It is a beautiful day in Hot Springs, Arkansas at Majestic Park, and it's time for the two way state championship game between Tuckerman and Woodlawn.
I'm RJ Hawk, along with Jamie Brazil and JB.
What an outstanding facility.
What an outstanding weekend it's going to be for softball action in Arkansas.
There's a reason it's named Majestic Park RJ.
It is majestic.
Beautiful facilities here in Hot Springs.
The Spa City basketball state championships are already here.
Why not?
Baseball and softball?
It's gonna be a lot of fun.
Well, let's look at some players to watch for both these two teams.
And first we will start with Woodlawn.
The Lady Bears 27 and six on the season.
And they've got a dual athlete in Lacey Rawls who's going to be the pitcher today.
Yeah I mean she's a player that can really do it from all sides of the field, all facets of it offensively, defensively, you name it.
Tucker is going to need that.
They're going to need to stay aggressive as well against the Woodlawn team that likes to fill up the zone.
Some keys to the game for Woodlawn in this ballgame.
Yeah you know a lot of it is going to be doing the small things right defensively.
Sound coach you talked about that.
Making sure you clean things up in that regard.
But then you've also got to come through with two outs.
Be able to have some timely hitting games like this.
Obviously you could say the team that has the fewest errors wins, but you also got to execute in the big moments.
Now for the Tuckerman Lady.
Bulldogs are 27 and nine.
Last time they won a state championship was 2022 and they've got a great player in Briston Wheeler hitting 512 on the season.
Yeah, and only a sophomore.
That's unbelievable.
And the fact of the matter is the amount of home run she hit last year set a record for Tuckerman 14 long ball.
She's got eight this year.
She had 67 RBIs a year ago 61 now legit legit pop from the sophomore.
The the keys for Tuckerman in this one.
Yeah you know talk to Coach Soden.
His biggest thing was staying aggressive early.
They find a lot more success whenever they attack early and really try to attack that zone, because they know Woodlawn is going to try to get ahead in the count, throw a lot of strikes.
If you get a good pitch, maybe a mistake pitch, take advantage and see what happens.
Well, it's going to be an outstanding day of softball as both teams are being announced here at Majestic Park for this one, for the two eight girls state championship game.
And we're going to expect some big crowds.
We just saw the two a boys game.
The crowd was fantastic for in fact, the Woodlawn fans just walked right across the way over to the softball complex to watch the, softball action.
So we will have all the two action coming up next as you're watching the Centennial Bank, state baseball and softball championsh This broadcast is underwritten in part by.

Back here at Jackie Robinson Field at Majestic Park, you can see the crowd there.
That's out there on the berm here at Jackie Robinson Field.
And there is a big contingent of fans coming in to watch this one.
And there's the Woodlawn Lady Bears as they're getting ready to come into this one.
27 and six have never won a state title in softball.
They were a runner up in 2002, and they're taking on a Tuckerman Lady Bulldogs team who's won two state championships, the last coming in 2022.
They're 27 and nine.
So both teams very comparable in this ballgame.
Tucker two and oh and state championship games.
Woodlawn oh and one.
But they haven't been in a while.
How do you handle the nerves against a team that's, you know, been relatively here a handful of times.
It always comes in early.
If you can settle in pitching or hitting early innings, the team that does it likely comes out with a win.
You know, before the ball game, you and I were able to go talk to both coaches and Chad Soden his he's got two daughters.
His his youngest daughter is Matt Maddox Stoughton who's playing shortstop today for Tuckerman, his oldest daughter, though she actually won back to back state championships.
And she's actually coaching travel softball now.
And so, softball runs big in the in the Soden family.
No doubt the Aqua Sox, they got it really going off out there at Northeast Arkansas.
And there's a look at late at Emma Davis who's going to be the pitcher today for Tuckerman.
The defensive lineman for Tuckerman today.
You've got Davis on the mound.
Mackenzie Hutchinson behind the plate Megan Richardson at first base.
Allie Sampson at second.
Maddox Soden who we just talked about at shortstop.
Briston Wheeler at third.
And then your outfield.
You've got Emily Barnett, Josie Branch and Bailey Poe in right field.
And that is the defensive alignment today for Tuckerman.
As for the Woodlawn Lady Bears, they're going to have Jake Hoyt, batting first with Kendall Tuck in in the two hole.
She's actually signed with National Park College, so she'll be playing here quite a bit.
And then you've got Lacey Rawls, Molly Shelby, Addison Hall, and, Carson Chastain, Bailey Michaud, Anderson Wright and Maley Simmons.
That's the batting order for the Woodlawn Lady Bears today in the two day state championship game.
So we're just about sitting ready to go.
Jaycee Hoyt is the first up, batting 466 on the season with seven home runs and 33 RBI.
Emma Davis She is a dog on the mound, 16 and five on the season, 105 innings pitched with a 1.99 ERA, and we are underway here at Majestic Park.
First pitch is swung on and lifted to the outfield, and that's the first hit of the ball game by Jake Hoyt to start things for Woodlawn.
Wow.
Great start.
First pitch of the whole day is a base hit to left center having a leadoff hitter.
And Hoyt with that much power that good of an average, she is really a tone setter.
Kendall took the shortstop, batting 396.
She'll come up next as Woodlawn has a runner on here as we start the two day state championship took, as we talked about, signed with National Park College.
Pitch by Davis is outside and so that'll bring up A10 count.
They get so big for Woodlawn early to get aggressive.
Get that hit.
Give a chance for two.
Now with that 396 average.
She's got pop two with three home runs out of the two spot.
But one thing that's impressive about Rau or by Emma Davis this year 111 strikeouts only two walks.
That is some command if I've ever seen something.
I mean, that's that's crazy good.
The strikeout to walk ratio.
Unheard of.
Two those the count as Ralls or excuse me Emma Davis will wind up and throw it in there.
And now we've got A30 count.
So you got a, you know, a first pitch strike.
That's right to left field.
Maybe rattle Davis a little bit.
Someone that doesn't walk very often.
She's going to have to fill up the zone here.
Three.
Oh pitch on the way and it's going to miss.
So they're going to call it a strike on the outside corner to go three one.
Yeah.
Two was taken all the way there.
As you likely expect three one might be similar.
But she's going to get a green light if it's something that she can drive.
You just don't want to run into an out.
After Davis has struggled to find his own.
Here's the pitch.
And that's swung on out to short.
Gets past the shortstop so.
And into the outfield.
And we're going to have a runner going all the way to third.
That is point.
And now you've got runners on the corners for the Woodlawn Lady Bears.
Made a dream start for Woodward.
How about that for Kendall two just rips it past the shortstop on A31 hitter's count.
You get the leadoff hitter base knock Davis right a little bit, drive in another hit wonders at the corners.
Why do you gotta think there's price nerves going right now?
You're in a state championship game, you know.
And really for Emma Davis, you want a pitcher like this that that has pitched a lot that no situations.
And And I said she only had two walks.
That was, a mess.
Misread my own writing.
She's had 22 walks this year.
But really just she's a really got a lot of command on the mound.
First pitch is going to be inside.
Call the ball.
Runner takes second base on that throw.
Also, you're right.
I mean, it's still.
Her numbers are great.
She doesn't walk very often, but you can tell nerves a little bit early.
Woodlawn.
That first pitch attacking I think really set the tone.
That's a great jump at the top of the lineup.
They got a chance to do damage.
One of those the count and that's swung on chopped out to short.
Soden is going to pick it up throw it to first.
They got the first out, but we also had the first run of the ball game and now a runner advancing to third, and they were able to tag her out at third.
We've got two outs in the inning.
Wow.
That's a huge break for Tucker and obviously giving up the run.
But the base running waifu Tucker Tuckerman able to take advantage.
Now there's two outs and the bases empty.
So that's three five on the put out for the second out six three by rolls.
Now you've got Molly Shelby at the plate.
Shelby takes the pitch outside as she comes in, playing third this year with a 3.76 average, seven home runs and 17 RBI.
Right now.
Here's the pitch by Davis.
Gonna be down for ball two.
Still falling behind is Davis hitter's count to a very powerful hitter.
And Shelby with that legit pop seven home runs as you mentioned.
Two balls no strikes.
Here's the pitch by Davis.
That's a changeup that's going to catch the outside corner for a strike.
So on this Woodlawn team there's only two players that are signing to go play balls somewhere in next year.
And you've got Carson Chastain who's signed with Henderson State two one.
Swung on chopped out to third.
Picks it up throws it across by Wheeler.
And that's going to do it for the inning.
So Woodlawn scores one run in the inning off two base hits.
They had the early lead in the two eight girls state championship game.
You're watching the Centennial Bank state softball championships on Arkansas TV sports.

