Fans are filing in for the six day state championship game between Little Rock Christian Academy and Greenwood.
Bobby Swofford I'm once more.
We got two great quarterbacks tonight, maybe two of the best quarterbacks.
The two most highly recruited quarterbacks, it's safe to say in the state of Arkansas.
Yeah.
And everybody thought that these were the two teams were going to be here.
Everybody thought that these were the two quarterbacks we were going to have our eye on all season long.
They didn't disappoint these teams in a certain point.
It's going to be a really good time.
Tonight here at War Memorial Stadium, well, these two teams met in week ten.
Greenwood got that victory tonight.
Little Rock Christian wants to get a little payback.
No doubt anytime you play a team twice and that happens a lot in six, eight, seven, eight in our state.
Any time you get that chance at redemption, we've seen it a lot of times.
That team that lost in the regular season bounces back and wins here in the championship game three with kind of put it on them no thanks to turnovers We'll see if that happens again tonight.
We will take a look at some of the key players, some of the things that need to happen for Little Rock Christian Academy to win or for Greenwood to win.

You know, I think sports are really big to a lot of people and because it is an important part of our fabric and our community.
And the one good thing about what I've seen is it's high quality production.
You know, you think of the small communities all over Arkansas, it's a big deal that they can turn on the TV or DVR or whatever and know they're going to get a quality product.
And so I think it just expands the the focus of what PBS is doing in Arkansas.
PBS is doing a great job.
And I think it's part of education.
The commitment it takes to be a winner on the field is the same as the commitment.
Centennial shows its customers patience, perseverance, commitment and resilience are key ingredients for success, both on and off the field.

Remember, FDIC, we've got about 5 minutes and 15 seconds until kick off between Greenwood and Little Rock Christian Academy.
Two great teams been ranked one, two, sometimes three in the state.
But for the most part, this is the battle we thought we might get at the beginning of the season.
You sprinkle in Polaski Academy, sprinkle in Bitton, But these two teams were the you're exactly right, West one and two in the polls, one and two in everybody's mind.
They thought they would get here, especially once the playoff bracket was set.
They saw Greenwood, they saw play on the opposite sides.
We pretty much expected to see these two teams battling here in War Memorial.
We've taken a look at the Little Rock Christian Academy Warriors.
They're getting the run now.
Greenwood will follow soon.
We are getting close to kickoff.
Let's see how Little Rock Christian Academy made it to the state championship game.
Take a look at the top half of the bracket.
Little Rock Christian gets a bye in the first round and they handle Van Buren.
They're in the second round, 5228.
But that's the matchup.
They're in the semifinals that everybody wanted to see.
Little Rock Christian had to go on the road to Benton and it came down to a fumble the last minute or two of the contest Little Rock Christian Recovers puts the game away.
They take down between 40 to 35 to reach the championship game here.
Greenwood's path all the little similar, but maybe won't quite as tested.
We'll take a look at that in just a minute, though.
But number four in the center of your screens, a big reason why a Little Rock Christian is here.
The Auburn commit Walker White.
He can make all the throws 2900 yards, passing 49 total touchdowns.
He's a tear on the ground in the run game as well.
But he's got confidence his arm was he wants to make all the throws he knows he can make all the throws, but sometimes that gets himself in a little bit of trouble.
Let's check out and see how Greenwood made it to the state championship game for the Bulldogs.
Just like Little Rock, Christian received that first round.
Bye.
That's always so important This time of year it gets you healthy.
And then they ran through their own conference and in the playoffs they took on Mountain Home, a team they beat in the regular season.
They handle business at home and then that longtime rival and a rematch of last year's championship game.
You got to remember when Pulaski Academy beat Greenwood, the Bulldogs got revenge 5626, the final and that one.
And that's why Greenwood is here.
And just like a Little Rock Christian, the quarterback's a big reason why Kayne Archer is a name for you football fans at home to pay attention to.
He's just a sophomore, but he can throw it.
He doesn't have the maybe the cannon arm that White does on the other end, but his accuracy numbers are through the roof, over 70% completion percentage does not make mistakes.
You're the visitors like his going to get called in air.
If you give him air, he competes with that chance.
Lawrence Taylor was passing three interceptions.
Pretty good.
Great ratio 30 to 3.
Let's head down to the field and check in with the third member of our crew, Kyle Dekel.
BOND Yeah, great to be with you guys.
And listen, we have this marquee of a quarterback matchup.
It is worth profiling these stories of these two quarterbacks and diving into them a little bit deeper.
Let's start with Walker White, who, of course, has been a nationally ranked recruit since he was a sophomore.
In fact, when Hue Freese got the job at Auburn, guys, the very first recruiting trip he made was out Highway ten in West Little Rock to Little Rock Christian.
And once Walker White knew that he was not going to follow in the family, it's pretty much he's following the footsteps of pretty much his entire family and go to Fayetteville.
He chose to commit to Auburn over Clemson.
And guys, I talked to his brother, J.D.
White, who's the wide receivers coach of Little Rock Christian, and asked him how Walker's feeling.
And he said, I think if there's one word, it's thankful knowing that this is his very last chance and his only opportunity here to win a high school state championship.
And then there is the golden boy, the guy you guys are talking about there, Cade Archer, who is in the position now as a sophomore that Walker White, who was once seen as see Greenwood behind me running out.
And here they come and talk.
Archer guys, Chris Young, the coach, moved him up as a ninth grader, in part because he knew he could make plays when the play breaks down.
And Eric Cody, the Little Rock Christian coach, said in that same vein, he actually compared him guys to Patrick Mahomes for his ability to extend plays.
That Coach Young also told us he knew as a freshman he was going to play for them and be their quarterback as a sophomore.
So he wanted to go and have that experience and he did.
He got a lot of quality experience last year as a freshman.
Let's take a look at the keys to the game for Little Rock Christian Academy.
Bobby, what do you think they need to do?
They've got to handle the pass rush from Greenwood.
This is a defense that's so opportunistic.
They create turnovers and it all happens with the way that they get after the passer.
18 sacks for Cash Archer, the older brother of Cane, but you can see it on the screen, their 34 sacks as a team they come at you with so hard and so aggressively off the edge as the offensive line for Little Rock.
Christian is going to have to adjust to that and try to slow down that bulldog front.
This Little Rock.
What does Greenwood need to do then to beat a Little Rock?
Christian It's very similar.
It's all about rushing the passer, but they've got to do a controlled and I talked about the effectiveness of Walker White is running the football.
They have to stay in the rush lanes.
They cannot let him get outside the pocket because when he is able to extend plays, make coverages, he'll go man to man for four or 5 seconds.
That's when things really start to break down.
And we talked about the game in Little Rock, Christian Lost in Greenwood this year.
But flash back to the regular season.
A year ago, Little Rock Christian was able to knock off Greenwood on their home field because of the way Walker White was able to extend the things with his legs.
We are set for kickoff.
They've got 12 minutes on the clock.
The teams are on the field and we are ready to kick off this six eight state championship game.
Bolton Stadium felt ready to kick off for Greenwood.
Little Rock Christian Academy will get the first drive and we'll get to see Walker White early in this game.
Nice crowd on hand.
Great weather for a December day.
Are you kidding me?
It doesn't get much better than this December 1st football and we are off Little Rock Christian with the ball around the three pass the 20 and that's where they'll be met by a host of bulldogs falls will be spot at the 24 yard line and we're going to get a first look at this Greenwood defense.
And they were the story late in the first half that led to the win over Little Rock Christian in that Week ten encounter.
They gave them a conference championship turnover score that a school run after the half is what allowed Greenwood to pull away here.
Here's a good look at Walker White.
The Auburn commit in the shot got white first play handoff up the middle not much there for Connor Smith and a go ahead call his name once because we're going to call it a bunch tonight number seven catch Archer crashes from that defensive end spot and makes the play Connor Smith 328 yards rushing for the Warriors.
He has six touchdowns on the season.
You're also going to see a lot of Jackson Ward tonight, 884 yards rushing for the Warriors.
He has eight touchdowns white fakes.
The handoff looking to pass tipped bulldogs got a hand on that ball 21 dropping into coverage.
Eli Whitaker That's what I was talking about.
You Walker White trust his arm and he thought he could drop it over to the zone defense there but the linebacker perfectly in the in the lane and we're lucky that what a pick six looking for Trystan Watson on that play third down and eight for the Warriors Ball is on the 26 they need to get out to the 34 three man rush for Greenwood Why it's going to take off and run with it.
Why makes one not one man miss gets across the 30, but he will be short the fourth and three.
I think we were starting to see Greenwood tip the hand a little bit there.
You saw the two rushers come way outside.
Also, Greenwood had two spies right in the middle of field to control Walker White in the scramble game and they forced the three in out back.
Zimmerman was waiting for Walker White.
He was there keeping all eyes on him.
So three and out for the Warriors on their first drive on Greenwood's punt returners at the 35.
It's a good part fielded and tackled immediately.
Good special teams coverage for the Warriors.
Now we get to see the other one.
Kaine Archer, you will see a lot with this Greenwood team.
They've got to have a thousand yard rusher themselves, but they like to control that 5 to 15 yards.
That intermediate passing game is where Kaine Archer is so effective, he's got four lethal weapons out there.
And Grant corns, Peyton Preston, Isaiah Arrington, L.J.
Robbins, and of course, as you mentioned, Braden Davis to his right, Davis High as it goes over the left side, gets a good push from the offensive line.
He'll pick up five on first down three games on the year Davis on the season 1429 yards rushing 22 touchdowns.
He also has a touchdown receiving so 23 touchdowns on the year quickly to the line of scrimmage Archer hands it off over the left side That'll pick up a first down so so much we talk about in the pre game Kyle talked about it we talked about it here the booth the passing game agreed Well of course they run the ball twice to start the game and 1400 yards rushing up had their total numbers they had 2500 yards rushing this season, 2900 yards passing.
So that's a pretty balanced offense.
Archer is going to keep it this time.
He goes over the left side.
Archer Close to the first down.
He'll be marked a yard short, bring up second and one You know you hear the numbers for Archer we talked about them to what 2200 yards through the air 500 on the ground.
He missed a couple of games still with a broken non throwing hand.
And so those numbers and of course, there are a lot of games he didn't play in the second half because Greenwood during the run broke the sport five yard facemask against the defense five yards added to the end of the run up to the first down.
It's our first flag of the day.
It's a chance for me to let you know who our officials are.
The referee you just heard from and saw is Landon Trusty, the Center Chris Ash, umpire Kim Hankie, our linesman tonight Andrew al-Sheikh outside line, Judge Chad Rego and back Judge Caleb Horton first in ten ball in the 31 Archer in shotgun He's got a receiver motion that's Karnes will pass out the flat to Davis Davis breaks one tackle but he's brought down after a five yard gain.
It's a simple swing pass.
I get the ball to Davis in some space and you have to do it all of your play in this Greenwood football team.
The receivers have great numbers in the passing game, but they're expected to block every play and that's a prime example of the catch by Davis.
He almost dropped it, juggled it a little bit, comes in motion Archer to pass throw it was high but it's caught Khan's with it Khan's in for the score Touchdown Greenwood one receiver jumped up to catch it but it was over his head I think it was actually meant to go to cause the weather it was intended for the short receiver running the whip out on the outside.
That's what Green was going to say it was, but it looked like a perfectly thrown ball to the outside because the outside defender thought he was going to have himself a pick six right over his out reasons and Greenwood strikes first.
Soon as Archer came to the sideline, one of the coaches came over, was talking to it and he walked away with the smile on his face.
So that may have been an accident.
We'll get a good look at the replay in a minute, but first, we got to take a break.

Today at Wendy's, we're focused on what matters.
That's why we've made our hamburgers square.
But we want to experience the delicious taste of our Wendy's hamburgers.
Where's the beef?
Ready for the kick off Greenwood, leading seven to nothing.
One drive, one touchdown for the Bulldogs kick is away.
This filled it out about the one yard line with a rock Christian on the return.
Warriors cannot get to the 20 yard line.
They'll be Mark Short at the 19 great play by Connor Davis to make the play in open field.
Connor Smith on the return.
Here's a look at that touchdown Maybe he to it to cards guards is waiting for it and a maybe is the comeback rout with the little ziggurat underneath it either way it's six points for Greenville they'll take it too well I'll give Cain the benefit of the doubt.
He was throwing it to him.
The first thing I thought was, okay, he's not going to miss a receiver by that much.
White.
Look at the pass.
Rolling out, throws it to the right short hops.
His intended receiver, Tommy, was looking for Tate Collins, but that was Kate Bowman, 11, not 17 second ten for the Warriors.
Little Rock.
Christian, you got to settle in here, maybe try to get the run game going, trying to soften up the three man front four Greenwood.
They're almost daring the Warrio That's what they do.
Bobby handed off up the middle.
Big tackle has a good tackle by the Bulldogs.
Zachary Edwards, the senior linebacker, comes up.
You can see the team speed for Greenwood.
They're playing off those linebackers for probably four or five yards off the line of scrimmage, but as soon as they read Run they were converging and hold that to a gain of two or three.
Jackson Ward had a nice hole and he broke through and it looked like he had something going there.
But Greenwood closed so quickly he only picked up three yards, third and seven, right back to pass across the middle.
He's got his man.
That is Kate Bowman.
Bowman gets the first down ball across the border.
That's where the three man pass rush for Greenwood comes back to bite them.
Miss Walker Whitehead Too much time.
You give those receivers 4 to 5 seconds to get open in the deep.
Prosser does in the past.
Perfect.
See the arm right there too that is on Eli White in shotgun first and ten.
Look at the pass again Throws it out to the sideline to Hogg looking for Collins that time the second time we've seen white kind of flushed out of the pocket to his right and the first one he missed low that one he smells a little adrenaline excited right now it's only the state championship game.
Yeah I'm not against the matter but I'd say there's easily 1010 to 15 here right now thousand people that is why don't second and ten quick pass out the flat catch by Cade Bowman makes one man miss He's almost got the first down mark down at the 50 Great Skaggs thought he had himself an interception.
He tried to jump the route, got there just a little bit too late, allows the hook route to hook up there with the quarterback in the game nine.
That's a great example.
The arm strength right there.
That ball got fat, got there faster than a lot of other quarterbacks will throw it and he might have picked it off on somebody else.
We got a flag down.
