four down territory for Prescott and we saw the struggles on the extra point on the touchdown, so they're going to have two downs to try to convert.
This clock continues to run.
Under 30 seconds here in the first half hole with another tackle third down in five.
Who keeps it?
Nothing Harding Academy's defense steps up.
Eli Wallace.
Stop dropping for a loss of one and justice.
There's no movement up front for Harding Academy.
He's not going to get his name on the stat sheet for that play, but 50 Levi Mercer, just one at the point of attack and allowed the rest of his troops to get over and make the play so balls that the 11 yard line Prescott takes their time out with 14 seconds to go.
Can't pick up a first down so they don't have to score with one timeout, just 14 seconds left on clock will stop if they do pick up a first down, but they're starting to run out of time.
Clock certainly going to be a factor.
Be a 28 yard field goal if they want to try it.
The winds behind him, but the carious its first or only extra point attempt.
It was a low line drive kick that never got above the crossbar and it actually hit the crossbar.
I don't know how much faith they have and kicking it.
I think you've got to try to find a way to get Zachary may be coming on a shallow cross, maybe a speed sweet behind the line of scrimmage.
But number three is going to be who I would be looking to 1st to get the football too.
We've seen five also been a target and just made the big play on this drive, and Mary and Dickens.
And then of course Caleb Harris is he back out there?
Have we seen Harris Harris is not back out there so his big frame is not going to be an advantage here.
Harris is still on the sideline.
I'm trying to walk it off.
He's still in a little pain but does not have his helmet.
Fourth, down in five pool calls for it, he's rolling right?
Go back, he's gonna throw it back left any Gotti touchdown Prescott on the throwback pass water throw you could see that as a slow developing play but the running back or receiver just kind of sneaks out the back side and he wins the race and what a perfect throw you could not have laid that out any better than Carson.
Pool just did right there.
That was Grigsby who snuck out of the backfield.
And he was well defended re coverage.
It is great coverage from coal, but it was a better throw in a better catch.
You just have to tip the cap there.
That's a great throw by pool and just now that went up as an offense.
Cannot execute it any better in the Curley.
Wolves have a chance to take a 10 point lead into the break.
Prescott can go ahead and try field goal again.
They're trying to get everybody out there.
They're missing.
Somebody had to take a time out and they've got one to burn, yeah?
They're gonna call timeout.
What a throat.
We saw two great throws from Karsten Pool on that drive and in fact we've seen three great throws from pool.
Memory was under pressure and delivered a dime way down the field earlier in the second quarter.
Very impressed with Carsten Pool.
His throws today come into the game.
He's completing 69% of his passes and you're starting to see why he he puts it on on target.
And the reason that throw right there was so impressive.
It's kind of going across the way.
He throws it across the field so no wind.
Not exactly.
Helping him on that one but great throw, great play and good offense just happens to be good defense on that one.
Well, if you love seeing these televised high school sports championships, please consider making a gift to Arkansas PBS today.
So Prescott adds to their lead with eight seconds left in the half.
See if they've they're going to stay with the field goal, or maybe try it.
Looks like they may be going now.
They got the kicker out there.
I see him now, press it gets the ball to start the second half.
Second, is that right?
If I recall correctly.
Harding went down, kicked field on the first possession of the game, right?
No.
No, they they got a three and out.
Let's get it.
You're right, Presley got the ball first, Timmy Downs have happened since it's a long time ago.
Defense.
I would consider going for two here.
Now move it half the distance to the goal there.
They're telling him go ahead and move it half the distance.
But they're not.
They're the kickers just going to get a little bit closer to you.
I'd go for two here.
Push it up to 11.
It's already a two possession game.
Try to make it 10 and see if the carrier has a better kick this time.
He does not.
Wide left he got that one a lot higher, but he pulled it left and it's no good.
So Prescott leads 12 to three with eight seconds to go in the half.
So if your coach glass or maybe I'll try to jump into the mind of a coach.
You're thinking with a kicker like fairy you want to have that two possession so a touchdown or field goal doesn't beat you.
So maybe that's why you try to kick the P80 there, But now Prescott over 2 on the points after now the kicking game.
Still a huge factor.
Well.
Academy is going to have a chance to do something on this kick.
Last time as Akarius kicked it off it was a low line drive kick and it doesn't get your kick coverage team a much time to get down the field and so they got two returners back there to try to make a big play.
Maybe make something happen before you go into the locker room.
I see Tyler Hoover back there too.
Deep man going to stand at their own 24.
Harding Academy.
That Andrew Miller up to the far side is that an 8?
That's a long way away.
I can't see that far.
Little higher this time.
X actually fox with it.
Fox heads to the sideline raid opens.
Yeah well, it's Treveon Dickens again.
I don't have official stats for tackles, but I bet he's got 8 tackles in the first half.
That's just a great play on special teams.
He gets down the field, breaks down, makes the play and now Harding Academy going right into the winds with three seconds left.
You gotta believe they may just run the football and get into the locker room.
So with Harding getting the football press, it's going to likely going to have the wind in the fourth quarter at their back, which is exactly what you want to do.
Wildcats come back onto the field.
You said three seconds to go in the half line up at the top of your screen.
Smith has it.
He's going to give him time to get pumps it.
Now he's under pressure.
He takes off.
Running is gonna be thrown down at the 38 yard line.
The half ends on that play.
Burton, the sophomore, drags him down and Prescott motions to their fans get up on your feet were beating Harding Academy, 12 to three.
Let's go down to the sideline.
Kyle Sutherland is grabbing coach glass Kyle.
Coach for our 4th down your two of two right now.
Talk about the execution of your offense, particularly there at the end of the half.
Well, we had to just get it in right there, you know.
And we got that little rail play.
Great throw, great catch, gotten in, and what do you do about Harding Academy password?
Even though your offense has picked it up, they have been a problem there on the ends.
What do you do there for your offensive line?
We've got to get in there and get it figured out and just shored up.
Had a couple busted Simon Simon's got a few guys beat up.
We're dipping into the depth right now so we just gotta figure out a way to get it done.
Thank coach.
Digging into the depth you think about that team, they're without their star running back, Jalen Hopson got other injuries but they lead 12 to three at the half halftime.
At the three eight state championship game, stick around, it's a Centennial bank state championships on Arkansas.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us at Everett.
Halftime at the three A state championship game there you see it.
Prescott leads Harding Academy 12 to three.
A very impressive performance by this Prescott defense.
Bobby it really has been 52 yards on the quarterback scramble way back on the Wildcats first possession of the game since then to 66 yards of offense.
A lot of the credit has to go to that front three for the Curly wolf defense.
They've been able to push the pocket and not allow a whole lot in the running game in the passing game they've had they even less time to get rid of the football at Harding Academy, only 28 yards.
Sing through the air and we've seen the wind creates some problems for both quarterbacks at times.
But Carson Pool 7 of 10 was some great throws.
I've been so impressed with this young man he's been able to push the football down the field in Prescott really took advantage of the wind in that second quarter.
They took the shots down the field, the throwback for their second touchdown.
They took advantage of the elements we saw on Monday night in the NFL.
You've got to take advantage of the elements, take what Mother Nature gives you.
The Curley Wolves are doing that and that's why they've got a nine point lead guarantee.
We will see the heart of a champion.
Harding Academy is back to back champs for Reason.
We're going to see why in the second half stick around second half action coming your way.

Hello everybody, welcome to the Arkansas PBS halftime show sponsored by the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas.
I'm your host David battle here at the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame.
Glad to have you along coming up.
We will address the importance of sportsmanship both on the field and in the stands.
Will show you the story of strong, generational, family and football bonds at Migori High School and want me to student athlete who's chasing a family rushing record with the Boonville Bearcats.
But first.
State championships or celebration of the heart and passion of students and their communities across the state.
The Arkansas Activities Association, or AAA is charged with keeping these contests going for a peek behind the curtain of how it all comes together.
We're joined by Derek Walter, assisted executive director with the AAA Derek.
Great to see you again this year.
Great to be here, man.
I'm a year too.
Yeah, I'm doing this in that last year.
It was a crazy year compared to this year with all the COVID talk about the difference between the two two seasons last year, I think we were just celebrating to get to War Memorial.
And obviously, we're glad to be back and and being the state championships this year, I think our schools would say a lot easier, right?
Yeah, less things that had to worry about as far as quarantining not quarantining and how that effect affected playing the game, I think this playoffs right now.
We've got to have about one team.
They had to back out and I think that was more due to just numbers and injuries and it was kovid so COVID really not been much of a problem for high school football this year and we were able to finish the regular season with no issues and.
And like I said, we're back here or memorial and we're talking about, you, know the game itself, but also to the fans, the family, the band, all that.
That's what sports is all about in high school, that's right, is we're gearing up for basketball, you know.
Last year we had no postseason tournaments and and so I'm sorry.
Preseason tournaments this year we do, and so we no capacity restrictions.
Bans are in the stands, cheerleaders, or, you know, on the sideline.
And so it's it's.
It's pretty much back to a normal football season and just exciting for these towns.
You know, a lot of them.
Football basketball.
The biggest thing that happens in that town and so.
We're just excited to be able to kind of start back where we left off a few years ago.
Talk about this great relationship we have this year.
Number four with the AAA and Arkansas PBS it is.
We started this amount.
Like you said four years ago and just spent a great partnership through the years we had some TV broadcasts and online broadcast, but we were not statewide and so obviously we covered the entire state of Arkansas and so wanted the towns and communities at round every corner of the state to be able to watch their team participate.
Championship and so worked with with PBS on that.
We've added baseball and softball last year, and so just looking to to maybe add more in the future.
But for us, it's just about.
How do we get more kids in the spotlight?