We are committed to serving Arkansas today and for generations to come.
Thank you for being part of the Arkansas TV family.
Well, we head to the bottom of the first inning.
It's Tucker turn.
Is there going to send Maddox, Snowden, Bryson Wheeler, and Jose Branch to the plate as they trail one to nothing in this ball game to Woodlawn.
The defensive alignment today for Woodlawn, you're going to have Carson Chastain at first base, Kaylee Mitchell at second, Kendall Duke at short, Molly Shelby at third.
In the outfield, Mellie Simmons is in left, Jake Hoyt in center, and Addison Holland is in right field is the first pitch is going to be called a strike to Madison.
So are Maddox, Oden, and then your defensive linemen.
At the pitcher's mound, you've got Lacey Rawls, who is on the mound for Woodlawn.
Lacey Rawls has thrown 110 pitches this year.
She's got a second strike call, but 0.946 ERA this season with 235 strikeouts.
Yeah, it's unreal and has 110 innings pitched.
As you mentioned, there.
That's a player that's seen a lot of innings, seen a lot of big time moments and a swing and a miss.
There's another strikeout as Maddox Soden goes down on strikes for the first down for Woodlawn.
That's a really good approach.
You get the lead one.
Nothing could have been worse.
Tucker and able to get around it.
But how do you respond?
And that's a really aggressive command at the plate.
So now Bryson Wheeler's at the plate batting 512 on the season eight home run, 64 RBI.
She fouls that one back for the first pitch she's seen so far.
That's four pitches and four strikes.
Pretty efficient.
Yeah for Rawls.
But this is a dangerous sophomore.
You got to be careful.
Don't come in too much.
Second pitch is fouled back into the net to quickly go.
Oh and two on deck Josie Branch the center fielder.
That's three sophomores for Tucker right at the top of their lineup.
How about that.
Here's the oh two swung on and missed.
And that'll be the second out of the ballgame.
Back to back strikeouts six pitches.
My goodness Lacey rolls efficient much man oh man that's a dandy.
That last pitch there all kinds of movement.
No chance for Bryson Wheeler to catch up now Josie Branch the center fielder at the plate batting 465 on the year 25 RBI's.
So we'll take a change up.
The catch the outside corner for a strike.
Well, I'm so impressed with rolls and just her hitting her spots.
Getting ahead.
Seven pitches, seven strikes.
Here's the 01I don't hit the turf and it takes the count.
That's the first ball that Lacey Rawls has thrown so far.
Yeah she was flirting with an immaculate inning.
I mean, goodness gracious, I wasn't going to say anything.
I don't want to jinx it.
I don't want to be my fault.
But, man, Lacey Rawls, a great start.
If you're Jose Branch, you're likely getting a strike.
If not, don't chase.
Don't help her out.
One one's on the way, and that went way high over her head.
Take the count to two and one.
And you know, really this year for Tuckerman, they've had three pitchers and Lacey Rawls, Molly Shelby and Carson Chastain.
Those are the three that have gotten to this point.
Here's the pitch swung on and missed.
And now you've got deuces wild at two and two.
You know rolls has got that pitch right there.
It's got so much movement on it.
Moving into the left handed hitter.
It's so tough to square up for that reason.
She's got a lot of pitches in her repertoire.
Here's a ball that was put into play over the shoulder.
Catch that time by Kendall Duque.
And we are headed to the second inning as Woodlawn.
They lead it one to nothing after they retired the first three batters for Tuckerman.

Well, we head to the top of the sixth inning or top of the second inning.
I'm trying to advance the game.
Oh my goodness.
And there's a look right now at Emma Davis as she is down one to nothing in this ballgame.
And she'll face, Addison Holland, Carson Chastain and Kaylee Michaud and we'll get this thing going here in the top of the second inning.
J.B.
Brazil I'm RJ Hawk.
Glad to have you along.
Where we may be across the state of Arkansas.
It's championship action all weekend long.
We start today.
We've got championships tomorrow.
We've got championships tonight.
No tomorrow and then on Saturday as well.
Just getting started here from Spa City.
So Emma Davis steps back on the mound for the Lady Bulldogs and she will face Addison Holland.
And we've got a time.
It looks like there's an issue over down the third base line.
That there may have been a ball that went on to the field.
So the umpire is going to go over there and chat with them and looks like he's going to talk to Coach Soden and get that all worked out.
Maybe something to do with something at home plate.
Also, maybe somebody dropped something.
An earring that could be could be guess.
Yeah.
Well, we're back to action now is by the way, I think we're going to have great weather today and tomorrow.
Saturday may be a bit of a risk, but, the weather, you could ask for a better, better weather date than what we've got right now is.
Here's the first pitch.
It'll be low to Addison Holland.
Yeah.
I think we were worried about potential rain so far that stayed away.
I hope it stays that way.
But you're right.
Beautiful weather for a state championship softball matchup.
Holland, batting 290 on the year with 18 RBI.
No misses.
High or no.
They're going to call it a strike and take the count to one and one.
I think it's big for Davis here.
For Tucker I mean you already gave it that one run.
Just settle in a little bit.
If you can respond well and limit the Woodlawn bats, you're in a good spot on one.
Swung on, lifted out to center field to center.
Fielder.
Branch is back, and she'll make the catch for the first out here in the top of the second inning.
It's a big out loud out, but it still stays in the park.
That's big for Davis in games like this.
High moments.
You just got to get out.
It doesn't matter how you get them.
You've got to be able to get out to give your offense a chance to get back.
Only down by one.
So that'll bring up Carson Chastain.
Now, the first baseman committed to are signed with Henderson State and she'll take the first pitch and fouls it back.
She's hitting 381 on the season with three home runs and 21 RBI.
What a luxury to have that kind of player at the six spot in your lineup.
That means you're loaded in the offensive department.
Yeah, yeah.
Oh, one pitch by Emma Davis.
I will miss low.
And that takes the count to one and one.
Well, you got to imagine the way that Rawls is pitching.
She's good, but you're going to be able to potentially get some offense against her.
You just got to keep things at bay against a really good Woodlawn offense.
Here's the pitch.
It swung on and lifted out to left center field, and coming in to make the catch was Emily Barnett for the second out.
It's a couple fly outs there Davis getting again contact was was not bad.
Maybe got sold off a little bit didn't float it out.
The left is deeply but those are always an adventure in games like this.
Now you've got Kaylee Michaud at the plate, the second baseman batting 312 on the year with 15 RBI.
Emma Davis deliver the first pitch.
Yeah, that was a nice little sweeper that missed down in way for the first ball.
You know, after that first inning could have been a whole lot worse once they got that double play.
Davis has looked pretty good ever since.
One zero pitch swung right back at the box for a base hit into center field.
Kaylee Michaud on first base with a base hit.
That's a good piece of two out hitting for Michele.
Waiting for something to dry.
That one's kind of down and in on the inner part of the plate, though able to get her back through, extend it and rip it right back from what you can.
So now you've got the eight hole hitter and Aniston right at the plate.
She's the catcher today batting 281 with 15 RBI with a runner at first base and two outs.
This is up high.
You know, to have a sophomore as your catcher, that's saying something.
That's a that's a really good arm for a sophomore.
But then that's one of the most important positions in the game.
Here's the one zero swung on and fouled back into the net.
Takes the count to one and one.
You know a lot of people kind of counted Woodlawn out.
They didn't expect them to be here this year because they lost one of the best pitchers in the state last year.
They lost their catcher last year, their third baseman and their center fielder.
Yeah.
All the youth on this Woodlawn team.
Pitch is going to miss low and outside.
Takes the count to two and one.
It's a really good discipline from a sophomore.
Helps when you're a catcher, you're able to establish and see the zone earlier in the game, but still writes discipline for a sophomore.
It's really impressive.
Two one's going to miss up top.
And that's frankly the difference between a one ball and two strike count.
And now two one which is now three one.
Because you took what was a pitcher's pitch.
Now you're in the driver's seat in the at bat.
Davis has got to be careful.
You don't want to allow two runners aboard here.
Here's the three.
One little miss outside.
Now you've got two runners on.
Michaud is going to head to second base.
Right.
Will be at first base.
And now the nine hole hitter and Bailey Simmons.
This is still a big opportunity for Woodlawn.
They've already got one run.
They felt like they kind of ran out of an inning in the first.
Had a chance to do more damage.
You flip things over for the top of the lineup here.
You're really sitting pretty all with two outs mind you.
Simmons batting 393 on the year oh oh.
It's going to be called a strike.
Hit that outside corner.
Simmons playing left field today for Woodlawn.
And the fourth highest batting average at the nine spot.
What a luxury to have that man oh one changeup outside misses.
It's one and one I'm gonna tell you right now the discipline at the plate.
That's what's been so impressive.
Coaching staff for Woodlawn does a really good job with these hitters.
Both Coach Hewitt and Coach Lim.
One and one delivered by Emma Davis going to be slapped.
And the left field side.
It goes foul.
Oh.
So now you've got the count at one and two.
Yeah it's a really good piece of hitting from Simmons.
But a better job pitching to get ahead one and two Davis definitely wants to get it out here.
You don't want to face the top of the lineup with the bases loaded or another run already.
Come in Davis with the pitch caught the outside corner for a strike out.
The first strikeout of the ballgame for Emma Davis, and she sits them down with no damage done.
Woodlawn.
They lead two.
They leave two runners on, had a base hit, and we head to the bottom of the second inning where Woodlawn, they lead it one to nothing.