I think we had a little movement from our left tackle for the snap ball start up in five yard penalty, third down and the other quarterback, with the exception of maybe Lindsey at Fayetteville, that ball probably is picked off offensive lineman for Little Rock Christian Academy Andrew Lord left tackle Squeak Bashir's at 52 at left guard Parker Dickinson is your center Dawson Rucker your right guard and Clay Smith at right tackle third and six Now costly penalty said a third and one he got six to pick up here Why wants to throw it he does it's high again over his intended receiver incomplete Now the Warriors have a little bit of a decision to make the first time we've seen Greenwood bring in extra pressure.
They brought five and with a six coming up late went May and the man behind it.
And that throw is too tall for his receiver And I think this might be for down territory you need to keep your defense off the field.
After they gave up the quick score, White walked about five yards behind the play like he was talking to himself.
He's trying to settle himself down now.
He's going to punt, backs up a little bit.
Quick kick Greenwood How to play your back.
Ready for it?
Just in case he hits it.
The throw takes a great Greenwood bounce.
Little Rock Christian finally knocks it down at the 42 yard line.
So that's a 13 yard punt and that one backfired.
It's got to be too much foot underneath it and better off going forward in that situation either way.
GREENWOOD Now back on the field after the quick score, great field position.
We'll see if they want to take a shot.
You know, the Warriors defense was overlooked a lot of the season.
They picked some shutouts this season.
This is a time where they need to step up and get a stop.
Fake the handoff.
Archer keeps it, goes up the middle.
He'll pick up four yards on first down the pace of play in which Greenwood's offense operates as well as this one thing that I always forget about until we see him again and again here in the championship game.
It takes a while to get used to how quickly they get back on the ball.
They're going to get a Little Rock Christian Academy for jumping offsides.
The Warriors reporting over at Green would like their Department of Defense five yard penalty.
Second down, the Warriors were pointing like the Bulldogs are doing something on that offensive line.
Somebody saying something.
They were trying to blame it on on the Bulldogs, but it's going to cost them five second and short call it one little quick huddle and a good time to go play action.
Try to be a little Rock Christian over the top.
A lot of motion, a lot of movement.
Archer is going to keep it.
He's got the first down spinning.
Trey Howard makes the tackle, but Arkansas got the first down.
Three quarterback power was there, blocked down pull of the guard of the tackle arounds for the both he followed them and he was open until Trey Howard stepped into the hole made the tackle Archer all alone.
Look at the pass quick pass gets it out of his hands, finds his receiver, he gets it inside the 40 down with the right Davis the catch there excuse me ROBBINS Davis is out there blocking for him the running back we'll see GREEN do that a lot the line up with the four wide receivers and then motion that running back out to a fifth wide receiver in and you try to take advantage of numbers in the passing game second in three Archer it's going to keep it Archer looking for something over that left side nothing there Zach Jordan comes in and makes the tackle It's a great job by Jordan just to get over the top there but the running back motions out to be the lead blocker, they couldn't set the edge.
Little rocks Different Little Rock Christian's defense converges for the first really negative play in this contest for Greenwood, the one to cut it up sooner.
But Preston Davis was there, so he decided to bounce it outside.
And that was a bad idea because Jordan was waiting for two receivers Go in motion, Archer and Shotgun.
We got another flag down.
This one's going to go against Greenwood.
Good ball calls are often cut penalty third down, push them back to third and nine Very well Could be two four down territory.
They may have two downs here to try to pick up that nine yards ball sits at the 42.
They got to get to the 34.
Archer puts Davis in motion.
Archer Quick pass to L.J.
Robbins.
Robbins doesn't get the first down, but he picks up about five.
That'll bring up fourth and manageable.
That's another staple on the Greenwood offense.
Going back to Rick Jones and now with Chris Young at the helm, that tunnel screen and get the blockers out in front, try to get the receiver a lane to go back across the field to get that penalty yardage back.
Now it's fourth and short.
Preston Davis has 116 tackles on the year.
He did a great job avoiding those blockers.
Fourth and three Archer looking over at the sideline Warrior fans on their feet making a little noise.
Davis goes in motion.
We got a whistle, I think.
Greenwood called timeout They did timeout Greenwood blocked the defense of their first time out there half.
We'll take a break with them.
You're watching the Centennial Bank state football Championships on Arkansas.

Arkansas PBS is a place where everyone can see themselves, where everyone can find themselves, where everyone can be a part of something bigger than themselves.
It's more than just All right, big boy.
14 three Greenwood going for it.
Archer in Shotgun.
He goes back to the line, maybe changing the play.
See the emotion.
Archer looking under pressure, trying to find something, nothing there.
The Warriors get the stop.
Was he out of bounds of the throw?
They're going to say it was a completed pass and it looks to be right at the marker that is very close.
What a heads up.
Floyd Greenwood might want to hurry up and run this play because that would be a challengeable play to see if he was out of bounds when he threw it.
And it looks like pretty good judgment.
Little Rock Christian does take the time out or for a measure of excuse me, that's going to give Little Rock person a chance to think about the replay.
Maybe challenge that.
What an incredible play by Archer.
I thought he had stepped out of bounds.
The play was dead.
He somehow got the ball off and found a receiver.
Catch is made very close.
Here's a look at the replay again.
Check out his left foot coming down, stays barely in wow inches gets rid of it.
I think he stayed in the whole time.
Bobby hits.
Look at that throws he jumps and throws it out of bounds.
What an athletic play.
Fantastic play there by Archer with the first down it looks like the play is going to stand What amazing play by the sophomore great field awareness body control technologies to make the throw one better.
Just the wherewithal to keep himself inbounds and move the chains.
I've seen a couple of highlights of him in some of the things he's done.
Incredible throws, just heads up, smart play that would tops them all.
That was fantastic.
That that was a pull.
Just about a six yard gain on fourth down but absolutely incredible First and ten bulldogs get a new set of downs Archer keeps it goes over the left side, breaks one tackle, breaks up the field across the 25 year mark, him down just around the 25.
He picked up nine there and we do have a flag on the field.
Let's see what this flag is for during the run.
Holding offense ten yards from the spot of the foul, three feet first, then got to wipe out that play.
Penalties hurting the Warriors or hurting Greenwood a little bit on this drive, although they were able to overcome the last one thanks to it just a spectacular play by Archer first down at 18.
All is now at the 42 first and 18.
Archer has five wide receivers Archer looking to get rid of it quickly He does those low high but it's caught by great cards.
Taj is thrown out of bounds though.
Mark this one at the 32 picked up about ten on the play Give them second and eight Archer on the year completed 172 passes out of 236 attempts that just shows you how efficient he is 30 touchdowns three interceptions Archer looking to pass again looking down the middle looks left coming back to his right finds a receiver tiptoeing on the sideline that is caught by Peyton Preston at the 25 yard line.
That'll bring up third and very short.
These are the down and distances or green was going to be so successful they speed it up latest run game when they've got so much with Davis and the maybe Archer on the keep at offensive line is so good you don't have a 2200 yard passer and a 1400 yard rusher without those guys up front doing their job and they do it right there.
Davis picks up the first down.
That was a quick play.
They got up there, ran that play very quick.
Gray Earls was trying to say, I had the ball.
He fumbled it.
I took it away.
Greenwood keeps possession first and ten ball in the 21 Archer with three receivers to his left.
He's going to keep it picking his way.
Not much there this time.
I think Greenwood's trying to do what a lot of people say they need to do against Greenwood is run the football, try to get those body blows, get those secondary members of safety, start to creep up.
And that's when you could hit him over the top with a big play.
Greenwood just keeps churning out first down after first down.
This drive continues.
Just 3 minutes left in the first quarter.
Archer, looking to the left, looking deep, has a receiver and great job to get over there by the safety Gabe Schroder the sophomore.
It looked like the receiver was wide open for Greenwood but Schroder comes from nowhere all the way all of the hash gets outside the number two Just get a finger off that and prevent the touchdown I mean when they're balls in the air I thought it was going to be a touchdown.
He if he leads him he lays it out there into the end zone.
But it's hard not just to put it on the body of a receiver who's that wide open.
He by the great play by 21, the ball was a little more to the inside than I think where Archer wanted it.
I'll bring up third Nate Archer has a receiver at the ten makes a catch spin move makes one man miss to the goal line thrown down at the one.
What a move from Isaiah Arrington.
Look put him in the spin cycle Arrington gets the ball down to the one Bulldogs knocking on the door once again.
Check out this move.
Arrington swooped quick Archer diving, reaching across the end zone.
Did he get in?
They're going to say, no.
There it is.
There it is.
Delayed signal.
Touchdown.
Greenwood Archer just elevates over the pile, reaches out.
All the ball ball has to do is touch that white line doesn't have to get across it.
Bulldogs have a two touchdown lead, a methodical drive by Greenwood.
They marched down the field, third down conversion after a third down and a fourth down conversion.
Watch him just reach right there.
It sure did not.
Thought he was in easily and I kept waiting for the call, kept waiting for the call.
Finally, Cole is in and Greenwood looking to take a 14 nothing lead.
Got a whistle?
Well, stop play for just a sec.
The previous play is under further review.
They're going to look at it, see if the ball did indeed fact crossed the plane.
No.
If we have a down the line Camry with where his body fell, the ball tucked in tells me that the ball reached out, would have crossed the plane pretty easily.
You know, I have great eyes.
And from here, you know, a good 70 yards away, I thought it was obvious he had a touchdown.
But it's also a learning moment for a young quarterback because I guarantee you the first thing that he heard from his coaching staff and Chris Young is never preach the football out like that in a pile.
But to me that you see where the body is, the ball is tucked in right there.
He fully extended.
That's all over the plate sometimes.
So side judge, they get blocked out.
You can't honestly see.
But there really wasn't anybody between the side judge in the hall right there.
This is going to be where what with the ruling on the field who's probably going to trump anything not a down the line shot.
Here's Lane and trusty what they call the ruling on the field stance Touchdown.
Yeah to truly know we needed a down the line camera shot there.
or you know maybe we can get the triple-A to invest in some cameras we can put in the pylon.
You think that we could do that.
Well if we do that, we may not be able to pay us.
I don't think we need them now.
I think we can do without them.
Might be the most important thing we do today.
Bode Steinfeld, on to make this a 14 point game.
It's snap good hold good kick 14 Nothing Greenwood Coming up for a big drive for the Warriors.
It's time for them to respond.
Experience the action all over again next week.
You can watch all of these championship games at my air pbs.org slash sport's massive draft coming up for Little Rock Christian.
They cannot afford to fall down more than 14 to a team like Greenwood, who's going to put constant pressure on you as far as putting points on the board.
So this is the first quarter.
There's a lot of time left.
Last we know, but you can't fall down three scores to a team like Greenwood.
We're expecting a high scoring game, a shootout, kind of like the first match up in week ten with these offenses.
Get clicking and put up a lot of points on the board.
But the high scoring game, it's the team who gets a couple of stops ends up winning.
Well, Greenwood's already got two stops right?
And that's one thing to remember.
A quarter and a half from now as Greenwood deferred.
So Christian took the opening kick off with three and out.
And so now Greenwood automatically gets an extra possession to start that second half.
And so it's way too early to start counting those possessions.
But I don't think we can overstate how important this series is for Little Rock.
Christian's offense.
Connor Smith Deep to return the kick, and this was filtered up a little quicker.
I think his name was down, actually, when he fielded the ball.
They blew the whistle.
Dad blew the play dead right there.
Tristan Watson went down to a knee to field it.
High school that's going to be blown dead right there.
So a long way to go for Little Rock Christian.
But it's all going to start with first down, try to get these chains, go and try to get a little momentum going.
Maybe an easy completion for your quarterback because Walker White might be pressing just a little bit.
The best way to get him into the game, let him run the ball a little bit, called a couple of quarterback designed runs.
White shotgun is going to hand this one off good push from the offensive line That'll be the best run of the game so far by the Warriors.
That'll move it up to the 30 gain of six on first down Connor Smith on the carry running a game that running attack can help get everyone settled down a little bit for the Warriors three receivers out to the left may have an offsides call We'll see That's Connor Smith again.
Still pushing, still driving.
Connor Smith picks up the first down good run flag is down on that far side I think they'll decline that and take the run in the first down.
I think he picked up about five yards anyway yards after contact have been big on the last two plays for Little Rock Christian.
We'll have to wait to see if this one stands though.
Looks like he picked up six during the run.
Hurts the foul facemask against the defense 15 yards added to the end of the run.
First down no offsides penalty.
Better yet for the Warriors we've got a facemask.
A rock Christian had just six yards rushing before those last two carries and now they move the chains.
And thanks to the 15 yard penalty, they're on Greenwood side of the 50.
For the first time, Smith was just blowing people up, and one of those people was his own offensive lineman, drove him, got past his offensive lineman, then hit a Greenwood Bulldog, pushed him back a couple of yards tough running by Smith Walker to throw through that one early before his receiver was even out of his break, throw it a little short, popped it to his receiver and just didn't put enough on their head.
Plenty of time Pressure hadn't gotten to him just yet.
Just a errant throw for White who's now started this contest.
Just two of six through the air looking for Gabe Schroeder on that throw.
Gay will lead the game new receiver in second and ten ball is the 48 pistol formation Walker hands it off Jackson Ward nothing.
He'll lose a yard he'll lose two.
Great job to Set the Edge by Eli Whittaker, a senior linebacker, 21 and Blue made sure he kept outside leverage, wouldn't allow the Little Rock Christian running game to get to the outside.
He finishes it off of the play in the backfield.
Third and 12 Warriors going backwards.
White puts Smith in motion.
He lines up wide right white.
Looking back, nothing under pressure, gets rid of it and has to throw it away.
I don't bring up fourth and 12th.
The pressure was coming from the backside there and if you're a little rock Christian, you think you get five or six yards, maybe you go forward on fourth down, but now fourth and 12, the likely appalling situation.
Play a little field position.
See if you can't pin Greenwood deep, put them in a tough situation and try to get the ball back, Put your defense out on the field and try to get you a stop for the Bulldogs coming off late.
They weren't sure if he was going to be able to get off three time out, the second time out of the hand.
Fans would have thought their quarterback was going to be 25% completion percentage through the first 11 minutes.
What are his numbers right now?
Two of eight passing for 28 yards.
Rough start for Walker White attempt to just one rushing attempt has white that's five yards Meanwhile Greenwood's clicking and that makes matters even worse for the Warriors.
Your offense is struggling.
Greenwood's clicking.
It's 14.
Nothing with 59 seconds to go in the first quarter.
Greenwood doesn't have anyone back deep Right now.
They're playing Prevent right now.
They may not be convinced that this is going to be a punt, but it is white punts.
It bounces around the 20.