You know this is going to be the biggest game most students ever play in, and so the more people and more you know production that that we do for this TV game.
And also for basketball and softball and baseball, the better and more we can get.
Those kids involved and and in front of the state is a good thing also.
Real quickly to what a challenge it is to do what you do and then have social media on top of you know you know.
Do you have television coverage?
Which raises the game for everybody, which is great.
But then you deal with also the pressures of social media.
That's right, it's a new.
It's a new day as we know every day is a new day and and really depends on who's gonna.
You know what?
What story gets popped, and whose and who's tweeting and and and and sharing that out.
But it is and we try to use that to our advantage in our schools.
Do to you know with media around the state starting to dwindle, we tell our schools hate put graphics.
Now put your scores out.
You know you cover yourself and that hopefully will help get your brand out as well.
Well, you guys do a great job Derek.
You do two another successful fall of football and appreciate all that you do.
Love the partnership between the AAA and the Ark.
So PBS really.
It's a group effort between you both and it takes that along with the communities as well.
You know there's so much passion on display during a football season that it can be easy to get carried away as we support our teams.
We must always remember the importance of sportsmanship.
Let's take a look.
Now what sportsmanship means to the Arkansas student athletes who take part in the game?
Sportsmanship is integrity.
Sportsmanship is respect and kindness, self control, accountability, character, persevering through challenges, playing for the love of the game, sportsmanship to me is all about respect.
Stand true to who you are and being kind.
Having perspectx for everyone on and off the field sportsmanship means to me that you have respect for yourself and other players and you can keep your emotions together and just have fun with the game.
Sportsmanship means respecting.
All players, coaches and officials on the field and having a positive attitude sportsmanship is just being honest and being fair to not only your teammates but opponents.
Games may get heated, intense and personal.
This would likely lead to chaos and maybe even violence without sportsmanship.
Negative sportsmanship just brings the game down.
It makes it not fun anymore.
As a player it takes fun out of the game.
It doesn't just affect you, it affects everyone around.
You could affect your team as a player or an athlete.
It has a very negative effect.
I feel like my game isn't the best that it can be because someone else is putting a damper on it and it just brings us all down in a sport that should otherwise be fun and enjoyable.
Parents are very important role models.
Your behavior at games shows who you are and what you value most.
Let your child see you upholding these principles of sportsmanship.
Sportsmanship avoids all criticism and unkind actions.
Sportsmanship emphasizes the importance of respect, integrity, decency and self control.
I think we can all agree that these values are needed now more than ever before, demonstrating sportsmanship shows that you care about all kids, not just your kids.
Education based activities are about more than winning.
Using their about learning how is your sportsmanship affecting the game?
How is your sportsmanship affecting the game?
How does your sportsmanship affect the game?
How is your sportsmanship affecting the game?
For some communities and families around the state, football is a way of life.
That is certainly true.
At Macquarie High School, whereas sideline legacy expand generations.
Here's their story.
Here we go man.
Here we go.
Honestly, football is just it's been so special.
You know when you think back to 4th grade when we all started.
Nice job.
I love it.
That's why I think about all the time.
And there's not a lot to do in a small community anyway, so if you have a common bond with each other and a place to to go to each Friday night, it gives a sense of pride and a sense of character for the people in the community, and we make adjustments.
If we had to guide, 1/4 is not, many people get to coach together and have their sons coming up and watch them all throughout the week the same age and now getting the coach in high school.
You know, we know where the end is coming soon.
I'm casing Campbell in the quarterback at McCrory High School.
Win your position every single plate of the night.
Let's go.
My name is Rick Cannon and I play outside linebacker and running back at McCrory High School.
My dad is Glen Campbell.
He's an offensive coordinator.
I've got double rocket news.
My earliest memories are running up and down the sideline 'cause my dad's been coaching my whole life.
I would do anything I could just to get close to the game pushing on the gas.
Let's get on the gas, never going back again.
Not every player gets to play for their dad and on this team we have two of them, you know, but having him there, you know every day you know I got to spend every day with my dad.
Doing will be both love, so it's it's really special to get to do that.
Well, it's it's.
It's different than having or like in other sports where I have different coaches that weren't my father.
Because of course he gets only hardening.
Does anybody else?
It makes me want to talk back more, but in the back of my head I'm like I probably don't need to just shut up and listen and do what he says.
He's a lot smarter than I am.
Location and read.
They've known each other since they were born.
They've been quarterback and running back ever since 4th grade, having him by my side, especially him playing, running back.
You know, every down that I've ever played he's been right beside me like he might be scrambling around in the backfield.
And I know just if I'm blocking just to release out in the backfield and he's he knows I'm gonna be there and he can dump it off to me and let me run.
It's just kind of a brotherhood athletic bond, the bond that they've built through the years and me getting to be part of that has been extra special for me.
Well, it it's really special to me because I had both Chris and Glenn who is the father of these two young men and and they both played for me back when I was the head football coach here and now I'm coaching their sons, which you know, it's kind of special that it's kind of like a family atmosphere.
You know it's a I see some of the things in in in casing and read that I saw in in Glenn and Chris when they were playing with them too.
They just do everything.
Together, and it's been like that with baseball since they were four years old.
Also, they they've always played together.
They just enjoyed everything they did, and so we we have coaches and as we as friends win and I we have, we've really cherish those moments.
Have you thought much about next year?
Well, it's going to be different.
You know we?
We discussed that and it's that's probably the the worst discussion at Glenn and I have is, you know how things are going to change.
Well, we have a rule around here.
It's you don't talk about it.
You don't say the end is near you.
Don't even say how many games are left but you know it will be different without.
Without my son walking at all once it's gone, I mean it's gonna make me miss it so much more than I already know I'm going to.
So I think both of us try not to think about hey, this is.
Coming to an end.
Which is, I get it it is reality coming.
It is going to change and the fact that you don't get to walk onto that practice field or in that locker room and your kid not be sitting there to get to hug and to conversate with and talk to and just tell him how proud you are open.
But it's kind of a bittersweet situation.
They're realizing in the back of their mind.
This is it.
They won't be here, and you know, when you turn it around, they won't be running out on the field.
They won't be at practice.
You won't talk about it at night.
You know when you go home and it's, you know, I've been through it it.
It's tough.
It's tough.
It's called once you really realize it, you know you don't get him back.
And that's part of life.
They they really realize it's part of life, but it's been a special ride for them to have him right there to have my back and for me to have his when we get older.
And we look back.
We're going to be like what a special time this was.
Next year, sidelines will look different from a quarry for sure as reading case and move on to their new adventures across the state in Boonville.
BearCat quarterback Brandon Ray is chasing his own family legacy.
He sat down with our Bobby Swofford to tell his story.
You can make a one or two yard run turned into a 80 yard touchdown run.
You know he's very special with the ball in his hands.
Boonville is the epitome of small town America.
You know there's not a lot in town to do, but there's only one thing to do on Friday nights.
Let's come watch the Bearcats growing up in a town like this.
How important was it to you on Friday nights and do you remember the first time you came to Boonville football game?
I don't think I remember the very first time but I was definitely out there every Friday night.
You know I always looked up to those guys just.
As A kid that was the highlight of my week.
Every week is just waiting on Friday here so I can have the football game.
Did you think of them as superheroes when your kids superstars?
Yeah, when you see little kids now in this town come up to you.
I mean, do you remember back to your days?
Yeah man, those like I think of just like I wonder how they how they view me 'cause I know how I feed those guys.
Whenever I was younger you're used to hearing Ray over the PA system here in Boonville.
You mentioned his older brother.
You said you know his dad who holds the all time rushing record in Boonville which he's got a chance to break if things go right.
For you guys, I mean, what does that family mean and that it almost is like this, the epitome of small town high school football.
Yeah, I mean that that that family means everything to this community when you think about Boonville BearCat football, you know you think about the ray family and you think about everything that they've done for this program and and will continue to do.
You got a chance at 4000 yards rushing in your career?
Is that a number that you thought of coming into this season, people?
Tell me about the possible possibility as I mean like getting the record and everything, but it's never been like a personal thought of mine and they really paid much attention to it.
It is dad, Gator.
Has he gotten in years like hey how about not as many carries tonight I want to keep that record out.
No I think he wants to see very good I hope but yeah he Gators good dude.
He does a lot for a program still today.
He just had another kid.
But unfortunately girl yeah yeah that he does a lot for us and I'm grateful for him.
You know my dad is big time football.
He's he's coached me and my brothers through.
IP we grown up and everything so he's always got feedback on the game like things that we did well, things we did improve on.
You know it's kind of like a second coach when I get home.
You know I'm always like here in his part of the game what he saw about it so you know not many kids can say hey I ran for 1000 yards three different times in high school even fewer can say hey I got 4000 even less can say I got a school record rushing yards but a state championship as a senior mean to you.
That's everything for me.
7th grade we and our offseason workouts.
We were told to make goals for ourselves.
That was one of my wrote down on a piece of paper was a state championship football and you know, I've been working for it every year and haven't got there yet.
Hopefully this is the year.
He's an unbelievable leader.
He's always doing what we asked him do, plus some.
He lives in the weight room, you know, does everything you need that he needs to do it in in the classroom.
Takes care of business and he's just a special special person.
And you know, we're just trying to really enjoy her short amount of time.
We have left with him, but you know, it's going to be a sad day and moving when he goes.
You know it's it's been great having the opportunity to coaching for sure.
Rand, and certainly has covered some ground this season, as if we during this halftime show.
But now it's time to get back to the three Eight championship action at War Memorial Stadium.
And remember, keep up with all the sports action at Arkansas PBS by signing up at my ourpbs.org backslash sign up.
I'm David basil.
See you next time here on the home of the high school football state finals, Arkansas PBS.