Our Jayhawk alongside J.B.
Brazil and Tucker is going to be at the plate.
They're going to send Megan Richardson, Allie Sampson and Mackenzie Hutchison to the plate.
The 4 or 5 six hitters as the first ones fouled off.
This is the part of the lineup you can do some damage if you're Tucker, but after getting set down a one, two, three against rolls in the first, she's a good pitcher, but you want to be able to get a run back or at least put some pressure on.
Get on base here.
Richardson playing first base today batting 457 on the year as 49 RBI.
Pitch is swung on.
It's lifted back to left and it is gone.
Meghan Richardson with her fourth home run this season to tie the ballgame.
Wow.
How about that swing on the biggest stage.
You got to be kidding me.
Megan Richardson A big fly to tie it up.
I said they needed a hit.
How about a home run, RJ?
Yeah, and that was bell time.
She was able to lift the left field into the berm.
And we've got a tie ball game.
As Allie Sampson comes to the plate, the 50th RBI for Megan Richardson on the season.
Wow.
And a huge ovation.
Her teammates out to greater after that long ball.
She crushed it.
Let's go.
Sampson playing second base today hitting 356 on the season.
That's swung on and missed.
Well it kind of changes things for Samson.
The aggressiveness after a home run.
Huge shot there.
She was ready to go back to back.
Lacey rolls is the pitcher.
Is she'll miss inside.
It's one and one.
Showing bunt is going to foul on it.
Back takes the count to one and two.
McKenzie Hutchison, the catcher, is on deck.
Right here.
Going back to that home run boy.
Man, she just turned on it.
It was Bell High and she was able to able to deliver.
Well you know that rolls throws a lot of strikes.
If you can get Ahold of one Richardson did and she punished it.
Swung on and fouled back.
Keeps the count at one and two.
You know it's plays like that RJ.
That can change the complexion of a game, especially a state title game.
You just need a little bit of mojo.
Just something a little shot in the arm.
And Richardson gave a big one.
One ball two strikes.
Lacey Rawls delivers and what a battle by Allie Sampson right now by the way.
You know some of these Tuckerman kids have a lot of ties to Grubbs.
In fact some grandparents, they live just north of Grubbs and hold a lot of family ties all over in that area.
That's right.
Tight kit, tight knit community.
Here's a pitch.
It swung on and fouled back.
This is a spot with your hitter.
And Sampson hit the ball.
Looks like a beach ball.
You're seeing just about everything as a pitcher.
Sometimes you want to keep expanding the zone.
See if Sampson will go chase it because you don't want to make a mistake here.
It's two one.
And, you know, there's really nowhere in this Tuckerman lineup that there's really just a true weakness.
Is this one swung on and lifted out to behind second base.
And that'll be a base hit for Allie Sampson.
You knew she was really seeing it.
Well it was a matter of time.
That one found on the bottom part of the zone wasn't a bad pitch from Rawls.
Just a better piece of hitting for Sampson, the junior second baseman.
She's keeping the rally rolling.
So now you've got McKenzie Hutchinson, the catcher batting 361 on the season, has a runner at first base, no outs as we are in the bottom of the second inning.
Well, how things have flipped.
Woodlawn looked like they were a big time control.
Pitching was good, but this innings looked a whole lot different.
There's a throw down to second base that got her got a late jump that time as Samson, who had 13 stolen bases this year, was perfect on stolen bases, got thrown out right there.
You see the hose from Aniston right now on full display.
Take another look at this.
What an arm for the sophomore.
The tag.
Oh it was close, but she nicked on the right arm.
That's a big cut.
Stealing.
There's a pitch outside and that'll take the count to one and one.
Pitch misses.
Lone inside.
Two and one.
I mean, you're seeing a little bit of everything in this game, you know.
Woodlawn scores.
First they got a baserunner caught trying to go to third.
Tucker a home run ties things up there putting pressure.
Well, then what do you know.
Caught stealing.
Both of these teams have laying it all on the line.
Lacey Rawls delivers a nice curveball outside to take the count to two and two.
You know, arguably, that's her best pitch.
It just in terms of being able to throw it in any count.
If you can do that effectively, you're going to see a lot of success.
And that's what Rawls has done all year long.
Here's the pitch is chopped out to short.
Handled that time by two, and she'll throw it over for the second out.
That's a really good pitching job from Rawls there to go down low, get the swing over the top.
And then the defense going to work with took it a nice throw across to diamond.
So now Emma Davis the pitcher for Tucker is going to be at the plate batting 386 on the season.
And had to take the first lead of the ball game for Tuckerman.
That should be high.
Sally Poe is on deck.
She's the right fielder today.
There's a one that gets in the gap into left field, and Emma Davis is on with a single and will have just to shoot that through the sixth hole.
Nice piece of hitting for Emma Davis trying to help herself out a little bit.
She'll get ran for over at first with a courtesy runner.
That's Kinsley Wheeler coming on to run over at first.
You know, I talked about the pitchers for Woodlawn.
And you know, they roll with Lacey Rawls, Molly Shelby, Carson Chastain for Tuckerman.
They have gone with two pitchers all year.
It's Emma Davis and Megan Richardson.
No I mean that is that is their two that they've rolled with all season long.
One two punch.
In between those two they combined for 188 innings.
Here's a pitch that will miss low as they pose at the plate.
So that's a lot of experience between two pitchers.
It helps in moments like these pitches.
Slap foul.
Let's count to one and one.
Sally Poe is the eight hole hitter.
You know last year Tuckerman, they made it all the way to the semifinals and then lost to Hackett.
So talking with Coach Snowden kind of left a bad taste in their mouth after they thought they were going to be able to do it, as that pitch sails to the backstop.
And that'll advance Emma Davis to second base.
How big it is to have a two out single?
Because now with that wild pitch, a base hit to the outfield could very likely give the Bulldogs their first lead of the game.
Two balls, one strike pitch miss outside.
Now you got A31 count as Hailey Pope losing.
Theirs is right down Broadway to take the count at three and two.
You could tell Paul was trying to walk the count a little bit.
Didn't want to, you know, take the bat off the shoulders.
Now you're going to have two with A32 count.
Misses outside and she'll head down to first base.
And it's crazy how this game has shifted a little bit.
Certainly neither team's in control, but the way that rolls pitch in that first inning I mean, just mowed down the top of the lineup.
Well, what do you know first hitter of this inning Megan Richardson goes deep and she struggled a little bit labored since.
So now you got the 9 or 9 hole hitter and Emily Barnett at the plate.
The left fielder as she'll take a strike to start things off.
It's good approach from Rawls goes with that.
Off-speed out her half.
She locates at so so well two.
Pitch will miss outside.
Takes it down to one and one.
Well, you know, Tucker is in the same exact scenario that Woodlawn was in.
First and second with a nine hitter, a chance to put the bases loaded for the top of the lineup.
Tucker has got the same chance here with Emily Barnett.
And Lacey Rawls is going to deliver hits, swung on, lifted out to right center field.
That's going to bring around a runner.
And the slide the tag.
Did they get her out there saying she's safe.
Oh she missed the tag Emma Davis was able to go with a hook slide and get in for the score to take the lead.
Wow, what a play at the plate.
Could be one of the biggest plays of the game.
Davis gets around the tag.
Here's another look at that drive to right center.
How about that for Emily Barnett RBI single to throw home the tag.
Just missed her.
Yeah by inches RJ.
What a slide move from Davis.
So now back to the top of the lineup with Soden.
And she'll swing and miss.
How big was it with two outs to run it for Davis?
It started all this two out rally that advanced Sally Poe to second base.
By the way.
This is high and and tight.
That's what it takes.
So RJ we talked about executing timely hitting.
You got to have that in games like this.
Tuckerman nine hole hitter Barnett delivers in a big way.
Pitch is going to miss high.
So now you're at A21 count.
Leadoff person Maddox Soden at the plate.
And she'll miss down and out three and one.
Right now we're all struggling to find the strike zone a little bit.
And really, since she faced off against Sally Poe, that's one of the the strike zone issues became a problem.
And now it looks like they're going to have a meeting on the mound.
I think it's a great idea.
Just calm her down a little bit, Rosie.
She knows she's got good stuff.
You just got to trust it.
Moments like this, when you're rattled a little bit, give Tuckerman credit, they they've applied that pressure.
They've been aggressive when they needed to.
They've come up with some timely hitting.
All of this with two outs.
And really you go back to that home run for Richardson.
Let's say rolls gets her out.
Does she just continue to mow them down?
I wonder if that home run it had to have done something really rattled her.
Well, I mean you got to think that she's been your workhorse all year.
I mean, she's 17 and two on the year under a one E.R.A.
9.46 with 235 strikeouts.
Got them by far the most experience on the team.
And just trying to work through her right now.
Trust your stuff and moments like this.
Rawls is such a good pitcher.
You're right.
Trying to work out of this and keep the damage limited.
Three one account.
Runners are at first and second and she'll miss.
And now you've got bases loaded and you've got Bryson Wheeler coming to the plate.
Oh, man.
Perfect storm for Tuckerman here.
Bases juiced with the most powerful hitter on the team.
Your record-setting home run hitter.
As a matter of fact, this is a huge match up roll.
Stronger at the first time, mind you.
You know Wheeler's got revenge on her mind.
512 average on the season, eight home runs, 64 RBI.
She'll bat from the right side with bases loaded that swung on and fouled back.
Such a good first pitch.
That's what she's leaned on.
Rolls with that curveball.
Moving outer half.
That's what you're going to need.
You got to get ahead and counts like this.
There's no place to put Wheeler, and you don't want any more runs to come across.
You're going to have to attack.
Some.
Good.
Here's the oh one misses outside runners on their way.
They throw in.
She gets under the tag.
So, Poe, she comes in to score.
And that takes the lead to 3 to 1.
Oh, no.
They're all seems to be banged up a little bit on that slide and play at the plate.
And I certainly hope that she's okay.
Gets up on her own power.
That's great to see.
But man the wild pitch costly Tuckerman takes advantage are still not done in the inning.
Here's a look at that.
Just goes up and away.
Nothing that the catcher right can do.
Here's that play close just underneath the tag.
And it kind of rolled up underneath Lacey rolls was Jaylee Paul.
But that's great baserunning great jump from third to slide in.
Preston Wheeler is the batter.
She's got a one and one down there.
Just going to check on Lacey Rawls to make sure that she's make sure she's all good.
But I wouldn't be shocked if they let her throw a pitch or two just to make sure she's good.
But look like they go to the may have rolled up on that ankle.
You see her favoring that ankle a little bit.
Oh my gosh.
What Tucker means one big swing away really put an exclamation mark on the inning.
Rawls wants to limit that.
Runners are at second and third.
So at second Barnett's at third.
Here's a pitch by Wheeler back into the net.
Takes the count to one and two.
Well, that's a good pitch, but man, Wheeler was all over it.
Fouls it straight back at the tough one to hang on two.
You're in the driver's seat if you're rolls, but you certainly can't be too careful.
One two is on the way.
Whoa.
When I left her hand, Brunner thought about coming, but decided otherwise.
Yeah.
Takes a count to two and two.
Now.
Once again, really good baserunning.
Barnett hangs tied at third.
That's not the one you wanted to come home on.
The one Paul came on at work, but that one bounced straight back.
She would have been caught dead to rights if she tries to come home.
So two balls, two strikes.
Lacey Rawls trying to get out of the inning.
Pitch is swung on, it's lifted to left field and it's off the glove of the left fielder.
Simmons.
That'll bring in some runs right here.
As Wheeler's going to get to second base.
She'll clear the bags.
Two run double for Briston Wheeler RBI number 67 and 63 a tank to left center.
Long run for Simmons.
Tough break.
Couldn't haul it in.
And that's what you get when you got A21 hit or Wheeler banging it to the left centerfield gap.
You know I'll be interested to see if they ruled out an error or if it's a base hit, because she had a range for that one.
Yeah.
I'm going to go on a hunch and say that's got to be a hit, right?
The way she's having a full extend there, not a routine play.
And that might do it for Lacey Rawls.
We'll leave it is it looks like they're they're going to bring in a new pitcher in to to throw.
Why she warms up.
We'll take a break.

