Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorshipis almost ready to put a bow on championship Saturday.
But one more championship to be handed out and that's the five AA state volleyball championship as Vinton is going to take on.
GREENWOOD Welcome courtside.
I'm Bobby Swafford alongside Kasey Lloyd and these two teams no stranger to playing here.
It was in the championship match last year.
They won the five eight title.
But of course, Greenwood has had a great program in recent years.
They both have had a really great season.
I'm excited for this game to be the one to end the match.
Both Greenwood and Benton have a really fun offense to watch and I think it could be a really heavy offensive night.
Let's take a look at these two teams, how they got to this point.
Britain is the visiting team on the scoreboard.
They came from the bottom half of the bracket.
You can see them about midway through.
And the Lady Panthers, well, they didn't have much resistance in the state tournament.
They took down their fellow Panthers in Siloam Springs and handled Paragould in the quarters.
And then Harrison Squad, who won the five eight West in the semifinals.
And that's how Benton got here.
And a big reason why the Lady Panthers are playing for a title again, that's the players.
Kennedy guest.
Kennedy Guest is a senior middle blocker.
She's 511 and she gets it done on both sides of the ball.
She has 258 kills on the season along with 80 blocks.
But then she also has 32 aces and 59 digs.
So she's a big performer for the Panthers.
So that's a little outlook.
And Benton, what about their counterpart in this matchup, the Greenwood Lady Bulldogs they are the number two seed coming out of the West the only non number one seed to reach the championship here today.
They took down shared in the opening round and a big win over Maryland and some people might even say it was a surprise that they swept Mount Saint Mary's in the semifinal.
Not this not that they want to maybe just how that they won.
But of course, Greenwood is going to be led by their big hitter, Maya McCoy.
Maya McCoy is a special athlete.
She's a senior outside hitter.
She played six rotations for Greenwood and carries a lot of weight on the season.
She has 477 kills, but she's got 1400 on her career and I was there at the match when she got that 1000 kill.
And she is a special, special player.
She has 57 blocks, 319 digs and 28 aces.
So she's getting it done all across the board.
That's the second biggest number we've seen today as far as kill total 477 second to only Fayetteville's Reagan harp.
So any time you have those type of numbers, you know the kind of talent that McCoy is going to put out there.
So as the starting line ups introduced here inside Bank Ozark Arena, we'll give you the starting lineup first for Benton and Coach and four for the Benton Lady Panthers.
Drew Hudspeth, Isabella Lagman, Pressley Pallett, Parker Stearns, Kennedy Guest, Parker, Solas and Delaney Cooper.
That's the starting lineup for Vinton as far as the other side for Greenwood and coach Jennifer Golden.
Lauren Eckhardt If you rise first and hearts, Ella Dickinson, Tori Howard, Maya McCoy and Salem Culver, the two teams, they expected to be here.
And of course, when you expect to play for a championship, you always schedule up.
And so how these two teams got here and for coach Michelle Super before Bitton so they took down four finalist Shiloh, they took down four finalists.
Brooklyn's twice this year.
They also beat Conway.
And I mentioned the three wins here in the state tournament.
On the other hand, the losses maybe tell you more than the victory sometimes of the losses for Britain.
This year they've only had five of them, four through correction.
Three of them came the teams that are playing here for a stamp championship, including two in six eight.
CONWAY Now on the other side of things.
Greenwood Unfortunately beat your harbor squad earlier this year and they and they also beat Harrison, the team that won the conference all of their losses.
Bowl six, a finalist, made the one town and we also lost two, three eight finalist Baptist Prep.
You got the better of them one time too.
So we've got to give you credit there.
And then their loss to South side.
So the ten losses may seem like a lot to get to the championship game, but that's because Greenwood certainly scheduled what they did and that's why they're here tonight, is they're prepared for high level teams.
And regardless of the wins and losses, they're playing for a state championship tonight and playing higher level teams and bigger conferences just has prepared them for this moment.
We're getting ready for first serve here in the five day state championship.
There's a good look at Coach Jennifer Golden right there.
And then on the other side, Michelle Super is this championship match a year ago.
But just because Benton's the defending champion doesn't mean this is a foregone conclusion.
Greenwood and Coach Golden have been here before.
They've won titles before.
They've got a for a volleyball only facility.
They're on campus.
So they've got the resources, they've got the talent.
And obviously, we'll see what the what happens when we roll them all out here in their moments.
Both teams have a great volleyball culture in their schools, and it's going to be exciting to see what happens tonight.
So Greenwood will open up the match serving.
They're wearing the gray unis.
Sure.
Mount the Navy, I'll bet, and will be on the receiving side wearing the maroon trimmed out with the white numbers.
We are ready to go.
And a5a state championship match.
My first serve can't be handle the Lady Bulldogs strike first as Lauren Eckhardt gets the A's.
It's never a bad thing when you start a match with an ace.
The large Greenwood contingents a large bit in student section here for the nightcap and first attack from Bitten Sails, long as Parker Stearns couldn't keep it in the lines.
Lady Bulldogs out to an early two nothing lead.
Eckhart's doing a good job serving tough and keeping Bitton out of system and handled nicely by Benton.
See if they can get on the offensive in that one though it does catch them line So Stearns gets her first kill of the match and cuts the Greenland lead in half.
It's two one was a really great approach and high swing Stearns just hit over the block there being in the corner Anna Grace Dedmon.
Now I've got to serve for correction.
That's true.
Hudspeth For Bitton, now run falls to the floor and Green went out to a31 lead.
It's a good attack by Kiki going after those high hands, finding the tool getting our team on point so it's loud Greenwood soon sections right behind our spot right here on the scorers table So you hear something you don't like.
Sorry, it's not my fault.
I didn't say it.
Oh, he's pointing out it's serving for the Leslie Weiser for Greenwood.
Now that one set low, so maybe bit a little too jazzed up here in the championship match.
Few of their attacks have already gone, well, long, a lot of adrenaline, a lot of momentum coming in to the first five points of this match.
Nice block there.
Number one, Carson Hart goes up the middle hitter for Greenwood and the Lady Bulldogs push that lead to four person.
Hart has been a force for Greenwood all season long.
She doesn't only do a great job offensively, but she also is an amazing blocker.
Greenwood has got the momentum early here inside Bank Okeke Arena.
That one sails long, but it was tipped at the net, so Bitton stops the mini run from Greenwood to serve from Delaney Cooper Forbidden.
I haven't had to call my arm a boy's name just yet.
For Greenwood, that's a big time attack there for Bitton and Parker Stearns Hammers one home.
Huge swing by Stearns.
You did a great job staying patient and staying open to her center and just manipulating her arms and cross her body to put that on the line.
Nice placement there as Vinton takes advantage of that.
Isabella Laghman area number 55 today.
Bitton breaking back into this one, it's five four.
It's a benefit or Benton as they're really tough offensively from both sides of the ball on the right side and the outside we talk about both Kennedy against and Maya McCoy in the open.
And neither one has recorded a kill just yet.
Maybe playing a little decoy action as right now sneaking into existence is McCoy's first attack goes wide.
We are all not at five more straight points for the Lady Panthers away.
That's our first look at guessing.
Our first kill as Kennedy was beating the lead.
Guess that's a good job of getting into that offense on that fast.
Dig the center, put her high, but the tempo is still fast so she can hit over those box blockers.
And Greenwood's a total advantage for her.
So five straight points for the Lady Panthers from Denton and get their first lead at six five.
McCoy tries to put one down the block there for the Lady Panthers and all of a sudden what seemed like everything was rolling green was way has changed course.
Now Bitton is in complete control.
Bennett settled in here, maybe got rid of some of their nerves earlier.
Barrow is serving extremely tough.
She's got a really, really great float services.
Ball's hard to pass.
Delaney Cooper's been on serve for six consecutive points, three back to McCoy, and that attack again goes wide so make it a seven nothing run for the Lady Panthers and Green is going to take a quick time to try to calm the nerves, if you will, try to stunt this run for the Lady Panthers.
So back to back hitting errors for McCoy.
There's been an eight five lead.
We'll step aside real quick for 30 seconds here.
Watching the five state championship on Arkansas PBS.
The real life mystery in movie screens.
Who is Sammy Kessler?
My science teacher is a robot.
You've got to be kidding me.
Trouble makers from another planet.
From another planet.
We're on the case.
Thank you, mystery League, for solving this mystery that Wendy's.
We're focused on what matters.
That's why we've made our Hamburger Square we want to experience.
It was just a taste of Wendy's Hamburgers is asked where is the least?
So Vinton scored seven straight when he got to do here for Greenwood to settle on Earth.
It's going to take a deep breath and really focus on getting there.
First, contact and insight on top of their center's head so she can deliver a good ball to their attackers.
Then Cooper stays at Center for Benton.
Back to McCoy again.
The blocks right there, though.
Gallagher then goes up and sends it back to where it came from.
Eight Oh, run.
Let's see.
These kind of runs very often, especially at the championship level, is doing a great job setting up that block to allow her middle blocker to come in close and put a huge block up against McCoy.
Cooper's fatigue may send him back on that service line.
Oh, big swing there, but dug out nicely.
From Greenwood, it's Lexy Schweitzer.
Lady Bulldogs finally put an end to that eight oh scoring run.
Oh, they get a touch, they close the gap nine six Really smart play by Hart They're staying calm and knowing she didn't have to take a big swing.
She just had to be smart and be more aware.
And she found that open spot and got them out of that rotation and sets up longer minutes.
She hammers one home.
That's Ella Bell, Isabella's third kill already in the match, and Britain's got a ten six advantage.
