As Hackett and Babs Prep are meeting for the second consecutive year here in the state final alongside Madison Fitzpatrick and Bobby Swafford.
Welcome to the scoring table.
And kind of like what we saw last year, two really evenly matched teams should be a good one.
It's been a back and forth battle so far throughout the entire day.
So I expect nothing less, especially because this is a little grudge match.
So let's take a look at how these two teams got to this point.
And we'll start with the visitors on the scoreboard, The Baptist Prep, Lady Eagles, I mentioned, they are the defending state champion.
They see about midway through the bracket.
They were the number one seed and they took care of Salem Parish and then Harding Academy and that semifinal matchup to get to this point.
A big reason why they're here.
And we saw last year the 511 senior, Abby Renshaw, the outside hitter of Renshaw, has 478 kills on the season, hitting well over 350, which is such an impressive efficiency number, 222 digs.
So a six rotation player and 95 aces.
She has been the hot hand, she has been the go to.
She's been their leader on defense and I expect her to come up big in this match at this prep, expected to be here and they expected to face Hackett and that's who exactly they're going to face.
Let's see how the Lady Hornets got to this point.
The record of 35, one and two top of the bracket, the number one seed, they had no issues and they took down Manila central Arkansas Christian and Crowley Ridge all in three set sleep.
So there's a big reason why they're here.
But their center number 15, Perry Vaughn a big way to start yet Vaughn, a junior five nine setter 966 assists this season Turner nine digs so really good on defense as well 21 blocks in 67 aces She's the school record holder for assists so she's got great setter hitter connection with all of her hitters.
And when speaking with Coach Freeman before the game she said she's done it all this season contributes in all aspects of the game a leader on and off the court and just provides that extra push when Hackett needs it.
We're going to talk about career leaders a lot for the second team because they've got a lot of them and that Kenzie Freeman as their new career leader and she's just a junior.
You mentioned the new leader for assists and proven Mikayla Freeman.
Also going to be right there leads the team in kills this season.
So a lot of a lot of really young talent from both of these squads.
But let's take a look at the starting lineup.
Who is going to start first up for Baptist Prep as these two teams are getting ready to take the floor across the school in the head coach for the Lady Eagles record of 35 to enroll And then another rusher wide field are Renshaw O'Dell, Midkiff and Jackson.
Well, as far as Hackett's starting lineup, you're going to see the name Freeman a lot.
Yes they are the coach's daughters.
You've got Mackenzie and Mikayla in there right there, Aubrey Ruggles, Rothwell, Von Gant and Oxford's going to be the starting lineup for Hackett.
I always like to look.
Okay.
How'd you get here?
Who you beat to the point, Hackett beat to a finalist, and now to a state champion, Mansfield They beat for a finalist.
Shiloh Christian.
Oh, by the way, they beat six eight scores beaten Bill South Side in Bentonville west.
Pretty big resume there for Hackett.
On the other side, Baptists.
Yep.
All they've done is well, they beat the four.
Finally Shiloh Christian.
They beat both five finalists and beaten in Greenwood.
That's coming up later tonight.
And their only two losses this year for about RIP.
Also came two teams that are playing today for championships in Brooklyn and Benton.
So pretty impressive resume between these two teams That's why they are a combined 73 and three.
Wow.
Oh, my goodness.
Those are such impressive numbers.
These are some three schools that are playing at the level of some six eight schools.
Very impressive.
So that just means the level of play is going to be intense and elite and I am excited for it.
Yeah.
You know, these two teams knew that they were going to have a chance, but obviously a lot of things going to happen.
They knew they're going to have a chance to play for a championship and they scheduled like and that's why you go out and play in tournaments.
So you're going to face teams that are also competing for state champions.
So those two teams battle tested and it's a rematch from last year's title match with Baptist.
One, two, three, oh sweep.
We'll see what happens this time around.
You know, spell it out package another 22 McKenzie Freeman We'll try to get those two right all day long, I promise.
I'm going to mess it up once or twice.
But she starts it off with a girl that's her 400th and one kill of the season and 102 aces.
She does it all for this team.
We can expect her to get set a lot back at.
We're in the Black and Gold Baptist Prep, the Navy in red, Nice, big on the back row for the Lady Hornets.
We're going to see a lot of that coming from the outside.
ERs number 12.
We talked about her in the opening.
Abby Renshaw, all the 511 senior hammers that went home.
And we can already hear the fans behind us chanting Abby Renshaw.
She's a fan favorite and they're going to feed her the ball a lot.
We're going to expect to see number 12, a name called a ton, as low as 22 for packet and Rachel first time didn't work, a second time did.
So back to back pills now for Renshaw and BAM the trip has an early two one advantage and can we talk about that set from Abby Fielder flying into the air?
It's a jump set, perfectly timed and placed right to Abby Renshaw.
Shoulder near the ball.
So we get the ball now.
We can play some volleyball.
Can't play without the ball.
Funny how that works.
I serve there from Rachel Jackson from Baptist Prep Premium.
No cross court attack, finds the orange fake and evens up the match at two apiece.
It's a really nice deep cross court swing just landing in that deep corner.
And that's what she got to do against Baptist Prep's defense, which is so solid.
You got to paint those lines and hit between two defenders screaming and serve handle by Baptist Prep and Renshaw right down the middle, drives one home three points for Baptist Prep, three kills for Abby Renshaw and that's a sign of a good hitter right there.
She can hit from the outside, she can hit the quick set, and then she can come through the middle and catch Hackett's block off guard.
And that's a next level player, there's no question about it.
And see how Hackett moves the block to adjust an attack.
Save on Baptist Prep, see how they rally.
Nice little tough to cross.
And when Andy Fielder puts it where they're not.
And the Lady Eagles have an early four two lead.
So Addie Fielder has a 400% hitting percentage, which means she is scoring quite efficiently as the setter, dumping it into the open court quite effectively.
Auburn up out one sales leader Crenshaw can't get it down and McCallum Freeman watching it go wide So you may be asking about the Freeman's Mackenzie number 22 the six one junior McCaslin a six foot sophomore.
No, by the way, they're really good at softball, too.
Oh, wow.
Yeah.
Our record book maybe rewrote, rewritten.
I'm talking about the Triple H, not necessarily just hack.
It's that one, though.
Apparently blocked in a probably the least emphatic kill of the day.
So far for Intel, but it all counts the same.
Exactly.
A tool is not the flashiest of kills, but it really is frustrating for the defense who's just right there to get a hand on it.
But just not technically sound enough.
Renshaw to serve for Baptiste Prep one goal outside of Macallan.
Nice dig there.
Diving.
A little bit of miscommunication there from bad to spread to know who's going to take the attack mentality solid get it across him Hackett able to keep it alive.
Great effort on the back row from Vonn, by far the longest rally we've had up to this point.
So block there for Hackett.
But I can't get the rebound move that was Ryan Rusher with the kill so the first kill from someone not named Renshaw they're bad this prep was a great attack by rusher just took her time on that approach and then swung at the ball.
It's such a high contact point over the net tooling the block in between the seam.