Oh is it shop?
Back here at Majestic Park, the new pitcher is Molly Shelby.
Shelby's throwing 52 innings this year, so she's second most behind rolls.
Got good numbers though with 2.28 90 strikeouts and only 17 earned runs given up.
5 to 1 our score as Tuckerman has scored all five all five runs this inning.
Let's go ahead six.
So now at the plate, you've got Josie Branch.
This will be the ninth batter of the inning.
Their.
First pitch is going to miss high.
And that will advance Wheeler over to third base.
Well, certainly Tucker has brought the bats and that is helped.
But a few of the wild pitches have not helped in Woodlawn case.
Here it's giving baserunners extra bases.
It's a lot of run to come in.
And then obviously that big swing from Wheeler cleared the bases.
They've got a chance to do more damage.
Shelby's going to try to shut the door.
Pitch is going to be high and inside to take the count to two and zero.
There's a strike now is going.
Say it was outside.
It's three zero, maybe a little too tall.
Also just above that zone.
And boy, the hitter who started all this is Megan Richardson.
Little did she know she might get a chance to bat again in the inning.
Three balls, no strikes.
And that's going to be a base on balls.
And so now you've got runners on the corners.
And back to Megan Richardson, who started this whole thing off.
Certainly did.
Rawls was dealing both through the lineup at the top or the bottom of the first, but then Megan Richardson had something to say about it.
She gets her second chance to bat in the inning with ducks on the pond.
First and third.
She had a home run to start the inning.
Balls in as high, an outside runner goes, but they don't throw.
So that'll send Jose Branch to second base.
That's five straight pitches from Molly Shelby.
Also, she's not found the strike zone yet.
You don't want to groove anything to Richardson.
You've already seen what she can do.
Pitch is going to be outside.
Takes the count to Tuno as she.
She's not even throwing a strike yet.
Six straight.
She's missing up a good bit.
Little out also, but she's nibbling.
Not a bad idea, but at some point you're going to have to attack somebody.
Two balls, no strikes.
There's a swing and a miss.
It's a good challenge.
Pitch.
Richardson couldn't catch up.
Shelby's got some great velo.
That one was a little bit closer near the middle part of the zone, maybe on the outer half.
So not quite a hitter's pitch.
How about your second batter?
You got a face.
You got a face, Richardson.
Not ideal pitch is Swann and fouled back.
And it's two and two.
Well the one thing that Shelby's got going for big time is the heater I that's a low part of the zone Richardson twice now that she's not been able to catch up with.
Timing's everything.
You got to make sure you don't groove something.
Here you go.
Three straight to Richardson.
My guess is she'll catch up to the third one.
Two.
Two's the count.
And that's going to be a strike out.
And that will be the third out of the inning.
But what an impressive inning that time for Tuckerman as they batted nine batters and actually ten batters scored five runs.
And we head to the top of the third inning where Tuckerman they lead at 5 to 1.