Lagman is such an explosive attacker, she's really patient on her approach.
Her approach is so explosive and her arms being so fast, it's very tough to defend.
That's the junior is Isabella.
I know that's a big swing there.
And that one sails wide.
Give the kill to Ella Dixon.
DICKINSON Excuse me.
It's ten seven here in the five state championship match.
But talk about again, drives one home.
It's 11 seven.
So we're in that point where you think the nerves are starting to work themselves out.
But you can see the power game is certainly there for Bitton.
Absolutely.
And offensively, there's so fluid they ran right there and a and I see they moved Laghman off of the pin and pulled her in behind the center to give the blockers a different look and it was very successful It was couldn't handle that one.
There's a little fortunate break there if you're a Greenwood fan, I will not hit all that hard, but perfectly placed and much needed point there for the Lady Bulldogs.
They pull back within 11 to 8 and a career to serve for Greenwood.
It's our first real good look at Kennedy and you can just see the elevation.
It's high.
She gets above the nets, she gets the kill.
Now she's going to go back to the service line, go down.
That's something you can't coach.
The vertical.
I know.
And it was right back.
Kiki Rice with the kill pick.
You did a good job staying patient on that out of system ball and took a really smart swing to the deep 516 I'll call that a four hit and doesn't get over the net so Greenwood an inch back ever closer in this match now it's 1210 to see coach Chris Young and the football coach for Greenway here supporting this fellow volleyball squad got to team support teams on campus.
That's right.
Right.
Big swing there.
That was going to sail wide, though.
So after that eight oh run that been put together Greenwood in a really nice job but despite those clawing back their way in this match did a nice job of just settling in and not letting their errors overwhelm them and just taking it point by point.
And that's helped them close the gap to 1112.
It's this the Salem Colburn middle header.
But that one sails long though.
So that run for Greenwood comes to an end.
This was three consecutive points.
They're right back in this match exactly where you want to be as a coach.
You always want to say, Hey, give me give me the 1515.
They'll make a run.
At that point.
You know, it's not a bad place to be.
Then you can have time to settle in and only have ten more points to play.
Oh, that's a kill for Kiki Rice.
Of course, you want to win every match.
45.
Nothing.
That's a given.
That's the goal.
Sometimes you've got to slug it out, especially when you're facing a team.
The caliber of a Greenwood or a Benton.
This is definitely a rematch where we see them slug it out.
Oh, that's a card on the serve for Greenwood.
McCoy does get it over.
Nice job.
The rally back for Greenwood.
What Heyward crosscourt there Really nice play from Bitton number 14 Ivy Hendryx the junior again we see that balance on Burton's offense They went to their outside their middle and their right side on that one and she hit a great cross-court shot to zone one, getting the kill right out right here.
Hudspeth Back to serve now for a Benton.
That's the Lady Panthers holding on to a 1412 advantage.
You know from miscommunication there from Greenwood didn't really know who that set was to.
Well that's an easy point for the Lady Panthers.
It goes cross-court.
They're going to say no, they're going to say it's out.
So the head official overrule is the line.
Judge calls that one out.
So break for the Lady Bulldogs.
It's 1513 good patients by Greenwood.
They're following that ball all the way to the line right?
Oh, big swing there for McCoy.
Nice job on the block from Denton.
And then they hammer one.
That one's going to be ruled out.
They're going to say it hit the antenna or the pin.
Excuse me, Call it both.
I was correct in this hand.
Either or either or both.
Rick Madison didn't chastise me too much.
So if you I need some lashings, you can you can send it my way.
I'll take either pen or instead I'll go with both.
15, 14.
Now, Benton out in front McCoy for Greenwood again the block, doing a nice job on her forbidden thought to go back to her.
I know that's where the ball wants to go.
For Greenwood now, defense is rotating to 27 and great, really nice rally here between Benton and Greenwood.
Back to McCoy now and finally put down Maya McCoy, her first kill of the match.
And she's got 100 and 477 coming into it.
You expect to get your first woman for the 30th point of the match.
But here we are.
Here we are.
I thought Lacy Wiser did a great job in the back row right there, keeping Greenwood alive and getting Maya in a good position to put the ball away.
That was going to get it long.
And now.
Greenwood to resolve it and go on an eight oh run rally rallied all the way back and takes a 1615 lead.
Greenwood seems to be settling in and picking up their communication, which is helping them go on this little run here and close this gap and extend the lead.
Both of these teams struggling offensively, hitting below 100.
That'll help big time swing from Milton's Parker Sterns and that ends the Greenwood running for Senate.
Did a great job there staying neutral and patient giving Sterns a one on one opportunity.
The middle got caught in with the bends Little and that's a tough ball to defend one on one.
Winston has taken that swing.
So we asked for 1550 and said we get 1616.
Mr. Will be beggars or choosers.
McCoy tries to get down over that one.
So that was a behind the pin.
So that was ruled out.
And the Lady Panthers are back in front.
1716 Benton's got the lead and their most deadly serve, or at least up to this point.
COOPER Back behind the line.
McCoy though he's dug out McCoy again, finds Williams a big swing there for McCoy, who gets her second kill.
This first match.
Go, set.
We're all knotted at 17 two.
Great Back to back swings by McCoy.
I thought her stutter gave her a great ball right there Teams who won the first set today or a perfect for an open This was huge a nice dig on the back row from Schweitzer McCoy puts on hold now Green two up 1817 Is it overthinking it or a set one so important in volleyball?
I think it's really important.
Obviously, it doesn't determine the match, but I think just starting fast and early and having that one set advantage and it's a mentality of knowing that you can beat the opponent that's across and that does it does a big, big help in this play there for from Benton now pushes that lead for green we're back to 19 to 17 this one has certainly been full of runs started with Greenwood Benton came back with a big one and now Greenwood has played very well over the last 15 points or so.
Nice job there to recognize the Greenwood defense left a gaping hole in the middle and she takes advantage of it.
Did Drew Hudspeth at center did a good job of taking the ball into her own hands and helping her team side out so they can get another server back there.
And now back to Savannah, Grace Hardy for Benton.
Coming up, big attack with the right side.
Ella Dickinson gets the kill, Kennedy gets on.
Benton is a huge block across the net but Benton is or Greenwood excuse me is doing a great job of finding high hands and not dropping their elbows singing into the block and taking it to their advantage.
So Dickinson gets the Kill 2018 lead for the Lady Bulldogs.
Wagman backs the back roll, but Greenwood digs it out.
That one in to the Nets on that violation.
Excuse me, Double hit whatever you want to call the goal.
About seven different things there.
Either way, it's a point for Mitten playing for Benton coming back to serve the quick set.
Gasol right there.
The defense for Greenwood the first time and the second time now McCoy Nice job of Gaston over the left hand.
Greenwood scrambling back that he's going to say a wide mitten singing They're asking for a touch they don't get it and the Lady Bulldogs have a 2119 lead.
How many teams are going to be able to go up and defend?
Yes, on back to back attacks?
No Green runs in either.
BLOCK has done a great job of staying prepared and ready for that fast offense in the middle.
And when Gaskin hits over them, the defense behind it, it's done a great job of just getting up and being greedy and keep the ball alive.
Well, step aside for 30 seconds, find out who's going to win.

Let's go Here's gas to attack again BLOCK the other way.
Great job by the defensive force there for Greenwood and the Lady Bulldogs are now three points away from taking this ever important opening set now.
And Fall Stand credits the kill for keeping rice all the momentum going Greenwood's way and veterans are going to take another time out.
Well, keep it here, though.
So if you're Coach Michelle Super, what are you going to tell your squad?
You take the big run.
So obviously, you know, the power game is there, but Greenwood's been able to battle back.
There has been a great job of staying aggressive defensively and making bit and make the errors.
So I think Ben just needs to settle in and focus on their first contact so they can be a little bit more into similar offensively and then that will help them get back into this match.
So both these teams, you know, if you look at the stat sheet, struggling to find the offense, but Minton really struggling hitting oh to seven.
That's not something you expect to see with someone who is as talented as they are.
But 11 kills compared to ten errors.
Yeah, I think that's that's the big the big thing They're on 37 attacks.
They've only have 11 kills and ten errors.
So hitting an oh 27 is really hurting them.
Kiki writes for Greenwood.
She's only taken five swings on the match, but out of those five clean she on that she has four kills.
So if I'm Greenwood right here I'm loading up Kiki Rice on the outside Only an eight hunter hitting average is good but they tell me McCoy at serve Greenwood with a four point lead here in the opening set in Vinton has trouble with it and gets it over the over but Greenwood a chance to attack back to Kiki with a block was there Kennedy gets puts it they call it exactly what you asked for get the ball back to rice but for the offense they're just too good.
2329 to go back to Kiki in couldn't really decide what she wanted to do with it there and then neither one of it so that one falls shorter than that.
And Britain's got back to back points after the timeout.
Yes, back to serve.
And Washington had one of those fights and some orange courts and now it's set point for the lady Bulldogs Greenwood doing a good job of mixing up their offense Maya McCoy playing six rotations is a benefit for them because not only is she attacking on the front row, but she's also an option in the back row right here.
So it's set point for the Lady Bulldogs bit trying to stay alive when that one goes low, no touch and Greenwood takes the opening set for a bit and 2521 we've got a lot of volleyball left with the Bulldogs took a big step into throwing the five eight champs.
The step aside as you're watching the Centennial Banks volleyball Championship presented by ever view of GMC on Arkansas PBS Sports.

A real life mystery in Movie Springs.
Who is Sammy the Slob?
My science teacher is a robot.