It's a decent bounce is still rolling inside the ten to the nine to the eight.
The official throws beanbag a little bit further off.
It may have hit one of the warriors to get a kind role.
Let's see where they market.
They're going to mark it all the way back up to the 16 were first contacted by a Little Rock Christian player.
Otherwise we'd all be out there swatting and get a little extra.
I thought I thought he touched it, but we had to keep going.
I guess in a case like that.
Bobby, if you touch it in the deep, the punt return team could have come back there and picked it up.
And crazy about those.
You don't have to worry about the muffed punt either.
You can go back there and try to pick it up even if you drop it and the other team recovers, it's still a dead ball.
He went back in business.
They're going to run it on the first play, big hit Davis with it over the right side.
He gets it across the 20.
Preston Davis on the other side delivered the big blow.
Good hit Davis on Davis picked up five on that play all bulldogs here in the first quarter last 20 seconds maybe the last play of the quarter.
Archer puts Preston in motion quick pass out the flat, gets it out to Robbins Roberts fighting for yards finally out of bounds right around the 21 no gain on the play in the win the clock and that's going to do it for the first a great first quarter if you're from Sebastian County, not so much if you're a fan of the fourth quarter.
Greenwood in this one so far.
Stick around.
Second quarter coming.

We're back here in the six day state championship game is take a look at the tonight's Arkansas PBS student athletes of the game.
That's Walker White, a quarterback from Little Rock Christian 4.0 GPA.
As we've mentioned a couple of times.
Twins go to Auburn, play football.
That's pretty good.
Combination of talent on the field and in the classroom.
Congratulations to Walker White and that's Arkansas PBS student athlete of the game.
He's Bobby Swafford on once more glad you're with us all green ward in the first quarter 14 nothing Bulldogs lead they're looking to add more Archer back to pass got a little screen pass but it didn't go anywhere Davis catches it and there were two warriors waiting on a great job to recognize that and make the play.
Cooper Jones number seven comes up and makes the play, shuts that one down and now forces the first Greenwood punt of the contest, Addison Valley.
There two had a little help.
They get the first part.
So the Warriors defense did exactly what they needed.
Yeah, there were some thoughts of maybe going forward on fourth down if you had a successful third down play for Little Rock Christian Academy, they didn't get it, so they had a punt, pinned them back deep.
Now they get the part and they get the ball right back.
Should get a pretty good field position depending on this return.
Punt lands inside the 50.
Take the Warriors bounce.
Now it's going to roll back towards the 50.
So they're going to get the ball right back to where they had it pretty much a wash.
They're their Little Rock.
Christian's defense finally gets that first stop, and now we'll see if their offense can get something going.
Walker White out there giving slaps to his teammates, trying to rally the troops, starting to fill out pretty nicely.
That's the Fayetteville Bulldogs over in the far corner from us playing in the 78 championship game.
You recognize that purple from all the way over here?
Jackson Ward in the backfield, a walk, Walker White and a play.
Archer That's unreal.
Take a look at this replay Archer times the snap perfectly dives inside or slants inside and he almost took the handoff from wide himself.
It's an outstanding play Fights off the block.
The pulling guard doesn't even have time to get over there.
That's how quick Archer is in the backfield.
He'll lose three on that play second and 13, so active from his defensive end All right Rolls right Throws it because he threw that away.
Yeah I think he threw it away He saw Archer again spin back out kept his contain and that's three times we've seen white roll and they've been unsuccessful all three times I understand trying to move the pocket.
It gets a pass rush that had 34 sacks on the season coming into it but the the rollout game not there.
So just this point for the Warriors third and 13 White's got three receivers to his right rolling right looking back across the middle throws it deep to the right sideline What a throw what a catch First down Trystan Watson right when we say the rollout game's not working, he throws that dime honest you're not going to see a better throw at any level than that.
Walker White with a perfect pass, really good coverage, to be quite honest.
West is right there.
Only places a receiver can catch it first, it's up 25.
Yeah, that was like a 28 yard throw actually further because he was struggling to his right, Christian to the ground.
Good run.
But there's a flag down there going to get one of the receivers for a holding pole warriors got a little momentum and once again a flag we'll see what it was.
But while it may have been a holding call during the run, holding on the offense ten yards from the spot the foul Griffin first down they are going to get lucky it's from the spot of the foul which was almost at the marker maybe even pass the marker so it shouldn't cost them too much yardage.
Connor Smith has been so impressive tonight.
This is the second time he's just broken tackles, keeps the legs moving.
There's going to be your hold right there.
Yeah, The shoulder had a hold of the shoulder pad.
It was two.
Now I'm trying to come back and make the tackle.
Grabbed him by the shoulder right in front of that side.
Judge So it's first at eight.
Walker is going to keep it.
He's fallen back right up the middle, crossed the 15th.
He'll be marked right at the 15 pick up of eight on first down.
That should give him the first down.
It does.
They're moving the chains.
You're six foot four, £220.
You ought to be effective in the run game.
And really nice job of getting downhill there from Little Rock Christian offensive line created Lane for quarterback and they got another first down white fakes the handoff he's looking to throw passes as has his receiver Touchdown warriors Kade Bowman with it That's his 12th touchdown reception of the year Warriors cut the lead in half kind of over out there for Little Rock Christian and another Greenwood defender undercut the route thought they were going to have a make a play on it but a perfect throw right over the top of the green one defense and a Little Rock Christian gets a much needed answer score and catch that green What leading half.
Warriors getting their personnel on the field.
They're all set for it Grayson Hoover on to attempt the extra point.
That's a movement.
Got a flag.
Greenwood jumped in It caused a Little Rock Christian Academy to jump see what the call is.
I think they're going to call offsides encroachment.
Landon Trust is talking to Coach Co. You see what he wants to do.
They're bringing the offense back out here.
They're going to move it to the one and a half encroachment defense after this is to the goal proper four point.
We've got a six foot four, £220 quarterback.
It's hard not to say, okay, we'll take it from the one and a half and try quarterback draw something of the sort we saw at the two man game earlier today.
They tried this exact same thing.
You got stuff for three yard loss, so it's never a guarantee.
Connor Smith has been very impressive, too.
Running the ball.
You have some options here not a receiver.
Emotion walk is going to keep it.
He looked like he had it when he had his feet tripped up.
Riley White makes the play and stops Walker.
Why try all the motion to the right side and White's going to try to sneak it back to the left hand.
Riley White was the only player between him and the goal line, and he makes the play.
Looks like it.
Here's a replay.
I thought he was going to get it.
He gets tripped up.
I think he would be okay.
Caleb Gardner to the goal line.
What a play.
Riley White just gets a hold of the foot.
But a good shot of Coach Co. You talk of Walker White.
There you see Riley White after making the nice stop of the two point conversion.
So it's 14 to 6 and you call that Bobby We did.
We saw it earlier today and the two way game ball with the one and a half.
Well let's go for two didn't work.
I understand the rationale of it.
I've never been one to like to chase points really early in the game.
Take the extra point, keep it a touchdown, typical seven point game because you never know what's going to happen.
And now you fast forward to the end of the game.
Say you're still down eight, you've got no chance to actually win a contest.
You could only extend it.
Grayson Hoover will get his chance to kick the ball now after his pull back off on the extra point, he puts a foot into it and that is a deep ball right at the goal line.
Greenwood's going to return it all past the 2025 Great Cornes on the return, Barnes gets the ball out to about the 28, get to share the load so much on the offense.
These receivers, they get the ball and special teams.
They're not going to give up an opportunity to get a run back.
Nice job of about 28 yards.
They're cards went right to the goal line and he couldn't move back any further because of the ball crosses the goal line in high school it's an automatic touchback he got to make sure he caught it before it went across the goal line.
Purpose of the nearside warriors with some late substitution archer in shotgun Quick pass out gets it to Errington Harrington making guys miss he swung out of bounds so shifty zero and navy we saw the spin move earlier That's just a quick screen that's almost a long handoff If you would have got the two receivers out there blocking pick up for five yards, set up second and short Archer hands it off it's Davis Davis falls forward.
He picks up about four on that play Just another simple little play they were able to get forward that'll bring up third and two big big play here for Little Rock Christian's defense they can get to a three and out after their offense put some points on the board be huge for that contingent on the far side Archer hands it off Whoa Davis spinning trying to break tackles He broke one but couldn't break the second one and the Warriors defense holds Preston Huffman was the second man there to clean it up Nice job defensively to stack them up in Little Rock.
Christian looks to force the three and out and that'll give their offense a chance to get the football back.
So for the second straight drive, Greenwood will be forced to part Warriors hoping to return this punt and get some good field position.
It is a high part to land right around the 38, bounces backward and the Warriors will take over at the 40 yard line.
Maybe I'll go some out yards for a score.
It is 3014 to 6.
Greenwood trying to hold on to their lead.

Take over at the 40 Quick Handoff.
So once again, Connor Smith just breaking tackles.
Smith picks up five looked like he is stopped He will stop for about a two or three yard gain kept moving forward picks up five on the play Jackson ward in the backfield now almost they did they got Greenwood a jump Bobby you said earlier they had timed up Walker White's cadence and just met him in the backfield Defense five yard penalty resulting in a first down Think what you saw right there was a change in his cadence.
Greenwood jump They got him keep the defense off balance recognize a little skills self scouting by the Warriors pick a free five yards in a first down It's been a pretty clean game not a lot of penalties up to this point.
White has Jackson war to his right three receivers to his left.
One of those receivers comes in motion why it's going to keep it he wants to run with it and he has met he breaks one tackle but then there were three more bulldogs waiting on him.
Archer was the first one in there to stop the momentum for White when the rest of the Greenwood Defense, they're to finish it off 18 right there in the middle of it.
Josh Allen, a whole host of bulldogs.
Now it's second and long for Little Rock Christian.
You saw how big Walker White was there, though.
I mean he just kind of pushed case cache Archer to the side and avoided that tackle, but it disrupted the play enough to where his teammates could get there and make the play to see some more Connor Smith averaging almost seven yards per carry second 12 that pass was knocked down that was tipped at the line of scrimmage.
Third and long obvious passing situation here.
The Greenwood defense, I'd expect to see them rush just three dropped those linebackers into the middle and force Little Rock Christian to throw the ball down the field.
I expect Espy to first time around one or two, and it was last year too.
But Walker White was able to pick up several third and long slide third and 15 with his feet four times, third and 15 or longer against Greenwood.
Last year he picked up on the ground.
White looking to pass does have a spy.
He's going to take off.
But they're all looking at him.
He's not going to get it.
He gets a lot of it.
He picked up probably about six or seven on the play.
It's going to be fourth down, fourth in short enough.
They have to decide that's enough.
But roll the dice and go for you've got all the momentum.
Your offense is starting to click your defense is playing well.
The last possession or two at Roll the Dice from Coach Cohu right here, a fourth and four.
They got to get the ball to the 40 white four of 12 passing through the air 71 yards.
Connor Smith averaging almost seven yards, carry over.
They're going to take a timeout time out talk about it Little Rock Christian it's their first time out of the half.
they were close to this area last time in the first quarter.
You remember they punted away and pinned Greenwood back.
They forced Greenwood apart and that's when they got good field position getting right at midfield.
Then they marched down and scored their first touchdown.
You got two options here.
Try to pin them back deep again on it.
See if your defense.
Defense has gotten two stops in a row from Greenwood, Greenwood back to back punts.
So your defense is playing a little better, but fourth of four very manageable, especially with Walker.
You could almost run that same type of play again.
This is where it's dangerous because you're taught as a defender to play the sticks, play that fourth and four, play the yard to gain with it being just a short intermediate.
The short passing game.
You got to respect the big arm of whites can't let anything over your head.
So that gives the possibilities for Little Rock Christian a little more than a traditional maybe fourth and long three receivers are going to come to the right white with it.
He's going to keep it.
He's going to run with it.
White did not get it.
He's a yard short.
I like the play call, but it's his execution by Greenwood.
You're only seeing five players in the box for the Greenwood defense.
The numbers tell you to run the football.
I think it's a really good play call, but Greenwood just makes the play at 44.
Yeah.
Caleb Garner, No.
One.
BLOCK Garner, you mentioned it, five of five.
So there should have been a hat to pick up the middle linebacker, but there was nobody there to block him and give Garner credit.
He came in low.
If you try to tackle Walker wide up high, he's going to bounce off of him.
Ball forward to get the first down.
But Caleb Gardner came in low and brought down Walker White Archer looking to pass Archer scramble and gets rid of it incomplete and a dangerous throw there Archer coming towards the line of scrimmage throws back towards his body.
The receiver can't make the play they're trying crossing or outside about two or three yards, just beyond the line of scrimmage, hoping those defenders would run into each other.
Little Rock Christian did a nice job of passing those routes off.
Second ten for the Bulldogs.
Archer's got five wide receivers empty backfield receiver in motion That was Davis Archer gets the pass away completes it It's going to be just short of the sticks and they're going to market forward.
They're going to it's going to be close to the first down what officials right at it.
The other one's at the 50.
They're going to market on the 50 and now they're going to move it forward.
They'll just short.
But you're looking at third and minimal offensive line like that.
Davis I just had that offer.
Archer right up the middle.
Been pretty successful in third and short today.
Orange on that catch.
Give him another reception Handoff up the middle That's I think he's got it I think the way they're coming in I think he's got it didn't need much he didn't get much but that's enough to get the first down and with the change Davis moves the chains Greenwood up quickly.
It's a 12 of 14 pass He's COOPER James it came in there Cooper Jones excuse me made the tackle first and ten they'll give it to Davis again.
Davis picks up about three balls forward.
Give him another yard quickly back at it again.
Moving fast, picking up the pace Archer Davis again.
Davis has a hole.
Davis across the 30 to the 25 brought down slow down out of bounds but Jake Field on the tackle heart say the Greenwood offensive line wearing out that Little Rock Chris in front that's the first big when they popped comes Greenwood again they're at the line of scrimmage but look at the replay as Davis breaks free Archer's ready to go Archer got to keep we had a little razzle dazzle there.
That was corns.
It took the snap cards was coming this way.
He was going to pitch it part of the snap ball start offense, five yard penalty first.
Now let's go down the sideline, check in with Kyle real quick.
Well, guys, I was listening in to the Little Rock guys.
I was listening into the Little Rock Christian offensive meetings and they are Little Rock Christian defensive meetings as well.
GREENWOOD Offensive meetings and both sides talk about the exact same thing, line of scrimmage game right now.
In fact, it's the only thing that both sides were talking about.