Hey, here's some trivia for you.
Who holds the Arkansas high school record for most stolen bases in a career?
J.B.
boy.
That's a good one.
Well, I'll get you the answer here in a little bit.
Well, good.
I figured you would.
Is it player or team?
No.
It's, it's a player, and it's actually fairly recent.
I say fairly.
It was it within the last ten years.
Okay.
So back to action as woodlands back at the play.
They're going to have to up the top of the order Jesse Hoyt Kendall Tuck and Lacy rolls.
And Hoyt is going to take a ball.
You've dug a hole a little bit.
If you're Woodlawn, you got to start chipping away against a good pitcher.
And Davis, who's got all kinds of confidence right now.
Pitch is going to be swung on and fouled out of play down the right field side.
Evens and count at one.
And one.
Richardson tied things up with that home run.
But Davis with two outs got that two out rally that led to four more runs.
He was a huge catalyst to help herself out pitching with the leads.
Always big in games like this.
One one misses low.
Boy, things change too.
Coach, you talked about them being aggressive at the plate.
You shift a little bit.
Now you can't be too aggressive knowing that Davis is not going to be able to groove anything you want to be.
Work that count a little bit.
So two one hitters count.
You love to see that for the top of the lineup.
Don't miss outside.
And now you got A31 count.
It's exactly what you expect from the top of the lineup.
And we already talked about her numbers.
One of the most powerful hitters from the top of the lineup for 66 average, seven home runs.
That's unheard of.
That's going to miss outside.
And it's a leadoff walk to Jake Hoyt.
So now the two hitter and Kendall Dukes at the plate got a single back to left field in the first inning.
Later was thrown out at second base.
Yeah.
What could have been that ain't got one run, but kind of ran themselves out of it with a base running miscue.
That's fouled back.
Oh.
Son is out here at Majestic Park.
It is just a dandy of a day.
Sure is.
Pretty.
Oh, one is the count as Emma Davis going to deliver.
This is low.
You know, I like the sequencing from Davis.
She's living low in the zone.
That's what you want to do.
You don't want allow Woodlawn to get a two run home run of any kind.
Don't want to do damage.
If they do it, let them.
Let them attack low in the zone.
Your success is a lot better.
Pitch is going to miss high that time.
Takes the count to two and one.
Let's first two hitters of this inning.
It worked.
Hitters count.
That's what you get from that top of the lineup.
And Woodlawn they're not going to lay down.
They've got some legit offense.
Two one is hit to right field for a base hit.
That'll advance the runner to third base as Stokes got her second base hit of the ball game.
She went left field the first time.
Went to right field that time.
And now with no outs here in the third, Woodlawn got runners at the corners as Lacey Rawls comes to the plate.
Man, that was a great piece of hitting.
Absolutely hammered by Duke into that right field corner.
Big chance for Woodlawn to get something back here in the inning.
Lacey Rawls grounded out to short back in the first.
She'll hammer this one to second this time looking for the double play.
And they get it.
They went with the four six story double play to get two outs in the inning.
Man, that ball was hammered right on the screws.
But Samson to sewed into Richardson for the double play.
She hit it hard hammers it up.
But a great defensive play for Tucker.
And it worked out perfectly for the Bulldogs.
They'll take that trade all day long.
And Woodlawn did get a get a run as Jake Hoyt came in to score.
So you've got two outs and now Molly Shelby at the plate.
She'll foul that back.
Let's go see what's the tough part of the game.
Right.
You can hit the ball on the screws, but if you hit it right at someb What a gift for Davis.
That's huge for Tucker.
Got there.
Here's the oh one.
This is low.
It's the reason they call it pitcher's best friend.
Right?
Yeah.
I mean, he had first and third nobody out.
Chance to keep things right.
The second.
First in the third inning.
They've just not been able to get that big inning together.
One one popped up out of play.
Thanks to count to one and two.
Well, this is the last game of the, I guess, the morning session.
Don't forget tonight, starting at 4:00, you get three a baseball, Harmony Grove and Ashdown, and then at 7:00 you got three a softball Harding Academy in DeWitt.
Pitch will miss high.
Evens the count up.
Oh.
Shelby grounded out to third base back in the first inning.
She's in to pitch for rolls in the game now, so would love to help herself out.
That swung on a little roller to second.
Gathers it up that time by Samson.
And that will do it for the third inning.
So Woodlawn scores one run in the inning off of one base hit.
We head to the bottom of the third inning, where Tuckerman leads 5 to 2 in the softball championship.

Back here at Majestic Park and the answer to the question who holds the Arkansas high school record for most stolen bases in a career?
JB.
My guess was going to be Sidney Parr, but, it's not that it's not Sidney.
No.
It is Hannah Baucus from Pangborn.
Back in 2013 through 2006, team had 187 in a career.
How about that?
That's, that's some legit speed.
Ali Simpson's at the plate and she'll foul that one back.
Yeah.
Penguins a good softball school, too.
They've been quite a bit of success.
Here.
This is how it goes.
One and one.
You're way up there.
You're gonna have to protect the plate here as a hitter, Shelby would love to get a big out here to start this third inning after team got a run back that is swung on and lifted on the infield.
A little collision right there.
First baseman took a hard hit that time as Carson Chastain ran into Michaud.
She'll pop up and and got the out.
Yeah.
Wow.
Big time collision.
You're right.
But how about that athleticism to hang on to it by Michaud.
You're going to see her get up on her own power.
But man what a play at six a lot of athleticism by the way.
Our guy Kyle Sutherland who is is watching today's broadcast.
He said hold up boys.
You know he's a trivia nerd, right?
Like he does this stuff.
He says, actually, Skyler Sterritt actually broke that record this year with 188 stolen bases.
As this is swung on and over to third base on the five three put out of Hutchinson by Emma Davis up next.
But of course.
By the way, Kyle has been he has done a lot with softball in the state of Arkansas and, and keeps up with, with everything going on in the softball world.
But I love that.
I look down and he's like, hey bud, that actually got broke this year.
Haha.
My man Kyle.
Hey, he, he's softball guru, right?
Hey, he has a tendency to keep up with softball world is that we're missing out.
Sorry.
Actually, it's called a strike on the outside.
Hand.
She's from Sheridan, by the way.
It's good.
Softball school also.
Pitches will miss outside.
Yeah, that.
You know, they had a heck of a game with Benton in the semis to for Benton to make it.
You know Ben will be in the six a finals and five I believe.
Yeah.
Or five and and Sheridan and Benton had a great game as that song and missed.
So it's one ball two strikes to him and Davis as there's two outs here in the inning.
Yep yep that's right down Broadway for a called third strike.
And Molly Shelby sets him down 1 to 3 here in the third.
We head to the top of the fourth inning where Tuckerman leads at 5 to 2.
And you're watching the Centennial Bank state softball Championships on Arkansas TV sports.
This is a bit of an odd one.
The offender had to smuggle in an antique execution device.

Which suggests that the victim seemed the position willingly.

Back to action.
As woodlands at the plate.
They'll send their five, six, seven hitters up as first pitch will miss low to Addison Holland.
Holland, Chastain and Michaud.
The three two up this inning as Emma Davis still on the mound.
Here's one that swung on and lifted out to the shortstop.
And that time it's Maddox Soden who came in to make the catch for the first down.
Nice job from Davis.
She's been able to really limit things.
She scattered some hits, only giving up the two runs, but she's been able to avoid the big innings and that's something that Woodlawn would love to take advantage of.
Carson Chastain now flied to left field back in the second inning to pitch Ole Miss low.
If you're Woodlawn, you know we've talked about it just being able to continue applying pressure against Davis.
Scratch over for runner two.
If you can just start chipping away at time misses inside to go two and zero.
But how big Shelby's been out of the pin for Woodlawn.
Really giving them a chance.
Oh, there's a called strike that was at the letters for the first strike to Carson Chastain.
You know, Emma Davis for Tuckerman.
She came in 16 and five on the season.
Had it got a little bit of trouble there early on, but it's really settled in nicely as this game game's going on, no doubt.
I mean, you got that double play, two double plays really.
One was the four, six, three and then the one, the baserunning deal.
Those have been monumental for Davis.
There's one that's left it out to left field.
That'll be a base hit for Carson Chastain.
Absolutely rips that one to left center field.
She was all over it.
Pull side drills it over.
The shortstop said.
Now Kaylee Michaux, the second baseman, is up batting 312 on the season, had a base hit to center field back in the second inning.
White hot right here.
Stay hot.
Pitch misses outside with the curveball.
First pitch.
Got Davis at 50 pitches.
Now she's been efficient.
There's one down the third base line gets past the third baseman.
And another base hit for Woodlawn.
They'll have runners at second and third.
Well, you know you're going to have to be aggressive offensively.
Woodlawn has taken advantage a couple of base hits with one out.
This one riding down the third base line a two bagger.
And Woodlawn is in business in the fourth.
Addison Wright the eight hole hitters coming up next.
She walked back in the second inning.
Now you've got ducks on the pond with runners at second and third.
How about a state championship game for Michaud?
Two for two today.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Michaud having a great day.
Came in batting 312 on the season.
But really showing up here in the state finals.
Right at the plate.
That one's fouled out of play.
Quickly takes the count to.
Oh and two every time Davis has ran into some trouble she's been able it seems like to bounce back get the outs that she needs.
She doesn't have the out here yet, but she's ahead zero two and a really nice job attacking.
Emma Davis.
They set up outside.
She threw it right there to take the count to one and two.
Boy Anderson right.
Trying to come up.
Clutch is a sophomore.
She had a really good at bat her first time through.
Just trying to find a way to battle and get on or drive in a run here.
On two misses.
Low and inside.
Evens the count at two and two.
But she led that in her first at bat.
Just some really good takes for a sophomore.
She's doing it here in this bat too.
That's a pitcher's pitch all the way.
A lot of hitters swing and miss.
No.
Two two swung on lifted to center field and it's down for a base here.
One one's going to score.
An RBI single for the sophomore catcher Aniston Wright.
Big time on the bloop single to center field.
Just a great job getting off the end of the bat.
Runner was off a second.
She knew it was going to drop.
It is 5 to 3 now.
We got a ballgame.
So now the nine hole hitter and Melissa Simmons will come up.
Simmons struck out back in the second inning.
Runners at first and third.
Now meeting of the mound just to kind of calm down Emma Davis.
Both these two teams man they they have been battle tested all year.
We talked about it 27 and six for Woodlawn on the season.
Tuckerman 27 and nine.
And you know when you talked to Coach Hewitt for for Woodlawn, he said, look people cannot us out early on in this one we lost from last year's team.
We lost our catcher.
We lost one of the best pitchers in the state.
We lost the third baseman.
We lost our center fielder.
You lose a lot of those key positions and they're thinking, okay, it's maybe a down year for Woodlawn and it's been anything but.
Yeah, no doubt.
I mean, it speaks to the resiliency of your players, but also as a coach, I mean, and even in the game here right down five one you could lay down.
They've continued to apply pressure, aggressiveness at the plate and then bring the Go-Ahead run to the plate.
Now last year this Woodlawn team went 32 and five last year.
And you know talking to Coach Hewitt, he said, you know, this is probably been one of the most fun teams I've coached.
There I've been fun to watch, that's for sure.
Now Simmons is going to be at the plate.
The nine hole hitter ball ball's going to miss outside.
Monroe advanced to second base with a no throw.
Now a big opportunity because the base of the outfield is got a chance to tie things up.
And.
I don't miss outside.
Oh boy.
And he got the top of the lineup looming.
One of the best leadoff hitters in the state.
And Jacey Hoyt, you know she'd love a crack with the bases loaded.
Oh oh.
Two oh pitch misses outside takes it to three, and oh, well, you know, Davis has been nibbling.
She's trying not to come over the heart of the plate cause Simmons is not a bad nine hole hitter, either.
As a sophomore, we already talked about that.
But man, now three.
And oh, you don't want to face Hoyt with the bases juiced either.
It'll have to be a perfect pitch for it to swing as she it'll be called a strike.
So it's three and one here in now going to be a similar approach for a nine hole hitter.
It's got to be your pitch three one.
You're not extending expanding the zone.
It's got to be middle in wherever your pitch is.
That's the only thing you're swinging at.
She swung at it right there.
And now you've got four at three and two.
It's a good pitch from Davis.
Kind of goes a little bit up and out, a little bit of movement to Simmons.
Slightly fooled on it.
Huge pitch in this game up coming right here.
One out in the inning.
Runners at second and third.
Full count to Mellie Simmons.
And it's going to be a strike.
Has it caught the outside corner of the plate.
Wow.
What a pitch from Davis.
Off speed down and out.
Moving away from the left handed hitter.
Huge huge out.
So now you've got two outs.
And back to the top with Jaycee Hoyt.
Yeah.
Pitch miss low and outside.
Know for Marley Simmons she's worked the count both times.
She's been up back to back looking strikeouts.
One oh pitch by Emma Davis.
Changeup in there for strike.
It's one and one.
We've already mentioned it Davis has given up a run in this inning.
She gave up a run in the third.
And also in the first she's been able to limit the damage.
She's ran into some problems, but she's worked out of it.
She's trying to do the same here in the fourth against her really good hitter.
One one misses low and away.
But you got to think you can only play with danger so much before it ends up coming back to bite you.
Woodlawn.
Just looking for that one big hit in the game.
Two balls, one strike.
Runners at second and third and will miss inside.
Takes it to three and one.
Now first base is open so you don't have to come in here.
The problem is you got Kendall Tuck who's two for two and she's hit the ball very well.
So pick your poison here.
Three.
One's on the way.
Miss is outside.
Oh, that's the second walk of the day for Jaycee Hoyt.
And so now Kendall Dukes at the plate at a single to left field.
Back in the first, a single to right field in the third.
She comes up with the bases loaded on the season.
Hits 396 with three home runs and 27 RBI.
That pitch is going to miss lone away.
Really big first pitch there.
Get ahead in the count as a hitter.
One and zero coach you hit on your screen.
You can tell he's trying to pump her up.
Wait for your pitch, drive it.
Davis.
No place to put her now.
Got to attack.
Here's the one.
Oh, yeah.
Going to miss on that to take it to two and.
Oh has come tell you right here.
Emma Davis with the two.
Oh I don't miss inside to take it to three.
And oh.
We go.
Well it doesn't matter what kind of hitter you are right now.
The way Davis has missed on three.
Oh, you're taken all the way.
Doesn't matter where it is.
Okay.
Three.
Oh.
Pitch misses high.
It's a four pitch walk.
And that'll bring in Michaux to score.
That'll send right to third base.
That'll put Hoyt at second and Dukes at first.
Some really big at bats from the one and two hitters.
Hoyt walking and in two can might do it for Davis potentially.
Yeah.
It looks like we'll have a pitching change.
And as they take a break we will as well.