You've got to be kidding me.
Troublemakers from another planet.
From another planet.
We're on the case.
Thank you, Mystery League, for solving this mystery.
It looks like we have some new help in the marketing department.
Action.
Hi.
I'm busy with everything you can see.
I think you do the work out here.
Fine, thank you.
How do you do it?
Family and customer.
Friends, Family and it can be very big.
DNC.
All right.
My ex, big star.
Let's take a look at our five all star PBS students.
It's bad luck for Russellville, the Liberal junior, a 4.1 GPA.
She plans to attend college and major in biology and also considering to play volleyball.
Congratulations to the from Russellville for being tonight's five, a Arkansas PBS student.
All star.
So Greenwood takes the opening sets.
Last score 2521 would you like from Greenwood that opening said there's a lot to like I thought they just stayed really calm but they didn't start the match extremely strong and beaten bounce some big balls but they just really saved patient and trusted the game to come to them and they've played some really, really gritty defense and I think that's why they were successful on that.
You hate to win something out like this, but you take away that eight oh run from Vinton.
They didn't have a lot going offensively.
They did not.
They had 11 kills, but they also had 11 errors hitting a zero.
So that's something that they're going to really need to zone in on is their first contact to help put their hitters in better situations and then their hitters to minimize those errors and start putting balls away.
So we're set for set number two here inside Bank.
Okay.
Arena Greenwood's got a one nothing lead, but we've got a long way to go before this one settled in.
Going to be on serve to start real quick the green on offense going on attack and I say Bender's over the line just like the first sets Greenwood opens up set number two with advantage too Good option there with Carson Hart in the middle center kind of later up and gave her time to see the block and move the ball around and put power through the block right there.
You're just to this one.
Where have you been all day?
But two, I'm Bobby Swafford alongside Carcillo Low at the harbor Head coach is Greenwood.
Now the block goes wide and great.
One, two Bitner tied up at one a piece.
Four championships have been earned so far today.
It started with a five set barnburner.
Save outlasted Conway for the six day state championship.
Well, we've had a bunch of repeats today.
Mansfield Baptist Prep, Brooklyn have all repeated this state champions and that one goes into the next round.
Kiki, Rice and Bitton add to their lead late in seven of the finalists today were here last year.
Greenwood, among the ones who are not though, are looking for another state title.
This would not be a first score.
History, I believe, have got to two or three already.
Another attack from Kiski goes long.
So it's three one Bitton after a couple of hitting errors from the Lady Bulldogs, he's started the game really strong with four kills on five attempts in these last couple a swing she's had some trouble with.
She just once they get her going again, I think I'll be all right.
I know for a coincidence that Minton was making another run with Cooper at the third, but that one goes into the nets and stops the spurt at three Springs.
Lexie Weiser to the line.
And she went on some big runs earlier for Greenwood in the first set as well, a block right there to return Stearns and see if Benton can rally along him and gets it over.
Now, Greenwood goes on the offensive outside of McCoy.
She goes cross-court, dug out nicely by Parker Solar Adams coming right at us.
Play me by the Greenwood Bench.
Parker Stern with the kill there.
The set was a little low, but she made the smart decision just to place the ball and try to find the floor.
And she got to kill there in that deep corner again, the chance to look at the coaching staff and bowl squads for Jennifer Golden, Greenwood, Kimberly Low and Diane Poppe, her two assistants.
On the other side, Heidi Cox, Brooke White, Susanna Reagans and Jasmine Vickers, the assistants for Benton.
As Kennedy Gas hammers one home, Benton has started this set a lot more offensively positive than how they ended their last.
So if they can continue to get their offense going and warmed up, then I think they're going to have a nice match.
And they say Greenwood was into the net.
So that's going to give another point to a bit.
And the Lady Tigers have scored six of the last seven here and set number two at three, Randle McCoy.
She tries to touch it down the line on that one goes Why though and the Benton Dan jumps out to an early big lead kind of like they did in the first so dangerous life live here for Greenwood I know they came back in one set number one but you can't afford to have 56741 deficit against a team like bitterness Wagman hammers One home can't be handled by Torrey Howard for Greenwood, and coach Jennifer Golden wants a time out as the Lady Panthers have built an 8 to 2 lead.
So we'll take it once and we'll step aside.
Bitten early eight two here in the second sports.
This is so important to this state in the fabric of the state and I appreciate Arkansas PBS doing all the state title games and that makes it available for not just the fans in central Arkansas, South Arkansas, the fans around the entire state.
I can only think of the kids in small towns and this is the biggest moment maybe in their sports careers.
And they have that keepsake of having that game on TV to have with them the rest of their lives.

So Mittens got an eight two lead here in set number two right now.
So for the match they are hitting oh 85, but for the set they're hitting 571.
That will turn the offense around is that one sails wide and BetMGM adds to their advantage.
Ben's doing a really great job on the serving line, this side of serving tough and in and keeping Greenwood out of system, which makes it a lot easier for their defense to set up behind it so their offense can be successful.
That one just outs that serve those sails long.
So that ends the run at five for Bitton and it's now nine three.
So we saw an eight oh run in the first, now a run of five here in the second.
You know what I'm going to try to put a run together of themselves.
McCoy on the outside but he struggles to handle it but they do get it across on the third quick set up there for Greenwood, Laghman, he finds the open space.
He puts one down her sixth kill.
That's a team high for Abella.
Laghman has been an offensive threat This whole entire match.
Like you said, six kills, only two errors, and she's hitting above a 300.
She's six of 11 for offensive attacks.
Jump serve, Jeff Greenwood.
All kinds of problems and they can't return it.
Make it a71 scoring spurt now for Bitton as they've opened up an 11 three advantage.
It's a great topspin serve giving Greenwood's passers or something different to look at other than a float serve to set McCoy that one guy to be blocked but sails into the seats and the big bigs kill there for Greenwood and a much needed point for the Lady Bulldogs That was great offense by Greenwood pulling Maya McCoy off of the pin and into the center of the court to give the defense a little bit different look right through the arms and off the forehead there of Kennedy guest Maya.
They got a contact context only.
That's what we need them for.
They belong back to serve for Greenwood.
Carson Hollins try to set up guest as she drives one home the straight up and straight down for Kennedy.
Guest the great said the guests here athleticism and getting to that ball and her vertical that's hit over the block and straight down is really impressive to watch the second defender a step slow getting over splits the two and gets the kill gas was four now in the match McCoy can be handled by Greenwood so the LA blaze the Lady Bulldogs were making a first not being made here in the second and that's why Ben's opened up a 13 four advantage.
We talked about Ben's offense in the first set.
This set, they already have six kills on zero errors, so that's a big difference maker for them.
McCoy with the big swing but slowed down by the front four.
Benton And now they're on the offensive Boy from the other side Nice job on the block there for McCoy and Green where they needed a defensive stop and they get it he key rice back in for Greenwood they look at the block there for McCoy and right to keep off the bench that's dug out nicely on the back row by Cooper A quick set there with that one A well wide on the attack from Salem Coleman lead back to nine for Benton.
We talked about logging in offensively when she's in the front row in the back row, she's setting and just delivering a beautiful offense right now that's really helping Benton stay in system and take some good swings.
Solar's back to serve for the Lady Panthers.
They sit on that 14 five lead and Tammy delivered over one of the few mistakes that Coopers made today.
Not too much to be worried about.
If you're a fan of number 12, it's a big, tough sit there.
And Greenwood takes advantage of it as Carson Hart elevates and the senior puts it down.
Good patience by Hart right there.
Being aware of where that ball is located and good.
I think one thing on the block to put that ball to the floor.
Colburn Now to serve for Greenwood, it's 14 seven.
Benton doubling up their opponent Rice with another kill, now got five which is the most for Greenwood, who is set to have ten big swing in the dugout by McCoy in the back row, back to Rice and handle it.
Now the Bulldogs come storming back.
Greenwood's doing exactly what they did in that first set to help close the gap.
They're playing patient, they're serving toughness and they're playing great defense.
The miners with their server and Kiki Hart.
But the next ball down so back to back kills by rice the four nothing run for Greenwood and try the quick don't does it work back to rice Oh quick set there for Benton that's hard to stop especially when Pressley Palat goes up and drills one two great wrist swing to find the and put the ball down just to help inside out.
Break it up, get up.
It's set in the middle for Greenwood and Hart quickly puts it down.
It's fun to see Hart respond on that quick set from Benton, the quick center itself.
Great high swing to the deep corner.
1510 are score about halfway through Set number two Lady Bulldogs already have a one set in their pocket.
Waterman and he's dug out nicely.
Now Kiki Rice finds his open space a big point there for Greenwood Logging in gets that kind of contact.
You don't expect a win right off of it.
Nice job by Greenwood Defense.
Turning that to quick offense The Great thing by McCoy and great job by Greenwood not giving up on the play.
Oh oh that one sails wide Welcome as attack sails.
Now it's 15 to 12 and Vinton wants to take a time out.
We'll step aside away from Greenwood as we knew not going anywhere there, fighting back.
You're watching the Centennial State Volleyball Championship on Arkansas.
PBS Sports.
It looks like we have some new help in the marketing department.
High end to the eye room.
With everything you can see.
I think you do the work.
I can find that.
Good.
How do you do it?
Family and customer.
Friends, Family and be here dancing.
All right.
My ex.
Here's a good look at that dig for McCoy that led to the quick offense from Greenwood.
Again, there's no such thing as a conventional ball.
You'll take him any way you can get it done.
A nice job on the court keeping the play alive.
Kronos is doing a nice job of staying gritty on defense and not giving up on the play.