Lily Oxford handles the serve the scrap.
It's a hit from a from the back row and that's a kill for fielder seven three here in this opening set of the three state championship match in simply intensity already more so than we had in the last match multiple fan bases already into it and both student sections pretty loud.
That's a step into the next Hackett bench Big fan of that.
Oh, Lexi Gann served a left hander for Hackett.
What sit there for Babbitt's prep at Hackett there defensively they put down Aubrey Ruggles, the 510 senior struggles 190 kills and 53 blocks on the season.
You see her work really hard in transition to get off the net and then that cross-body swing hitting away from Fielder that one going to go wide attack from bad This prep's Ryan rusher was off the mark so Hackett's called back into this now they trail seven six and marvelous prep though comes right back and Giddens goes the rusher and the block can't get in front and keeps the lady Eagles out in front And I love that swing from Russia who was still aggressive even though she air the point before swinging through that ball with just as much power as the one before.
No fear from her right there.
Go back hammered home by Freeman and MacLean puts it down, gets Hackett back within a point little beyond serves.
But Kalyn just a sophomore but so physical up there at the net you can tell from that swing she's got a lot of muscle and a lot of power for just being a sophomore.
She had a quick set and does just get over the net just enough by page way of the six to senior middle blocker for Babbitt's prep in the lady Eagles Stay out in front.
It's a great swing by Rob Webb excuse me and a great set by Adi Fielder, who's so athletic and dynamic jump setting every single ball, giving her hitters great opportunities.
It made care for the nice serve there for prep.
Yeah I was going to say a wide and handle it cleanly.
Too bad Miss Repsol hack I'll take the point in that within one half that set just a little too quick and wide out to the pen.
What would have been say along with is right at Freeman so she had to handle it and her sister finds a little hole and gets the kill and they are tied at nine That was Mackenzie Freeman, the junior six, one outside hitter, a six rotation player so tall hitting that point, hitting that ball at such a high point over the net.
Just taking a little bit off of it for the roll shot.
We're all squared up at nine apiece and game number one and Freeman's going to give Hackett the lead with the big curl.
It's that nice long approach that makes Mackenzie so efficient and effective at the pin.
She really waits on that ball and then speeds up those last two steps of her approach, swinging through and tooling off the high hands.
With all of that power.
A touch not there for Babbitt's prep, Hackett with a chance to take the lead and Freeman can do so.
Is that one sales why the Left and Baptist Prep is going to get to tie things back up.
It's in, but I think we're going to see a lot of ties, a lot of little runs back and forth battle like we've seen all day long.
For the first 20 points of this match.
These two teams look pretty even a quick set there for Hackett and the long touch this go is long.
A lot of Rothwell can't find it and prep back in front.
Yeah I think that's set just a little too low for Rothwell who was forced to tip it after a flurry of kills to start this match.
Abby Renshaw still on for We're back out to her though.
Alabama Kaitlyn Freeman.
Now McKenzie, her first attack is blocked for the half.
It stays with it.
Keep the thought alive.
Nice job not to give up on the play that time though.
The set too far towards the Nats.
An easy point for Baptist crap lay back in front by a deuce.
It's a great cover by Hackett really expecting that ball to come over which is what you need to every time NC Freeman hammers one down there that's her fifth kill the match she's leading the way for Hackett it's now 1211 Lady Eagles out in front but Hackett with the serve Here's Perry Ron Renshaw she goes crosscourt that one did not catch the pair.
Oh they are going to say it's over the head official overrules the line Judge going to give the kill to Renshaw if I definitely thought that was in to right to that deep corner, just powering through that ball in between two defenders, Renshaw can really hit every area of the court, remain with the touch, but that is Prep able to rotate over.
Great dig there by Vaughn to keep the boy alive for Hackett Renshaw fires one right here on the scorer's table and that's her sixth kill of the match.
Renshaw works really in transition to get very far off the net because as 511, you're a little bit more undersized than the blocker.
You have to have all that power momentum moving forward in your approach.
I go back to Renshaw on the outside that runs long.
You can tell when Renshaw is on the floor they're going to force feed her, they're going to get her the ball as much as they can and any kind of scoring opportunity with that one does go long.
So it's 1412 Lady Hornets trailing and make it 1512 of that serve goes long and settle down We're about halfway home here in the first 11 kills up to this point for AB prep seven for Hackett even though the Lady Hornets have a better hitting percentage that they can't leave control but no harm done.
Freeman hammers it home from the outside.
McCallum, Freeman Hill number two in this first set that point was all the Freeman's a great dig by McKenzie who lined up really well and read that shoulder and then the Freeman putting the ball away the outstanding sophomore as coach Freeman calls her a lot of Rothwell and serve.
I think I have a chance to attack here back to Freeman but blocked right in the middle that goes wide so the block attempts from Baptist preps Summer Odell was there but couldn't control it and Hackett gets the point It's a good shot of coach Bridget Freeman telling her service where to go the thing it's not in real time otherwise would you consider cheating?
Yeah, we don't need a Tom Brady scandal out here.
I'm not going to scream out where she's telling her serve.
So obviously they hold up numbers one through five and that's all about possessions on the court, correct?
Yep, It's actually one through six, but it was a close enough.
Six is deep, middle, middle back.
Yeah that one is where the service yet to get creative with that six finger.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's the beauty holding up the clipboard.
You're exactly right that one time at home from the Mikayla Freeman and that's all of it to exploit weaknesses, rotations and defenses, things, things of that nature.
Correct.
Exactly.
You want to serve the weakest receiver on the other team so you target them every single time and Shaw nice job from the back row just to find a little open space that the scrap has been able to keep the lead ever so slightly.
Now at 1715, every time Hackett seems to get right there to tie it up, they make a big play.
Yeah, you can tell that.
Renshaw is a senior.
She plays really maturely.
She's very far off the net, a little off balance, so she took a little bit off that role, shot it because she knew it would get in that way.
It's Abby Sullivan on the serve and a big time strike from Aubrey Longo's elevation, and this puts it down.
And I can tell Ruggles is definitely a passion and fire leader out there on the court, too.
Every time she gets a kill, she's screaming, which you always need.
Players like that on the court.
And those two teams are just letting it play out there hasn't really make any big runs.
That's why we haven't seen any time outs that serve right into the net.
And Babbitt's prep lead back up to two.
It's kind of one of those clean matches so far at this point, there's no big runs that really calls for a timeout.
So he just kind of let it play out and and see where you're at as you to the latter later moments kind of where we are now that has been pretty clean hack it with only two service errors Baptist prep with only one agreement back dug out on the back row.
The Baptist Prep can take advantage.
Yeah.
Raymond did work on the first time.
McKenzie drives it home on the second, and now it seen 17 hack it the chance to serve and tie this one up.
Yep She got a second chance and she delivered great defense by Renshaw lining up but couldn't control it on her side of the net and she paid with that over pass Nice block there in the middle by Rothwell and Freeman with the touch just over the block there we are all tied up at 18 apiece here in the first McKenzie Freeman her seventh kill getting well over 400 Great showing so far from her And again the block throws up and again it's Rothwell she's coming up big at the next that's her first time out of the match as bad as her up want to talk it over as Hackett has reeled off three straight points and they've taken the lead 19 to 18 and will step aside for 30.