Welcome back to Majestic Park JB Brazil alongside RJ Hawk.
Glad you're with us here for the two day softball state championship.
It's been Emma Davis and Meghan Richardson all season long.
The one two punch for the Bulldogs.
It'll be Megan Richardson getting her chance to shine.
She's already hit a home run in the game that tied things up back in the second a five run second inning for Tuckerman.
She comes into pitch now in quite the jam.
Bases loaded.
Two outs for Woodlawn and Lacey Rawls, the starting pitcher for the bears.
We'll get a chance for some redemption with the bases loaded and two outs.
Rawls standing in from the right side.
She's over two to deck.
Megan Richardson would love to shut the door in the top of the fourth.
First one.
Heater stays high.
Nice job by the catcher in Mackenzie Hutchinson to keep that one from getting away.
One ball, no strikes to Lacy.
Rolls.
Rolls at the plate.
Has the one.
Oh.
Pitch swung on and it's on the first base side.
And they'll get the out right there.
So for Woodlawn in the inning they score a couple of runs to take it to 5 to 4.
As you're watching the Centennial Bank state baseball and softball championships on Arkansas TV sports.

Back here at Majestic Park, where we are.
We've got a ball game right now here in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Five two for our score.
Tuckerman had a big second inning when they scored five runs in the second inning.
But then Woodlawn has just been chipping away.
They scored one in the first, one in the third, two in the fourth.
And that's how we've gotten to our 5 to 4 score.
And for Tuckerman, they've got the 891 hitters due up in the pool.
Emily Barnett and Maddox Snowden pull back in the second inning walks and then later came around to score.
And she'll be up first.
Molly Shelby on the mound for Woodlawn as first pitch is fouled away.
So both teams have gone to their bullpen.
Now they're second arms.
And it's going to come down to that.
You knew both teams are going to score runs, but who can whether the storm who can get over that hump and get to that finish line.
And not only is it their second arms, it's the the second starting pitcher that they've had.
You know that they usually roll with both teams got great arms.
You're right.
Here's a bunt right back at Shelby.
She'll throw it to first.
But it was dropped in the air.
It's an error on the first baseman.
And Sosa is going to be on.
That's a tough play.
Chastain just unable to handle it just kind of pops out the back side.
That is a tough break and a leadoff hitter aboard.
So now Emily Barnett is at the plate.
She had a base hit to right field back in the second inning.
So first pitch tours called strike ball.
I tell you though RJ, that's what they always tell you.
Put the ball in play.
Good things happen.
Paul getting that bunt down her speed may have caused a little bit of issues there, knowing they had to get it there quickly and Chastain just couldn't hold on to it.
So Tucker got a chance for a rally.
Oh, one's going to miss outside evens account at one and one.
Back to the top of the lineup we go after.
This batter has Maddox Soden sitting on deck.
One one fouled out of play.
Tucker really hasn't done anything since that second inning.
Just that one big inning.
They were mowed down in the first little bit of action in the third, but they'd love to get some runs back here in the fourth.
And add to that one run lead one two pitch that's swung on and missed.
And that'll be a strike out for the first out here in the fourth as straight fill from Molly Shelby man oh man.
Just drops it off the table.
Good luck to any hitter a big time strikeout for the first out of the inning.
So Maddox Soden the leadoff hitters at the plate.
She struck out in the first and walked in the second inning.
Pitch is going to miss outside for A10 count.
There.
Big moment here for the coach's daughter.
She comes from greatness at pitch is going to miss outside to take the count to two.
And them just had a plethora of underclassmen that have really shined.
I mean a sophomore batting leadoff for Tuckerman been a mainstay in that lineup, but a great defensive player, too.
Don't sleep on her defense.
A runner at first base is Haley Poe.
Here's the two.
Oh, handle, miss.
They called it a strike.
He did.
So it's two and one.
It's a big pitch there from Shelby.
Borderline goes the pitchers.
White need those in games like this.
Molly Shelby with the two one.
I don't mess up high and takes it to three and one.
Here can sometimes be the problem of facing that top of the lineup.
They don't really expand the zone much.
They make you come into them.
One.
It's like Shelby wants a rosin bag.
She's used up quite a bit, ran out of juice.
Here's A31 pitch.
And it's a walk.
So that'll take Poe to second base and a put so down at first base with the second walk in the ballgame for her.
But we've already seen what happens when you face Briston Wheeler with runners aboard.
You're just playing with danger.
And Wheeler's already made you pay once.
So Wheeler had the two RBI is back in the second inning when she hit the double to.
Left center field.
That was fouled back.
I think she found it back into our mike.
It seemed at least made her make some noise.
There was a mic somewhere in ballpark.
There.
Wheeler's going.
Mike hunting.
Oh, one that is fouled back.
Let's go now.
It's oh two.
Nice job from Shelby to get ahead of a hitter like this.
It's happened before.
Wheeler has already come through.
You can't ever counter out.
But I like that raising the eye level a little bit Shelby getting ahead.
Oh, and two on a really good hitter.
Bryson Wheeler came into the ballgame batting 512 with eight home runs.
That swung on lifted out to center field.
There's the out.
Runners aren't going to be able to advance off that.
After Jayce Hoyt makes the catch in center field.
The ball was hit hard but a nice job from Jake Hoyt.
She got on her horse.
Got a great read on.
It keeps everybody at first and second.
Now now Josie Branch is going to come up.
Branch walk back in the second inning later got a stolen base and then she flied out to the shortstop back in the first.
Down.
At Swann.
Lifted out to center field.
And it's going to get down for a base hit.
One run is going to come in and score.
That's Sally Poe who came in to score.
And that will extend the Tuckerman lead 6 to 4.
Big time RBI single for Josie Branch.
The sophomore delivers to give the Bulldogs a six.
Four point play was a lot closer than it may have seemed.
It kicks away from the catcher, right.
So that's what allowed the runner both of them to move up.
And boy oh boy, here comes Megan Richardson.
Got off the back foot.
So Richardson's at the plate batting 457 on the season.
Had the home run back in the second inning.
Runners are at second and third.
Ball misses high.
Tack remains one big swing away from just pushing that lead right back where it was.
That's swung on out to right field.
It's caught by the right fielder.
Is down for a base hit.
Excuse me.
And two runs are going to score.
Coming in the score was Branch and Soden.
What a day Megan Richardson's having an old man.
Just pile it up.
The RBI in the game.
That matters most.
How bout it for the junior going opposite field, a laser line drive and a two run single for the first baseman, now pitcher for the Bulldogs Megan Richardson with four RBI on the day.
She's making a case on why she needs to be the MVP of this ballgame.
No doubt on a team that's only got one senior, the starting lineup, that's Emily Barnett.
Everyone else, either sophomores or juniors.
Allie Samson at the plate now at swung on out to third or short.
Excuse me.
And she'll throw it across for the six three put out.
But not until Tuckerman scores three runs in the inning off of two base hits.
We head to the top of the fifth inning, where Tuckerman leads it 8 to 4.