It's really helped them close the gap in the second set.
So it's 15, 12, three straight points for the Lady Bulldogs.
That's the mini run.
The bigger run scored eight of the last ten or so chance to add to it here, except for Dickinson.
That one, though I was going to say is out going over to Bitton.
So they stopped the spurt thing caught a break there and now they have Kennedy guest coming in to the front row, hoping to help their offense get going again right at the right time.
Delaney Cooper Back to serve.
She's been up to the helm of several big runs for Bitton already here tonight.
You know, I keep thinking Rice having none of it as that was deflected at the Nets and her eighth kill of the match.
She's starting to establish herself as the go to in this Greenwood offense.
Rice did a great job getting her feet around that ball and going right away, staying open to her set and driving down the line she's hitting at 333 on seven, kills the air.
She's having a great night right there.
The serve for now for the Lady Bulldogs.
A quick start for Kennedy, but the block is there for Greenwood and that one hits the net standard.
I've been really impressed with Greenwood's ability to go off and battle with guest to the left.
I have to.
Carson Hart has been matched up with her and most of the rotations, and she's doing a great job of not reaching at her height and just really penetrating her hands, Going over that serve can handle.
That's an ace for Greenwood.
And all of a sudden it's fifth 1615.
So what was a nine point advantage just a few minutes ago?
Liebesman cut to one.
Greenwood's serve serving is really helping them get the ball off again.
Shows up.
Big run, Carson, Hart and McCoy both right there.
We are all tied up at 16.
It's really fun right now to watch Greenwood's passion on the court.
You can tell that they're fired up and they don't care about that.
Leave the bench had their fight in this deficit for each other.
It was 14 to 5.
BITTON And now it's 16.
All out now.
BITTON Going to have to scramble to get down across and right can't a huge run as a Pepsi cans knocked over and keep your head on the swivel here at the scorers table I'd say that's a try to see if that was a Coca-Cola but it's a Pepsi so it's fun to dump that out like that.
And of course now sue me.
McCoy She goes cross for that one five, just orange and Greenwood continuing to hammer back.
It's a really smart play by Maya McCoy.
We talked about it earlier tonight.
Every swing doesn't have to be a super aggressive.
You just got to be smart.
On her placement on the ball, and she found a way to keep that server back there and extend the lead longer.
Even though she puts it in to a six alone.
It was 13 to 2 smirks there for Greenwood, a much needed kill for Benton.
Go back to McCoy.
Back to put it down.
Maya McCoy, Another Kill with a great pass and a great set by Carr as she held the ball really neutral and kept Kennedy gets in the middle of the net to help Maya.
Those scenes that she could attack seven kills in the match for Maya McCoy.
Going to go right back to her on that left side.
That one blocked by I guess that one never got across the match and that's going to be four touches there for solid against Greenwood.
So between stunts that rally 1918 the old lady Bulldogs still out in front guest is working really hard on the block pin the pin you saw her blocked by McCoy on the outside and then she sprinted across to the right side and closed that block.
That's a that's a big advantage for them.
They know how important this set is.
Can't afford to fall down, too.
Oh, I'm guarding the block.
Shows up big time and they need it most.
The block is is arriving in style for a bit and as guest returns one Kennedy guest on only is making her play right now at the net but she's also bringing her passion and energy and her teammates are really bouncing off of that 19 all here in the second rising attack that one goes cross-court I we're going to say a net violation on Vinton boy great dig as wiped away as the Lady Bulldogs take advantage guys they're back to serve the junior for Greenwood correction that's Carson Hall on the senior guest elevation to the block again there for Greenwood one back to gas That's how to drive across the diving dig in It's a miscommunication It's really loud here inside because the communication wasn't there and Vinton was a great buy.
Greenwood Unfortunately, they just couldn't communicate to keep it alive.
But that's just fifth kill.
She's got four blocks and now she's back to the service line.
Yeah, they up?
You're talking about Carson Holland, number 20.
Great diving play I will say now Greenwood was in and that's a big block in return from Coburn and that car wiped away and now the lady Panthers have the Greenwood is going to take a quick time out so we'll take him with him and we'll find out who wins.

2120 here in set number two, Bitton will be on serve trying to add to that and try to even up this match for trooper coach Golden barking out their orders to their squad.
Now Kennedy goes right to the mat.
Kennedy Yes, they take advantage of it.
We're all tied up at 21.
So Golden feeling good about that timeout?
That was good, right?
As a coach, you call timeout on something.
I give you a point.
Yes.
From seven and eight Take a lot of credit for that McCoy served dies but it will be brought back and beaten answers with a big kill for him even Hendrix the great pass three pass to keep all hitters involved makes it really difficult for Greenwood to read that setter right now.
The block coming up big.
And that turns in the offense for Benton as Parker Sterns drives one home and Al Benton just two points away from even enough this match.
Ben is doing a great job getting all over green hitters on the block.
But then also when they got the ball back on their side, the net terminating right sends one long and now Greenwood's backs up against the wall and got to fight back.
Set point for the Lady Panthers Benton faithful getting into it that one catches the line and that's an ace and that's how Game two comes to an end.
So Benton battles back with a big 401 to end the match and they even things up at the centerpiece.
Don't go anywhere.
We have got a good one.

So we're at the centerpiece.
What do you tell your squad in the huddle now?
Have the nurse have calmed down?
The two teams have split the opening two sets.
This should be really fun.
This is going to be a really great rest of the match.
And our even one, two, one is going to be the first one to think.
It's going to be the team that can keep it the most composed play.
The cleanest volleyball with the most passion.
I've been really impressed with the way that Greenwood has has handled the runs from Vinton's and being able to respond with the big run of their own.
But then Bitton able to bounce back here in a set.
Number two, that that was a big testament to Greenwood's mentality and culture.
Regardless if they were down by ten in that set or not, they were still going to continue to battle and battle for each other and really gave them a shot to take the second serve a bit and snuck away with it.
So we're getting set for set number three.
Greenwood is going to be on the service.
I'd like to say the first five points of the step manner, but we've found out the last two men can jump out to a big lead and Greenwood is going to make a run.
Services there by Lauren Eckhardt, their setter Greenwood might be the one to jump to the fast start.
This set that her kind of flirted with danger a little bit on the opening serve of the set that time comes back to haunt her as I see what Bitton has to do.
But I've got to first stop this attack and they do a great job with the block that returns the Rice attack.
That's something Bitton has been very successful in all night long as their blocking.
It's really put a lot of pressure on Greenwood's attackers attackers.
Nice job to dig that one out for Greenwood.
That was Howard, like not ready for the dump.
There's Hudspeth takes advantage of maybe a little misalignment by the Lady Bulldogs.
It's to good awareness there by those better being back road is finding ways to sneak in points.
Allen does just get over the net for Rice being able to scramble back three one bit in here in the third McCoy from the back row.
That one's going to see a long you can't really tell both of these teams have really started to settle in to the offense big swings are coming the Greenwoods got a negative hitting as a team but that really is not a true indicator.
What we're seeing on the floor, definitely not.
They're being really aggressive offensively.
I think Ben's block has a big part of Greenwood's negative hitting percentage.
Oh BLOCK can't quite get there and fill for a bit.
And so at one point as a coach, obviously they have their real time stats, kind of like we do.
Do you start to concern yourself about hitting percentage or is that kind of an outlier?
I think that's something definitely coaches look at.
You want to see who's putting balls away and where our errors are coming from.
You try to keep hitting errors to five less a set so you can be successful because you need to put balls down in order to win matches.
You know, McCoy drills one home and that one coming back to the scorers table.
That was a big, big point there for Greenwood to kind of stop the bleeding.
It's a great swing by McCoy, really explosive in our approach and a really quick arm straight arm swing to give her a kill of the match.
Now we're now serving for Greenwood.
Guess how one deflected at the net?
That's another kill for Kennedy.
She's got six longer ones, got eight to lead the way for the Lady Panthers.
I love the way that Ben uses gas.
They don't just restrain her into the middle.
They put her in the middle.
They put her on the outside and the right side out of service need to find ways to get her in positions to be successful.
That puts more pressure on a defense.
You can't just set up the block right in the middle.
That's right.
And they got really communicate about where she's coming from and how the right place they're put by Coburn Salem gets the kill now it's five three Greenwood mixing up the offense again they're out of their receive running a two ball with McCoy and a higher B with their middle catch and Ben's defense moving gas though hammers one home down the line.
That's a really impressive swing.
It's a low set so gas just did a great job of staying open, swinging across her body to put it back into the right back corner.
You know wooden bitton battling it out that serve goes long so Lady Panthers leads cut one no lead is saved no run is safe.
We've already figured that out through two sets, right.
Third or no, they'll be kept alive.
So Bitton going to add to that lead.
Really great Start by log in after they got a good pass right on top of her head, gave just a good ball in the net.
She did a good job of reaching high and swinging high over that block, placing it into the corner.
We'll seeing that violation on.
Well, that's happened a couple times for the Lady Bulldogs.
That's a3b, forbidden given right back that serve into the net.
She really too many errors on this side that's fifth service area for Bitton those are starting to add up compared to just two aces.
That's right in the second in this set that'll make up for it a little bit.
The big hammers Croft maybe be Hendrickson she's beaten by her teammates.
You can definitely say the kids are having fun competing for this championship.
You know what was hit harder for her.
Zola's back to serve Forbidden her rice perfectly placed right over the block.
Little teardrop.
So Kiki Rice picks up kill number nine, the tough role shot.
They're really out of system ball.