Archer scrambling around breaks across the 25 to the 23 yard line.
But one thing that Coach Young told us leading up to this contest was really interesting.
The first quarter, you're going to see some new things and some wrinkles that both sides haven't done all season of the other side hasn't seen.
But you're going to start to settle in your play 13 games.
You are who you are at this point.
Really start to figure out who you are.
And to me, that's Greenwood running the football.
So to get the play action pass, Archer picks up six on that play, gives it to Davis.
Davis met violently at the 25 yard line He's going to lose a yard or two It's rather to spread out handoff and try to get the defense overflowing on the Little Rock Christian didn't bite for it and the time of possession still pretty even through this contest.
The numbers, all the yards have started to flatten out.
Greenwood 172 yards of offense but he shoots 39 here Archer and shotgun roll to his right looking for a receiver looking back wants to throw it back now he's going to scramble looking finds his receiver that's Arrington.
Arrington breaks free he's in for the score.
Greenwood Back in the end zone.
Arrington can make a man miss in a phone booth, just another juke off the defensive back, and he puts it into the end zone and a great job by Cain Archer to extend the play.
Everything's going out to the right side.
He rolls back to the left before he makes the defender Miss and Arrington, what can you say has put the foot in the ground?
It's the oil with the ballistic or the right stick and jukes.
It to the end zone to the shoulders there by Archer.
He squares the shoulders, even though he's running back to his left.
A difficult throw to make gets his squared.
And that money's right on the target too.
Arrington very impressed with Archer extra point attempt high snap they get it down kick is up is good so Greenwood extends their lead to 21 to 6 4 minutes and 9 seconds to play well we take a half time break so Greenwood responds after the Warriors respond, their defense gets that key fourth down stop on Walker White forces.
The turnover on Downs and Greenwood takes advantage of the shorter marches down.
Look, they get back on the board.
The efficiency of the Greenwood offense is the one thing that jumps out at this first quarter and half 13 of 15 passing the pace at which they do it.
You know, they're not they're not really stretching the field vertically, but they're putting so much pressure on the coverage from Little Rock, which they haven't got a ton of pressure on Archer in the backfield.
That's why he's got time to sit there and pick apart is the defense.
But the play of Arrington especially with the receivers getting yards after the catch, that's one thing that Little Rock Christian is going to have to slow down here in the final two and a half quarters.
They want to get back into this contest.
Trey Howard wants to return this kick.
He flip flop sides high kick short, field it at the 22 yard line not much there across the 25, maybe to the 26 yard line.
Zach Edwards right there he doesn't get credited with the tackle, but he's the one that forced the return man to stop and try to change directions.
Any time you stop your momentum on a kickoff, there's just too many jerseys of the opposite color coming at you.
Dump him right there.
All right.
Warriors need to respond here.
They need to get a score before the half white ready to get to work.
All right.
Keeps it.
That's a good decision by white to keep it.
I thought he was going to hand that off.
And Archer again, almost took the handoff.
White able to on that option Reed keeps it picks up about seven they're going to give him eight second and two to see the size they're just breaking through tackles like to throw quick out completed that'll be a first down they'll move the sticks to long throw west just shows the arm tell you don't think of a five yard pass being all that effective or an indicator of how good a quarterback is.
That's just a perfect pass the quick out loose change three Howard with the catch ball at the 40 white fakes the handoff under pressure White can't get out of it Sack Great job by both defensive ends seven and 42 archers one from Brandon checks the other and they just meet at the quarterback, get checks, look at that replay.
You'll just see Archer just go through that outside shoulder of the left tackle, pushes him all the way back and finally gets to the quarterback.
Warriors coaches were all over still all over the side.
Judge I'm not sure what they're unhappy about white roll into his left white makes the throw towards the sideline that's incomplete Look at a Kate Bowman little Christian college for a flag a lot of contact at the top of the route there.
The throw is too far out front.
Another third and long the Warriors have been in this situation far too often in this first half, third and six.
Now two of six on third down.
It's Christian.
3 minutes, one second to go in the first half.
Be careful who not to give the ball back to Greenwood.
He's got a quick strike offense White rolls to his left white now tucks it and he is going to be brought down again And guess who it was Pass Archer Archer there again flag comes in late so white with the push that replay is and we'll take a look this is going to show you the speed that Archer has you see the numbers 18 sacks but the closing speed of number seven right there to not only track down white, but get on the outside edge, stop that momentum and allow the rest of his defense to get back there.
And I think this is some frustration boiling over at the end of the play.
We'll see if Greenwood started it.
We saw White push the defender getting off the pile after the play.
First, the foul unnecessary roughness against the offense bounces half the distance to the goal to downtown.
Fourth down.
I don't want you have to punt the football west.
The penalty is going to move you back inside the 15.
Reed was going to have great field position with more than enough time to go down and score discipline and check there for the sack.
Yeah, Bobby Green was going to have great field position here and they should.
Plenty of time clock is ticking at 240 white two point line drive point could be returned and is going to be returned one tackle broken next one they're not much for cards but at least he fielded it off.
The shoe in the process probably saved some yards just by fielding the punt and keeping it from rolling and he tackled out of his shoe.
But nice return and great field position going up for Greenwood if you love seeing these high school sports championships live and also on demand, consider making a gift to Arkansas PBS to the cars they want to come off the field.
He put that shoe on quick.
They want to get to work here Archer empty backfield quick pass as his receiver a little low but he catches it Payton press him with the catch He'll pick up nine on first down.
I want to say this because the offense is so good for a little Rock Christian, but this feels like a must win drive for their defense.
You can't fall down 28 six going into the half handoff Davis Davis has the first down Davis gets across the 40.
Davis was the one delivering blows that time it was the shoulder moves the chain again Greenwood just marching it on the ground through the air 11 first downs now for the Bulldogs 200 yards offense here in the first half Garland Davis credited with the tackle time out Little Rock Christian it's their second time out of the half probably that's exactly what you're talking about right there.
That's why they call that timeout.
The Warriors realize how important it is to get a stop.
They're going to regroup, talk to their defensive, or try to somehow muster up a stop first and turn the ball in the 39.
Can't afford to give up more points.
Greenwood Of course, gets the ball to start the second half.
That's why this drive is so big.
If you double dip here.
Bill Belichick always talked about that middle for the last 2 minutes of the first half.
First 2 minutes of the second half.
If you give up points here, you're down 28 six.
Greenwood gets the football back.
They've got a chance to put this game away.
Well, there's an opportunity for Greenwood if they use the clock wisely, they convert on their next two possessions.
Next time Walker White has the ball in his hands, he could be down 35 to 6.
Can't put yourself in that situation.
It all starts on this first down.
Well, you've got to find a way to to get off the field.
If you're this Little Rock Christian defense.
Archer has three receivers to his right.
He's going to send Davis in motion.
He'll it but it's tipped That's a good start for Little Rock Christian I think that was great earls that got his hands up a self scout Greenwood A little bit fake motion the running back out to a five wide set that ball's coming out quickly so nice job by Little Rock Christian to get their hands up.
If you can't get to the quarterback, that's next.
Best thing, second and ten.
That's it Christian bring much pressure either kind of can stay in content with that three man front Archer gets Davis over to his right Archer looking now he's going to scramble with it gets out right looking down field unloads it throws it away A smart move there by Archer Nobody open it really nice job by the secondary for Little Rock Christian they have to cover for six 7 seconds as the plays extended to keep up with the Greenwood receivers.
Now it's third and long for the Bulldogs.
That's a great angle that we're seeing.
Archer nothing there so he just throws it into the sideline.
A lot of people think that all the big plays come when you see on the highlights or the golden touchdown sometimes just throwing it away, the smart play, some of the best plays you can make.
Third and ten.
So big play for the Warriors.
Robins goes in motion, Archer walking, throws it across the middle, finds Harrington.
Harrington makes the catch he.
Short of the first down Robins may have turned upfield a little too soon.
They moved one of the men in motion, and he didn't get set in time because they were still far receiver, wasn't on the line of scrimmage.
So he was taking a step forward to reposition and they sent the man in motion.
So no legal shift on the offense.
It's five yard penalty previous repeat, third down.
I'm with you though.
The receiver did look like he was kind of inching towards that line right before the snap.
It's got to be pretty blatant for for that one to be called.
So the third and 15 great chance here for the Warriors, possibly for support I would think if Green would doesn't get much here, they play it safe and punt it, almost even slow it down.
The clock's running, maybe run this play clock down, make sure these are a high percentage pass and make a little recursive.
Either burn that time out or make a decision.
Davis goes in motion again.
Archer, across the middle, has a receiver wide open.
He dropped it.
Peyton Preston doesn't drop many.
That one hit him in the hands, maybe slightly.
A hair behind him had to slow down for it, but he hit him in the hands.
He would have had the first down.
And Greenwood will punt.
If you're a Greenwood fan, you're looking at that.
We're like, we could have just maybe just put this game away.
You're right, maybe a little bit behind.
But Preston knows that's probably a ball he's got to catch.
At minimum, it's a first down.
He might have put himself in the end zone.
If that ball's out in front just a little bit.
Snap low, but no problem.
PUNTER He gets it away.
High kick lands at about the 18 great bounce for Greenwood still rolling they're going to down at right around the eight yard line 56 seconds to go in the first half and the Warriors have to go 94 yards if they want to try to get something going.
So the big task coming up for Little Rock Christian, but the defense did their job.
So at minimum, you're down 15 going into the break assuming you don't turn the football over here and a disaster happened.
So that's what your defense needed to do.
Now, maybe your offense can can hit a big play and give themselves a chance to put themselves on the board before intermission.
Greenwood's going to play it safe.
They've got their safety back, probably 20 yards.
Walker, Quick throw out and the flat has his receiver breaks.
One looks like he may have the first down.
BOWMAN With it, they are not moving the chains.
They're going to say it's second down and it's now they're moving the chains.
I thought he had the first down all the way.
Move those chains.
Clock stopped since he got out.
BOUNDS 50 seconds to go.
A lot of cushion on these receivers Why has receiver at the 40 can't make the catch.
That one was a perfect throw.
The catch has to be made with the seam route right up.
The numbers are inside the numbers there for Little Rock Christian.
But Trey Howard just could not bring that in and that's one he definitely wants back.
That would been one of those chunk plays that they need to get a drive going wide again.
To pass as a receiver out route catches it right at the sticks.
Tristan Watson On the catch.
Malcolm Just a little short, so it's going to be third one quarterback draw here just to get the first down.
Warriors have one timeout left, Warrior set three receivers to the right handed off.
Just try to get the first down.
They get the first down, they'll move the sticks, they'll stop the clock while they reset the first down marker ball's mark at the 3037 seconds to go quickly to the line of scrimmage white with it looking under pressure Gasol avoids the tackle now he's going deep has a receiver across midfield and then is caught warriors with the big play that they need It comes Jacob Field with it field catches it ball across the 50 they're going to market at the 4443.
Now the 40 to White does a great job of avoiding the sack by Archer Look like he had a little something to say after the play as well White Look at the pass again quick pass out in the flat that time the Warriors could not bring it in Greenwood had seen that play enough, almost picked it off White and Archer going at it verbally the official step in there and try to calm that down Cade Nelmes knocked that one down, got his hands on it.
He was thinking interception show the respect that they have for Archer.
I know we're talking about it amongst the tackles.
Only man on man on the guard.
Swing it over here to give a little help on every play shoulder fake white with it still looking nobody now nobody those are the cross the middle dangerous throw falls incomplete may have been the best thing that could have happened right there.
It's dangerous Throw any time you throw back across the field across your body.
More times than not, that's going to end in disaster.
If your quarterback looking for Jackson Ward, 14 seconds to go.
Well, Christian still does have the one time out left.
They don't have to get out of bounds or get past the first down marker on this third and ten movers got a leg.
He's a good kicker.
Good.
Throw out the flat court by Cade Bowman late hit out of bounds.
They mark it down at the 25.
That's going to move the ball even closer after this 15 yard penalty.
We're on the outside receiver on a streak and they just bring him out around underneath him wide open spot and then the deep flat and you're at the half this.
It's on a late hit after the play.
Personal foul unnecessary roughness.
Yes.
The defense has the distance from the end of the play.
First down, but the ball's at the 24.
That tells me they're going to move it to the 12.
Here's a look at the late hit.
Definitely a late hit.
And the steps to paint the sideline.
And now Little Rock Christian, 9 seconds left from the 12 probably has a chance at two shots at the end zone.
I'd say you got to plays.
This will be a huge momentum change if you think that Little Rock Christian could drive it 90 plus yards and as little time as they did get a time out on the field.
Greenwood, I think, wants to talk about this time out.
Greenwood The third and final time out of the half.
This is a territory.
You spread it out a little bit, see where the linebackers go.
If one of the linebackers, if you will take your running back here to Ward or Smith into motion, that linebacker goes with them in that middle of the field is open.
Walker wide up the middle could be a good play.
That's a good idea.
But you got to really have to pay attention to if you're a little Rock Christian, you got to make sure you get two shots at it.
You can't try to extend the play or run the football and have an eight or nine second play and not get that second shot at the end zone.
So a quick throw and a quick time out or you've got to make sure you stay alive and I'm with you.
If you're Greenwood, you're keeping a spy.
If not two on Walker, one at all times.
They're getting it pressure with just the front three.
Those ends are crashing so hard and pushing those tackles for Little Rock Christian right back into the lap and walk away.
I don't think really bring pressure.
So maybe this is where Greenwood drills it up.
We've only seen him once or twice bring more than four pass rushers.
Really change it up here, give White a different look with nobody in the backfield help attacks Christian Watson at the top of the screen had something to say to walk the walk across the middle.
It is incomplete.
He was looking for a receiver coming across the middle.
They were unable to hook up looking for Bowman again.
They're going to trot the field goal unit out like to call.
Go ahead and take the points, take the momentum.
You get the stop down here, your defense does and your offense marches 80 yards to put yourself in this position.
Try to take the three points, cut the deficit to 12 going into lock.
It was a little high and behind the receiver he needs to be led so that he could catch it and run in those last five yards.
He had a court that he would have been tackled and it had to burn the time out quickly.
Good snap, good hole.
Kick is up.
Kick is good.
Got a flag, though?
This is going to be one or two things.
It's either going to be contact with the deep snap or leaping.
If he made contact with an offensive lineman trying jump over the pile, this could be a half the distance, a 15 yard penalty.
And then maybe Little Rock Christian takes the points off the board and tries to shot the end zone as the clock has now expired.
Hoover's kick was good personal foul hurtling against the defense.