Well, we head to the fifth inning now where Molly Shelby from Woodlawn.
She'll be due up.
She's the four hole hitter.
It'll be Shelby Holland and Chastain, the four five, six hitters for Woodlawn as they trail 8 to 4 in this one.
As pitch Ole Miss outside Megan Richardson, the pitcher in right now for.
Tuckerman.
She done a nice job after they finally got to Emma Davis.
They get two balls, no strikes.
Molly Shelby oh for two on the day.
Two ground outs.
I don't miss inside to take it to three.
And oh we've already talked about the appearances Tucker two zero and state championship games.
They've won back to back titles in 21 and 22.
And then Woodlawn is only appearance back in oh two.
Fell just a little bit short.
Three oh pitch and miss missing signs.
The leadoff walk that.
Now Addison Holland is going to come to the plate.
She's zero for two on the day with two fly outs, one to the shortstop, one out to center field.
Now.
No.
No.
There's a called strike to get ahead in the count at all.
In one.
Nice job to find the zone after that four pitch walk for Richardson.
Oh, one's going to miss inside.
Carson Chastain, the Henderson State signees on deck.
It's been the crooked numbers for tournament five.
Run to the second.
Three in the fourth.
They've had those big innings and that's been the difference.
That's a called strike that caught the outside part of the plate to take it to one and two.
The good news for Woodlawn is they've had base runners on in every inning.
They've just sprinkled in a run here or there.
They've not had that big inning, but they've had runners on.
They've just left a lot on.
Also Here's the one two pitch that's swung on and fouled back.
It's hard for me to believe that Molly Shelby, a pitcher and runner over at first, is just freshman I know right when she's pitching and just playing the game, there's a pitch.
It's swung on and it's caught in center field.
No one hit.
It's a nice job from Jose Branch out there in center.
Great read.
Great jump.
Able to track it down it ball that loose quickly.
It looks like it might drop in for a single but Jose Branch tracked it all the way.
So Carson Chastain's at the plate now.
She's one for two on the day.
Had a single to left field back in the fourth inning.
This is an outside.
One out runner at first base.
Runner at first is Molly Shelby.
That's going to miss outside as well.
Tuno.
And you got to think I mean my daughter does it, but with some of these girls they've been playing since they were eight years old traveling around the state.
For so when you when you say they're a freshman, I mean, they've probably played him three times as many games.
What you think for most freshmen.
That's right.
You know back in the day maybe is that runners going to advance on the wild pitch.
Well there's a good chance two would travel ball.
The a lot of these players are playing against each other and playing with each other.
At some point.
You know they've seen each other a lot.
You know, I was telling the folks from the triple AA that this is like a home away from home for me because my daughter plays the travel ball circuit and we're down here quite a bit as that pitch.
Ole Miss high.
I know you used to be the Diamondbacks.
I don't know if you still are.
We still are.
Yeah.
Still so got the Diamondbacks rocking.
We actually playing Conway this weekend.
All right.
My neck of the woods.
Yeah we're well Memorial day tournament up and up.
And Conway.
Three balls, no strikes.
Here's the pitch.
And that'll be called a strike on the outside corner of the plate.
Boy, it has been a good year of high school athletics.
I mean, think about when we were.
It just seems like yesterday we were doing the football championships over Memorial Stadium.
They fly by, don't they?
Volleyball state championships in bank.
Okay.
And then basketball.
Here's three one.
And.
I said it's okay.
It's going to be a walk.
She can she didn't know if the the chick swing was going to get appealed.
And so it's a walk.
And now that'll bring up Kaylee Michaud.
That's big because now you got first and second.
How many times has Woodlawn had two runners aboard in an inning?
Yeah.
Look it's been every hitting at least.
So here's the deal.
Coach only gave me two two pitchers.
So I don't know if Richardson gets in trouble.
Who they go to after that.
You might go back to David.
I mean you could.
That would be my guess.
That was oh 00101I think it's go right here.
Counts one zero.
Richardson delivers.
Yeah.
Miss that high and it's now two zero.
Here's the two.
Oh swung on chopped out to second base.
Throws the first for the out.
That'll advance the runners.
So that'll put Shelby at third and Chastain at second base.
But now you've got two outs.
Yeah I mean not completely the most unproductive at bat naturally, but that's a trade that Tuckerman will take.
They'll take the out in that scenario.
So now Anderson writes at the plate, the catcher, she had a single to center field, an RBI single to center field back in the fourth.
And then she walked back in the second inning.
Gotta be there now.
Two outs here in the fifth inning.
Swung at that.
Now that quickly goes to oh and two.
Just couldn't catch up to the heater from Richardson.
That was some legit velo.
Just blows it right past her.
Yeah yeah.
No balls.
Two strikes and she's swinging.
Miss struck her out.
So Woodlawn they sent five batters to the plate.
Scored no runs left.
Two runners on.
We head to the bottom of the fifth inning, where Tuckerman leads 8 to 4.
And you're watching the Centennial Bank state softball championships on Arkansas TV sports.