Kiki did a great job of getting her feet around it and keeping that elbow high to cross over the block and into the court.
So it's nine seven Bitton out in front and firing go deep.
Allen sails wide.
We're going to say it was deflected at the natural pull.
It's going to go over to Bitton.
Ben's doing a really good job on their first contact here in Serve Receive.
Getting that setter in a good position is that all three hitters, which is making their offense a lot more efficient.
Ten seven Bitton has the lead back to Rice with a block there for a bit.
And number eight Parker Stern sends that one back the other way, seven blocks now for Bitton, five for Greenwood, Serve for Hudspeth Lands right inside the line.
That's an ace I appreciate.
Even though Ben has missed two serves in this set, there's still serving path to work hard to get Greenwood out of system.
Tough set there for Greenwood they can't take and handle it so Bitton now pushes the lead again and Greenwood is going to take a timeout, try to discuss things round 13 to 7, so we'll step aside with them.
You're watching the five state championship on Arkansas PBS Sports.

You can make the decision with this course on the PBS video and welcome back.
Inside Banks Music Arena.
I'm Bobby Swafford alongside Cassie Lloyd, all calling the five AA state championship meetings out to a 13 seven lead there.
Got a four nothing run.
How do you slow this down if you're Greenwood?
I think we really just need to focus on our first contact.
Ben's doing a good job serving aggressive and the pass on serve receive has not been on me three or two passes.
They've gotten him out of system a lot.
So I think if the pass can get in there on the first contact, then they can be more efficient offensively put back on the serving line.
He's been back there for the duration.
I go to Rice and I'm dug out on the back row.
But again, some miscommunication on that far side for Vinton.
So that's going of in the run while Greenwood to get back the serve on their side of the court Ben's been serving a lot of Keith Rice to try to mess with her offense.
She did a good job of sticking that pass and got her 10th kill of the match.
It's not a strategy that you often employ.
So if you've got a player who's killing you offensively to serve at them, try to get them out of the rotation.
I think a lot of times, yeah.
So you just try to wear them down so they can't just focus on attacking.
They have to focus on passing first to try to mess with them a little bit.
McCurry throws a lot on that back line and bit not ready for.
So kind of a scramble drill turns it to a big kill from a point.
Feels like McCoy is settling in a little bit after that.
First she had a better second set and had a great third set.
That's her ninth play of the match and blocks those up.
Big Hearts and Dickinson right there for Greenwood back to back points for he pulled off Carson Hart has been steady night that's her fourth block She has four kills on zero errors hitting it to 50.
So she's really helping Greenwood get it done.
Being on both sides offensively and defensively, that's big.
By Howard McCoy.
She tries to tip it across scramble drill for Greenwood and they can't get it done again.
Sometimes it's not about how hard you hit it, it's where you hit it.
That's right.
Ben did a good job staying calm there and putting the ball in the middle of the court, which is why Greenwood has struggled a little bit tonight.
So it's 1410 beaten.
This third set.
We're tied up at one apiece.
COOPER Back to serve for the Lady Panthers.
I'm not a tax bill of sale.
Oh, well, I might be the biggest corner of the set because you get Cooper off that serve line.
She's done a good job going on big run tonight.
So that's a big advantage for Greenwood.
Oh, seven Lagman Hammers runs that back line.
Greenwood can't dig it out.
And now it's 1511.
Lagman has had a great night.
That's her ninth kill.
She also has ten assists since they run a62 over a been and also seven digs, doing it all over the floor.
Surf romantic Grace Hardy sails long back to back misses there is help bring it out.
They've done a good job of tracking the ball to the line and letting those errors float on the seventh service error of the match permitting.
So that number starting to creep up a little.
Probably too high for Coach Cooper's liking.
Oh, gasp.
Again, the block there for Greenwood.
They try that quick set.
Not fooled.
Was the defense weak?
Good job by Greenwood of being high hands on the block, being prepared for the quick set knowing that that ball was going to go to Kennedy guest on a perfect pass.
That's a phrase we've heard a lot today.
High hands.
What exactly does that mean as a defender on the block?
Just three or four.
Since Benton runs such a fast offensive, the blockers allow their hands to drop below the net.
They're going to have a hard time not being late to the ball, so they've kept their hands high on the net so they can get over the net quickly to help slow Benton's hitters down.
Nice scramble job by Benton to keep that one alive.
Try a quick set there for Greenwood.
Doesn't work.
We'll reset outside of McCoy.
She tips it over the block.
Two defenders kind of collide.
They're gone Now.
I'm going to say a net violation in on Greenwood will give the points to Benton coach Jennifer Golden getting an explanation for that call.
I think the Greenwood side thought it was Laghman that was in the net right now, I'm going to try to get a little explanation of what to pass along to the lay up official.
I like look, the call is going to stand, so it's going to be 16, 13.
Benton maybe circle that one.
Yes.
Tried to take that on the second touch.
And that one sails long for those two teams.
The straight points there.
So really smart play by Greenwood.
They put that free in short so the center had to take it to get them out of system and guess took a risk.
Unfortunately it didn't go her way.
Guess as effective as that one dug out, sent a cross and sent the other direction.
Though Laghman might got a little lucky in that one might have rolled off the side of her hand, but it worked out like 1714 Lady Panthers with the lead.
Oh.
Oh, nicely done there for Greenwood's Colburn attacks the back row and finds an open space.
So far that ball is hard to hit on the right side as a right hander because you have to really be patient.
Let that ball across your body.
Fashion a nice job there of letting it cross, but still swinging high and swinging the corner.
Now Pilarte comes in and gets the kill Pressly pull at the senior It's a great west away shot to really challenge Gigi Rice as a blocker that's four kills for Pressly.
Oh, that's 1815.
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
Right tackle and block again there for Bitton and rejects the attack from Hart and they go right back to Hart She tries to tip just over the nets.
Oh, this couldn't get put back the other way.
So that one's going to go the way of the Lady Bulldogs.
Carson Hart finding a way to get the point for Greenwood.
That's her fifth kill on zero errors.
She's had a great offensive night for blocks as well.
Two point lead for Vinton Ries for the big attack.
I will say Benton was in the net and this one's going to go back the other way.
And just like the first two games of this set, Greenwood trailed through with her battling back.
That's something Greenwood has been consistent on all night long is not giving up on any play.
They just keep grinding and fighting through every single point.
It's a mark of a good team, high.
They get there.
But even better, blocks from Greenwood are going to reset for the Lady Panthers back outside the rice and be handled there by Cooper.
So she goes over the block in the back row, can't handle it for a bit and we are all tied.
It's a great job by Greenwood by staying tough offensively.
And even though they're getting blocked, they're covering well and staying aggressive.
That's Kiki Rice's 11th kill of the night excuse me, 12.
She's leading the team to go back to Rice.
On the far side of that one, though, sails long and in back on top and it's 26 attempts now for rice got 12 kills second most attempts on the team.
Oh log bit on the second touch might've cut the Greenwood defense napping They're really impressive play from 55 and maroon is a great core awareness really athletic play to be able to turn and be ready to turn the ball right off the bat slog them into 11th kill.
She has a double double with 11 assists.
It's a big answer there for Greenwood as Carson Hart registers another kill.
It's a great first contact by Greenwood, keeping them in system, making it really hard to defend, especially when you have Carson Hart in the middle 2019 Bitton clinging to a one point lead here in set number three big swing there for Bitton as Sterns hammers one home and now Bitton starting to advance towards that ever important third sad victory.
And Greenwood is going to take a time out 2119 and we'll take it with and we'll find out who's going to take a21 lead as we come back on Arkansas PBS Sports.
Looks like we have some new help in the marketing department action.
Into the area with everything you can see.
I think you do the work out here.
I'm fine, thank good.
How do you do?
Family and customer.
Friends, Family and country.
Big DNC.
All right.
My ex, everybody.
If you love seeing these televised high school sports championships, please consider making a gift to Arkansas PBS today.
It's been a really highly contested match and sets, as we expected, The two teams split the first two 2521 one go into each side and here we are locked in another tight one in set.
Number three, Green was done a great job in the whole entire match.
It just being really, really scrappy defensively.
Ben is an awesome job on the block and offensively have being staying aggressive here in the end of the third set will be interesting to see how this one shapes out going and Cooper back to serve for a bit and the inside out here is going to be huge Can't let here getting any kind of momentum rolling McCoy does just that drills one home for McCoy through third 10th kill the match for Howard Greenwood's Libérer who's stepping back to serve right now.
She has done an awesome job in serve received tonight really keeping Greenwood interesting and also defensively as well.
Great job by lagman gas can provide the decoy hammered home for and longer and is such a powerhouse offensively she's so explosive with her approach and arm swing that's her 12th kill of the night she's hitting around a 300 already now to serve for Benton 20 to 29 back to Laghman.
She can't put it down.
Greenwood scrambles it to McCoy.
She goes crosscourt big swing from Benton.
But the Greenwood defense position perfectly.
Oh, another miscommunication there by Greenwood.
They had a chance to really take advantage of a missed play ball.
And Stan Vinton's now two points away from taking this third set.
Delaney Cooper for Bentonville, a bear in the back row.
She's doing a great job reading those hitters and making some great defensive plays.
Greenwood needs to make a run.
Stay in this long game and sends one to the back row, and that's another kill 2420.
Getting in control of this third set now now have got set point been playing really tough off blocker defense there and Laghman is making a really smart swing even though she was on the ground and didn't jump to attack.
She swung high, put the ball in a really nice spot.
Well, again, Hari steps back to serve well.
Set number three on her hand.
McCoy current big swing handle by Benton.