Back at War Memorial Stadium, getting ready for the second half kickoff, Prescott leads Harding Academy 12 to three, unless more.
Joined by Bobby Swofford and.
Bob, if you told me it was 12 to three at the half, I said I don't think you're now Bobby.
The chances that I don't think so, maybe 33 to 20 might have been a more realistic prediction of the score, but we we talked about in the first half.
How explosive the offenses are.
But the defenses have come to play.
They both give up 14 points or less per game on the season, and you're starting to see why.
And the defensive fronts for both Prescott and Harding Academy are winning at the point of contact.
They're winning at the line of scrimmage, and that's why these two offenses have really struggled to get it going.
Prescott's defense has been very impressive to hold Harding Academy to 33 points.
Basically, one big play that was the big play by Kate Smith.
The scramble up the middle and they tackled him inside the 10.
That was a great four point play by the safety to tackle him, prevent the touchdown and then the defense stiffened up and forced the field goal at 52 yards of their 118 total yards in the first half came on a quarterback scramble, so that tells you how suffocating that Prescott defense has been.
There's no running lanes for Andrew Miller, there's nothing really there, obviously.
In the passing game that you can pinpoint, say, OK, they can go to this, and in the second half.
So it's not completely back to the drawing board for Harding Academy.
They're going to have to kind of circle the wagons if you will, and try to find out what's going to work for them in the second half.
Harding Academy is coming back onto the field.
Prescott is warming up down on the other end.
There were some highlights in the first half, and let's take a look at those first half highlights.
And I think this is a quick little out pass and it's just really to show you the defense from Prescott.
And then here's that was Dickens on the tackle Harding Academy with the great defensive play and they've had pressure on pool all afternoon long.
Let's see a sack right there from Harding Academy.
More pressure on pool.
Let's look how many sacks they got 3/4 sacks on the on the day on the first half, but this is one of the big plays from Prescott.
Kaylin Zachary cutting across the field and scoring the touchdown that was the first touchdown for the Curley Wolves and that gave them a six to three lead at the at the time.
Another one of the four sacks from Harding Academy and then this is the big play under pressure finds his receiver across the middle of the field.
That's one of the big throws that we saw Karsten Pool make.
Here's the last big play from pool and he finds Grigsby in the end zone.
That throwback.
Play and that's your score at the half 12/3 Harding Academy trails Prescott.
Let's go down to the sideline and check in with Kyle Sutherland coach this is an unfamiliar territory for you guys.
Down at the half.
What do you tell your guys at the break?
Well I told him just that, you know, we've we've not been in a lot of tight ball games, which is, you know, a good thing and a bad thing.
I think the bad thing is you kind of shell shocked when a really good team like we're facing comes out and makes some good plays.
And you know, I, I think you just end up in a situation where you're you know.
You start scrambling, think you gotta press.
And that's not the answer.
I think we've got to settle in and continue to do the things that were in the game plan, and I think you know it's it's obvious that you know offense has some things to them that that we think are probably there.
We just got to go make the place when they're there.
Thank coach.
Harding Academy's head coach Neil Evans 12, and two on the year looking for a 3 peat.
But they got some work to make up here at War Memorial Stadium.
Let's take a look at some of the first half stats and it was stats, really.
Dominated by Prescott 117 yards through the air, big plays by the quarterback Carson Pool really pushed the ball down the field and the majority that came in the second quarter look at the first half stats in the first 12 minutes of this contest.
Prescott had 24 yards of offense and so you see the production they had in the second quarter.
And that's really the difference.
Time of possession.
The first downs, yards per play.
Pretty similar, but the second half production from that Curly Wolf offense is why they have a nine point lead.
Three big plays from Prescott, Harris, a 44 yard catch.
Dickens a 46 yard catch and zackary they're going to say that was a run of 64 yards.
It is windy today.
That's a good look at it that shows you that wind blowing out of the north.
It's every bit of 11 mph, I promise you.
I think Kyle can tell us that better first hand he came in from halftime and said that when was blowing pretty good.
Harding Academy going to receive the football but Prescott's going to have the wind at their back so hard and is going to get the football to start the second half and have the winds in the fourth quarter.
So a little surprising Prescott didn't take the win for the fourth quarter, as Harding had the option here in the second half.
But maybe they're thinking this is their chance to put the game away not let Harding Academy come out of the half with any kind of momentum C. Different kicker I believe.
For Prescott Rabbit in a sophomore.
That's a kicker right there, short at the 30 yard line.
Instead, Dickens again on the special teams tackle, think I saw seven flash in there in there.
Good field position though for Harding Academy.
They get up to 36 and we'll see what the kind of adjustments Coach Evans and Company came up with at the half because most of it started with protection.
You know, of course they want to run the football with Andrew Miller of 1500 Yard running back 28 touchdowns.
He hasn't had a lot of touches 7 carries.
I gotta think he's going to get twice that in the second half.
170 carries on the season.
Yeah, I would think if you're going to jump start your offense number eight would be a good way to do it.
Check in inside line.
At the play, now they're ready to go.
Miller has it.
Miller crossed the 40 breaks out of the tackle to the 43 at 7 yards on first down, before Thompson brings him down.
We saw early in that first quarter West as he was able to finish runs, get 5-6 yards of carry.
It's kind of got away from it.
He's gonna roll and spin his way for a first down.
So back to back.
Carries by Miller gives Harding Academy first down.
So at the very end of that play, the left tackle Jacob Brazil finished off a pancake block and I think that front was probably challenged at the half hour.
Harding see little theme Miller breaks loose, gets the first down all the way down to the 33 yard line.
Patrick finally brings him down, but that's another.
First down they ran for 2200 yards on the season and their first third 14 contests excuse me that Harding Academy.
I think you know the question was asked our guys you got.
You gotta step up and make plays on your office to front and we're starting to see they're leaning on the big uglies, picking up the pace a little bit and try a little reverse to Hoover and Hoover has nothing because Patrick makes his second tackle in a row and nice job by Patrick is a Prescott defender has to come off.
He stays at home, able to chop him down there again.
Good outside leverage, though.
By the Prescott defenses, even if Patrick doesn't make that play, that one's going nowhere.
Loss of two second and 12.
Smith to pass.
Now he's going to scramble room to run up the middle.
He slides down at the 27th so picks up.
About eight on the play straight drop back the middle of the field appears to be opened for Harding.
Academy will see if they want to maybe dial up.
It's a straight quarterback.
Draw a time or two here in this second half.
Try to exploit a hole in the defense for the Curley Wolves.
Urgent four.
I gotta think this is 4 down territory going into the wind.
I know they've got a great kicker.
Down 9.
Smith to Miller Miller, picking his way, gets across the 35 the 25 to the 24 is going to be a yard short.
He picked up three on 3rd down to be fourth and one.
There's been the the key of the cog all right here on this drive, for Harding Academy, and I think on 3rd, and one likely not going to change the the recipe here.
If you're hurting Academy, I think looks like Prescott may be burning time out.
The Prescott coaches.
They were upset about something.
If it was a lineman or personnel on the field, but they're going to burn a timeout, they know this is a big play right here.
And I think you're exactly right.
It's got obviously four down territory.
Your offensive line is paved the way it's all the way down the field on this drive.
No point to deviate too far from it here.
Couple freshmen up front though for Harding Academy.
Line up behind some of your upperclassmen.
Lean on those guys to make a play.
Got a couple seniors on that left side with Brooks Petty and Jacob Brazil freshman Canaan Harris at center or freshman Joshua Allen at right guard and then a sophomore.
Jack Seager over on the right tackle.
So that right side underclassmen left side is going to be your older guys and you'd likely see that flip next year because you want your experience your your your call.
I'm not gonna say they're not quality, but you're more experienced players on the backside protecting the blind side of your quarterback.
This is a big big fork down play coming up for both sides and Prescott's defense made a big stop.
And the red zone, the first drive and Harding Academy knocking on the door or red zone again.
Prescott is 3 for three on 4th down.
This is the first fourth down attempt for Harding Academy.
High snap, but he gets it away and they got the first down that was the offensive line doing it.
They just got a big push and Miller didn't have to even make a move.
He just got in behind them and picked up the first down the original line of scrimmage.
There was 24 this year was snapped the line of scrimmage.
Moved to the 22.
So nice push from the front five for Harding Academy, not the Wildcats.
Have a chance to capitalize on a impressive opening drive of the second half is like Harding Academy is picking up the pace a little bit.
You don't keep it this time.
Smith picking his way gets crossed the 20 down to the 19 picks up a couple yards.
Dickens on the tackle.
Not a whole lot there either, if only on the giver.
The option.
Read there for Harding Academy just.
Prescott's swarming to the football.
I think they probably recognize that Harding wants to run the football here in the second half and starting to play downhill.
Miller, now up to 70 yards.
Smith has 67.
He wants to pass.
He's got a receiver across the middle and just LED box just by a hair fox couldn't bring it in and Fox is was pointing at something.
I think his vision might have been blocked.
That's two drops now for the leading receiver for Harding Academy.
The official pass was going right towards the umpire, his head, and he ducked and blocked the vision of a fox there.
As he couldn't make the play, sometimes the offense uses that back.
Judges, a adicore is a kind of a screen, a Screener, and time he got in their way.
Can't blame him, he's exactly where he's supposed to be.
Third and eight.
You need to get to about the 11th.
Smith as a receiver in its Miller for the touchdown back shoulder throw Miller makes the adjustment.
The DB didn't then Miller gets into the end zone, playing defense in today's modern football.
So hard 'cause that's that's really good coverage on Miller as a slot receiver.
But you mentioned that the back shoulder throw a perfect strike from Smith and he makes the adjustment on the play and hauls it in a water drive to start the second half for Harding Academy.