Stick around there.
Wrap up set number one right after this.
I chose a car that would be safe for our family.
And when it comes to our financial future, I don't take any chances there either.
That's why we banks continue.
They give me everything I could want in a bank from the latest technology to great service.
But the biggest thing that gives me confidence.
So in a time when there's plenty of things to worry about, my money isn't one of them.
That when these we're focused on what matters.
That's why we've made our hamburgers square.
When you want to experience the delicious taste of Wendy's hamburgers, just ask, What is the beef?
Big run here by Hackett as they've taken a 1918 lead.
And how important would this first set be for the Lady Hornets?
After getting swept by Babbitt's rep in the finals a year ago?
It would be absolutely huge.
It would show Baptist Prep that they're a different team than they were last season.
It would give them some confidence moving forward.
It show they're in a good rhythm for first set.
Is everything.
Go right back.
The red cell, that one they dug out nicely by Freeman on the back row.
They go to her sister on the far side a touch at the nets big attack there nicely put down from Ryan rusher ties the match up at 19 apiece Ryan Rusher took advantage of that middle blocker not being able to get in and close it and she powered through that seam We've seen that a lot so far today the rusher three kills that second most so far for Baptist prep that one on the line they say coach Freeman actually shakes her head in agreement even though she may not like it.
So the Lady Eagles take the lead back at 2019.
A great serve by Russell Rusher with the kill rusher with the A's.
It tends to happen like that sometimes.
Freeman, though, comes right back a nice job you think that maybe the quick sets coming right in the middle when they push down to the outside and McKenzie drives it home and it's a pretty quick set to the pen as well which is a difficult set to block.
And a lot of times you leave seams open when the set is that quick and near the blocker, it's hard to get there in time.
With Renshaw on the outside, that one drilled home goes cross-court.
Nice job, elevate and put pressure on that hacking defense.
Yeah.
Renshaw has like you said, Elevate I think is the perfect word.
She has such a high vertical and then her arm swing is so quick and that just puts the ball down in such a fast pace now and not able to get a hand underneath though.
So the ace for him at this prep in the Lady Eagles have reeled off three straight points to take a 22 point lead.
So Hackett takes their first time out of the match.
We'll keep it here, though.
So this is what it's all about.
You take the time out, you get a run and see.
Babb is probably even the coach get into it.
They're trying to get the crowd jazzed up.
This is a big, big run for the Lady Eagles.
Yeah.
Speaking of Baptist preps coach, I've always loved watching her during the play.
She is so passionate and fiery and into it and I think the Lady Eagles definitely emulate and mirror her type of passion and fire as a team.
They've got over 1300 digs and they're hitting over 300.
So that's that's why Baptist Prep is where they are and the resume speaks for itself.
35 victories on the season.
I've talked about who they have beaten earlier this year, and you're talking about Shiloh, Christian Vinton in Greenwood, who were all coming up in the next two matches.
So some quality victories.
And now they're three points away from taking this opening set.
And Hackett obviously stands in their way and they try to inch back into it.
Good.
Look at Coach Crystal Spoon and leader of this Baptist prep volleyball squad after that's to scramble around to get that one across and they do so they have a sprint chance to attack with the blocks there for the lady hornets and three man drives it home.
That's a big point there for the Lady Hornets falling down three at this juncture would have been critical.
Mackenzie Freeman, her ninth kill hitting well over 500.
What can't she do with the block?
And then the overpass swing so consistent all three sets it nice job there by Hackett they recognize that may be bad this prep is out of position and just go ahead and dumps it over to keep two for one for McCallum Freeman blocked out and ties the matchup at 22 Pretty unconventional but I love to see it doing whatever it takes to get the ball, touch the court and outside of Renshaw Wow and hits the net and now Hackett has a chance to take advantage Freeman off the block and Hackett with three straight points and the Lady Hornets are two points away and Baptist Prep's going to take a timeout.
So we'll step aside or some real quick.
Back at 2322 in the first set the step aside as you you're to the two way state volleyball championship every moment for every memory from that first car to your first home to your first child and all the highs and low to my life break for everything that matters most to you and your family.
There's someone here in the corner dedicated to helping you protect what you love.
Your local farm bureau, the insurance agent, Farm Bureau insurance, real service, real people.
Here's a look at that last blaze.
Hackett hammers one home and they've two in the last three points of the match and lead it 2322 and they'll be on serve.
McKay Lynn Freeman for the Lady Hornets will have a serve tonight.
Set number one still up for grabs.
This is a huge point for both sides.
Oh, when Charlie set her and she comes from that back line and just drives it home and quickly ties this match up.
Yep.
Branch out.
Got some bounce to her approach so explosive she gets great space from the ball and has all that momentum moving forward Just really bouncy up there.
We're all knotted up at 23 outside the McCallum Freeman that was often left hand excuse the nets and the kill.
So they're starting to go to the elder Freeman later in this first set her seventh kill the match.
And now it is set point for the Lady Hornets.
It's the Freeman Show over there for Hackett right now 16 kills between the sister waffle serve handled by Baptist Brett tip handle though Hackett with a chance to put it away Freeman That one goes long low opportunity lost there for the lady Hornets see Baptist Prep can now take advantage of it it's a really good look at it there.
No touch off serving for Baptist Prep A quick step there for Hackett, but dug out nicely on the back row that one lane just beyond the line.
And now it's set point for Babb this prep this is such a high level volleyball on both sides of the net and a lot of passion, a lot of fire from both sides.
You're going to see the enthusiasm that coach Chris the spoon has there no celebration after that point.
There's a long way to go, but yet there's only one point left here in this match.
This is a good look at it.
That one lands just wide.
A great awareness there by Rachel Jackson to recognize that she's standing on the sideline and make sure that one goes.
Goes what?
Exactly?
And we haven't talked about Rachel Jackson that much, but she has come up big for her team with some really scrappy, all out laying out digs, getting close to 400 digs on the season.
She's been a staple in that defense and she leads them so well, It's 2520 for you.
Look at the stat sheet and you think it's going to be running away with this hitting for 44 compared to this to 86 for Baptist Prep.
But some of those on those errors, the mention of a couple of aces from the script of Captain Wilson, obviously very rare on set point that one can be handled by the block.
And so Hackett quickly ties this one up.
You have to win by two.
So we'll play until now, until eternity, if we have to in this first set until eternity.
I like that there's no cap drop.
A they're not successful.
But Renshaw her attack dug out nicely again so Hackett it the team a miscommunication.
Hackett can't handle the twist although the slight as you call it.
Yeah it does look like a twist though You are twisting your whole body and you're wrapping around the backside of your setter.
You're trying to create seams in the block and capitalize through those.
Seems to get the kill.
Well, Summer O'Dell gets the and she's at serve so Hackett has to score here that went into the net though and Baptist press is going to take this opening game entertaining on 2725.