They do get it across quick set guess that was deflected but out in set number three goes to Benton.
So after dropping the opening game Vinton storms back takes two and three and now they're one set away from going back to back is five a state champions?
We're going to step aside, set for between Bitton and Greenwood coming up.

You know, I think sports are really big to a lot of people.
And because it is an important part of our fabric and our community.
And the one good thing about what I've seen is it's high quality production.
You know, you think of small communities all over Arkansas, it's a big deal that they can turn on the TV or DVR or whatever and know they're going to get a quality product.
And so I think it just expands the the focus of what PBS are doing.
So PBS is doing a great job, and I think it's part of education.

There is a good look at what's coming up in the first two weekends of December football state championships coming your way.
December 1st, I believe, was the first date.
All that those first two weekends, seven championships over a ten day span and getting better than that, Mitten says, hoping that it doesn't get any better than today.
They've got a21 set lead on Greenwood here in the five state championship.
They slugged their way back after dropping the first set 33 kills on the match for Greenwood, 41 for a bit, and the offensive numbers have been slowly climbing up.
Honestly, the and I guess the disruption of the front line for both squads really jumped out to me for the first time since I left.
We're on the way here.
It's set number four and pretty good decision to go right to Carson.
Hard for Greenwood as she hammers home our seventh Kill the match, The Great Pass by Maya MCCORRY, helping Greenwood keep their middles involved.
And obviously, Carson Hart has had an amazing night tonight.
She's getting a 318 on seven kills.
Like you said.
All right.
I've been trying to answer back for a bit.
And that one, Doug, out on the back row in order to keep Rice that one the nicely placed there.
And that's the kill for Benton Ferguson's has done a really great job tonight for a bit and not just taking really big swings which he's also just been really smart and found two ways to be aggressive in other ways other than just swinging it back to Hart, that one mishandle by Benton.
But they able to get it across, keep it alive going back to Hart now another puts it down first.
Second kill of the set.
Greenwood takes a21 lead.
There's such a tune.
And in all day today here on Arkansas PBS Bobby Show.
AUBREY alongside Cassie Lloyd courtside for the five eight championship.
That's well, it's been about as good as we expected right now and sit cross-court we're going to say it is out little bit of a hesitation on the call.
Another line just going to touch here.
Correct.
So on the far side, it was a touch or move point on whether it was a hesitation to call or not as the skill is rewarded.
$2 billion Laghman logging her 13th kill of the match nine digs 11 seven Wonderful night that served sails long and puts Greenwood back on top three two Another service error for Benton.
So if you're looking for one thing to complain about, I guess if you're Coach Cooper, it would be the service errors.
I think that's right.
Six or seven errors excuse me, on only three aces.
That's a big area of growth in this fourth set.
Really good serve.
They're going to say, here we go.
Hits their four men.
Call it a little touch, whatever.
Either way, it's not it's not legal, not valid.
And a bit of discussion about that previous call, the way it's going to be four to lead for Greenwood really nice attack there from Denton.
The first time we've called a name for Lexi Mehan number 22, the senior senior by say that one catches the line Well Greenwood gets the kill from McCoy.
A little bit of a discussion between the officials on that far side.
Oh tough Look at it.
There course still thinking about the one line.
Yeah no review at the high school level, but no challenge cards.
Kennedy guest block right there for Greenwood.
We've got to get back to McCoy.
She goes cross-court and a big kill for the Lady Bulldogs.
McCoy has done a really nice job of switching up her shots.
Her previous kill kill.
She took it down the line.
This one, she went right away for a sharp four, making it really hard for the defense to decide where she's going to put the ball.
So at six three, Greenwood doubling up, beaten early here in the fourth, they go to gas and that one just hammered home for Benton.
So that's another kill for Kennedy.
She's now in double at ten.
Kennedy is so impressive with her explosiveness and athleticism on her approach and vertical makes it really tough to defend when she can hit over blockers and at a tough play there for Greenwood, can't complete the block that one falls to their side of the net and now it's six five.
That lead cut to one.
The block was there, just couldn't send it back, couldn't get close enough to the net, didn't get over the top.
No boy right into the block for a bit.
And that ties it up.
It's a great setup.
Great, great.
Close by the middle.
My hand right there.
She hadn't called her name all night.
And also we call twice in this fourth set it boy trying to attack that back roll that one sails well long.
And now Benton is on quite the run.
It's four consecutive for the Lady Panthers.
Kennedy gets the middle blocker doing a good job tonight, going on some service runs and playing defense behind it.
Very.
And blocks outs, Benton adds to the run.
That's five consecutive points for the Lady Panthers.
Yes.
Continues to be on serve now and sails long low so that streak comes at end at five.
Now it's eight seven Benton out in front with her back against the wall being down two sets to one you change anything you do as a coach I think it depends on the match.
You might change up match ups depending on where you feel like your team will be most successful defensively in blocking.
You might start in a different rotation to get there.
Hitters that are on into the front row sooner, There's a lot of different things that you could change up.
Another kill put down by Benton's palette.
Pressley's got six now in the match down.
Attack goes long, so Greenwood's going to be on third, trailing nine eight here in the fourth.
Really impressive crowd here tonight.
You can only see about half of it there.
And the far side would kill again.
Carson Hawks.
You expect these two teams to travel?
Well, those really successful athletic programs, state top to bottom, really great culture in both schools.
The big volleyball schools, both ways, no doubt both of them in line to win a football conference championship as well.
So that I'm hurt.
That's sick.
Attack goes long.
So Chris Young has said that they've got a big win next week in Little Rock.
Christian Greenwood battle for the conference title Next week sort of wraps up their Sunday East conference title.
On the football side, they're going to be the one seed.
They'll get a bye.
That's for a later time.
We're talking volleyball today.
No, Allen Put down nicely down the line.
Abby Hendricks.
Hendricks Now with four kills in the match is a great swing.
She was really patient on the ball, stayed open so she could take a good swing straight down the line line.
And shots have been successful for Benton tonight.
That's what Carson hurt with.
Yet another kill at the net.
She has been a powerhouse offensively and defensively.
11 Jan Greenwood, you got the lead here in the fourth and in the third there.
So that'll be an ace, the sixth, fifth ace of the day for Greenwood.
HAGAMAN She elevates and puts one down no longer and yet again being explosive, getting her 15th kill of the match on only four errors hitting a three over a 300.
It's been a really impressive offensive showing for her.
You know what?
We've got to scramble to get that one across and they can't.
So that's going to even have to match in the dozen.
You can really sense that tension is starting to pick up our coaching staff, the student sections, the fan bases, and each passing point, we're getting closer and closer.
Again, it's the big Yeah, You've been here on the biggest stage.
What's it like coaching in a match at this level?
It's stressful, obviously.
You just I just think you just got to really keep it calm.
So I think the kids vibe off of their coaches energy and just depending on the group and what energy they need.
But a lot of nerves.
So we coaches got to keep it calm and composed.
1312 Greenwood has got the lead right quick shift for Hearts right in the middle.
Am I going to take advantage of a of a live call and our Lady Bulldogs push that advantage too too.
I know we talking about it, but Carson Hart has been unbelievable tonight.
That's her 12th kill on zero errors.
Quick set for gas Gassner block and that one sails.
Why though Great work by Maya McCoy at the net.
Carson did a great job penetrating in there that Maya close that block the whole block.
Kennedy gets the green ones got a 1512 leave and Vinton's on going take a timeout out Got a good look at that replay.
Yeah.
Let's give it a big shout out real quick.
Troy Mitchell, our official statistician who's got to provide live stats as good.
Look at Troy right there.
He does it all year long for the triple play, provide live stats for our TV crew, but also all the media here in attendance.
So a big thank you to Troy Mitchell and his crew for that Matt last kill attempt, though.
You see the block when it goes back over, then it bounces off a bit and player.
So that's why the point was awarded to the Lady Bulldogs.
Now they've got a 1512 lead degree, has done a really nice job staying calm and composed and just playing their game.
They've been intense and passionate and have been really gritty all match long.
Even though they're down 2 to 1, that's not the time to stop now.
And you can tell that they've continued to do that as they lead the force at 15 to 12.
So Britain's got to try to put an end to this three oh scoring run for the Lady Bulldogs and it's just really been a match of runs.
So a couple of matches we had earlier today.
It's all about this trade and points.
Maybe you can get it one or two or three.
This match has been the complete opposite.
This has been big spurts, four or five or six even bit and had a run of eight points earlier in the night.
So.
So even if you're down three or four, it's easily within striking distance for both of these squads.
I think it's gas seems a little intuitive that can't return its amount of leads for up to four for the Lady Bulldogs, another great block by Mya McCoy and Carson Hart, the dynamic duo up there at the Net together 1612.
This is the largest lead in the SEC for the Lady Bulldogs.
Go outside the logjam.
I know it deflected up in that handled by the green wood defense can't get it across their gas was right there they might have gotten the had a heart is that one sent into the net.
It's a tough swing there by CARSEN Hart that kind of put her into the block and when you're facing Kennedy gets across the net you definitely want to go with that set to be into her hands.
1613 Rule the lead.
They go to Hart, she tries the tip.
Nice job, I guess, to adjust.
Kind of an unlucky play there for Greenlaw, but a really fortunate break for a bit.
And as that one just rolls down the tape and falls on the side of the Greenlaw Bulldogs, nice to see Kennedy guest smile after that one.
She made a couple of errors, but she had a great cover play and it fell her way.
Mari Come on now.
McCoy though, answers right back to Green.
And that's a really tough angle as she goes almost parallel with the match.