As they closed it to a field goal game.
Back to back Champs just knew they weren't going away.
High snap kick is up high kick not gonna block that when it's good we got a ball game.
Harding Academy scores a touchdown on their first drive to make it 12 to 10.

We were wondering about Andrew Miller in the first half and thought maybe he would see some more touches in the second half.
Well, sure enough, 5 carries and then the reception for the touchdown six times he touched the ball in that 10 play drive, 60% of the touches on that.
Drives another kickoff sales into the end zone.
When he's your offense when he's got 2000 yards of total offense on the season, you knew at some point Harding Academy was going to have to go to their old, reliable and.
As you mentioned, six of their 10 plays go to number 8.
And that's why Harding Academy is closed.
This to a 1210 margin.
But the leg on cow fairy into that wind, he still gets the touchback.
Looks like the winds dying down a little bit.
That's still impressive.
Toenail that into the end zone for the touchback.
He's just a junior in Arkansas, just lost their a kickoff specialist.
I hear that fair, he's got the Baylor on his mind first and 10 for Prescott.
I got a flag for getting movement in the backfield.
But there were some confusion.
I saw the back was illegal substitution offense, 5 yard penalty.
First down.
They got too many out there.
I I saw Treveon Dickens was in the backfield.
He was waving.
Yeah like something was wrong.
I just took a player out, didn't replace him.
So that tells you they had too many men on the field.
It's not a.
It's a perfect start to the second half for Harding Academy.
Not an ideal start, their first possession here in the second half of Prescott.
Paul fakes a handoff he's looking to throw and he gets hit as he throws balls in the end is picked off.
Harding Academy picks it off Eli Wallace.
There's a duck flying out here and Wallace.
With his back to the.
Goal over the shoulder catch and just the pressure from the defensive front 45.
It makes the play on the quarterback Cooper well, so defensive lineman wins the battle up front gets a just enough of pools arm.
That ball shoots straight up in the air and water and athletic play to make that 'cause they tell you.
As a catcher turned your back to the to the mound.
It almost looked like a baseball type.
Play there to make the interception.
Is he kind of thought to hate the football?
Might bring it back to me or the wind might bring it back to me and in Harding Academy.
Takes advantage of or believe it's the first first turnover of the game.
Eli Wallace High fiving.
Some of the fans over there gets his third interception of the season.
It's Miller again, Miller, bouncing it outside.
Miller brought down inside the 20.
Let's go down the sideline.
Check in with Kyle guys, we saw Caleb Harris as a tight end for and Division One prospect for Prescott.
Take that hard shot in the first half.
He is walking around right now in a sweatshirt.
Still got his pants on but in a lot of pain.
Walking around on a sweatshirt.
Right now, second in five for Harding Academy.
Third quarter.
Looking to take the lead.
That's a big blow for Prescott.
On both sides of the football.
Harris, as a playmaker made a couple on offense in that first half, so if he can't return, that's the dimension of the office with Curly rules they don't have.
I snap Smith, keeps it Smith down to about the ten.
That's a first down bell.
Brings him down.
Gotta believe this second half West is going to be all that offensive line for Harding Academy against the defensive front for Prescott.
They're going to say.
The heck with throwing the football in this wins if we can run it and pick turn up big yardage was gonna lean on that, especially when you get a defensive turnover.
Now he's got a chance to take.
The leaders are in side the ten person.
Goldsmith keeps it.
He's got blocker Smith spinning touchdown Wildcats.
He was untouched until he ran into his own lineman.
Those guys up front have paved the way for two touchdown drives in the first five minutes and change here in this second half.
And Harding Academy is certainly feeling that far sideline.
Harding Academy appears to be going for 212 to 10.
Push the margin to six points to get a two point conversion.
That's 16 to 12.
Sorry I can't.
I'm standing right here in front of the scoreboard.
I can't read it 16 to 12.
You're right and you think of why you're chasing points now.
Prescott missing their first two extra points.
Six points is a margin that's big enough.
Shovel Pass finds a receiver, but Fox can't get in there.
Smith was under pressure.
That plate was blown off from the start.
Glass makes the tackle, but just.
Gotta give credit to Prescott's defense for blowing that play up, and Smith was trying to create something and.
Found Fox, but couldn't get in for the two point conversion, not turn over.
Prescott was looking to push the ball down the field most like they did in that second quarter with the wind at their back or trying to take advantage of it, but going into the wind, Harding Academy able to put up 13 quick points in this third quarter and now Prescotts got to weather the storm and and try to answer back without.
You could probably call their two biggest playmakers, and they're running back Hopson, who's missed the last few weeks and now Harris, who sidelined with what looked like to be there.
Chester, an arm injury.
We highlighted the four sacks from Harding Academy in the first half.
They didn't get a sack and interception, but that's what created that interception?
Val Ferry with the kick its into the end zone.
That's going to be his fourth touch back in the game.
Italian fat off.
He's he's got a touch back.
It's just a weapon that most teams don't have.
Especially gets Prescott.
Now their speed you think about special teams and how many times you see big plays from fast guys on on Kick returns.
And just forced into team to go 80 yards on you every time it starts to wear on you mentally.
Celebrate Game Day under the arch is you can access the tons of benefits through our rewards program.
It's available today on the McDonald's app.
We love it, but the first time since early in the first quarter, Prescott's office takes the field trailing.
They're now down 16 to 12.
Paul's gonna hand it after Grigsby Grigsby spins, gets four on 1st down.
So maybe if you're Prescott, you've seen that Harding Academy challenge their offensive line.
Maybe you trust your guys up front.
Start making life a little easier on you.
Going down into second in six.
Pull hands it off.
Dickens gets close to the first down.
It's going to depend on the mark.
Alsobrooks makes the tackle.
Give it to him, give him the 30.
Stop the clock for a second.
Move those chains that consist 13 carries on the season coming into today, but averages 10 yards to tote.
Sammy gets just enough get six in the first set of downs for the curly wolves.
Dickens still in there.
Don't take it again, bounces it outside.
No where to go.
It's a loss of the yard.
Great pursuits.
Get 5 Harding Academy defensive players right around the football when he finally goes down.
It makes life so tough for you as a running back when he think he made it cut to bounce it outside.
You might pick up a few extra yards and they beat you to the spot.
2nd 11 Dickens goes out.
Grigsby's back in.
12 on the play clock.
Pull back to throw under pressure.
Got a screen set up to Grigsby Grigsby across the 35 to 37.
Merry Christmas from pick up eight on that.
Play Eli Walls on the tackle.
Nice designed to that you get Harding rushing upfield.
They've had so much success getting after the quarterback.
They just sneak the the running back out on the middle screen and able to pick up 7 maybe 8 yards and put yourself in a third manageable Kennedy rush.
Also there to help Wallace.
Third, and four need to get to the 40.
Poor keeps it.
Paul has the first down balls lose.
Harding Academy has its second straight turnover.
Great job defensively.
Pool had enough yardage for the first down marker, but arms came in.
The ball pops out, and Harding Academy's defense is creating offense for the Wildcats.
And he's going to be a good look at it.
It's the first hit from Rush Rush had him in a ball, came out early and I thought when he was falling forwards when the ball came out.
But as soon as Kennedy rush.
Hip pulled Ball came out.
They take over first and 10 at the 41.
Miller picking his way.
Miller still on his feet across the 25 down to the 23 yard line.
You gotta do everything you can right here if you're Prescott to hold them to a field goal.
Keep it a one possession game.
You got to be feeling really good about yourself up 9 at the half, but the way they've been playing right now.
Harding Academy's offense, they're gonna be tough to stop this running attack here in this third and fourth quarter.
Miller just brought down.
That was a great tackle from to Dorian Thompson.
He just.
Shot through that offensive line and tackled Miller in the backfield, and you've got you've got to force Harding Academy to to play behind the chains.
They've been winning.
First down on their first two possessions.
Now you call this the third possession of this third quarter.
Gotta start making plays up front for the Prescott defense.
Smith, looking over at the sideline.
He's got a receiver just sat down at the 20 yard line as Fox.
Brought down by Zachary Zachary to the clothes look like in there might have been some yardage after the catch possibilities with Zachary will be closed quickly and chops him down right when he makes the catch job.
Smith just taking what the defense gave them or looking for Miller on the corner out in his good coverage to take away his initial read.
Third, and six Millers in the slot right now to the left of the quarterback.
Pressure coming gets rid of it.
Has a receiver in the end zone, knocked away at the last second.
What a play by Tidwell looked like he had his receiver open going coke in the end zone and.
Soon as I was watching the one on one matchup at the top of the screen and you could say he's got the two steps on Tidwell with the closing speed, the ball held up just a little bit going back into that wind and that forces a touch prevents a touchdown.
Enforces Harding Academy to settle for another field goal attempt.
36 yard field goal from Kyle Ferry.
The left footed junior kicker.
Hi, long enough it's good I did to the winds big time kicking that that just landed right in the front row of the bleachers here at War Memorial Stadium.
He he can hit it from 60 going the other direction.
That time it took every bit of leg that he had to get it from 37 they increased their lead.
Harding Academy 19 Prescott 12.
Now they have a touchdown lead.
That third quarter was a big stop for Prescott, right?
The hold them to a field goal to keep it at one possession game, 'cause you don't think that the difference between seven and 10 points really sounds all that great, but it's not extra possession could really take it out.
Take a lot out of you mentally, and so now the curly wolf know they can go down.
Put together a solid drive and tie this game right back up.
Or one big play.
You know one big and we've seen Prescott with several big plays this game.
That's all.
They they're one big play away from possibly tying this up.
Send a big shout outs.
To Ashley Media for helping us get the word about state championships.
We of course appreciate their support.