The penalty's declined field goals good happen Great explanation there by our referee Landon Trusty.
So we're going to go to the half Greenwood 21, Little Rock, Christian nine.
They have a little momentum after driving down the field.
Let's see how Greenwood's feeling about things will head down to the sideline and check in with Kyle Bell.
Gives a second read on Coach here, guys, as he's making his way this way, I think he's got to feel pretty good, at least about holding him there to a field goal.
Coach will grab you here real quickly before you head into the half.
You held a field goal there.
And I think for the most part, you got to like how you're getting after walk away.
Yeah, defensive play really well.
Missed opportunities to score right there at the end Should have been 28 to 6 and then having back there in the back and let him throw us off of him and go down in kick field goal.
So should a finish up have better.
Other than that we played really well thanks coach Chris Young for Greenwood, 21 to 9 leaders they go to half.
Don't go anywhere, though.
We've got a great halftime show for you.
We're going to head it back to the Arkansas PBS studios and we'll be back with a second half action about 20 minutes.

We're playing pretty good.
So many fans packed out every game and it's just not that they show up when there's loss, when there's when there's grief, they show up for everything.
That's what they in white, all doors.
Our superintendent then brought him in.
Yeah.
You think that someone that played in the NFL and big star quarterback but he didn't come off like that at all You could tell he was getting ready.
He was ready to get to work, and he was excited to be the head football coach.
He just comes in and he introduces himself and he immediately flashes a huge smile and cracks a joke.
And it's his laugh.
He always had this laugh.
It was a working relationship, but then it turned into he was literally my best friend.
Well, you knew who he was when he got here, but he didn't want that.
He wanted to just be Ryan.
What he brought was a big heart for kids, a huge personality, just a simple, humble man is what I saw.
He want to get back to kids and get back to the sport that he loved.
But my dad always being was the first football player that he met.
When he came to the house he ran.
It was right across the street from Ben's house.
He knew that Beam was going to be special.
He said, Man, I love that kid.
Please join me in a moment of silence.
As we remember Benjamin Britten here to accept all of this.
His mother, I woke up that morning with some text messages and calls, and a couple of those calls were from Coach Mallett.
When Ben passed away.
That's when I really found out how close they were because of how bad it wrecked him.
It changed him.
I really, really did.
I care form a lot.
I was like my son.
Basically.
It's just it's tough when you lose a kid like that and know that he was going to go off and do great things and that when that would hit me hard.
It's just sad seeing Coach Mallett react the way he did, even on the field and hug them out on the field and start crying and tell us all that he loved us.
We all use each other to kind of piggyback on try to look to each other for comfort.
Everybody was there for each other.
Matt had been the name that he was, you know, fake media or whatever, posting stuff.
When we text Bruja, you know, it was this real.
I was like, There's no way.
So I called him.
I was like, There's no way it's true.
Let me call him.
He pick up.
I was like, Wow, this is real.
I was in shock.
I just talked to him about an hour and a half before I just melted to the ground.
The feelings and the emotions so raw you can't hardly describe it unless you're in that moment.
To be honest, it didn't seem that it could possibly be real.
Our district lost students.
We had lost a coach that our kids adored.
It was more than what we could handle as a district, as a whole community.
I think they came together to help us football players out.
They had counselors from every school, even elementary schools there, Knowing that they were there for us helped out a lot.
It's just the outpouring of affection and and love that they show in this community for years.
It was awesome.
It was about what you expect from.
Well, they they were there.
Just that outpouring of love that was felt in not just our community, but surrounding communities in the state, just the love that was shown to us.
It's healing.
And we as a community can get through this.
We've gone through all these things and every day we are moving forward.

When it was done, it's halftime of the 68 state championship game Greenwood, Leeds, Little Rock Christian Academy, 21 to 9.
The Warriors just drove the length of the field and got a field goal as time expired.
To get a little momentum going into the locker room, let's go check in with Kyle.
He's got Eric tell you.
Yeah, a little bit of momentum there coach going into halftime but how do you get Walker White into rhythm like we know he's capable of playing Yeah you know he made some plays but we got to make him make all the plays is going to be key for our offense to get role in the second half defense.
Got to settle down.
We got to come out of the gate defensively though, and get the stop quick and get our offense rolling.
You're exactly right.
Good luck.
Thanks, Coach.
Thank Kyle.
It's a great point.
You just drove the length of the field.
You got a little momentum, but Greenwood gets the ball to start the second half.
The Warriors defense, they need to stop right here.
They do.
I mean, we've said it five or six times already.
A must win possession for Little Rock Christian's defense.
They ended the half by doing that.
White made some really nice.
Even the one incompletion on that previous drive right before the half, it was a perfect throw that bounced off his receiver's hands.
But nine of 22 passing is not going to get it done in the second half.
For Walker.
What they had, they need the passing game to be more efficient.
And if you're Greenwood on the other side, make more of the same.
14 of 19 pass in 125 through the air.
They look really impressive offensively, but now what are they going to do coming out of the half?
What kind of adjustments are they going to make?
Because I think Little Rock is going to try to ramp up the pressure, bring some extra bodies.
Payne Archer, 125 yards passing two touchdowns.
Walker White nine of 22 like you said, 142 yards, one touchdown.
Walker White's been sacked twice.
Kayne Archer has not been sacked yet.
Makes a look at the first half stats and Greenwood with a couple more total yards passing number everything pretty similar, pretty even right there.
It was really lopsided early so it felt like it was until that last drive a little right Christian goes 80 yards, they pick up five or six first downs.
Really evened out all those stats.
But you look at it, Greenwood seems like they're the team that's in control.
But a 12 point advantage is nothing, especially gets an offense like Little Rock Christian.
So if you're the Bulldogs, I think you put together your best drive, you've rolled out your best five or six scripted plays to start the second half because you know that you need to put the end zone and keep that lead as large as possible, maybe push it up to as much as 19.
Here's a look at some of the first half highlights.
And there's your first score of the game.
Grant Cornes going 27 yards and Greenwood led seven to nothing early in the first quarter.
Looked like they were going to add some more there.
Warriors with the big play defense.
But Kayne Archer stretches it across for the touchdown.
It's 14 to nothing.
Walker White trying to get things going.
That's a good grab on the sideline set the Warriors up.
White gets into the end zone when he finds Kade Bowman for 15 yards.
They went for two after the penalty, did not get it?
So it was 14 to 6 then.
Arrington Just the great moves from the junior 24 yards, 21 to 6.
Only a junior.
I had to do a double take.
And I feel like I've been covering some of these guys forever.
Then the big long drive from Little Rock Christian Academy started on what their own?
Six, seven yard line.
They drive down, get a field goal right at the end of the half.
Well, as time expired, field goal was good.
And that's where we are, 2031 to 9.
And we're putting so much on that last drive for a Little Rock Christian.
But it was the sequence of plays.
It was a defensive stop to get the football back and then go back the other direction and get points off field goal is not obviously not as nice as the touchdown, but it gave them momentum.
It gave the crowd here of an announcer over 12,000 people for the six eight championship game.
A little excitement, a little something to get jazzed about, of course, because they went for two earlier and that's how they're at nine.
This drive so important for both sides because if Greenwood can put the ball in the end zone, you feel like, okay, they're going to distance themselves, but there's a lot of football left and a little rock crusher has plenty of time to get back into it.
Take a look at some of the running numbers.
Great Davis 12 carries 56 yards.
He did lose a yard on one place over net of 55.
Cain Archer, seven, carries 29 yards.
So it's a total of Greenwood, 84 yards on the ground, Little Rock Christian Academy, only 54 yards rushing.
Walker White had 30 to gain course.
He had the two sacks, so just 20 yards on the ground for him.
Carter Smith, the more effective warrior running back five, carries 31 yards.
It's an average of 6.2 yards per carry.
Jackson Ward four carries three yards for him.
So try to get Carter Smith more involved, averaging six yards carry you mentioned the A two big runs that he had in that first half move the chains just just to mix things up so I think if you're going to throw the football that many times you're going to put yourself in a bad situation and you're asking your quarterbacks on pace to throw it 44 times.
Remember, at the end of the half, they had the penalty on the hurt little goal, the hurdling.
So Little Rock Christian's going to kick off from their own 45 and they're setting up for an onside kick, which I think is a pretty smart move here.
If you don't get it, you're looking at normal field position.
It was a good job by Landon Trusty kind of informing the crowd, just reminding everybody that maybe why are they kicking off from there?
Just a reminder of what happened at the end of the first half.
It is a onside kick.
It was hard loose play.
Greenwood fell on it.
Yeah, they have the ball low line drive kicks almost like a second baseman that's put a body in front of it and Brady Mackey able to knock it down and recovered and give Greenwood possession.
I like the idea though, for Little Rock Christian go ahead though the onside kick give the ball up at the 35.
It's a risk reward there that I think we all agree is it's okay to do that.
So here comes Archer Davis with him goes in motion.
Archer gets rid of it quickly, finds his receiver at the 40 yard line.
Payton Press it goes forward to about the 43.
I like the idea there Preston had the drop on the point that would have extended the last drive the first passing play since then.
Go right back to him.
Get that confidence back.
PRESTON Overcoming an injury, getting back into the lineup for the Bulldogs round the left side hit out of bounds.
Big hit the Little Rock Christian Academy.
That's going to move the sticks.
Yeah, first down really big block by the receiver nearest to the sideline.
Had to hold that block for two or 3 seconds and allow his running back to turn the corner and get the first down.
Archer has three receivers to the top of your screen, goes to the line of scrimmage, checking things soon Davis in motion Archer quickly out of his hands Same play just the other side You're starting to see that Little Rock Christian start to creep up on and see their running back motion out.
They know the pass is coming out quickly.
Maybe watch for Greenwood to sneak a receiver out.
Fake to the short route, try to hit the big play over the top and off.
Davis up the middle breaks through the long break here.
Davis moves the sticks can only make a two for two of first downs quickly to the line of scrimmage.
looks like Christian may bring a little pressure this time on the flag.
See what happened here.
Part of the snap ball start offense five yard penalty methodical drive by Greenwood.
But that's the way to derail it.
Pre-snap penalty hits penalty of the game on Greenwood One of uncharacteristic of the Bulldogs to have that many miscues but their offense has been able to overcome a lot of those mistakes up to this point.
Tonight, Davis goes back in motion.
We've seen that a lot.
Archer back the pocket, doesn't see anything, takes off, scrambles across the 30 to the 25, reaches across to the 24.
Let's see where they mark him out.
Not going to give him credit for that reach and put him right at the 25.
I thought that.
So heads up when a runner gets to the sideline, just sticks the ball out for another yard.
It's got to be so frustrating.
As a defense, you do your job in the secondary and you cover you do your job as a pass rush as you force the quarterback outside the pocket.
But he's able to beat you with his legs.
Nice job by Archer to get all that penalty yardage back.
And then so lots of motion.
We got another flag.
I think they moved again going to be pre-snap movement there by the defense Greenwood saying that they caused them to move it with a maybe a verbal cue.
We're going to call it on Little Rock.
Christian, It looks like part of the snap, disconcerting signals on the defense.
That's a five yard penalty for both of the personnel.
But university is such a logical education, let's use it used to be called a delay game when the defense is, you know, calling out fake snap counts.
Landon Trusty, he's an educated man, call him.
I think you heard that all the way up here.
Okay.
Also helps from the officials point.
Well, first and ten, give them another first down.
Ball's at the 20 archers ready for the snap Warriors again.
Look like they're coming.
They're bringing pressure.
Gets rid of it.
It's a screen.
He's got room to run tackle from behind That saved him five yard gain there Looks like that was set up Robbins caught it had blockers in front of him.
Stop but a good tackle from behind by Preston Davis second and five that good ball false start offense five yard penalty.
I know a lot of fans watching this broadcast maybe Greenwood fans, but also paying attention to Mansfield.
They're hanging with Prescott right now.
Second quarter down just 13 to 7.
I think I saw halftime scored.
I think that was the halftime score.
Also not too far from Greenwood.
They're tied at 13 with Glen Rose needing three semis.
This will have those championship games week three and four a update.
Prescott 21, Mansfield seven there in the third quarter.
Parker back to pass look at across the middle nothing there all the time Yeah tons of time scrambles out to his right now under pressure gets rid of it right at the sideline Did he get feet in though.
Great job by the Little Rock Christian secondary to the blank at the receivers he had all day That's a seven or eight second round and not able to get a foot down on that far side takes out a cameraman so I got to stay behind that dotted line.
Check yourself as a one of my camera goes.
I hope to hope he taught him a little better than that.
He should know better than that.
Harrington did everything he could to try to catch that and keep that foot inbounds.
He thought he had one foot up in the air, so he tried to drag the second foot.
I like this, Eric.
That's a good receiver.
Davis goes in motion looking to pass.
Still time scrambling.
Look, he gets rid of it out of bounds again.
Little Rock Christian is kind of taking some of the same gameplan that they've Greenwood implement on their offense, rushing only three, keeping a linebacker to spy and forcing those receivers to make a play to get open.
In those last two plays, they couldn't do.
So yeah, Archer has proven you better have a spy on him.
No doubt he has no problem talking it and running personal foul horse caller tackle because the defense finishes half the distance with the goal result in the first and a half.
I guess they had to happen on the quarterback because the receiver didn't make the play on the far sideline.
Either way, it was going to be a fourth down for Greenwood coming up.
Instead, the market off half the distance first and goal costly penalty for the Warriors seventh penalty of the game against Little Rock Christian so 18 combined penalties.
What was a clean game through the first quarter it started to get a little mucked up a lot of penalties on this drive alone that's I think that's fourth one on this drive got another movement make it five all this pre-snap movement from Little Rock Christian's defense is really affecting the offensive line The Bulldogs said ball false start offense five yard penalty for him.
So as an offensive lineman, you've just got to settle in.
You know it's coming.
He's got to hold your water.
So one thing that I always heard from my off of the line coach, hold your water.
You what the snap gets on.
There's no point in seeing what the defense is doing, but they are having some success as a Little Rock Christian with these early movements causes, the senator flinch.
There was a good look at it right there.
See the Warriors defense jumping around?
Moving from gap to gap caused a little bit of a flinch so it's first and goal from the 15 Archer wants to throw it now he's got room to run tucks it up the middle makes one man miss football secured across the ten to the nine he'll get six on that play target Archer kind of run with the ball just kind of flailing out there you got to get three points of pressure stressful as a as a coaching staff I thought at first that was a designed quarterback run, but it was not.
His running back didn't go block for him.