Don't go anywhere And we've got a lot more volleyball to happen as you're watching the Centennial State Volleyball Championships presented by Everett View and GMC and it's on Arkansas PBS Sports.
I chose a car that would be safe for our family.
And when it comes to our financial future, I don't take any chances there either.
That's why we better continue.

From another planet.
We're on the case.
Thank you, Mystery League, for solving this mystery.
Looks like we have some new help in the marketing department.
Action.
Hi.
Into the area.
With everything you can see, I think you do the work out here.
I'm fine, thank you.
How do you do it?
Family and customer friends.
I am Liane Taffy.
Very big DNC.
All right.
I am.
I actually a big star.
Today's Arkansas PBS student, all star.
For the last three days, Laney Marsh from Episcopal Collegiate, the outside hitter, a middle blocker, has a 4.06 GPA.
As a sophomore, she plans to attend college in major in business.
Well, playing either basketball or volleyball.
Congratulations to our all star students of the game, Lainey.
March basketball or volleyball, that's very impressive to have either of those options set the goal high.
We're seeing at the college level for Colorado, you can play both sides of the football.
Why not play multiple sports?
Steve The barriers have been broken down.
Anyone can anything so right.
So that first set was impressive on both sides, to be quite honest.
Baptist Prep in Hack, you can tell these two teams are on the same level as far as talents.
A couple of hitting errors here and there certain proved to be the difference.
Two service areas for Hackett, this one for Babbitt's prep, really nothing jumps off the statute that says, okay, this team is significantly better than the other.
Exactly.
Both teams should be very proud of how they played that first set.
Now it's going to be about which team went back to their huddle, maybe developed a little better strategy, which team can bounce back and play the best after what they learned after that first set.
And also, how does Hackett handle the the adversity of dropping the first set?
They haven't lost this set the state tournament.
So how do they have to adapt to this point?
Daddy Renshaw all starts off the second set on the kill and she's already in double figures.
It's the 11th kill of the match.
Take a look at the quick stats the rusher with four kills now Renshaw with 11 for Mabus Prep and Freeman and Freeman not the law firm.
The sisters have nine and eight respectively, and that serves those long.
Yeah, the outsides, the pin hitters have really been dynamic and effective for both teams so far.
Both these teams hitting percentages over 300 packets, over 400 assists.
Mackenzie Freeman on to serve at the strip, goes to that right side and put down nicely by Paige Webb.
A six foot two middle blocker gets the kill Baptist Prep is really skilled at running that slide so whenever they're in system I would look for them to do it more because they've been pretty effective and successful running that slide and I stick by the Lady Eagles run in the back row it's hip doesn't work for either side.
So baby step reset and chop tries to find the hole and she does took a little off there found the defense out of position and gets the easy point.
Renshaw from the back row.
Renshaw from the front row often it on the net right side middle.
It doesn't matter.
She's able to find the open court so well, a little attack there from Hackett's dug out nicely, kept alive for Baptist Prep go kind of a scramble drill on both sides to finally put down that right tackle is going to get the point that this prep into the net.
It's our first net violation of the match.
These two teams have been pretty clean.
Now, both teams pretty calm and cool up there.
Usually jitters and nerves.
High level.
Yeah, this is this is good volleyball.
If you don't watch a lot of volleyball, you may not know the difference between good and bad credits.
The final results too good for this.
This is good.
Clean volleyball is good.
Three volleyball for sure.
Now I know that's job defensively by Baptist Prep keeps it alive back from the back row three Freeman's come back the other way and Powell left on that one.
The ball came out spinning a lot of double hits from Abby's prep has an early four two lead and you see them pushing Ryan Rusher all over the place.
That's because her defense has been unstoppable, making some plays that you think of all the touch the ground.
But no, she's there.
She's underneath it and she's scooping it up.
Nice job there.
Kind of a fake out there.
The opposition you throw a fake hitter at you, you hammer home behind you.
Yep.
Called a stack.
The middle comes in.
So you want the middle blocker or the opposing blocker to jump with the middle and then you want your outside to wrap around and swing.
And that was really good execution.
Renshaw tries it go down the line that was blocked with it can't get the line so.
Renshaw is credited with the kill.
So on that stack you talk about, there's two things that I guess to go along with that.
One is supposed to pick out the defense.
You don't know who's getting the ball, but also throw off the timing because I would assume the front attacker is leaping just before the ball.
Yeah, exactly.
The front attacker is leaping before it.
So you want the block to jump with the front attacker.
And we actually I think that's the first act we've seen all day.
So pack it performing at a very high level offensively.
And that's also a tribute to their setter Prairie Von Ruggles there with the kill pulls the Lady Hornets within a point that serve go into the net third service air of the match for Hackett to serve from Sullivan.
The lacrosse score that one can't catch the line sails just long the attack from the Lexie gain and about to stretch leads push out to three get Baptist prep finding some momentum here using those Hackett errors go back to Mackenzie Freeman and still get on the back row one shot.
That same thing happens on this side, the block not there.
And they get called for a lift and Freeman credited with the Q that's a big point there for for Hackett these two teams back and forth you really feel like a commanding lead, maybe three or four.
Exactly.
There's no commanding leads, which makes it that much more fun now.
Both Freeman Sisters with Ten Kills, seven five Baptist Prep with the lead right back outside to Freeman dug out nicely by Renshaw that's back row is doing a nice job digging it out Chance here for Hackett gets something going offensively Freeman Blackwell on into the next That's a big point there for the Lady Eagles and the blocks are one thing we haven't really talked about a whole lot but you can tell maybe it's starting to creep into the mind because so many balls are getting put back the other way.
Exactly.
Even if it isn't blocks that are recorded as blocks because they're not terminal, they're still getting great touches on the ball and slowing that ball down for their defense to scoop up serve there from Baptist Prep and Hackett able to get it across on that one goes just wide so Freeman again credited with the kill Kind of an odd point but counts just the same matter All points are clean Exactly.
It's not pretty, but a point is a point all the same.
Deep serve I find so bad this rep has to scramble to get that one around.
Kind of a changeup, if you will.
You probably expect that one to come in a little hotter from Russia and Hackett's defense can adjust and gets the point in off speed shot sometimes does the trick.
And Ryan Rauscher doing a really good job seeing the other side of the net and knowing what's going to go down.
Set number two here in the three state championship match back to script, lead one to right now Hackett trying to battle back in set number two that one say his love to the Hackett crowd the Hackett bench still into it and although probably outnumbered 3 to 1 maybe 4 to 1 here in the crowd of course Babb is scrapping Little Rock a whole lot closer, the hot Springs and the old Portsmouth River Valley is River Valley is well represented here today, not a PAC wide off a deflection.
So Renshaw with the kill Renshaw with all that powered, it's because her approach is so quick.
She has such a long approach.
It really allows her to reach her full potential On her vertical.
She's hitting for 44 so far this game so efficient because she gets set so much.
So to be able to terminate that effectively is really impressive.
Really nice serve there from Jackson but handle by Hackett now off the deflection and the lady hornet stop the mini run I'll mention the river valley well-represented We've already seen Mansfield win the two way championship.