As we've got shocking another touchback.
Just a driving kick into the wind.
Very impressed with Kyle Ferry junior two.
Yeah, I remember you know, he perked my interest last year as we watched him in that state championship game.
Granny had a lot of lot of chances at it as they scored up with 71 on Maggie this season a season ago in the finals.
It's a great memory.
After it's not just the hat rack up here.
Will something inside that brain of yours?
Prescott, they gotta get something figured out on offense.
Now they looked really good in the first half and second half.
They've got an interception on the first drive, a fumble in the second drive.
Gotta try to find a way to get them all to Zachary.
At least their explosive playmaker on offense.
And they lined up in the Wildcat and they got flags before the snap.
They're just going to snap it directly to Grigsby illegal substitution offense, 5 yard penalty.
First down, that's a Second Street drive that this has happened, but I don't know what.
What are we seeing the illegal?
What do they calling here?
They've got 12 men on the field again and that's not great.
2468.
Yeah, there's twelve guys.
There's still 12 out there.
Yeah, so there's too many men out there for for Prescott, and those are just mental mistakes that you can't make.
Bring a receiver off.
Well, maybe that was a game plan.
We can't score with eleven.
We're gonna play with 12.
Grigsby has it goes over the right side.
He picks up the penalty yards, take another look at that it looks like the two players in the backfield might have collided Grigsby's head kind of snapped to the left and right after he took the snap.
I believe the I think the running back came across and hit his face mask and popped his head up in the air and slowed him down just a little bit and that could have potentially been a bigger gain of five but at least they get back to the original line of scrimmage.
Second and 10 Bradleys in the backfield right now with pool.
Fake it to Bradley Pools looking to throw.
He's going deep across the middle quadruple coverage and is picked off a juggling catch made by seek an ACPI nudo.
Trying to do too much with the Prescott there and free determined where he was going to throw the football trust in the arm.
A little too much and four white jerseys around the football.
And as you mentioned, that's an easy interception.
And Prescott likely lucky he could then keep his feet there, 'cause it had a potential for a big return.
And now Harding had a chance to put even more points on the board after having 16 here in this third quarter.
Great catch from Acton Udo and there was some doubt if he would come back in the second half.
He was in a lot of pain.
Kyle was telling us he was in a lot of pain in the first half.
Well he's back and he's back in a big way.
Third straight turnover for the Prescott defense.
Harding Academy looking to capitalize.
They're going deep.
They got a receiver open.
He makes the catch and he's got room to run Harding Academy back on the scoreboard that's landing coke with the big catch.
One play drive 58 yards.
It's a two possession lead for pressure for Harding Academy.
These Wildcats have come to play in the second half.
That's why you you run the football so much for when you're Miller and Harding Academy.
You start wearing on that defensive front.
You start them to creep up.
They go man to man on the outside and coke just wins the one on one battle.
Wilted well on the outside and simple.
Go route quarterback.
Put it on him and you know the dam has apparently broke for the Prescott defense.
As points are flooded in for the Wildcats 17 straight points here in the third quarter, if the extra point is good.
Got a flag on the play, then move it back five and kick it again.
5 yard penalty.
I don't think that'll be a problem for ferry.
So now you look at potentially going into the fourth quarter.
Try to stop this bleeding.
You're going to be going into the winds if you're Prescott, so now that passing game going to be limited.
Extra point attempt is good and will give him 17 straight points.
Free ****.
What a third quarter from Harding Academy.
Very impressive.
I've done it on the ground and that time they go to the air, but it all starts the defense West mean.
We talked about how effective they've been all season long.
Given up just 13.7 points per contest, three consecutive drives from Prescott that have ended in turnovers, all of which have happened at the 40 or the OR or back.
So they've had great field position and more importantly, their offense has been able to take advantage of the free possessions.
I've been drinking doctor Pepper all throughout the first half.
I'm going to go get me a coke after that play from Landon.
That was nice.
See what you did there.
It's better than drinking with the running backs named after Slater.
Another kick off this one might make it's not going to make it there in Prescott's.
Gonna have a chance to return their first kickoff of the game.
Grigsby, across the 20 to the 23 yard line, brought down by Brooks.
Lost, you know mentally as a kickoff unit, you probably don't think I've got to go down and make a play, but nice job by Harding to to go down and make a play on special teams.
You want a copy of this title game or any other state championship matchup.
Just go to MM productions Nets, place your order.
I got four a game tonight.
2A games have been pushed back to tomorrow because all the wild weather we had here in Central Arkansas last night.
Girl, you may need to go check on Grigsby.
He's about that on the 25 yard line on the sideline.
He's in some pain after that kick return so he's not in the game right now.
At Zachary, going to take the worse, they fake the reverse, and Zachary's got some room on the outside to the 4045 pushed out of bounds.
Big play from.
Prescott Mcgehee pushes him out of bounds.
Great job, great play design as they fake the reverse to the quarterback so you think, OK, maybe they're gonna try a trick play and pitch it back to the quarterback and throw it deep.
Zachary keeps it in his second big.
Rushing play press getting teraton near midfield he is fast.
The hand that went off to Bradley.
Bradley brought down on the 48 that was a good tackle from Harding Academy.
Chism makes the tackle and open field, and that's right at the line of scrimmage.
ISM doesn't come up from his free safety spot and make that play.
He's likely up the sideline and that might have been a big gainer for the Curly Wolf office.
Instead, it's second and 10, tackling in space.
How many times you hear Coach talk about that?
Those one on one plays?
I mean, that's the kind of the the game within the game.
We've got the teams who make the simple place often.
Give themselves a chance to win Bradley.
Still in the game.
Pool.
He wanted to throw and he pulled it down.
They're gonna say he was down.
I don't think he gained anything accidentally got a loss of a half a yard, so let's give Wallace a sack.
Then you'll get credit for a sack and you know, again, another plane in space.
If he doesn't make that play is a tripped him up just enough that would have been big gain edge on the quarterback scramble, but instead it's third and long.
Third and 11.
Cool looking to throw these guys receiver out there needs a break, a tackle to get the first down in another open field tackle that Mcgahee does it again if he makes Mcgahee missed.
He picks up the first down instead.
He's 2 yards short.
I think this is definitely going to go forward here if you're pressing at that time.
They finally gave their quarterback pool time to throw the football.
Hit his receiver in stride, but again, a great play on the outside prevents the first down from being picked up.
No big fork down opportunity here comes great offense.
Rigsby back in the game so I could see him make a play.
Pool going to keep it.
He's got the first down.
So once again, Prescott goes forward on 3rd down on 4th down and they are now four for four on 4th down.
They've been successful.
Most of them have been short opportunities that time trusting the right side of your offensive line to straight quarterback, lead and pool does enough to pick up yardage or somtin ball on the 40 Zachary coming in motion.
He's got a blocker, makes one man miss, but not the second man picks up eight.
It's a great job getting the kick out, block out infront.
Lead the way for Zachary.
He cuts it up and picks up good yardage on 1st down and now you get the full use of the playbook for Prescott.
Chisholm on the tackle.
Could.
Could be the last play of the quarter.
Pool it's gonna keep it.
Outruns one defender, gets the first down to the sideline, out of bounds at the 24 yard line, pushed out of bounds by Cikot.
Let's go down to the sideline.
Check in with Kyle.
You saw on that last drive C. Contact bognuda.
Of course we weren't sure if he was going to come back and he came in with authority getting his sixth interception of the season that ties the team lead and he didn't even start playing football till this past June.
First and 10 balls on the 23 Zachary with it.
Running over the left side as a couple blockers, but yeah.
Just fighting through defenders.
That was a great play by the Harding Academy defense.
Welch gets the tackle.
I'm not sure who broke it up.
That's going to do it for the third quarter.
It was a third quarter owned by Harding Academy, but Prescott is driving trying to make this a one possession game.
Fourth quarter action coming up.

Second and 10 pool.
Find his receiver.
Grigsby spinning brought down by two Wildcats at the 13 yard line.
That's close.
He may have that first down, they're going to give it to him.
I like the idea.
Just a simple stop route.
You think in the red zone, you may just be running a simple goal route.
Try to get to that back pile on that time.
Brings me just cuts it off at 10 yards.
Makes the play and some new set of downs.
Pulled Bradley Bradley up the middle, crossed the 10 driving.
Kerry Mercer on the tackle.
This is obvious four down territory West.
We were we were talking during the break.
Prescotts got to put the ball in the end zone on this drive.
That'll be find a way to extend this game pool quick.
Throw out the Zachary Zachary makes, makes a couple of moves, Wu and now he's coming.
Reversing field.
He's got a whole host of blockers and walks into the end zone.
What a run from Zachary.
That's why you run a little flare out to Zachary.
You try to get him the ball in space and that time he has to reverse field and about the time he crossed the hash he saw five red juries.
He's out in front and this is gonna be a great angle at it.
You see all the red jerseys out in front?
He's got a convoy of blockers, including his quarterback into the end zone.
Woo.
He is fun to watch.
And over 2 hour question was answered and they are going to go for two struggling on extra points.
Paul has.
Rolls to his right, pitches it out to Bradley Bradley, trying to get a block he's pulled down from behind.
It's no good Wallace with the tackle, so it's an 8 point game.
We talked about this earlier with the they were struggling with the extra points.
Do you have enough faith if you're going to come back and tie this game that your kicker can make two extra points in a row.
My answer was I don't think so.
And you thought the same thing, so why not go for two because you're still only down one possession.
It's an 8 point game, but that that time that play great job by the Harding.
Defense to recognize option pretty quickly.
This is they haven't run up to this point in this contest.
Have crafted, but the Wildcat defense maintains their assignment is outside leverage.
Get the pitch man and prevent the two point conversion.
