Retailers say changes in state policy are deterring potential buyers

New Jersey has a goal of 330,000 zero-emission vehicles registered by the end of 2025. To reach the goal, the state needs to create more robust incentives, said Pam Frank, CEO of ChargEVC. Recent moves to phase out a sales tax exemption for EVs and steeply increase EV registration fees do the opposite, she said.