Greenwood's coming up on the nightcap in the five eight championship.
You're the good volleyball in the Fort Smith area.
It's pockets of northwest Arkansas, obviously central Arkansas.
And forget about Northeast either.
That one's hammered home all by Renshaw and we'll talk about it more in the next match.
I got to next to the valley of you, not in the finals for the first time in 20 years.
Yeah, that was surprising to me to see.
So it's almost like there's, there's a few teams that it's like, oh, they're going to be there.
And that's a shocking when it doesn't happen here.
It's a testament that that kind of program the Blazers put together that won blocks and put down four hits and that one never actually got over the net.
So pack it down 12 to 8.
And I mentioned that maybe a three or four point lead feels commanding Lady Hawks can't let this one get too much larger than Mikayla Freeman.
Freeman wanted that set little tighter big attack there in the middle back there in charge into the net it's Hackett so that's a five point advantage now for Baptist Prep Yeah just little mistakes here and there Renshaw coming in.
Oh yeah.
You just see the fingertips touching the top of the net.
So close the margin of error is minimal.
It's our first look at Kenley James number nine for Hackett.
She's on the floor now.
That one goes crosscourt from Renshaw, puts it down, and Hackett's going to take a time out.
14 to 8.
The largest lead of the match so far.
We'll take it with them, Lady Horn.
It's got to get it going here in the second.
Stick around.

So Hackett takes the time out, trailing 14 to 8 well after they drop a tightly contested first set.
If you're Coach Freeman, what are you telling your squad?
I think you're telling your team they know what they're doing well, they know what their strengths are.
I think they need to utilize that a little bit more than they need to shut down.
Abby Renshaw Maybe focus more on her on the block and then as a defense, try and fill in those gaps.
If you see there's going to be a hole between the middle blocker and the right side blocker, you need to dive in there and fill those gaps, do everything you can to dig her.
So Hackett hit over 400 in the opening set, hitting this 150 here in set number two, that's got to be cleaned up.
They want to get back into it.
That's a good start right there.
As Mikayla Freeman hammers one home and a late substitution coming in as Dan checks back in for the Lady Hornets.
I would have discussed the substitution rules, but there's not enough time in the broadcast.
Just yeah, there's too many.
There are certain players who don't have to check in there.
Other players do have to check in.
We're not going to waste your time.
That sort of goes into the matter if you really want to know.
Look it up.
It is it is interesting, but we've got too much game to play.
Check out the NFA chess handbook if you got some, you know, a free weekend.
59 Lady Eagles have the advantage block there but can't put it down.
So nice job by Hackett.
To prevent a run they've got to put together a run themselves.
They can't just trade points with that to scrap it at this juncture, 15, ten job by both sides to prevent an attack.
It's set there for Hackett Nice long touch for the lady Hornets give the credit to Ruggles for finding the hole at Ruggles, the only other player on Hackett's team who's gotten any kills.
She's at four right now.
Really smart tip really good court vision by her.
Yeah.
Nice job there by Prairie Vaughan.
You mentioned nobody else had a kill That was kind of the unconventional side behind the behind the head.
But the Baptist prep defense wasn't ready for it.
Nice point for Hackett.
Yeah, that was amazing.
That was a no look drop shot right behind her.
Super athletic and dynamic and a reserve rusher for that district.
So that's an ace for the Lady Hornets and Baptist Prep.
Awesome.
Take a quick time out to stop this run.
It's four straight points for the Lady Hornets exactly what they needed to get back into this match at 1513.
Yeah a lot of the times you need a power play, maybe a wow play that we just had right there with Perry Vaughn dumping the ball behind her head.
She's been so consistent them.
She was our impact player at the beginning of the match.
And sometimes in games like this, you need a player to light a little spark throughout the rest of the team.
And Trayvon just did that.
And that followed by an ace and a good time out use by coach Crystal Spoon and Baptist Prep.
No point let this run run any farther at least try not to kind of stunt the growth if you will.
That ball will run and it's a good look at coach crystal spoon again talking with her squad having a conversation with Addy Fielder and we're ready to resume play three AA state championship.
Yes we're almost halfway home today.
Two more championships coming up, four and five eight.
So just lose the remote.
There's nothing else happening today.
Freeman, go get on the back row.
The second chance that I'm taking advantage of.
You can't give Freeman's either of the Freeman's an overpass because they are so tall, they jump so high and they're so efficient on offense.
They will definitely take advantage and make you pay five straight points for Hackett by the script.
Oh, she changes her mind.
The.
I'm just going to say that one's in Coach Freeman not agreeing with it.
Anybody can overrule it.
So that's going to be a point for Mathis, correct?
Hackett is not happy about that at all.
And of course, they're not.
They thought that it was far out.
I wish that high school had a challenge system like college does.
They definitely would have challenged that call.
They're going to bring in the two line judges because those are the two that they're going to confer with.
Of course, the the main official is on top of the chair at the far side for a moment.
He doesn't have a good angle at it.
This is obviously a big point because it's we're looking at a tie match or a two point lead for Baptist Prep.
They're going to keep the pair at the Lady Eagles.
So now if you're Hackett, you use that anger and that fire that you feel from being being robbed that point and use it to your advantage, you come out and swing away and you make them pay.
So we'll see how Hackett handles that.
Get him a tie match.
They're down by two tie.
Sometimes a tough call can go really hard one way or the other.
Freeman drives down the line, dug out Freeman again.
This time take some heat off of it and gets a point.
Back now at 1615, Mackenzie Freeman playing really, really maturely and with tons of experience.
That first swing was dug up, so she took some power off of it.
That Offspeed sharp shot is so good and efficient because the Baptist Prep defense is on their heels and quicksand for the average player.
But the blocks there fell on her off.
Well, you know, Elvis, return to sender.
Return to sender.
I like that they're using that fire.
They felt like they were robbed.
That one point that thought was out.
And now they're coming back with some aggression and tips.
But Hackett can't get there.
So Baptist Prep answers that six one scoring run with the point of their own and to regain the lead.
Well it's 1716 Lady Eagles and you got a point advantage and they have a set lead so Freeman on the outside that one deflected and that can be a handle on the back row.
So again we're just going to trade points kind of what we expected from these two teams, to be quite honest.
I said that three and four point runs aren't going to happen then it happens by both teams trying to cancel each other out, jinx them, goes cross door and can be handled.
Nice job by rusher to find a little open space.
And the Lady Eagles again back out in front and that's a little bit of a communication error from Hackett's defense Lily Oxford The libero should come in go in and take that ball.
And I think she knew after the play that that was hers.
They can handle the serve there.
That's going to be an ace for bad This prep night team 17.
That's a smart serve.
It's a deep flow, pushing the services back to the line and getting them a little out of system so it's harder for them to set the Freeman's by rusher Freeman there.
But the block is too much for a Baptist Prep.
Again, that hasn't been something that's been a big part of their game.
Their third block of the match going to lead to a timeout for them.
Hackett and his Baptist Prep leads at 2017 will step aside with them.