And don't forget that you're kicking into a win.
That makes it even tougher for your kicker.
You're over two with the winds and no point risking it going into it.
Again, eight point game Prescott.
Still you know, can tie it up with a touchdown and a two point conversion will find a way to get to stop defensively though Harding Academy was rolling offensively in that third quarter.
Scored 23 straight points in that third period I found a way to make a play defensively Wildcats all bunched up, expecting a short kick.
And that's what it is.
It's fox with it.
Fox across almost to the 40.
Going on trip, he brought down by Bell.
So Harding Academy starts off at their own 38.
I believe this drive going to start with Miller for Harding Academy at 8 touches in the first half at 9 touches in the third quarter.
I know who their bell cow is.
I wanna find it or playmaking running back at 94 yards rushing, 28 yards receiving but does have a touchdown catch fourth quarter the state championship game.
You're up eight.
Who are you giving it to?
Number 8 or no doubt about that.
No doubt about it.
Miller over the left side gets a key block across the 50 across the 40 still on his feet.
Finally brought down at the 25 yard line.
That's a 36 yard gain on first down by Miller.
Gotta easily stepped out of bounds, but instead he tip toes, the sideline breaks the tackle and picks up big yardage after contact and he just knows how to finish runs.
What a great job of staying in bounds and picks up another 10.
Maybe even.
15 yards, and that's why you give it to number 8 when the game's on the line Simmons blocking downfield.
This time Smith's going to keep it, he's got Miller, helping him out and Smith spins down to about the 14 yard line.
Mr Response, you know that's always the big question.
West is who's going to respond when the other team punches you in the mouth that time.
Prescott put together a nice drive, goes down and scores cuts it to a one possession game.
And quickly Harding Academy answers.
They're in the red zone.
Miller with it.
Miller look at him drive still moving the pile.
He's down almost to the tan.
Dickens finally brings him down.
Trayveon Dickens has had a heck of a game for Prescott neither.
First down for Harding Academy.
10 minutes ago final quarter of the three A state championship game.
First, and Tim Miller with it Miller.
Bowling his way down.
We got a flag down look like I think I saw a flag come down the 410 yard line and came in from behind the play and that's generally going to be against the offense.
And Harding offensive lineman already starting to make their way back to Millers feeling it.
He just kind of sized up that defensive back.
Pretty clean game, not a lot of penalties with that one big is going to put Harding Academy well behind.
The change is going to be.
First and close to 20 I believe.
Just the fifth penalty for Harding Academy Prescott's also been called for five flags or five penalties.
From 19 it looks like it can pick up a first down right around the one.
But they try to get Prescott to jump.
They moved but didn't come across into the neutral zone.
Smith alone in the backfield.
He's going to keep it.
Ron follows his big left guard.
He's got room to run dives into the end zone.
Touchdown Arctic Academy.
I thought that might be a cold.
They dialed up West is the middle of the field on passing situations has been opened for the Prescott defense and 1st in 20 they just go quarterback, draw and water run and what a way to finish the run by Kate Smith as he lunges for the end zone and.
Looks like they've already reviewed this one and call it good, so Wildcats back in to the end zone we see that play again.
I want you to watch Josh Luallen the freshman, the right guard pulling.
He followed him.
Josh got a big block.
He was free.
Extra point is up and it is good.
Harding Academy increases their lead.

Special thanks to Community Bakery for providing food for our crew and their continued supports of Arkansas PBS.
Think the Harding Academy fans are feeling it.
Student section is getting all riled up.
Really 3318, they're 9 1/2 minutes away.
From a third straight state championship, eight time champs looking for #9 cats looking at and leave three on top.
So I'll be moving up to four a next year.
Ferry through the end zone.
Prescott takes over at their own 20 down 15.
Looking for a championship game coming up tonight and we expect to see a few fireworks between Joe T Robinson and Shiloh Christian next year.
We will have new champs and for a for sure because Shiloh and Robinson both move up.
5/8 will have a new champ 'cause Pulaski Academy is moving up.
The six A we could elder radio will still be in 6A.
And of course Brian's I say creating a day just for Bryant.
I think we're fine there to you know you went four state championships at 7 in Arkansas.
This for making playing Texas next year, but.
Tell me that's not legal pool needing points fakes a handoff to Bradley Quick pass out to Grigsby Grigsby drops it goes never had it.
To set up the tunnel screen coming back into the middle of the field and Grigsby just couldn't hold that one in had some blockers out in front.
Tried to run before he hauled it in.
Notice they've moved Grigsby out to receive or more.
Now he was playing a lot of running back in the first half and they're having to throw it more so they want Grigsby out there with Zachary.
Is their weapons 415 yards receiving on the year for Grigsby?
Paul, they did a double move and threw it.
Zachary ran down stopped after about 10 yards like it was just going to be a quick little stop but it was a stopping go but Harding Academy was all over it and their bracket coverage in Zachary.
They had a corner man to man and safety over the top and they did not bite on that double move.
Pool just throws it over top of everybody.
Now it's gonna be third and long.
They got Chism dedicated just as a double team on Zachary.
Need somebody else to step up.
Get him coming across the field, but her post or a deep cross negate the benefit of that safety over the top Bradley emotion.
Pool.
Going to scramble and he's brought down at Harding Academy defense brings him down Butterfield once again.
Great job by Butterfield they're gonna say Prescott lost the football and they're going to give Harding the ball inside the five.
So that was a sack, a fumble cause and recovery.
Look at the replay.
Just Butterfield wins the battle there over the left tackle.
And you could see the ball does pop out when Mercer came in.
Knocked the ball out and then Welch recovers it.
So three of the four defensive lineman get in on the action.
That's a.
That's a tough break for Prescott.
You're already going to be faced a fourth and long with the ball comes out now.
Harding Academy got a chance to essentially put this game away with 9 minutes left here in the 4th.
Fittingly, it could be another sack from Harding Academy that gets this done.
And just keep it, and sure enough, follows the lineman in that's another touchdown.
It's all Harding Academy right now.
Kate Smith.
Just follow the big guys and walked into the end zone.
That's that they challenge their offensive line at the half.
It's obvious and coach Evans is front five have responded as the ball came out after he crossed the goal line.
That touchdown is going to stand and three points at the half has turned into 39 already for Harding Academy, 36 points in a quarter in three minutes for the Wildcats.
What Smith was impressive too because we have seen Treveon Dickens make tackle after tackle and Dickens was right there in the whole met him in the hole and Smith.
Put his head down and powered his way into the end zone.
It just finishing and the physicality of Harding.
In this second half, I think is really starting to wear down Prescott team.
That's as coach Glass told us at the half they have to dig into the depth and I think they've really worn down the curly wolf defense and they just don't have an answer.
They don't have a stop in them to slow down Harding's attack, and that's why they're about to leave.
Three is a three time defending state champion.
We've seen Dickens on offense also, so you're at a point, a game where he may be just worn down.
Tending to an injured player and I wasn't able to see it looks like it's just a cramp.
They're rubbing out his calf.
So hopefully he'll be fine.
So cool D. Expect to see some cramps.
Last night was felt like a 75 degrees and 99% humidity.
Before the storms rolled in today, it's a little chilly, little windy.
Speaking of cramps.
What TV station Thursday now yawn so hard I caught a cramp under my chin.
That muscle right under your chin it cramped up on me.
It was like a little spot and I could not I. I'm sitting here rubbing it right like she's rubbing on his cab and rubbing on that.
I've never caught a cramp so I didn't know there was a muscle there.
See what you got to do is that's not enough work.
You gotta tell you gotta tell the news director hey I got I gotta get on TV you gotta let me talk more to work out my neck muscles so don't start cramping up during the newscast.
See this chart right here.
That's that was that's what I was doing.
I was building these charts and after all this writing and stuff I'm just worn out.
I was just that's a lot of information on these charts right here to set it for these games.
There it is.
There's a good look at the chart.
A lot of information by holding it up right.
So yeah, you see that that's a lot of names, stats, and good tidbits from the coaches.
It's a lot of work to prepare for these games, and I just wore myself out.
Fatigue set in fatigued.
So I I feel the pain right there of Thompson.
He's had a tough day and I made a lot of tackles and he's been all over the field.
They got that Cramp worked out and he's able to walk off on his own power.
Now there are only 50 extra points.
Ferry to remain perfect on the day.
Kicks it halfway up stadium.
Carl's future in his near future and another state championship as they've opened up a 22 point lead, how long ago does it feel like it was 12 to 3 Preston at the half?
That's why I said it was just remarkable to me what Prescott was able to do in the first half, defensively to hold Harding Academy to three points.
I've seen a lot of Harding Academy this year and we've had a lot of highlights on fearless Friday, and it's it's usually touchdown or even defensive touchdowns.
They had a period there where they were scoring on defense and offense and just routing opponents and for them to be held to three points.
It was just.
It was really mind-blowing.
And this is the Harding Academy.
I think most people are used to putting up 37 points and like you said one quarter in less than 3 minutes at 118 yards of offense in the first half and in the.
Third quarter in almost 3 minutes.
They've got 200 and.
39 yards of offense and the defense is continue to to sparkle.
They've been sacking the quarterback, causing turnovers.
3 turnovers in the second half, its fairy kicks it into the end zone again for another touchback.
Yeah, they've made the place.
I mean there there was a stretch.
It was three consecutive turnovers.
You add this the sack and the strip down here and it's just defense has been leading the offense and all in the second half.
Four turnovers force led to 23 points scored and that's that's the tale of the game in Big Time games and small time games that.
Better when you're playing who you're playing.
If you turn the football over, that puts you behind the 8 ball source.
Trying to win a game and.
Turnovers have piled up for Prescott.
Harding Academy is certainly taking advantage in the in the depths.