He ran out in the route and his back is going to be his drag down in the backfield.
Davis didn't have anywhere to go that time.
Garland Davis timed up to the the pressure perfectly came off the edge.
Greenwood to good enough for the extra rusher and Garland Davis the linebacker for a little Rock Christian makes the play in the backfield.
Second time we've had Davis on Davis making the play They'll lose some yards on that play pushed him back to the 12/3 and goal from the 12 time consuming drive here in the third quarter first drive of the third quarter got him again after saying that they're saying something doing something to keep his to force his teammates to jump that ball false start offense the five yard penalty that is the case of course they got called for a one time.
That could really mess with your mind.
Maybe you have to switch to the silent count if your green will start to limit these pre-snap penalties.
13 penalties now on Greenwood in what was a very promising drive first and goal from the ten it going backwards third and goal from the 17 Archer will take off with it rolls to his right looking for somebody he gets a receiver.
It's going to be short of the goal line.
He'll say he caught it at the seven, so it's going to be fourth and goal Peyton Press and brings it in Archer right on the money he hit him between the one in the zero high school level on the college level that's a catch on Sundays that would have been out of bounds and not get the second feet.
You don't need it when the play on Friday nights.
So Greenwood's going to try to get some points out of this drive, settle the field goal from the right hash wheel, 24 yard field goal, snap, hold picks off kick.
It's good, 24 to 9.
So Greenwood extends their lead.
They're up by 50, still a two possession, though.
We'll take a break to see what the Warriors can do when we come back.

Let's go down to Kyle and see what Greenwood's upset about.
Yeah, guys.
So Chris Young, the head coach, is saying to the officials, I was listening to the conversation that essentially Little Rock Christian's trying to mimic the snap, mimic the cadence, and the officials response essentially is we can't judge the intention, so there's nothing we can call their.
Okay They called it once, though.
Yeah.
And that was his point, guys, was you call it once.
How come you can't call every single time?
The intention to me is if it continues to happen, it's seems pretty intense at all.
What do I know?
What's we're not that on the field.
We don't hear what they're saying.
We hear the snap count from what Greenwood is compared to what is or isn't being said on the field.
Warriors go to work first and ten ball of for 33 Walker White moves it off.
There's nothing there trying to get that running game going.
They just haven't been able to find any success running the ball.
They slide that protection to the right.
They try to double Team Archer and they leave the backside end one on one and for probably a countless time tonight Riley White's in the backfield makes the play and again Little rock Christian behind the chains forced into obvious passing situations and these weren't successful for the most part in the first half white nine of 22 does 142 yards but hasn't been terribly consistent empty backfield white quick pass gets it out completed over 1003 not much but that'll make it third and manageable At least you're like they could take that almost every time Greenwood's going to give you a four or five yard cushion.
You have to respect the big arm that White has.
No one to allow the big play, and so they'll give it a five or six yard cushion.
If they want to take that every play.
They often feel like they almost could hit Schroder with the catch.
Sophomore gets it to third and five white back to pass has his receiver coming in catch it right at midfield That'll move the sticks three good catch by Trystan Watson long shot by Watson to elevate high point the football make the play catch brought down in midfield good athletic play from the receiver ward goes into motion so white all alone empty backfield Walker looking down field goal Archer again 16 sacks coming into this game How many is that for tonight That may be his first solo sack know he's got one and a half He missed a couple early but that time he just wins the race around the edge that drops the shoulder, wins the battle and that time able to hit Walker White on the ground play by Kash Archer come coming for steam big hit to take as a quarterback White pass has a receiver right at the sticks that'll get that yardage back from the sack plus one it's true Trystan Watson once again Watson having a good game racking up some catches for 39 now ball just cross midfield maybe looking at four down territory here for the Warriors down 15 two scores halfway through the third quarter.
Archer was credited with a sack and a half three tackles for loss.
That's a lead screen with five stops.
Walker out of his hands that time picked off, overthrew his wide receiver.
Greenwood was there to pick it off there at midfield, across midfield and the first turnover of the game and Greenwood gets it.
Landon Nelms with the pick.
What happens when you get stuck in third and long situations so many times tries to force it there that one airmail just a touch and the Greenwood defense perfectly positioned it makes the play probably should have been down back at the 45 it looks like it took a 34 to 35 and I do.
Go ahead and bring that bring it all the way back to the two initial spot where his knee was.
That good job there from our crew.
They spotted that.
Didn't have to review it.
the first real big mistake.
See if Greenwood can capitalize Greenwood with a chance to make this a three possession game.
Archer He's going to keep it up.
Archer picks up about four in the third.
Greenwood was pretty methodical on that first drive, and it was killed by penalties of their own doing.
So if they try to get a lead on Davis and Archer on the in the ground game to duplicate that success Game three, they don't have to get in any hurry.
Now, I know that at times they like that tempo and have picked the pace up now with the possession lead second half, we see him looking back over the sideline, taking their time, getting the play in play clock at ten, Archer a little option pitches it Davis close to the first down he's going to be a yard short I'm a possession already 5 minutes in favor of Greenwood and that's of those stats that can be pretty misleading at times but Greenwood really has been the team that has sustained drives, kept their offense on the field, and that's why they've got a 15 point lead on the scoreboard.
Third and short, got a flag to put a false start on the slot receiver warriors supporting and trying to get the somebodies attention.
Good ball false start offense five yard penalty third down and the person got moving too quickly.
Part time when you've got bright pink gloves on the field.
there's a good look at the report.
He kind of jump forward two thought I'll just go in motion.
I'll just try to fake them out And going motion didn't work 36 Archer out of his hands quickly finds his receiver, sits down close to the sticks.
It's going to depend on the mark right at the chains.
It's going to be close short.
I think he's short, just barely.
And he's going to hurry up at the ball handoff.
Davis.
Davis He didn't get it.
That's a huge momentum lifter for the Little Rock Crystal Warriors.
Look at that sideline around.
The fans were up.
They know that was a huge play.
This one at the Point of Attack.
I like the idea.
You hurry up.
You've been so successful running the football with Davis behind that offensive line.
But that battle goes to Little Rock person and now they've got a short field warriors have to try to take advantage of this.
He lost almost two yards on that play.
No doubt about it, Bobby.
They have to get some points here.
Try the outside zone their noses.
Great.
And of course, hindsight's 2020.
I like to maybe try to run that one just downhill straight ahead.
Walker Ready to go to work?
Empty backfield.
Archer over there firing up his teammates.
Walker is going to keep it over the right side.
Walker reaching, trying to get every yard he can still surprise we're not seeing more of that Wes just the 10th rushing attempt and so few of those are sacks.
You spread everybody out, you got five wide.
You've got a receiver almost touching both sidelines.
So the Greenwood defense always has to stretch with them.
So much space in the middle of the field, only a five man box, if you count the slot corner walker back to pass, has a receiver streaking down the seam and is picked off.
Safety was right there waiting on it just baited him into it.
The safety kind of play off a little bit if you're that corner matched up and the safety just baited him into it and made the easy interception Grady Mackey third interception the year that's the second interception for Greenwood back to back possessions White sees the receiver on the left side of the formation thinks he's wide open just doesn't account for number four right in the middle of the field playing center field and the easy interception in Greenwood's defense gets a massive stop.
I don't know if he saw it.
It's like he where he threw it.
He never saw that safety there first and ten Greenwood takes over the ball at their own seven.
Archer gives it to Davis Davis across the ten to the 11 give him for arc Here is a proud of Arkansas PBS sports The arc here network of medical clinics and pharmacies helps to keep you in the game play in your best hour care so you can live your story.
Let's go down the sideline, check in with Kyle Brown.
Cheers.
Cane Archer he was so bad at that last series that he got up.
He was stomping around, throwing his helmet around, sits back down and yells.
Every year we get here, it's like you have to remind him you're up 24 to 9.
Finish.
That's what he wants to do.
Finish this one.
Leave no doubt Harrington with it.
Harrington unable to pick up the first down.
He'll get the ball to the 53 yards on the play.
The third and two doesn't have to be reminded what happened here.
Last year.
They were striking distance of winning a state championship.
Laskey Academy.
I know Greenwood fans feel like stole away from them.
The Bulldogs trying to leave no doubt this time around.
Another big third down Warriors defensive line jumping around low from Greenwood.
This time Archer keeps it.
Archer spinning, picks up the first down.
He's got more room to run across the 25 to the 30 Archer out of bounds at 37 yard line to go get it with the horse collar brought him down from the by the name plate will be 15 more you archer using his legs to pick up the first down.
He's signaling to his coaches it was it was a horse collar during the run personal file horse collar the defense 15 yards on the run first down that'll get Greenwood of that whole big run.
And then the big personal foul, 165 yards of combined penalty yardage.
This one, someone out there is kicking themselves for not buying the sponsorship for the flag midfield Now for Greenwood Archer quick pass out to Robbins Robbins across the 45 spinning to the 42 yard line That's Khan's I'm sorry Karnes, Robbins, Harrington they all do such a great job of it.
It looks like they're going to go down to the ground.
They lunge forward for that extra yard or two corners, goes wide right handed off to Davis, up the middle, but didn't move those legs.
Pyle keeps moving forward.
That's a first down drill.
He just got in behind his big offensive linemen and just started pushing the team first down for the Bulldogs without going to waste any time.
They're going to go back to the line.
Empty backfield.
Archer, he wants to run with it.
He goes over the right side, he falls for Andre on quarterback draw there, picks up five more Cain with 164 through the air now what 77 yards on the ground slings Jackson Carlson with the tackle there gets him by the jersey prevents him from getting even more final 70 seconds in the third quarter warrior stock Greenwood jump no flag Davis keeps it or Davis has it.
He's going to get to the 31 yard line a couple more yards there for Greenwood to bring up third, about five job by Earls Little Rock Christian to recognize the counter shut that down for a minimal gain.
Let's make it 434 oblivious This is two down territory pass it or attempt to pass.
He has a receiver at 20 open makes one man missed to the 50.
That was L.J.
Robbins.
Robbins moves the sticks.
Greenwood keeps marching on Great job by Archer to go through his progressions That's like the third reed on that pass play Goodwill Zig Right on the first side, he look to the deep ball, then you come back across the middle.
Great job.
I ask you to go back to number three Move chains.
They do not have to snap this more time on the play clock than on the game clock.
I don't think they are 8 seconds.
Yeah, I think they're content to go the fourth quarter with the ball in a 15 point lead, trying to make this a three possession game.
What they're going to do in the third quarter to go stick around.
You're watching the Centennial big state football championships on Arkansas PBS Sports.
Looks like we have some new help in the marketing department at the high end of the IRA.
With everything you can see.
I think you do the work on here.
Fine.
Badger, How about you do?
It family and customer?
Friends?
My family.
Our country is a very big DNC.
I like for Memorial Stadium, where Greenwood leads Little Rock Christian 24 to 9.
Here's what we got here, how we got here.
Grant Carnes, 20 yard touchdown in the first quarter.
Greenwood Quickly out to a seven to nothing lead.
They added to it Kane Archer stretching the ball across 14 nothing And then the Warriors got Gordon Walker White with the nice completion right there on the sideline And then Walker White finds Kate Bowman two point conversion was no good.
It was 14 to 6 second quarter.
Isaiah Arrington Nice move down the sideline 24 yards for the junior 21 six Greenwood leads Little Rock.
Christian then marched down the field and kicked a field goal to make it 21 to 9 at the half.
Greenwood just kicked a field goal in the third quarter.
That was the only scoring we had in the third quarter 24 to 9.
But Greenwood's knocking on the door.
They have the ball at the 14 yard line as we start the fourth, 12 minutes to go in the six eight state championship game.
Critical drive here.
I mean, almost point is a backbreaker for Little Rock Christian and he points at a field goal It's a three possession game Archer keeps it faked it to Davis.
Hey don't look at that game.
He's got a great push from the line because it didn't look like he got what you look up, he picked up six yards.
You got to sell out here.
If you're a little Rock Christian, you got to attack the football rip at it.
Make it, make it a chance, play a risk play.
If you're a secondary member, the ball is coming your way because there is no way you can give up points and go down three possessions.
Second down.
What's that?
That's a huddle.
They call that the huddle these days, right?
They got the huddle.
I think that was a loud and sexy football anymore.
Well, run that play clock down to seven.
Archer keeps it follows this big lineman across the tent right to the ten yard line he's going to be short bring up third down so effective and the short yardage you think of a 2200 yard passer he'd like to throw it first but he's got 15 touchdowns on the ground this year and he missed two games.
The effectiveness of of Archer in the offensive line can't forget about the big uglies up front for Greenwood when you throw in the fact that you've got off a 12 or 1300 yard rusher and Davis standing right beside him it's really pick your poison if you're Little Rock Christian's defensive front the Davis 1400 yards Kane 500 sets they've got run at 2000 Archer want the pass at this time though nothing rolls to his right now coming back his left points those receiver throws all the way across the field just out of the reach of Harrington a little bit of big time throw there by Archer that showed some arm strength to go all the way back across the field Little Rock Christian only rushing three though that's what that's why he had all day to throw it.
Greenwood To try to tack on this field goal and push that lead to 18 and three possessions, very important field goal know put it down at the 12.
So just a 22 yard field goal, but a tough angle.
Snap hole, kick it is good.
Got it through there.
27 to 9 hole is a little bit deeper for the Warriors.
You know, this isn't the only game going on right now.
Right.
Semifinals.
Here's a look at some of the scores around the State River crest.
The Colts shutting out, worn 14 to nothing.
Prescott increases their lead over Mansfield.
It's 28 to 7 over 20 to 13.
That's the three eight semifinals, 20 to 13 win ROSE The Beavers hanging tough with Boonville.
Boonville has been ranked pretty much number one in a lot of the polls all season long.
We're missing the Elkins score, the Elks 3424, Harding at the half.
So a lot points being scored Elkins a 51 yard touchdown pass in the last minute that first half.
So Harding Academy got a ten point lead in their 3424 24 it's 658 points.
I predicted the more.
Yeah.
I thought there I thought so maybe in the seventies I guess Harding Academy on pace for that or close to it Little Rock Christian fields the kick off they'll get back to cross the 20 diving to the 21 yard line Harding Academy going to be in that group of private schools that are going to be moving up in classification coming up next year.
Seven eight Central is going to look a little different next year.
You're Exactly right.
So moving down will be Southside and Jonesboro.
Yep.
And the largest classification in Little Rock.
Christian moving up Northside will go out west, North Side, loving in front.