The Lady Hornets five points away from taking a21 lead.

Crucial moment here.
Four Hackett as Baptist Prep has reeled off three straight points and they lead at 20 to 17.
And the big reason for that has the service of Ryan Rusher still on serve a block again shows up page Webb the big six to middle blocker sends it back the other way her second block in the last four or five points and all of a sudden all the momentum is Warren Navy in red.
That was kind of a trap set for the middle.
Everyone was kind of stacked there in the middle and.
The attacker had nowhere to go.
That block was all too big blocks there against Renshaw.
But the post across this is a job done for Baptist.
Addie Fielder is good from every area of the court.
Her situational awareness as a setter is so strong.
And then you see they're just using her court vision over on one to the deep.
That is such a smart and mature shot that one sails long.
So it's 20 to 18 and you look at the score and what would have been who would you hate to point it, but to the point that was overturned, the call is changed, looms large at this juncture and block again shows up for a Baptist crap and wasn't there for the first game and a half is come up large in the last ten points.
And I think it's because they're getting more and more comfortable blocking the Freemans.
It's almost like they know it's going to go to them because it has been so much throughout this game and they'll of camp out and expect that ball to go there with 27 Oh, nicely done there for the 27 of the 32 kills for the match for Hackett after that one have gone through the Freeman.
So that's what you're talking about.
Baptist Prep can almost anticipate sitting at the block in front of 16 or 22.
Exactly.
And then you get there and all you had to do is press your hands over the net and read that shoulder, dive your arms into the seams.
The block shows up there for Hackett.
Now this prep able to keep it away to the line, will touch it, get to it right in front of a diving Rothwell set point for Baptist Prep.
Try to take it to a lead Abby Fielder on the serve and Fielder puts it down from the back row so bad this prep with a late run takes game number two and has a two nothing lead over Hackett So they had a chance to complete the sweep.

These are great championship keepsakes for all ages.
You got to started young not some high school sports madness prep has a two old lead What's with the coaching muscle back on if you're Coach Freeman, what are you telling your squad?
If I am Coach Freeman, I'm telling my squad I think we need to set the ball around two different attackers a little bit more.
I know that the Freeman's are their go tos, but this prep has been able to shut down the Freeman's as of late and I think that's because they're camping out on them.
They know the ball's going to them.
So if I'm Coach Freeman I want the ball spread out a little bit more on offense, maybe do some things unconventionally, some things you're not used to.
You have to lose.
But Page Webb leading the way for Baptist Prep was four blocks.
Yeah, Baptist preps five blocks to Hackett's to.
Other than that, the stats are pretty similar.
Both teams playing at a really high level.
Both teams have a lot of things to be proud about, but it's been Baptist Prep just closing it out a little bit more effectively.
So five blocks as a team from Abdi's prep for coming from Webb, there's two blocks for Hackett.
But again, we've seen so many deflected balls at the net, but those numbers are a little misleading.
Exactly.
Touching the ball on the block is just as good as a block straight down.
So set three underway is heck.
It's looking to get back into this one.
That's a good way to start it.
As Freeman gets her 15th kill of the match and you mention they've got to move the ball around a little bit more.
28 kills between McKenzie McCallum and just six for the rest of the team.
For Hackett, that block is going to be there at least try to be there for Mabus Prep to slow those two down.
But it's worked all year for Hackett.
That's why they're here in the championship.
Right back to Freeman, tries to find space and two guys.
So really good start for Hackett if they want to get back into this match to a lead on back to back kills for McKenzie Freeman and I will say even though the Freeman's are getting set a lot, their efficiency numbers are still just as high they're still very very effective.
Grimshaw tries to find a hole great job on McCallum Freeman to dive and keep that one alive and want to do so again.
Nice hustle by the Hackett defense.
You got to leave it all out there.
Renshaw Her attacks blocked really good rally between Baptist Prep and Hackett right here.
Renshaw her attack reflector that one's going to go over media row, that's Baptist Prep, first podium of the game is an all around solid play from both sides the No but Abby Renshaw does such a good job transitioning really far off the net that you have to put in a lot work to get that far off the net and then come in and approach and swing as powerfully as she does.
Jackson served handled by Freeman Renshaw.
Big attack there dug out and attack goes long though so we're all squared up at two points apiece.
And as has been the case for literally two sets now, these two teams just going back and forth, who's going to be able to make that timely run to take again game first kick decided she wanted to go across quarter with the touch there and kind of got stuck in between was Freeman and so Mathis threat now is scored three straight that was a good idea there was a lot of chaos caused because of that really aggressive serve.
So that was a hard ball to tip.
Oh, nice job to recognize the double block was there and offered all those tips it over the defenders and gets the four point That's what I'm talking about moving the set around Baptist prep not as used to defending number 20 when Shaw comes to attack them Rob Lowe right there at the net.
Again, you have got to handle it there, though.
The second time she had elevate couldn't get the arms across and that one falls in front of herself.
Kill for Renshaw, number 19 of the match and I believe she's in line to win an MVP award if they happen to pull off this championship.
Absolutely.
And again, a miscommunication there from Hackett as Lexi Gannon's proven, we're both kind of in the same spot, the most listed as a setter.
Sometimes you got to have better communication out of it loud than you make it out here one another.
Yep, You got to overcommunicate.
Nice job.
I hack it there.
Go all the way crosscourt on the set and Mike Allen puts it down.
There's no wonder MacLean is leading her team in Kills.
She is so aggressive and powerful and physical.
She gets up so high over that net and contacts the ball at such a high point 413 kills on the season and a big block there for Hackett.
I love that fire from the sophomore pocket.
Just needs plays like that.
Different plays to fire their team up and get going in a groove.
Allen can't be dug out though, so Renshaw gets the kill from the right side.
It's six five Lady Eagles.
Renshaw has a ton of range and I think that's why Hackett's having a hard time defending her.
She can hit every single area of the court really uses her wrist and her vertical to her biggest advantage.
The touch there goes wide and a Baptist prep takes that point.
Seven five lead.
Good thought though, as the was getting set up that was a good thought.
She could definitely feel the presence of the block right in front of her.
Renshaw on serve at the seven five lead for the Lady Eagles that one driven home and Jackson can't handle it That was Macallan coming in through that stack again.
That's her 15th kill, you see.
I mean, she's hitting over the block and then avoiding their arms.
So.
Well, she's got great court awareness.
Taylor Nichols on the serve for Hackett and the BLOCK shows up again.
Nicely done.
Keeps it alive for Baptist Prep.
Harris Nichols with the big Raman puts one down from the back row.
The Freemans really do know how to score, hitting every single area of the court.
And that's why it's so good to have one on the front row, one on the back row.
You've got two different types options depending on where the passes.
Taylor Nichols, the five eight senior, that one and the same goes wide for Renshaw.
Also regains the lead at eight seven.
It's a good aggressive swing by Renshaw.
She hasn't had many errors so far though, right back to her on that back row, but dug out nicely by Freeman and the sister goes down and puts it down on the line So Mcaleny gets the kill.