Very impressive swing That's something that Maya McCoy is very dynamic at is spreading the ball all across the floor.
Does a great job of putting her thumb down and swinging right away to hit that spot.
No answers, right?
Bang.
Lexie May hand's really starting to work her way into the offense.
It's a great setting choice there by the Bitton setter.
I think Green would expected that ball to go to gas, so the BLOCK stayed with her and she just went over the top of her and gave her a really great opportunity.
So That's five kills for Lexie.
Oh, you know, I go back to McCoy in blocks.
They're forbidden by McCoy, tries to juke shots and right over the knees it's perfectly placed.
And the Greenwood attackers got 40 kills in the match.
That's something that Green has really elevated this match or this set specifically is finding ways to the ball away for terminating points.
They said it's against the bills.
Cross court can't be handled by Greenwood so being able to answer right back it's a great high swing deep 116 score her a lot of points from the right side tonight as you take the ball back to so that's 11 kills for Kennedy you see her on the screen now she's back to serve a great rally going here between Britain and Greenwood.
1816 is the lead for the Lady Bulldogs McCoy of the attack again dug out by the back line back to McCoy.
Another touch, another great job by Bitton to keep the plate alive with Greenwood was saying that's four touches and they finally do get the call and 15 minutes to get the call with Bitton.
Now their coaches are up against it.
The great defensive rally on both sides of the net, both teams scrapping and working hard to coach Hooper, trying to get an explanation of it.
But the goal was for touches on Vinton, which gives Greenwood a 1916 lead back, and now the two officials going to confer with one another on the far side.
I think that is going to stand for touches there for Vinton.
And so now Greenwood had a three point advantage here in the fourth thoI serve receives blitz and deflected wide.
So she's going to get credit with her seventh kill Pressley.
Now Falmouth scored on the evening the big big answer there for a bit and after an emotional point yeah really good set Pressley took a really aggressive swing to that sharp cross and again answers back.
Parker Sterns has been a little quiet recently, but able to put that one down with her ninth kill the match and all of a sudden that three point lead that Greenwood had is down to one.
Benton is doing a really nice job of being aggressive defensively and scrapping to help get their hitters in good positions, go outside to Rice.
And she hammers one on that back row with Dugout by Cooper Hinton.
Just keep it alive.
Yeah, A quick touch there from Greenwood, though.
Answer Back by Benton.
One soft touch.
They're forbidden, but they do enough to keep it alive.
Really good rally going McCoy from the back row blocks Really big play by Evie Hendrix then did a good job of staying consistent in Greenwood Sharp, throwing over a lot of tips and rolls, and they stayed disciplined and put up a good block right there.
Kiki Reisinger along.
So Vinton's now scored four consecutive points and Greenwood is going to take a timeout, four straight points for a bit and we're going to step aside with them.
Lady Panthers trying to wrap up a state championship.
We'll see if they can get it done right after this win You choose Conway Regional.
You're choosing a health care partner rooted in your community with nine primary care locations in five counties.
We believe in building lasting relationships centered on trust and personalized care.
But our family care for years and we're back inside Bank Ozark Arena here at Hot Springs.
And we have got another great set going on between Benton and Greenwood.
These two five heavyweights of us have been slugging it out.
Vinton scored the last four, and now they've got a 2019 lead.
I think Benton, a great job offensively.
Greenwood has taken some really, really big things.
But Ben has 75 digs on the match and their defense is really keeping them alive and they're finding ways to terminate balls.
The other side of the net 75 digs for a bit and their defense is a big reason they're in this championship match and now they're going to reason the chance they're going to maybe win one.
But that serve goes long.
So that ends the four old scoring run.
Coach Golden gets another Miss serve after one of her time out.
She's got the golden touch as well.
That's bad, Joe.
I'm surprised it took me this long to it.
And there's bad touch there, though.
And Benton gives one away and the Lady Bulldogs, now 2120.
Greenwood has done an excellent job all match longest serving tough and in from the serving line.
It's really been a struggle for Benton getting them out of out of system.
They have five aces on only two errors in the whole match.
Oh, this is Colburn BURNETT.
Serve Guy McCoy from the back line.
That went right into the net, though.
You mess up this match at 21 oh 2120 long range one in Benton.
Never no other way.
Race two, four and maybe some Andrew Hudspeth Let's go.
Greenwood goes the heart and she puts it down quickly.
Carson Harris Having a great night.
12 kills for the Lady Bulldogs win.
Greenwood could get a solid first contact when Hart is in the front row.
They are very, very successful.
12 kills on one they are hitting a 355.
Just an amazing match and nice dig there by Howard.
Go back to hearts Does Greenwood that one handled this time by Benton.
Another great jig, this time by McCoy.
It's one too many there for Benton.
Another big swing after big swing, Stearns finally puts one down.
Greenwood was scrapping defensively and making some awesome digs, but Benton terminated a little too much for them to handle.
Only two.
All here in set.
Number four Greenwood, trying to force the fifth and decisive set, didn't try to raise the trophy now and into the net, though.
From Hart's.
Now Lady Panthers take the advantage and Greenwood is going to take a timeout.
We'll stay here with those 2322.
The untimely error there for Hart, who's playing exceptional today.
But now here we are.
Mitten can taste that.
There are two points away.
What are you telling your squad?
If you're coaching it for Golden, they just need to stay calm.
That even though I mean the sets matter.
I understand that Burton's up 2 to 1, but they played an amazing match.
They've had a really great set.
They need to stay calm and stay consistent on their side of the net and they'll be okay.
Take a look at the matches or the stats of the match.
Greenwood hitting one away and hitting 197.
We've got six players double digits in kills now.
I think the balance where he mostly squats have really stood out to me McCoy Hart and Rice for Greenwood logging in guest concerns for Benton all with ten or more on the evening.
No I talked about that before the match and it could be a really special night offensively because both teams are so balanced across the net.
That makes the defense a lot harder, get some blocking a lot more difficult, which both teams have blocked it awesome tonight, but the offensive showing has been really fun to watch and to mean bit and serve.
Coming out of the timeouts and they've got a one point advantage.
More importantly, they only need two to end this one oh the reserves handled by McCoy right back to Hart that one as well.
Say a touch of the net.
Yes another kill for Hart's really Great pass by Maya McCoy to keep them in system, having all three options and of course putting that ball on Carson Hart's arm to get her 13th kill of the night just by a fingernail at one touch the net that was a huge for Greenwood to go their way now and sails wide though can't take advantage of it as the service my wiser is errant but you catch it catches a break there Wilmington serving for a championship point here 2423 Hardy back to serve oh go outside McCoy Greenwood's biggest header comes through in the biggest moments.
Torrey Howard that past you said that had had an awesome passing and even tonight putting the ball on Maya McCoy's arm Greenwood's big impact player.
You can never anything but you had to believe everybody in the arena knew that was going on.
McCoy was going to know when a Greenwood block comes up big McCoy with back to back big first to kill and now great set up on the block How quickly things turn bit and serve and for the championship and now Greenwood has got a chance to force game five Another quick touch there but no there are savings in the match and that's going to give the Mac the game to Greenwood.
2624 is the score in this one and we're headed to a fifth and deciding said we're going to step aside.
Do not go anywhere.

And they have that keepsake of having that game on TV to have with them the rest of their lives.
It looks like we have some new help in the marketing department getting high into the air with everything you can see.
I think you do the work out here.
Fine.
How do you do it?
Family and customer friendly family and comfy dancing.
All right.
I am actually very good.
We're back inside Bank Ozark Arena.
You see it.
Their match is tied two games apiece between Benton and Greenwood and the fifth.
And deciding set is right in front of us.
We're going to 15.
So this is essentially the tiebreaker.
Then a 25 for the first four, this one is going to 15.
Greenwood's got to haves.
The momentum is that they won that four set.
What are you telling your team when it comes down to this?
Starting fast is so important, especially when the set is only 215, like you said, really taking care of your side of the net, minimizing your errors and playing hard, which is what both of these teams have done all night long.
Yeah, you've got to approach this differently.
As a coach, did you kind of save those timeouts?
You know, in a normal seven here, it's it's so short that, you know, you give up two or three consecutive points.
Maybe you're burning a timeout early, even if it's, you know, 4152, something like that is exactly right.
You can't afford for servers to go on big runs.
And the fifth, there's not there's not a lot enough time or points for it.
So the final championship of the day is going to be decided in the fifth and final sets.
Let's go and get in quickly starts and that one goes long, low and Greenwood like they've done in almost every set to this point scores first.
Yes and we have Eckhardt on the serving line right now.
She has three aces on the match.
Who's leading her team in aces and one again set low.
So back to back hitting.
Miscues from Benton gives Greenwood the early to nothing lead.
Greenwood's defense is doing a really great job of being disciplined, being soft on contact and not reaching for those balls that are going on.
That car can't keep the drive going, those that serve into the net.
So now on the here in the fifth, the big swing there, now that goes too long from Dickinson and just like that Greenwood's shoot off and lead the first great first four points of the match all unforced errors and see a little fist that jitters oh I know the nerves have to be through the roof of the state championship riding on this one set a nice dig here by Cooper.
But I'm going to say Benton was in the net.
That's going to give a point to the Lady Bulldogs, The good swing by Kiki Ries.
That's her 13th kill of the match.
She's had a great match and she'll be big for the Bulldogs in this beside 13 kills for both Rice and Hart 15 for McCoy.
On the Greenwood side is Laghman four beaten now and she gets another kill.
That's a match higher number 16 for her.
I've talked about Laghman a lot tonight, but she is just such an impact player for that.