I think 2 is finally starting to show the injuries have taken a toll on Prescott.
And you know, we've we've already told you there without their best player Jalen Hopson.
Out with a broken leg.
But you know, we in this game alone, we've also seen Caleb Harris there there tide in.
He also plays defense.
He's out of the game.
We also saw one of Mary and Dickon's go out of the game.
I don't think he's been back in.
Number five for Prescott he plays cornerback and he's on offense also, so it's it's when you start losing that many key players.
You know it's next man up mentality, but at some point it takes its toll and I think we're seeing that here in the second half.
Yeah, there's one thing that have injuries and have to dip in the depth, but you're talking about your your best players, your best playmakers for Prescott or on the sideline 533 there running backs #4.
I mean those are.
5060 maybe even 70% of your office to production on the sideline, in street clothes and it's it's tough to win games, especially our program, as quality as Harding Academy when you're just not full strength.
And it's unfortunate to see for a team that's 14 and oh, and rolled through the regular season, but the injuries eventually caught up with Prescott and going to be the cause of their downfall.
39 pool looking downfield and it's almost picked off.
Ball falls to the ground Chism with it.
Chisholm was thinking about a pick 6.
They're looking for Trayveon Dickens.
We did account too long, did pull download that when he should have thrown it about there and wait in the next or second allowed.
Harding Academy defensive back Chism to make a break on that play and fortunate for Prescott.
That wasn't an interception going back the other direction.
4th and nine really don't have a choice now down 22.
For three possession game, not a whole lot of time left in this game, so you have to score here.
Need to get the ball to the 30.
Paul Rose is right, we got a flag on the play under pressure, he scrambles.
Needs a break one tackle he doesn't.
He's going to be short and see what the flag is going to get.
Illegal shift for Prescott.
They had two men moving and they did not get reset before the ball is snapped so if your Harding Academy could decline this one, you get a fourth down stop and their offense back out on the field.
There you go.
Arting academies pointing the other way will get the official word.
The defense gets it done.
Yep, that's that's been the story.
This entire second half they forced four turnovers.
They get a turnover on downs there.
Wildcat defenses his jump spark their offense.
They got a chance to tack on even more points.
Gotta figure just we're going to see a lot of running here, right?
Run the ball, run the ball.
Although if they're gonna start doing some run, blitz is here.
You got one on one.
No safety.
Miller Big Hole Miller fighting his way close to that in.
It's also a downfall of the run blitz.
If you don't.
Your initial wave doesn't get there.
There's nobody behind you or breaks up another one as he's over 100 yards now rushing well over 100 yards rushing.
Look at this whole.
Front five, you've got on the charts he spent so much time on West that's that's that's been the key in the second half.
Well, and they have some reserves in that's not on my chart.
That just shows you the depth.
Some players that are missing and that linebacker unit all of a sudden.
That time I saw Yates in and Yates was blitzing and they get caught.
But Yates, that time Yates makes the tackle he came in on another blitz.
Start to end the world for Harding through your love has put up more points but you start to bleed that clock down a little bit to first downs worth about 3 minutes.
As a coach, you never feel like a game safe and out of hand.
3 possessions unlikely that press is going to get the football out many times, but you want to make sure as a coach.
Still 20 seconds on the play clock as they got up there like they're going to snap, and that surprised me a little bit with so much on the play clock and they got up there, lined up, looked over at the sideline and now with 10 seconds they'll turn around and snap it.
Miller straight ahead.
They're trying to rip that ball out the Miller with the ball security holds onto it.
He's down at the 12 price makes the tackle.
End up in a kind of an unbalanced look.
They had four receivers to the near side, two of which were on the line of scrimmage and at least from our vantage point you can see that's an obvious run formation that you're not going to throw us.
Ineligible receiver lined up out there a lot of window dressing for a simple league play for your running back.
Same thing, line up then they look over at the sideline.
10 seconds on the play clock.
Smith all alone.
Looks to his left corner of the end zone, caught by Miller Miller again.
Figure out he was the third receiver from the outside in the slot and he just runs a simple out route towards the back pylon and a perfect strike from Kate Smith, the quarterback.
And that was the first read and simple pitching catch and Miller's got his second touchdown reception of the day.
Quiet first half from Miller.
Not that way in the second half.
Extra point is good tack on another point, Harding Academy increases their lead to 4718 with six minutes and eight seconds ago.
Maybe the coaches were just saving Miller?
That's what you know now you know with it in hand they can joke and kid and say we just wanted to keep Miller fresh for the second half when we really needed him.
A 15 touches.
Here in this second half two touchdown catches is over 150 yards rushing now and.
Biggest game you feed the beast and #8 has been a beast of a problem for the Prescott defense.
The quarterback, of course, always gets the nod in situations like this, but Miller's been pretty important.
But Kate Smith maybe have the upper hand as far as the MVP is.
He's got six total touchdowns.
3 rushing 115 yards rushing for Smith.
Another kickoff sails through the end zone.
There is still bearish mid of Riches Party Academy offense.
You want a copy of the state championship game?
Just go to MM productions Nets.
Place your order.
To get all of mate man game that was last Thursday.
How good will we get the games last Saturday 6A and 7A Bryant Fayetteville.
One of the best games of the year.
Down to the wire.
My torrion Singleton, a sophomore making the game winning catch in the end zone.
It was fun.
That was fun.
Fayetteville a week later still kicking themselves and five turnovers.
Three in the red zone.
Hand off the Dickens.
Dickens cannot get back to the line of scrimmage or they're going to say he did.
Cooper Welch with the tackle and you know I talked to so many coaches throughout the week as they get ready for these games.
And Tuscola was one who pointed out that you'll see Joe T Robinson tonight in the 48 championship against Shiloh Christian and let me make sure I got it right but I wrote it down the the quote was got to play clean, no turnovers.
He wants no turnovers tonight.
Well, you just mentioned all the turnovers in the 6A in the seven a game we we broke.
A state record.
Unfortunately, in the six eight game with nine turnovers.
Well, the seven day game had eight turnovers.
They would have tide a state record if they played a game earlier.
The only team not to have a turnover so far in the state championship games is Pulaski Academy in the five a game.
They didn't have any fumbles or interceptions.
Now they had some turnover on downs 'cause you know they go for it on 4th down.
Harding Academy has a chance to join Pulaski Academy.
Harding Academy has not turned it over so far, and that's key.
I mean it.
It sounds simple, but you take care of the football.
You limit the possessions, the extra possessions for your opponent.
And put yourself in a better situation to win, and you're talking about you know the four.
A game Jeff Conaway told us that he had a chance to pull away from Arkadelphia last week in the semifinals again.
They end up being 5754, but he says when they got the possession of the ball up and touched them instead of scoring again to put a little distance, they turn the football over, prevented them from being able to pull away and this is simple.
Things like that allow a team to to stay in a game.
You give him an extra opportunity and that's how you get beat, especially when you're playing good.
Strong competition.
4th and nine and Prescott schooner wave.
The white flag and go and punish.
Went off the side of his foot, goes out at the 42 so four minutes and 10 seconds to go in this 3A state championship game.
Harding Academy.
Just very, very impressive in the second half.
Thought we might see the heart of a champion in the second half, and sure enough we did here in the state championship game back to back and win it back to back years.
You know how to win?
You know what it's going to take and there was no panic there.
They came out in the second half and got down to doing what they do best.
And it's all paid off.
They knew their offense wasn't going to get shut down for a full four quarters.
I mean they average talking about Harding Academy poster 400 yards.
They were held to about a 120 in the first half and they have absolutely exploded in the second half almost 400 yards of offense as they bring in the reserves.
Running right up the middle, no gain, maybe 1/2 yard.
Luke Cole makes the tackle.
Mention the Trenton all on the Kerry.
So Trenton gets into the game and gets a.
Memory and the state championship game.
Owen Miller, now in at quarterback.
Oh, enhance it off over the left side.
That's **** and still in the game for Prescott.
He makes the tackle.
Chuck Dover showcases the natural state from a Birds Eye view and exploring Arkansas from above.
TuneIn tomorrow at 10 AM 10:30 PM.
Here on Arkansas PBS Owen is a freshman now in at quarterback.
I gotta Owen Miller, Andrew Miller.
It they brothers.
I'm sure somebody from Harding Academy is watching.
They probably tell us.
Wouldn't be a leap no to assume that.
Another handoff right up the middle.
As time continues to tick off at Stretton Hall again.
Seeing some time, of course they've had a lot of 1 sided victories.
Owen Miller 30 or 38 passing 220 yards, touchdown.
It's a.
It's a pretty good ratio.
Trying a field goal here, Harding Academy going to put it away.
This good sportsmanship Asher would like to see him try though at 48 yards it is a state finals record for longest field goal made.
Ah puch kick.
See we can get a little spin on it lands in the middle of the end zone and wind on that one.
Sail into the end zone and press gets the ball.
Coming up at 6:30, you'll want to be back here for the four A state championship game.
Shallow Christian and Joe T Robinson.
We were talking about that a little earlier two years ago.
Joe T beat, Shiloh Christian for their state championship victory, and last year, Shiloh Christian got back and they got a state title.
So you got Shiloh going for back to back titles where Robinson is going for two out of three and this is the matchup a lot of people expected to see when the bracket was finalized after the final week of the regular season.
The two best teams.
All year long, Robinson's only loss was the Pulaski Academy and the non con first week in season Zero Week.
Shiloh Christian's only loss came to a 6A school from Oklahoma.
Laid back in the fire blue.
That was the final week of the non conference and they've been rolling shallow, tested a little bit last week but and how impressive is Robinson blowout win a war in the semifinals?
Most people not shocked that Robinson wanted but maybe not by that margin you mercy rule.