You mentioned she led the team this season 413 coming into the match it's just 13 more than her sister had a lot of kills on one family that serve goes into the net and if I was the police officer I might look into 800 kills between the two sisters.
But yeah.
Wow.
It's killing is allowed in volleyball.
Oh, that as a dad joke right?
There it is.
But no, I mean so much power and I honestly take what I said about maybe spreading out the offense.
The Freeman sisters know how to score, and they're doing so at a really high efficiency.
Speaking of scoring at a high efficiency, there's not much defense that can be done with that.
As Freeman puts it down again, it's like both systems are heating up at the same time.
That's what Hackett needs to say.
Trail at two sets to none.
Got to find a way to extend the match block set up there nicely by Hackett Keep it alive and foul.
Like I say, it crossed a line that was Russell credited with the kill.
There has been some really close calls so far.
This match either painting the line or right out.
It's very difficult to tell without any slow motion replay.
Great deep swing by rusher in between two defenders rusher now a nine kills at second most in the match for a Baptist crap and that one goes into the net and that ties things up at ten apiece.
So there's so much that an aggressive serve can do and Baptist Prep is showing us that right here Freeman though answers right back Hill then to inside the block but they can't get it back up 1110 Hackett at that quick set really allows her to sneak that ball underneath the arms of the high flying Baptist Prep block.
I'm starting to see a lot more Ryan Rusher on the outside.
They're starting to feed her a little bit, not being so reliant on Renshaw, and that's a good idea.
She's now in double digits with ten kills in the match that ten kills and really, really solid on defense.
Rauscher has been two with eight digs.
Oh, Freeman says he can do it.
So good.
Nice hill number 19 for McKenzie It's the Freeman show out there you have to the center Prairie Vaughn doing a really good job finding those shoulders and those hands of the Freeman sisters.
It's a pretty quick set that they're running to.
So super high level setting from the junior.
You mentioned the quick set.
That one went right between the double block.
Second Defender didn't have time to get over there yet.
That's the point of the quick set.
And the left handed attack from Lexi Gann goes long and we're all tied up again.
This is not like basketball, where ties and lead changes are that big of a deal.
But this match, even though Baptiste is up to over on the sets, this one that's been back and forth, it really has Hackett responding really well.
They're not rolling over at all for Baptist Prep.
Oh gosh.
Got that one put down.
So Hackett able to respond.
But even though there wasn't a ton of power behind that swing by Alana Rothwell, she placed it really well to that deep corner.
And sometimes you don't need all the power.
You just need good placement at one right back of the rim job locked up.
And that's a big point there for the Hackett defense.
A lot of Rothwell, her third block of the night, a pretty big presence up there at the net, just pressing her arms and shutting down Baptiste Prep's top.
They had a six foot senior played really well in the middle of that hacking defense that wasn't going to be on this side of the pin, as you call it.
Some people call it the antenna.
That's probably wrong.
But I'm that's what it's a spy.
Look at it.
Either arm or whatever.
44 kills for Hackett, 38 for Babb.
This prep for two and a half sets here in the three, a state championship fight that one sails wide and Hackett adds to their lead.
Hackett taking a little bit of a lead here and causing Baptist Prep to error feeling.
Hackett right in front of them.
Go back to Renshaw heart attack down the lines deflected out and that's another kill for Abby 22 now in the match instead of before But Renshaw can hit from every single area of the court.
We saw her right there on the right side and that's a whole different kind of approach.
It's a whole different set.
The ball has to cross her body, but she is so athletic, a dynamic at every position in the stack works and Freeman just drives at home as a defender.
I could see how that could be really distracting and and really struggling to locate where the attack is coming from.
Exactly.
As you see here.
The block was on it.
So then the liberal lined up in her angle, but there was just too much power behind that swing mad dash for it's going to take a miracle to get it back from that point Well off the playing surface and that spread the point.
Good hustle shown.
That's all for us.
It's like a little 100 meter dash they just did.
That was a ton of running.
There's a lot of space behind the clean lines, if you will, on both ends.
That's what you want in a state final.
You want all out for every single play, no match next week, no practice.
There's no practice tomorrow.
So win or lose, you're turning the equipment in on Monday, so you might as well go out there and play hard.
I love it.
You should have given them their pregame speech, sort of like a tactic put down again.
Go back to 21 Ryan Rusher.
Now Ryan Rusher, that's a high set, but she does a really good job waiting on her approach.
Nice, long slow first two steps and then really quick final two steps of her approach allows her to get a ton of height not a ton of seniors on the roster for madness for a rusher just a junior high at one block Nice job by Hackett.
They force the Baptist Prep defense to scramble well they good point going here they keep it locked and they get it across they do really impressive play on both sides Freeman attack held up at the net now Baptist rep with a chance and she finds a hole big time kill there for Maddie Fielder.
I am so impressed by both of these teams and then Addie Fielder who's been phenomenal all season long, leading her team as the setter with the final kill of that play.
She has such good court vision nice deep court swing 17 all tough set there but Hackett able to keep it alive and great vision there for Maragos to find the spot the over six and finds a hole that really calm, cool and collected is Ruggles not the flashiest of kills, but it doesn't need to be flashy.
It just needs to touch the floor right?
At this point, they all matter.
And outside of Freeman, her attack stuck out there by Jackson.
Great effort there by the younger Freeman on the back row now the elder Freeman and she can't get it down a really good rally back here and finally put down who else rusher.
Russia has a really nice deep swing really smooth approach nice long arm swing nothing about it is jagged and all around play solid dig on that tip and the bump set from Addy Fielder, who just is so good at placing that ball with her hands or with her platform.
We talked about how dominant Renshaw is Charlottesville, but a three man answer is not going to kill.
But Ryan rushed for 13, kills herself with 35 between the rupture and Renshaw all the two elements well, they've got 38 kills to 32.
They've got a 1918 lead attack.
We've got ourselves a highlight reel kind of match going on.
If you want to watch huddle videos, check out their videos tomorrow.
They'll be pretty good.
Renshaw Islands dug out by Freeman.
Now McKenzie went back to McKenzie Freeman at one cross-court, dug out nicely by Jackson half.
It's going to reset with another try at it.
This time Freeman does put it down for one of the 18 Lady Hornets have a lead.
Baptiste perhaps going to take a timeout so step aside with him.
Hackett Trying to keep the three eight championship alive.
Don't go anywhere.
We're back in 30.
Looks like we have some new help in the marketing department.
Action.
End the busy with everything you can see.
I think you do the work out here.
I'm fine, thank you.
How do you do it?
Family and customer.
Friends.
I am Liane can be a very big DNC.
I am actually.
Here's a look at the last kill for Freeman that Scott Hackett thought too on that to scrap here in a critical third set for the Lady Hornets.
They're trying to keep their season alive.
And you got to like her to see really for both sides.
I mean there hasn't been all times you can point to a run here, a play there or a tendency.
It really is anything within the squad you can talk to like, okay, stop that.
You can win.
Exactly.
I mean, both teams will.
Barrow's playing at such a high level, creating really long plays and linking those plays for the team, for both of their teams.