And she not only has 16 kills, but she's also hitting close to a 315 digs, 18 assists.
She just gets it done all across the board for Ben Cooper on the serve Going outside to McCoy that's coming right at us can't be blocked And McCoy gets another kill for Greenwood.
That's number 16.
That shot has been so successful for McCoy tonight that really sharp wrist away shot to zone four.
She's found a lot of kills in that area blossom and tries to go crosscourt.
Greenwood's got to try to scramble for it.
They can't.
Another big kill for the Lady Panthers analysis of the heavyweight match is straight and blow for blow.
It's really fun to watch his offense and the big swings at both sides of the net are playing Greenwood, riding a seven game winning streak heading to this championship match.
You asked him probably three weeks ago, you never would have thought they would make a run like this.
But here they are playing their best volleyball.
McCoy gets another one.
You played this team a couple times this year.
This is just the same Greenwood Squad you saw at that point.
This not I talked to Mr. Golden Coach Mr. Coach us just a little bit ago and he said, this isn't the same team that we saw when we played them early in the season.
They had are not backing down to teams anymore.
They're fighting for every point.
They're really believing in themselves and team eating really, really hard.
It's all about playing well at the right time of the season.
Doesn't Matter what you do the first month or two, as long as you're playing well at the end, that means October four high school volleyball in Arkansas.
And they're certainly doing it.
They are locked up in a tight one here, five, five here in the fifth with Benton McCoy again on the attack.
That one dug out, though, coming right at us.
Coach Jennifer Golden saving us my laptop and your water.
You did a great job on that swing.
The set was a little low and died inside, but she found a way to stay on top of the ball and keep the ball in play six five.
Greenwood and McCoy back to serve quick after gas or tap doesn't work, though not Greenwood has a chance to it.
Back McCoy again on the back line from Laghman in 22.
Lexy Mehan coming up big in the late moments of this match and Eric Hill ties it all up at six.
It's a great swing finding the scheme of the block, finding the floor and know Kelly Rice goes off in the kill.
Kiki Rice with number 14.
Greenwood has done such a good job on their serve, receiving their first contact of keeping the center end system, giving Kiki a lot of opportunity to take that ball down the line.
There and then serve receive by Benton and get all the offensive and get it decided on right here.
Go outside the Rising again.
She puts one down that catches enough of the line, gets the call and Vinton's got an eight six lead.
Kiki Rice has just been consistent all match long for the Greenwood Bulldogs that's her 15th kill hitting around the 230.
So it's too early to be counting points if you're Greenwood Hart on the attack that one took out by Cooper on, the back row again, another big kill for mayhem.
Lexi now has eight in the match calls within a point at eight seven smash hands and a good job of swinging high and D really focusing in on that 516.
Come on, get up, get up.
Got a block there for Greenwood.
Now they've got a chance to go on the offensive and set it outside for Rice.
She goes cross-court and puts it down.
Kiki Rice was kill number 16 nine seven is the advantage for the Lady Bulldogs.
He's doing a great job in her transitioning off and getting herself in a good to take a really strong, aggressive approach to put a good system on the ball and go wow and catches the line and says the line judge a big kill and a big, big break there for Parker Sterns Burger.
Sterns has that same scheme that 516 that's been very successful for Benton all night long.
And I say that Carter line nine eight Greenwood K Rice walked nicely there by the defense and Greenwood can't over the bodies on the floor now we're all scoring up at nine apiece Tori Howard working hard for her hitters.
They're trying to be there for the cover.
Unfortunately, this didn't work out.
Hudspeth on the serve set up Rice.
Nothing clean on this was on this ball for either side.
So far know that one sale's long.
You're going to say Greenwood was in there that though that's a big break for Benton as that attack sailed long and that gives the Lady Panthers a ten nine lead here in the fifth.
Let's go.
All right.
Right in the middle, right after a blocking attempt and sales into the front row and a big bounce back point there for Greenwood.
That starts with three oh, run for Benton.
Three oh.
Doesn't sound like a match.
But here in the fifth, it's going to be in the world.
Now it's a race to five.
Wagman hammers one.
McCoy couldn't handle that one.
Crosscourt Now Benton takes the lead.
The stutter gave Laghman a really nice fast tempo to help her beat the block on that swing.
Really explosive approach.
Hard, fast swinging to get the kill.
Delaney Cooper back to serve the junior forbidden goal outside of McCoy or Touch Can't get it over the block back to McCoy again.
Blocks and block coming up big there for Greenwood and now finally put down for Benton.
That's five out of the last six points that Benton scored that's going to force Jennifer Gold to take a time out.
It's 12 to 10.
Ben doing a really great job on the blocking right now, really setting up a good block, penetrating low and over making Greenwood work very, very hard for their points.
These two teams duke it out really since you started over 2 hours ago, 705 with the start time.
It's after nine here, Hot Springs.
They started the day with a great match in the six A We're ending it with another great one in five eight.
It's Coach Hooper trying to go back to back with Bit and Lady Panthers and they're three points away from doing so But Greenwood obviously stands in their way and this this point right here, if you're Coach Golden you've got to be chilling out.
You got to sell out.
Boyle and arms dive and bodies.
Make sure you keep it alive.
That's right.
The first contact here is going to be really important to help Greenwood stay in the system so they can be aggressive offensively.
They have Maya McCoy and Carson Hart front row right now, which is great options both ways.
Keep her still serving forbidden three Greenwood right there going over to McCoy a quick jump there by Vinton turned away the block comes back though and can't get a touch it Good Greenwood's wise there and now Bitton is smelling it.
They're up 1310 that fast offensive play by Greenwood just really great awareness for been giving them their 13th block of the match All the big runs seem to come with Cooper hit serve for Ben tonight.
Oh not handled cleanly Greenwood has to just get it over first perfectly timed.
Got lucky there for Greenwood as Cooper couldn't handle that return in a big, big break for Greenwood.
Really smart play by Ella Dickinson.
She has to put her free ball over, but she knows she has to challenge in order to get beat.
Not a system.
And putting it in a deep corner obviously worked out for her.
Three Howard serve now for Greenwood and go alignment dug out nicely on the back row they're going to McCoy has to touch it over but the block there for forget big time block for a big time player right in the middle and Greenwood is going to take a timeout That's been such a huge weapon for beating night now 13 blocks in the match at offense turning into offense has been a big key for their success.
Absolutely and that marks Kennedy against eighth block of the match.
She is a force to be reckoned with at the net, both offensively and defensively.
And you can really see that it will get Meserve Greenwood a little bit knowing that she's over there on the other side of the net, 14 blocks, eight of which from Kennedy, Gaston now beaten and she's got a couple cracks at its four championship here.
It's been really impressive to watch these two teams go at it.
Yeah, I mean, I know it's cliche to say I'm a both of these teams played well enough to win the title today.
They sure did.
They have scrapped hard.
They have worked extremely hard for every single point that they've been that they've achieved and gotten.
And it's going to be interesting to see how it plays out.
Greenwood has not backed down all match long.
Don't expect them to back down to 11 to 14 in the besides it, all four sets have been decided by five points or less.
And that's going to be the same here today.
It's going to be answers for a bit and number 18, Anna Grace Hardy going to set the ball in her hand with the championship on the line.
Greenwood goes out to McCoy, blocks Greenwood, can't get to it, and Benton goes back to back.
We said it was been the biggest aspect of this match and one of their title defense in that front line defense for, Benton is just too much.
They were really aggressive on the net all night.
Obviously, Kennedy guest led the blocking force with nine blocks total in the match all around their pin blocker, set up a great block and their defense played really well behind it, made it really difficult for Greenwood to put balls away so bit and takes set number five and they win this one 3 to 2.

It's 1511 in the fish sets and that's why they're taking on the hardware.
Greenwood about to be handed their state runner up trophy and will earn well-deserved.
They had won seven straight heading to this championship match and they fought valiantly here in Hot Springs.
And really, there was no difference in these these two teams, to be quite honest.
There were both teams were super aggressive offensively.
Both teams had three attackers that were in double digit kills.
The defense was great, passing was great, blocking was great.
It just didn't fall Greenwood's way.
So.
Nick Lasker got to hand out the last trophy of the day, and Bitten certainly earned this one as they had to claw back.
They dropped the first set, lost an emotional four set, but they do it just enough.
Now they're taking on the five state title for the second consecutive year.
Really impressive performance as we'll take a look at the stats for the match.
And they were really even early right down the middle 123 hitting percentage for Greenwood, 198 for Bitton.
You can see the attacks, the aces, the bigs, the kills.
Big advantage there for for a bit and in the blocks and really those that last number and maybe the story of the match that's right now having 15 blocks on the night really helped them with their 65 kills and limited Greenwood to 54 which is still an amazing match but that definitely gave Fenton the advantage at the net.
Take a look at the highlights from today's five state championship game and there was a ton of them.
You're talking about 18 kills for Bella Lagman, Parker Stearns with 13, Kennedy Gass with 12.
And then really Lexie Mayhem came on late with eight and that was the offense for MIT.
Bella Lagman was my highlight of the night.
She had 20 assists and 18 kills.
She had an amazing night offensively and defensively.
Not only what you're putting balls away, but she was putting her hitters in a really great position when she was in the back row to put balls away and she really helped her team become successful in the state champions tonight.
Yeah.
Maya McCoy led the way for Green with 18 kills.
Kiki Ries had 16 and Carson ARD had at 14.
It really was a three headed monster for the green wood attack, but just could not get it done tonight.
So Bitton wins it three two and they're taking home the hardware back to Selene County as they win the five state championship.