They're not going to be on that bus all night every Friday Walker White going to work quick pass out completed across the 25 yard line did the ball come loose came out loose there at late but able to jump on his own fumble.
Bowman is able to recover it.
Yeah, we'll talk about it a different day but Shiloh Christian moving up to six eight.
No matter what happens tomorrow night, Harding Academy moves it up to five.
Going to be in the same conference likely was searching for the time ever.
Wow that'll be a fun game, right?
Look at the pass cross the middle throws it deep.
Could not get his receiver Tristan Watson was trying to break free You can hear maybe some of the moans from the Little Rock Christian side over there.
They thought maybe he was tugged on a little bit.
Look, kind of a little double move what you saw Walker He had a start.
He took off running again and felt like maybe he was held or interfered with third and one or just got to get a first down here.
So they're going to hand it off, try to get that first down, hits close side officials walking in like a like he got the first down.
Yep.
They went ahead and move the sticks pushed by that front three for Greenwood it just continues to impress me mean they're outnumbered obviously five offensive linemen they're still able to converge and keep that just to a gain of one.
And now they're just going to pin their ears back because they know Little Rock Christians and must throw it in Talladega, White gets it out of his hands quickly and over, throws his receiver half pressure in his face That was Brady Pettigrew coming in at him.
Yeah that's the story of the game but Greenwood's been able to get pressure on white with three defensive linemen They got a fourth guy That's just a spot if you watching he's just sitting right there watching Wyatt.
He doesn't care what else is happening.
He's just watching Walker White weight, throwing it back across the field, a dangerous pass, and Eli Whittaker had a bead on it.
He was trying to pick that off and there was nobody between him.
He had 35 yards of easy room to run.
Trying to do too much.
Is Walker White.
I understand the frustration you're only facing a three man rusher, not facing many blitzes.
You think that your guys should be there.
You think you've got enough arm talent to make every throw and it's just not going their tonight 13 of 30 through the year now this little rock Christian no spy this time and now the spy gets in the place.
He was lined up incorrectly.
Walker White finds his guy cutting across the field across the 50 yard line.
Kade Bowman with the big catch and a deep crosser there finally to get something going for Little Rock Christian.
And that works because the pass didn't get there.
Get them home that time.
Give him just an extra second.
Allow the receiver to get all the way across the field and move the change for the Warriors White out quick almost picked off and it was caught though Tristan Watson caught it.
Hayden Nelms made a break.
Great break on the receiver shutting down and right at the reception line sees the 45 and a four yard gain.
Second and six white spinning, throwing threw it to double coverage and both of the Bulldogs were in front of the little Christian receiver that time.
The pass rush did get home, so White unloads it probably too early and almost cost himself another turnover.
It started with the bad snap.
White caught it and had a spin to get back into position to get his feet right in the pocket.
He looked up and just gunned it in there.
Landon Nelms had that one go right through his hands.
Third down, 36 pass to the sideline.
They'll get the first down and some trouble.
They'll finally mark.
Mark Christian wants it out of bounds at the 25 drive continues Stanford on the play a little more for the warriors going fast they have two down three scores right now over 200 yards passing time.
He's got time in the pocket.
Rose right now looking looking in the corner of the end zone kick get in the way he's pulled down from behind.
Yeah.
There's the flag up there.
There's the flag.
He just kind of dropped it and didn't have to didn't have to do that.
But it's tough to slow you down momentum wise if you're Archer.
He gets out there, chases down the quarterback from behind, but they're going to get him with the horse goal attack will be a half the distance thought that time maybe Walker could have stayed in the pocket didn't really have no foul spot in the way but off huge break for Greenwood I thought was enough of a tug there that that was going to get called.
But Archer bailed out so there's no penalty.
The clock will run.
Coming up on 8 minutes left in the game, second and eight white picked up two yards on the scramble.
timeout Greenwood's going to call timeout I think that's a good call there for come out of Greenwood it's their first time out of the defense has been on the field some but but there's been a lot of times where they've got to rush the passer maybe those defensive ends up the wear down a little bit, give them an extra 62nd break of their crowd, going to give them a little juice, little shot of adrenaline.
Greenwood fans are getting loud.
They're starting to feel it in the second eight.

Speaking of Farmville, see those guys tomorrow?
The Bulldogs were here the Purple Dogs were here a little earlier, may have left the stadium and walked up to Greenwood and Fargo played earlier this year.
And a benefit game goes so well for the Bulldogs from north of the tunnel.
So that's a benefit game.
Didn't count.
It's not on their perfect record.
Try to keep it perfect tomorrow and take home that state championship all seven eight West affair.
We predicted that right now white in shotgun three receivers to the right that's where he's looking now back to the left side of the field good not bring it in Throws a little low but Carter Smith went down tried to grab it couldn't get it now late flag the ref intervention unsportsmanlike conduct penalty here Greenwood was trying to calm down their teammates Maybe Zach Zimmerman was sitting there, got up and gave him the incomplete sign and in his face after the play, unsportsmanlike conduct on the defense penalties half the distance to the goal results in a first down, but a few verbal barbs thrown around out there.
You can see the the two teams have kind of jawed back and forth.
Zimmerman is going to come out of the game now.
Coach is going to have a little something to say towards good coverage.
But you can't do that.
You can maybe throw the incomplete time, but you can't get it.
Given the other players face.
They're going to call that every time.
Good call.
By the officiating crew, first 1/10 all in the 12 warriors in a must score position Greenwood jump but they did not get across the line backfield I think quarterback draw may be in play here at spy sitting there at the five yard line I get the numbers though five on four in the box I tried to avoid the pressure he does heaves it up in the air a jump ball and is caught him in caught by the wolf Pierce Kade Bowman came down with it on a first down play.
That might be one of the most ill advised things you'll ever ask your quarterback to do.
But hey, it's going to be a perfect pass in the box score tomorrow morning.
And people still read the newspaper.
That was one, not 11.
I thought that was Kade Bowman.
It was Jake Field.
It got the tip ball.
A Hail Mary is truly a Hail Mary.
Just throwing up.
It's a jump ball tipped at the goal line.
And here comes Jake Field from behind to catch it eight times out of ten west That ball's picked off He got really fortunate.
Either way it's a touchdown for Little Rock Christian.
Now their defense has got to get the ball back for that offense.
About a month ago, I saw something very similar at Esther's field.
Try Mary that was tipped in court by Gerard Barnes, Premier Cabot Panther Field there to get the tip ball and go into the end zone.
Another great look at it.
It may have been Bolden who tipped it.
He may have been just trying to tip it out, keep it, prevent it from being and ends up in the hands of his teammate.
I wonder if the Warriors talking about an onside kick here.
We've got to take a break.
We got to take a break.

Go back over there.
I'm not coming out.
Got a final two pass along to you.
state number one for next weekend.
It is the currently wolves out of Prescott.
They win 28 to 7 over Mansfield.
A tip of the cap to Mansfield for the run that they've gone on in this postseason.
The number three seed to go on the road and win two games at number one seeds big time effort right there.
Here's another big time effort just continuing to churn out those yards.
Brayton Davis And nothing.
no.
So that's about 92 yards on the afternoon for Braeden Davis.
I got to predict he'll have 100 before it's over.
They're going to ride.
He and running the ball running this clock.
Get out of here with the victory They're up 11, still a two possession game if they keep getting first downs, taking their time, huddling up, something we don't see often.
But they got the play clock 275, snap it right.
The 3 seconds left, Davis push in the pile.
Moving forward.
He's got the first down, but Davis probably would have said this is about number ten or 11 on his wish list for today.
It's a 1500 yard season.
That's pretty good.
683, a little bit closer to 100 yards in the state championship game.
He moves it to the 33, huddling up, getting to the line of scrimmage with 15 seconds on the play clock and a good game management here by our archer in that offense to lead the play clock all the way down and did it all the way to two before snapping Archer picks up eight Davis now over 100 yards with that carry you starting to see that offensive line take control of it maybe the emotions start to catch up the Little Rock person they know a comeback needs to stop here but enough to cover onside kick to short field two big guys up front starting to take control.
Fleming Taylor was Archer even in the game right then was just ran to the sideline after the play to get the play.
Not no signal needed.
I'll just throw it over, talk to coach the kill.
Got to do something between the 42nd play clock five three snap it with two they're right and Davis right now the first down at Little Rock Christian will have to start to think about maybe using the time out here on defense because the next time they snap the football, we're going to be inside the five minute mark.
Warriors have all three of their timeouts.
First things first, they got to please stop Greenwood, Hold them to a field goal.
Look to a field goal here.
It's still a two possession game for that offense That's not insurmountable.
You cannot let Greenwood find the green grass.
So technically all green, but I know what you're talking about.
Yeah.
Let me go bump the budget up in the paint the end zones Next year.
You're willing to work for free to do that?
Look to me.
Right, Truck guys, keep it.
This time he goes over the right side.
He's got room to run.
I think he could have gotten more of it.
Yeah, he's content.
Let this clock run.
He slides it.
The 11 three hits up nine.
That Ole.
What the hell?
Three button hit chew clock.
If you're playing mad at home, he's just going to bleed this clock down more and more.
I thought with the cut inside right there off of his blocker Arrington that he might have scored but you see he's content like you know what we're good they can't or they shouldn't score.
If we have the ball we can run this clock another 10 seconds before the play clock expires.
Davis crossed the ten that gets the first down or and bring in extra rushers from the outside.
Still Can't stop him Everybody in this stadium, all 12,280 or so knows Green was running the football and the fact that those those guys up front still moving the line of scrimmage shows what they've got and why.
Greenwood's now 345 away from a six day state championship.
Once again Archer went to the sideline to get the play dogs in their huddle, they break the huddle, go line with 10 seconds on the play clock.
He's been a great job at snapping it with two or 3 seconds that time, 4 seconds.
Davis inside the five falls to the four.
Now Little Rock Christian is going to take that timeout on defense as we're at 321.
No, they got to hold it to a field goal here.
Come out.
That's a good time, right, Christian?
It's a chance for them their first out the guys look it's not going the way we want but we're still in this.
Hold them to a field goal.
We've got to hold them to a field goal.
We've be down 14.
Let's give our quarterback a chance to drive down maybe an onside kick, go back down and tie this up.
It's not over.
I can still here If you need me to go down the sideline to check in with Kyle.
guys, they're riding great.
And Davis on this drive, you know, you go to the beginning of the season.
For Greenwood, running back was one of the more unsettled positions for this team.
But Coach Chris Young talked about how Davis has really changed his body in the offseason.
Came in with a new demeanor, new look, 1500 yards now on the season this offensive line you guys are alluding to 2500 rushing yards and how about their center, a three year starter Ryan Short this guy is 35 on the act.
All three of us would take that.
How about that offensive line?
Christian Fleming, Codie Taylor, Ryan Shorties, Brett Wolseley and Ashton Stein.
Give them a little props, give them a little love paving the way I can speak for himself.
I made a 30 on the team the two times I took it combined, but at once Archer Davis Davis in touchdown to seal it and should do it It's just big boy football and Greenwood won the battle Those five guys you just mentioned five guys Kyle just talked about.
That's how you win football games.
No matter what level you're playing, you dominate the line of scrimmage.
You're going to be tough to beat.
And Greenwood is going to win this title game because of that offensive line.
And what a great cut by Davis.
They're taking it last saw a little gap cut it back to his right goes into the end zone to expand on Kyle story Davis was working out with the team in the mornings and then go would go work out on his own in the afternoon getting in to work out today to get his body in shape to change his body to be a68 running back.
If you're watching this game, you're a high school football player, maybe middle school, junior high, and you're wondering, hey, what do I need to do to get to the next level?
It's all between the years and also, you got to go out, put it, put a little work weight.
Yeah, get in the weight room, take care of your body, but also put out the extra effort.
You're seeing these Greenwood guys, a Little Rock players, they're here because they leave it out there every day in practice.
Can they on game day?
Can't the show up on the lights?
Come on.
We got to put in that work Monday through Thursday.
Well, these two programs have certainly built that.
That's why they've been in the championship game too many times.
And helmets 17 for Greenwood since 2012.
Well, couple of years they take off Little Rock.
Christian's been a mainstay here for the last eight, nine years, won a state championship back in 2018.
And if you're talking to the last decade, these are two of the bluebloods in Arkansas football Greenwood on a mission this year, they felt like they'd lost too many in a row here at War Memorial Stadium.
They wanted to put an end to that good return.
That time for the Warriors had a little bit of a seed.
BRADY Skaggs at the tackle Jake Field return.
He was excited after that tip pass for a touchdown.
He hit that hard.
So now if you're a Little Rock Christian, you're down 18 again.
I mean, it's quick scores.
I mean, got you've got to push the ball down the field, you've got to get chunk plays and now you're going to what?
You're going to start to see them drop in that shell, maybe even cover four and dropping guys back.
Make sure nobody beat you over the top safeties are 20 yards deep, bailing before the snap wiped out to the sideline.
Passes complete thrown out of bounds.
Trystan Watson on the catch Watson to the 36 pick up a six point the crowd Greenwood content with that yeah we'll give him six yards course you want to make that play in bounds for the bulldog defense keep that clock running second and four why Aaron it out down the sideline.
His receiver never saw it got a flag called pass interference and yes I guess it came in lay that ball lands out of bounds the receiver that was Tre Howard act I don't think he ever saw it pass interference defense 15 yards premium spot zone for the first half another penalty on Greenwood if you're looking for something negative that's that's about all you can find on Greenwood 16 penalties for 125 yards ball lands three or four yards behind an outside the receiver true that's why they're booing that landed Neyland fed the receivers left arm just holding it and it behind the receiver to the point where it was obvious he had to call that why it we'll take off and run with it You see that spy there you know a lot of times he can't take off and just run right up the middle.
There's nobody there but Greenwood all night just a fantastic job of keeping the spy on him.
Only job for that point.
Just to stand right there about five yards deep.
And you where he goes.
Caleb Gardner tasked with spying Walker wide on that play.
Just what looks like you've got a wide open field.
All of a sudden, White has to angle off and say, You hold him to six yards, but you'll take that at this point in the game, right down the left sideline, it's completed.
It's Kate Bowman again.
Bowman catches it at the 25 yard line.
Nice back shoulder throw there by white Harrington on coverage.
They're playing a little defensive back, but seven defensive backs on the field, three D linemen, the one linebacker who's the spot and white lots of time throws it into the corner.
It ends on this court.
That's a touchdown for the Warriors.
Tristan Watson with the catch.
It was a miscommunication with the green to a defense there.