Warren, in Warren, in the semifinals.
That's impressive.
That's impressive, you know.
Shiloh Christian got a little test from Ashdown.
Obviously a big test last week from Arkadelphia, but their their statement win in the playoffs came as they had to go all the way to Wilson, Arkansas to take on a river Crest and picked up a mercy rule victory there 41 to 7 and I was a rematch of last year's state championship game.
Really, really good offense is going to square off tonight.
Doesn't mean it's going to be a shootout.
I think that's the one I had circled for this weekend.
Is as far as what I expected to be the most entertaining and nothing changed my mind just yet.
I don't think that works at the scouting of the whole.
They've gone through the 748.
They they being shallow Christian beating Ashdown and Arkadelphia.
There's a Zachary and you see the speed on he's going to go.
They're not going to catch him.
Zachary, another explosive play from him.
Prescott not ready.
Just to fold up and go home just yet, but Caitlin, Zachary, we've seen his speed on a couple of different occasions and he just ran away from people 60 yards and that's speed all put on showcase there.
Is he just blazes up the far sideline, and Harding might've had the angle, but it quickly disappeared.
Is there's nothing but tail lights from #3.
Make it 4724 and they'll try the extra point.
The new kicker in 165 yards rushing now for Zachary runs of 64 and 60.
Rabadan puts a foot into it and it is good that makes it 4725 with a minute 37 to go.
Having 40 Zachary's been fun to watch, that's his 10th carry for 165 yards and he has one catch for 10 yards.
They're they're calling those with some of those were lateral or was that?
I guess the 10 yard catch that was a down by the end zone so it won't.
It only went for 10 but he ran for about 30 yards.
Yeah, exactly right.
It's he's explosive and you know this was a matchup that we probably would have loved and seen in week five weeks of the season.
Not taking anything away from Harding Academy, but the injuries for Prescott certainly factored into the result today.
Not saying it would have been a different result, but Jalen Hopson is a big reason why Prescott's in the finals, and you erase 18179 yards rushing 30 touchdowns from an offense.
It's certainly going to have a trickle down effect.
No national Signing Day is Wednesday.
Gotta think Zachary is going somewhere to play on Saturdays.
He just has too much speed.
Somebody can use that that matter.
What level it is you know.
I think he deserves to be playing on Saturdays.
There's no doubt about it.
Harding Academy fields.
The kitchen just takes a knee.
Run out this clock and get ready to celebrate.
If they get those Gatorade buckets ready over on that sideline.
Cold, chilly afternoon for Neil Evans to be a soaking wet, but I think he'll be fine with it.
The the heavy windbreaker on there he's not too worried about it and the coaches will tell you they'll they'll suffer for a few few minutes for what it means to take the Gatorade bath.
He's got that that he sees it, he said, he told he told him what's he telling him.
Put it up.
He said go and give it to four.
Let's get it out.
The way to me.
He's like I see what you're doing.
Just going give it to me.
Let's get it out of the way.
He prepares it's not his first rodeo.
Exactly right.
You think they get him again?
They should yeah so fun if he knows it's coming.
I was gonna say he's got that hoodie on and a lot of times that ice gets in that hoodie in the water and later on you're moving around and just down your back Yep.
Need to put the hoodie on so.
I think you got clocks winding down just the tip of the cap to Prescott.
Really, really explosive team.
Really fun team to watch.
14 and one on the season's nothing to.
Put your head down about.
They've got a lot of really good players, really good coaching.
The coach pointed out this senior class there.
This is the first time they played for three straight state championships in school history, let alone win three straight state championships.
So he was very proud of the senior class and what they've been able to accomplish and they they have done it.
And the last 25 seconds will tick off.
But the coaches are already going out to midfield to shake hands.
Harding Academy gets it done.
That's back to back.
To back the 9th state championship in school history, the Wildcats knock off Prescott 47 to 25.
They are your 3A state champions.
44 points in the second half West.
I mean just exploded.
Offensively it started with their defense.
The defense forced four turnovers, got another stop on 4th down and that jump started the offense just enough.
Gave him a short field a couple times and once the momentum started rolling in the way of the red and white guys across the way, they never gave it up and say, steamrolled the Prescott defense in the second half.
And that's why they've coasted to a 22 point victory.
Let's go down the sideline.
Kyle Sutherland as coach Evans.
Coach three points in the first half, 44 in the second.
I think what we talked about at halftime definitely worked and now you guys want your night state title first three peat in school history.
How do you put it into words?
It's obviously it's pretty tough to put into words at the moment I created our players the way they made the adjustments at the half that we talked about, the resiliency.
You know, having two freshman offensive lineman and a sophomore.
It's a big moment for them and I think it showed up in the first half.
But man, they really settled in the second half and just play.
Coach congratulations, go celebrate.
I would love to hear what those adjustments were because it was very effective and it may have just been offensive line.
It's on you here we come exactly.
Just number one offensive line.
Play better, just #2, get the ball to number 8.
That's a pretty smart move to give Andrew Miller the ball he finished up with 157 yards rushing on 20 carries.
What he had 7 carries in the first half and total touches in the first half and he finished the game with 20-30 'cause he had three catches, 35 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
Miller and Smith, your two offensive stars for Harding Academy, and we kind of felt that way coming into the game and it lived up to it, with Harding Academy winning their nights straight.
State or 9th state championship.
Their third straight.
It was impressive what they did, but it can't be lost in translation with the defensive front for Harding Academy did to Prescott, he gave up to 12 points.
The two big plays early but they were able to push the pocket.
You know they were in pools face they forced to.
They hit the quarterback, forced the first interception that first turnover that started the moment in the role the other direction.
6 sacks for Harding Academy.
And like you said the interception was caused by pressure hitting the quarterback as he was throwing it.
Relating it credit for a sack there, but then later on they had a sack near the goal line.
Ball pops out, defensive line recovers it and sets up a short touchdown run from the quarterback.
I believe ran that one in.
Yeah, Kate Smith ran that one in so defensive line was a huge story.
Can't overlook them because they they created and made a lot of plays and that's that's when it started to turn.
I mean you can talk about the adjustments they made offensively, but the first three drives to the third quarter roll.
Short fields, with the exception of the opening kickoff and that third quarter, the defense has set him up for success, and they were able to take advantage of it.
So who would you vote for?
We never voted for MVP in here.
It's a ether Kate Smith or Andrew Miller, right?
Yeah, I think with this the six total touchdowns are going to be a tough to overlook for Harding Academy.
You're talking three touchdown runs and three touchdown passes for Cade Smith 235 yards total offense.
Everybody loves to give the award to the quarterback.
Then I would give it to the defensive line.
But you know, they don't.
They don't.
They only brought one trophy when plaque to give to the MVP.
So I would say Kate Smith takes it home.
But Andrew Miller took over that second half.
There's a Prescott, accepting the runner up trophy and just a great year.
And you think about what they've done the last couple weeks without Jalen Hopson to get to the state championship game and.
Just basically ran out of studs.
You got to feed the stud, right?
Well, when you your studs are all on the sideline at some point it just wears you down.
Harding Academy hoist the trophy.
We'll wrap it up when we come back.

Harding Academy is celebrating a third straight state championship.
They have the trophy and now they're headed over to the student section to celebrate with their classmates Westmore, Bobby Swafford with you, wrapping things up, Kate Smith.
The quarterback was your MVP.
You nailed it, Bobby.
He was effective 9 of 15 through the air, 113 yards, three touchdowns, didn't turn it over, but maybe more importantly, the big scramble to start the offense early in that first quarter of 52 yard run in the quarterback draw.
The 20 yard touchdown runs really the nail in the coffin for Prescott finished with three touchdown scores, and he's going to the hill to play baseball, but he's pretty good football player too.
Well, he'll be back another year that, you know, this was his first state championship game.
Coach talked about his offensive lineman with a couple of freshmen and sophomore.
They had to settle down, but Kate also had to settle down probably, and once he got everything that jitters worked out, he was pretty darn good.
Here's a look at your final stats as we wrap things up.
153 passing yards for Prescott.
They had a couple of big plays.
They actually had more passing yards and Harding Academy, but the big difference in the game, those rushing yards 278 for Harding Academy and a lot of that came in the second half.
Yeah, that's 118 yards of total offense in the first half, and you see that the total numbers there for Harding Academy, the adjustments they made at the break certainly paid off.
They establish the running game.
That's when they got to the big pass over the top, and Harding Academy proved they're the best team in class.
3/8 and now they're going to try to do it in four, and we want to find out who the best team is in for a coming up tonight.
Look at the total yards.
Not a big difference.
It was all about those turnovers.
4 turnovers for Prescott, 0 for Harding Academy.
Next up, the four A state championship game between Joe T Robinson and Shiloh Christian.
630 starts, 640 kickoff.
I'm expecting a great game, two very good teams Jyoti winning that 74A.
It is a dogfight year after year he saw Shiloh have to go through Ashdown and Arkadelphia last week, so shallow knows all about that 74A and how tough those teams are.
Yep, Shiloh Christian, that you're defending state champion, but they've got a bad taste from two years ago and Robinson controlled him.
You know turnovers in that game helped the senators kind of pull away for a state championship over Shiloh.
Christian so that you know they they.
They remember that game.
That's the last time they lost to a school from the state of Arkansas for Shiloh Christian.
So they're they're hoping to to get that back in Eli Wisdom.
Said hey, I'm going to be in the finals three years in a row.
I'm going to win three state titles.
We've got a chance for number 2 for the shallow quarterback.
All right, we're going to take a break for awhile.
We're going to catch our breath, but we will be back here for the four A state championship game at 6:30.
I hope you join us.
It should be a good one final here, Harding Academy knocks off Prescott 4725.