And then the pinch hitters of Renshaw in Russia and Freeman and Freeman just falling out here on a state final stage, all of them with double digit kills, some over 20.
I mean, it is a high level volleyball match.
So Hackett serving up 20 to 18 and Baptist Prep still up two sets to nine.
Renshaw quickly ends that spurt for the Lady Hornets.
Renshaw one of those players with over 20 kills like I just mentioned, 23 kills hitting around 300.
She has come up so big for them all season and this is her final game as a high schooler.
Freeman's hit quite yet across the net and that evens up the match at 20.
All you know that's only Mackenzie Freeman's third error of the day.
So really she should not be disappointed in herself.
She's playing very efficiently.
She felt the block on her.
She was trying to make the smart move and sometimes after swinging a lot, then you try and tip it.
It's easier to error when you're out of that tipping rhythm.
So Hackett takes the time after back to back points for a madness trap.
We're tied at 20, so now it's the race to five.
And you know, you've got to do anything you can to finish this off.
You go back to scrap.
It's just this hung around.
And this is kind of been the point in both the first two games in which they pulled away, whether they're kind of neck and neck obviously was there's other moves tied 25 all but they kind of found a way to get that extra push late in games That's what I've got a two doesn't certainly exactly Baptist prep late in the games have just found that little extra push It's obvious they have a lot of leaders you can see right there on the screen the liberal firing her team up.
So it's obvious they've got a lot of maturity.
They won last season, so they're very confident towards the end of the match, towards the end of each set.
But let's see how Hackett fights back.
It's a game two 522 You got to finish empty first.
Suppose cert set it all with Jackson on the serve and quickly set up Freeman but dug out from Baptist preferential that would hit the antenna and they're going to give that points to the hits the pin.
They've got to be political character, hits the film and gives the point over to Hackett.
You're going to make me a better announcer at one point or another.
I'm honestly I'm honestly fine with either What could.
It's not the same one that's on your car anymore.
Same time Renshaw was attacked, dug out nicely by Oxford and went back to Renshaw.
That one does find the paint might have been tipped up and that as well.
So if he came points now it's a race to four and we talk about the positioning on the court.
That area she just hit is the six position middle back the area they're leaving open because they want their middle blocker to close the block.
You see they leave it wide open and Renshaw hitting over that middle blocker to the open court.
Draymond's attack that one can't get up higher than the net and so back to back points by a Baptist as the lady will suffer digits and now three points away from a title set in the middle for Rothwell but all right too awaiting defender and Renshaw Yeah nice job by Freeman to dig that one out which again I want deflected at the nets block there for a crap that's a big time play defensively and time out for Hackett and that's a play defensively by someone we haven't really called their name a ton.
That's number 15.
Emma Dokic a59 right side senior, comes to the biggest play of the match.
Yeah.
Coming up really big that lengthens their lead to two They only need two to win Hackett eats to tie so that's a huge block by them now they've got six blocks on the match That's a big defensive play again Europe, the block number as far as the stats, it's a little misleading.
Six blocks now for Baptist Prep, but this is just the way they've been.
They're constantly in front of the frame is not allow three hitting lanes with the lack of a better term is really why they have to scrap as a two only.
Yep I've been really impressed by their defense and Baptist Prep's floor defense.
Liberal Rachel Jackson we haven't talked about a lot has been so stellar on defense, keeping that ball alive for way longer than it would have been without her on the She gave it to this match with almost 400 digs and she's getting close to it, really a leader in that back row.
So Baptist Prep has a 2321 lead, Patty Fielder serving for the Lady Eagles.
Three men right there, the teeth of the block.
They can't handle it.
That's a point there for Hackett to get service back on their side of the net.
Yeah, Super clean play by Hackett all the way around insistent pass three pass, really solid set and then one of the freshmen sisters doing what they do best and I believe this is going to Renshaw does with a block there but it goes why now Baptist prep a point away from going back to back.
I said it before, but Renshaw can hit from every single area of the court.
Here she is on the right side, dropping that thumb and tooling that outside block Hackett can extend the match.
FREEMAN She does her part.
McCallum gets the kill, pulls them back within her 20th kill of the match.
Both Freeman's having an outstanding game.
Hackett responding really well in these high pressure situations, being aggressive throughout, even when point counts.
Taylor Nichols ball in hand at the service line for Hackett Bradshaw from the back line blocked it down and the Lady Eagles complete the back to back.
The Baptist Prep completes the sweep of Hackett.
But that's not really how this match played out.
It might be three oh in the final score, but these two teams are about as even as they can be.

Volleyball is a funny game.
Sometimes it's all about just a timely run and badness Prep was able to get the job done on all three sets.
Today is Hackett's awarded their runner up trophy, but they had a chance to win all three games.
The magic strip Madison.
This made the run at the right time to get the job done.
Exactly.
Hackett has so many things to be proud of.
They fought until the very very and both Freeman sisters did such a fantastic holding that team together.
Each player played a really massive part.
They should be definitely proud of their season goal map to scrap handed the three day volleyball championship trophy for the second straight year.
And it's fitting that Abby Renshaw was right there to receive it.
26 kills.
She led the way.
She's a big reason the Eagles go back to back.
I mean, she lit up the scoreboard tonight.
She hit from every single area of the court so efficiently and effectively played like a senior for sure, leading her team to their second straight state final 26 kills for Abby Renshaw, 13 more for Ryan Rusher.
Take a look at the stats as far as the overall team and these are going to be pretty much down the middle.
I mean, there's not going to be one stat on your screen that jumps out one way or the other.
It really was Madison, just a run here, a run there, maybe a service error.
There wasn't many do spoken up today.
It's just two evenly matched teams that happen to go bad to bad.
Boy, Exactly.
It's so, so evenly matched throughout the entire time.
Abby Renshaw ends up winning the player of the match.
She so deserves it.
But like you said about the stats, so evenly matched and that just made it so much fun to watch.
Let's take a look at the highlights.
And there was plenty of them.
We mentioned the kills for Renshaw and Rusher, a combined 3941 kills between McKenzie and McHale.
In the men there was this was high level volleyball.
It was really entertaining three set match that's one of those that you wish to go to fire because you don't want to watch it in exactly was so much fun to watch throughout the entire about this was the right volleyball that was played on a68 level so physical each of the attackers putting up such high numbers, both liberals playing so aggressively, both setters so consistent, really fun all the way around this prep ended up taking it, but like we said before, it was so evenly matched and both teams should be so proud of themselves.
So Baptist Prep finished of the year 36 and two, Hackett 35 and two, these two teams on top of three.
And I wouldn't be surprised to see these two teams next year.
So they got three down, two more to come.
The four eight state volleyball championship is another rematch.
Shiloh Christian looking to avenge last year's loss to Brooklyn.
That's the four eight volleyball championship coming up Might start a few minutes late scheduled for 505.
We're looking at probably about 510 start time.
So almost back on schedule.
But that's going to do it for now From Madison Fitzpatrick on Bobby, thanks for tuning in and watching the Centennial Big Play volleyball championships presented by Edward.