Allow the receiver to get behind him and Little Rock Christian strikes pretty quickly drop didn't take much time at all.
They put it in the end zone back to a 12 point game with the extra point pending, Warriors will now need to get that onside kick.
We've got two timeouts left, so get it to back to what a 11 point game kick is.
Good.
So to make it 3423 with 241 to go, 41 goes for three will join us in a little Rock zoo for our third annual Go Wild.

There was a time early in the game that percentage was a lot lower.
It was a 25% through his first eight passes, nine of 22 in the first half.
So you can do some math, 11 of 18 here in the second half.
He's been much cleaner.
The pass rush hasn't been quite as effective.
Maybe those guys are starting to wear down with a lot of pass rush attempts.
Too much Greenwood Early will drop Christian Doug themselves a massive hole important onside kick field it cleanly going the other way with it the Greenwood Bulldogs.
I've seen them do this too before and they have won against Pulaski Academy that they filled it cleanly and just broke through the line and took it back all the way for the score.
And that's exactly what they were thinking right there.
Grady Mackey was happy to field that onside kick.
Let me so if you know what I'm I can score right here.
Greenwood will take over at the Warriors 36.
Try to run a little bit more clock here warriors coming bringing everybody back.
But they just tripped Davis Davis got past that line.
The blitzing line couldn't tackle and there was nobody there.
The big hole right there by the center.
Take it over up front.
And now they're going to Little Rock.
Christian, obviously give it up.
The first down doesn't take the time out.
So they'll be able to bleed off.
40 full seconds here.
They won't have to snap until we're inside.
2 minutes.
It's just a game that you don't see Greenwood play very often.
Slow it down.
But first, when you've got a three possession lead, why give up multiple possessions when you don't have to?
5 seconds on the play clock, snap it with three.
DAVIS So adding to his total look at that breaks free.
Is it getting it in the end zone?
Yes he is.
Give him another score.
Braeden Davis putting on a show in the fourth quarter, putting the offense on his back, breaking tackles into the end zone, 158 yards rushing now for Brandon Davis, two touchdowns he has taken over the previous play Thunder for the review.
We're going to look at it again.
You said 158 158.
You had 56 at the half what I was looking for.
So 102 yards here in the second half, I bet a lot of those are in the fourth quarter.
I don't have my third quarter box of the game.
He's had a huge fourth quarter at the end of three quarters.
He had 83 yards for 73 yards here in the fourth quarter.
As quick math, hopeless right now, 75 yards sort of thing to it.
I'm not going to cheat that guy anything.
He'll run me over.
They're going to look at this, make sure he didn't step out of bounds before he hit the pylon.
And I also look at it all scoring plays, automatically reviewed the state finals, looked good at the five.
my gosh.
Look at that move.
He is out at the one maybe inside the one there.
That right foot right there might be out of bounds.
He may have stepped out again at the one.
So that's a good review.
They call him at the two.
I was technically right with my math the first time, but I'm not going to say that I'm not going to toot my own horn for now because I bet he gets it on the next play.
As you're exactly right, I just he's starting to creep into a championship game.
MVP status.
Yeah, it was looking like it was one of the be Cane archer but of the yards all the sudden.
Yeah.
You know Gray Davis is in that conversation Runner stepped out of bounds at the two first and goal Greenwood two yard line hi Toby told me one of the archers or Brian Davis in line to win your MVP right here doubt the members of the media are smart enough to give it to a defensive end.
Yeah.
Preston Davis on the other side.
16 tackles for the right Christian in the game over the field.
Well he came in as their leading tackler Yeah 116 tackles on the year that stepped out of bounds and that does stop the clock first and goal though if you're Greenwood you could maybe take a knee and just run it out.
Would the Warriors take a time out?
We'll find if you lose.
I'm sorry.
He faked me out.
Great.
Fake by Kane Archer.
He just walks it in.
I was looking to break Davis and he was met the backfield.
We've gotten so used to this Davis hitting that Davis hammer against the wall and all of a sudden Archer on the option reed pulls it out And how about the stiff arm by the quarterback in the backfield is playing a little rock Christian defender walks into the end zone that put this game away that impressive I miss the stiff arm because I was watching Davis Archer after breaking the tackle wall to the end.
They add the extra point and Greenwood goes up 41 to 23.
Been impressive.
They've done it in all three phases to 51 on the ground, 187 through air, and I'm pretty sure they had 187 at the end of three quarters, 182 five yards passing here in the third fourth quarter Avenue to rely on the big guys up front.
That's they lift all those weights.
That's why they eat your leftover french fries at lunch.
You need that extra beef, that extra fuel.
That's why they're going to take a title back home to Greenwood.
What a consistent offensive performance by Greenwood.
21 points in the first half, 20 points here in the second half.
For a quick cash thing.
Let's go down the sideline to check in with Kyle, because I was watching Catch Archer.
There he was kind of emotional.
And you know what?
You go back to fifth grade, he wanted to quit football, but Kane and his dad, Adam, said, No way, Stick with it.
Comes back in the eighth grade.
And now here he is on the verge of winning a state championship with his brother and was funny.
This week Ben was asked about the two of them maybe playing together at the next level, maybe even beyond that.
And Kane joked, You know what?
We want to be like the Kelsey Brothers.
Why not?
Well, I drop kick off Fielded by Little Rock Kristen slips Ball's knee goes down 25 both going to have a chance to play high level college football Kane's got him offers to a handful of schools cash has got offers to Louisville and plenty more.
They're going to be playing high level college football.
Maybe do decide to play together.
We'll see.
I think they've got another year in high school left to play together, so they'll worry about next year.
Sorry, six football.
You've got to deal with these guys for together for two more years or one more year than you do with Kane for two white back to pass Had a receiver but went his hands off his shoulder pads and look at all the way in.
Watson's caught a lot of passes today that one just couldn't bring in second year ten same work from that Greenwood defense rushing three double teaming Archer White finds a receiver cutting across the middle.
It's close to midfield once again this Bowman got a flag like that's going to be a blindside block on Little Rock Christian The catch most of that yardage is going to be negated by the personal foul picked up the first down, picked up about 25 on that play next to it during the run personal foul illegal blindside block against the offense 15 yards from spot of the foul results in the first now got it mark right around the 50 to move it back to a 35 Here's the blindside block wouldn't look at it until just trying to help his teammate get a little over aggressive there he'll move the chains, set it up right at the 35.
Right.
Plenty of time as a receiver catches it at the 45 to the seven forced out of bounds and first off the clock, Kade Bowman with another catch wide over 300 yards in the contest the numbers are may not be quite as indicative as how good the Greenwood defense is play.
They're playing such a soft zone right now.
His last two drives be to to rack up some numbers and that's not taking anything away from Little Rock versus offense.
But Greenwood's defense has been very, very good.
Very impressive today.
So hold Little Rock to 23 points.
That's a statement right there.
Do you think what happened was basically a Hail Mary 14 here in the fourth quarter?
Another completion Trystan Watson with it, Watson down at the 46.
But the clock continues on this one.
No, the second in three under a minute to play.
Archer just threw two guys to the ground that was that was impressed Impressive cash Ah hard cash Archer just with a spin move threw two guys to the field.
He's being double team on every play And why would your college coach watching this maybe get on number seven?
But yeah, I think more offers are coming.
The strength that he is shown on the defensive front, he didn't have a huge frame this time out but his Greenwood is impressive there second time out of the having him translating to an outside linebacker the next level he's seen the speed he's tracked down walking wide a couple of times what does it sound like?
A love affair about the Archer Brothers, But they're pretty good.
That game of football is a pretty good choice for them.
Cash came into the game with 71 tackles, 18 tackles for loss and as you've mentioned several times, 16 sacks.
Very productive.
Bulldogs used their second time out to get back on the same on defense, maybe even give him a little bit of a breather so it'll be first and ten ball of the 36 walker since is back in motion he's got time those across the middle a little high incomplete electric cooperatives of Arkansas throughout there are 17 electric distribution cooperatives throughout the state.
It's proud to support Spotlight and celebrate Arkansas student athletes and Arkansas PBS Sports.
For more info, he's got an ABC SI.com down to 49 seconds to play second content.
Young Better be on Gatorade.
Bucket Watch.
It's coming Walker to his receiver hit while he was trying to catch it.
It's a good play by the defense Landon Nelms we've called his several times today of the Nelms boys team played well in coverage of 47 passing now Walker and almost 50 pass attempts.
We talked about maybe the key to the game, maybe being green was running the football.
He didn't agree with us 23 rushes just 59 yards, third and ten for Walker White quick pass across the middle has a receiver that's a first down down to about the 21 yard line three three.
Greenwood brought an extra blitz of air from the outside of Wyatt recognizes the hot route gets it quickly to the slant picks another first down Good catch by Howard White in the pocket.
Throws it outside.
Was it picked?
It was They did pick it off Caden Nelms that time his fourth interception of the year trying to put too much on it did White led his receiver too much wants to be a clean play nice diving catch by Nelms and Greenwood's going to be able to take a knee great angle he caught that no problem there that will do it.
Is that Neal's second interception?
Did he have one earlier in the game?
Caden Nelms one Brady Mackey with one.
Landon Nelms with the other Nelms.
Yeah.
Now you're on Gatorade.
Watch one knee and we're out of here.
Archer Does it take knee?
GREENWOOD You can celebrate now.
The final 20 seconds are ticking off the clock.
Chris Young takes off his headset.
Greenwood is lining up at the 50 yard line, already going across, Here come the Warriors to shake hands.
Go Bulldogs In the losing streak at War Memorial Stadium.
They're going back home with the state trophy.
Started with the statement.
You mentioned them earlier in the benefit game against Fayetteville.
It ends with a statement, a dominating performance by Greenwood here in War Memorial.
They get that proverbial monkey off their back and the trophy that's going back to Titletown, as they like to call it.
Greenwood with World Championship perfect year 13 Ode to the Bulldogs.
Stick around.
We'll hear from Coach Young and your MVP in a few moments.

Greenwald wins the six eight state Title 4123.
Let's take a look at some of your final stats.
Some impressive numbers for the Bulldogs GM 438 yards, total yards, 255 passing, 187 rushing.
They've been pretty balanced all year long tonight, no difference.
24 first downs for Greenwood.
They own the time of the possession.
They own the fourth quarter.
Little Rock Christian had to go fast pace.
They got a lot of yards in the fourth quarter, 355 passing for Walker White and the Warriors.
Not many running yards just 87 on the night and turnovers a key number Greenwood wins the turnover battle and they are celebrating They just got their state trophy bill announced an MVP their Patriots some happy Bulldogs right now.
We'll hear from Coach Young here in a few minutes.
Let's take a look at some of the highlights and how the Bulldogs pulled it off off.
Like herding cats, getting ready, everybody ready for a picture and feeling you want to go through.
We're going to start it with Grant Cornes 27 yard pass from Kayne Archer early in the first it made it seven to nothing.
They added to the lead when Kayne Archer had the little sneak trying to get more good play from Little Rock Christian, the got on the board in the second quarter Tate Bowman with the catch made it 14 62. conversion was no good.
Grant Arrington what a great move down the sideline 24 yards that made it 21 to 6.
Greenwood Warriors got a field goal with the end of the Greenwood, got a couple of field goals in the third quarter with a little Rock.
Christian gets the touchdown of the tip pass.
That was an incredible play.
Jacob Field was the right person at the right time, 2716 at the time.
But then Braden Daniels over a four yard run right there.
Warriors come back Tristan Watson with the touchdown reception 3423 for Kane Archer seals it right there with the two yard touchdown run.
4123 Your final score Kane Archer with the last touchdown And he was named You're MVP What a great night for March for four total touchdowns two on the ground two passing he threw for 187 yards 22 of 29 to 82 282 yards of total offense.
The four touchdowns did it all.
But maybe the most impressive thing is he got out of the way in that fourth quarter, didn't need to pass the football himself.
He knew that, hey, I'm just going to hand it off, trust my offensive line.
But for someone who's a sophomore to come out and go against who a lot of people think is the top quarterback in the state of Arkansas, to go out there and outplay him says a lot about what the future holds for Kayne Archer.
Go down to the field and check in with Kyle Kuzma.
I'm around you, you're all wet, you know, I caught you for a moment back there just kind of taking this all in.
What does this one mean to finally get over the hump to finish like this with a state championship for this team.
Yeah.
Just so proud of these kids, man.
We've got an unbelievable group of young men and they work so hard and, and, you know, in this sport, sometimes you work really hard and it still doesn't go your way at the end.
And for it to end up this way and for these guys to get the ring they deserve with a perfect season is just I'm just so happy for them and our coaches.
Our coaches worked so dang hard and it's just happy, man.
Just excitement, joy.
You don't get to face this way very often, and when you do, you get to take full advantage of it.
That fourth quarter, just the way you wore them down with your offensive line.
Yeah, proud of our offensive line because we struggled a little bit early in the and you know, struggle run the football and we knew we had run the football to beat them.
But coming back on the fourth quarter, two huge drives where they knew we were going to run it, we were still able to run it.
That was big.
Congratulations, Mike.
Yeah, Appreciate it.
Thank you.
Kyle will get MVP Kane Archer in just a moment, but the Greenwood Bulldogs cap a perfect season when 13 and of course with the bye week they started number one they finished number one and they're likely going to be the preseason number one coming up next year.
We'll get Kane Archer in just a minute.
Again, 280 yards of total offense, four touchdowns for the green wood quarterback.
Final numbers for Walker White.
They've got to mention 355 yards passing three touchdowns, but three interceptions as well.
Total yards for Little Rock, Christian for 14 for 38 for the Greenwood Bulldogs.
But they win the battle that matters most and that's the score on the board.
4123 the final as Kyle is still trying to track down Kane Archer and you see the brothers right there Cash and King with an embrace in a championship.
They'll be able to celebrate this win all the way back to Sebastian County.
Those two certainly earned it.
See if we can get Kyle down there.
And then tonight, Coach Young already talked to look like we're going to get Kane.
We'll Well, call it good.
They're coming up tomorrow, though.
We've got two more championship games.
That's all.
Going to start at noon Once again, I believe Kyle is down there with Kane, aka the MVP.
I'm going to really quickly get you.
You got to pinch yourself.
You're a sophomore to win the state championship.
Congratulate you.
Yes, sir.
Thank you so much.
It means a lot.
All these seniors.
I'm losing all of them.
I just tried to play for them the whole game, the whole season.
I love all these guys.
How is it to be so calm, so cool, so collected on this stage?
Yeah.
I mean, you just got to think that.