Well, our Arkansas the TV student all star is Lacie Rose called her name a couple times as she's the senior pitcher with a 3.8 GPA, plans to attend college, and, Lacey Rose is the all star.
And boy, she had a pretty she had a really good outing to start the ball game.
And, you know, like anything a state championship.
Got a little bit of trouble and got out of the ball game.
So we're back to action now as we're here in the fifth inning.
And regardless of what happens in these games, it doesn't take away from the season that you've had.
Yeah.
You know and Rawls has had such an incredible season Tucker been able to get some offense going against her.
And you saw the same thing with Davis the starting pitcher for Tucker.
And both of these offenses are that good.
And they've been able to chase the starter.
Here's a swing on pitch that was fouled back and quickly.
Oh and two to McKenzie Hutchinson.
Oh more so it's Hutchison Davis Poe for Tuckerman here in the fifth.
The 678 hitters Hutchinson oh for two on the day.
Hall is going to miss outside you guys guys let's go right here.
One two outside misses again.
And it's now two and two.
That one didn't miss by much.
It's a good pitcher's pitch but just a hair off the plate.
Really nice take.
Perhaps too close to take but still a really disciplined on.
Here's A22 swung on roll to second throws from her knees.
That's Michaux.
And for the first out that's a tough play.
That ball hit slowly.
That right side.
Nice job from Hutchinson.
She gets on her horse but it's Michelle with a nice defensive gem.
Able to stop and get up.
Fired A first for the out.
So now Emma Davis comes to the plate.
Had a base hit back in the second inning to left field and struck out in the third.
On top of her.
First pitch is swung on and missed.
Big cut that time.
Sure was.
Davis was trying to send another one out of the yard for Tuckerman, but that was again great Velo from Shelby, the freshman.
She's got a bright future.
Oh, one's the count.
And here comes with a change of that.
Time to go.
Oh and two this job getting a hat.
And you know Davis just a sophomore.
Much could be said the same for her two both really talented young athletes.
No balls two strikes.
That one's popped up.
Oh foul.
Out of play when I go up against the net.
Keeps the count.
Oh, and two, this tribe from Anniston.
Right, to give chase.
Just not quite able to haul it in front of that.
So new life for Emma Davis.
You know we talk about all the young talent.
You know Davis Shelby.
You got to imagine them and a handful of other players.
Young athletes get a chance to play at the next level.
And we're going to see that all weekend long swing and a miss.
And it's a strikeout.
Second strike out in the Emma Davis has had today and now safely pose at the plate.
It's just a really good stuff for Molly Shelby.
It's a great velo says hey see if you can catch up to this.
And Davis couldn't.
But again, talking to all this talent, you got to go and attribute a lot to the success you have upon the hill at Arkansas.
The softball program UK has got a great softball program.
The growth of the sport is immense in the state and you love to see it.
I mean, you got your daughter playing travel ball.
Yeah, the highest level.
Yeah.
No, it's, softball is.
And really it's not just in Arkansas.
It's across the country.
I mean, no doubt.
Look at the, the college softball World Series.
So the number of eyeballs that thing gets every year certainly taken off.
Love to see it for women's sports.
One ball, one strike to Bailey Poe.
And one is fouled out of play.
Takes it to one and two.
I've been impressed with Poe at the plate.
I mean, she got that reached on an error on that bunt.
She had a good baserunning play from third base after the wild pitch.
Great job.
She battles at the plate.
Just kind of a pesky hitter all around.
Great player to have in your lineup.
Just a sophomore to another young, talented athlete.
Here's one two that swung on, lifted out to center field for a base hit.
How about it for Powell.
She's doing a little bit of everything.
Smiles all around.
Well-deserved for Poe a base knock in the state championship game one she's going to remember for a long time.
So now the nine hole hitter Emily Barnett's at the plane, one for two on the day with a strikeout and a base hit to right field.
Back in the second inning.
We ought to be low runners going to advance.
Out in the away.
Here's a pitch run down Broadway, and that'll take the count to one and one.
Nice job from Shelby to try to attack the nine hole hitter.
Barnett can really flip things over.
The only senior in the lineup for Tucker in two.
Batting out of that nine spot.
One one's fouled back to the net.
If you're Shelby, you don't want to face the top of the lineup in this inning.
You want to get them out.
You've only got six outs with which to work as a team.
Down four.
You want to keep it that way.
Your best chances to not face the top of the lineup in this inning.
Here's the one two up high.
So the counts for two balls, two strikes.
You pitch four out to first going, or any third will win by both players.
One will be safe, and that'll bring in a run to score.
How about that pitch to hitting nine.
Oh hitter Barnett coming through again just kind of pokes into that right side.
First baseman overruns at second baseman can't get there.
Just finds a spot.
Pull comes in the school rolls over the top.
First baseman Chastain overruns it.
Second baseman's going to cover first.
She's not there to make a play.
Good things happen when you put the ball in play.
RJ here exactly right now.
Tuckerman goes back to the top on up with Maddox Soden.
Soden has walked twice today.
Had a strikeout back in the first.
And she goes back.
Up.
It's been a long way to start off to Maddox so.
First and Wheeler sits on deck for Tuckerman.
One zero is swung on and fouled back there.
We've already talked about it, but three sophomores at the top of the lineup, only one senior in the lineup.
It's got a really good chance to be back here next year with so much offense from so many youngsters.
Allen swung on left to the left center field.
That'll be him for a base hit.
That'll score a run.
And rounding second heading into third is Maddox Soden.
Well how about that little two out triple for the top of the lineup.
It's why you don't want to face them in the inning.
So did tattoos that one to left center field.
That's so pop.
And going opposite field bangs off the wall.
Soden speed able to leg it out for a two out triple and two wins.
I got blood in the water.
There's they could smell it.
They're trying to add to it.
So Bryson Wheeler's had the play.
Wheeler had a double back in the second inning.
Flied to center field back in the fourth.
Ball gets past the catcher and that'll bring in a run to score.
Oh.
Once again so and getting a good jump on that pitch carom back to the backstop.
She ran it all the way.
Easy to come in and score it again.
It's been the crooked numbers for Tucker in three innings now where they've scored more than a run.
Double.
They got five runs in the second and three in the fourth.
Now three in the fifth.
Molly Shelley on the mound.
She's so she got something in her eyes.
Now the one thing for Woodlawn they still have Carson Chastain that they could throw if they needed to.
And it just looks like something got in her eyes.
Yeah.
Now a lot of times playing out here, they they've got the rubber turf that you get the rubber that's in the turf.
It was a little pellet.
Yeah a little pellet might pop up occasionally.
Well I cannot tell you playing in you know games where you're competitive and you're sweaty and you get something your eye.
It's the worst thing.
Yeah, yeah, it is, because you can't ever seem to get it out.
And everybody's watching.
You feel like you're slowing the game down.
You're not.
But it's still just frustrating.
And I know Shelby.
And then when you're down 11 to 4, that just kind of insult to injury.
Your brain.
Goes to one ball.
So what was the count to Briston Wheeler.
Have been.
Out.
Swung on.
Lifted to left field.
It's a home run for Austin Wheeler with the jack.
How bout it?
Night.
Home run of the season.
She set the record at Tuckerman last year as a freshman.
All smiles for the sophomore.
That ball got out of here in a hurry.
A solo shot for Briston Wheeler.
It's the second home run of the ball game for Tuckerman, and they have extended their lead pull side all the way.
That ball was middle and Wheeler was sitting on it and she didn't miss it.
Got every stitch of it over the left field fence.
So now Josie Branch is at the plate.
Great job.
Let's go back and dig in the money girls.
Got it.
Done.
And it looks like we're going to have a pitching change.
So as they take the pitching change we will as well.

Well, Lacey Rawls back in the ball game for Woodlawn.
And when she was there earlier she pitched an inning and two thirds.
Gave up five hits five runs, had two walks and two strikeouts.
As her team trails 12 to 4 here in the bottom of the fifth inning.
And at the plate, you've got the three hole hitter and Josie Branch, followed by Megan Richardson.
There is two outs in the inning and that pitcher is lone outside.
There.
Yeah, but the damage is done right.
Five of the second.
Three in the fourth.
Now for the fifth row.
Here's a strike.
One thing you could say, though about Tucker, and they have come through when they needed to only left three runners on.
Woodlawn has left on a handful and they've had chances.
Woodlawn has.
There's still six outs to go.
But man, they have just left too many runners aboard.
That'll take the count full at three and two.
And she gets a strikeout and a way to battle back right there for the third down here in the inning.
But not until Tuckerman scores four runs in the inning, including the big home run by Bryson Wheeler as Tuckerman leads 12 before.

There are some fans enjoying the softball game and all the tournament action here in Hot Springs at Majestic Park as it's 12 to 4.
Tuckerman leads Woodlawn as we go to the top of the sixth inning.
Tucker Ryan has had a couple big innings here.
If you think the second inning they scored five runs, they scored four there in the fifth and and then three in the fourth.
So it's been on of runs by Tuckerman.
But Woodlawn has found ways to answer.
They scored one in the first one of the third, two in the fourth.
And now here they are in the sixth inning with their 912 hitters do up.
It's not impossible, but you certainly are going to have to string together hits so you don't have a lot of outs to work with Simmons at the plate.
And as she'll take ball one.
It's going to take really good at bats, certainly from the bottom part of the lineup mainly Simmons has done a really nice job.
Just his sophomore.
Been able to flip that lineup over.
She's going to need to continue to do so to give her team a chance.
Oh, there's a strike called on the outside part of the plate.
It's a count one.
And one was for as good as both of these teams have been.
How about the job Richardson's done coming in to the game?
She is stymied.
The Woodlawn bats, for the most part.
One one swung on and missed picks down to one and two.
Ball two.
Nothing.
I hope you got this game.
Let's go.
Oh, baby.
On the ball battle lines.
Here's the one two that swung on.
Chopper out to short.
And it's handled that time by Sophie.
She'll get it to first for the first down.
How about that.
Ranging from short left hand side covers the ground.
And that's a really nice play.
Defensively it may look easy.
It's not so good.
Makes it look easy with all the athleticism in the world.
So back to the top of the order.
As Jessie Hoyt is at the plate points, walked twice and had a single to left field back in the first inning.
First pitch is swung on and missed.
That's the high hitter rice ball from Richardson.
Hoyt likes them up there.
She can hit it a long way, but just couldn't quite get underneath that one.
Here's the Change-Up.
It's going to miss low right?
I really like that drop ball.
Just able to see it.
Looks like you've already elevated the eyes.
Goes that changeup low.
Doesn't get the swing and miss but it's still a really good pitch.
One one and a miss inside to.
Go.
Two one swung on out to short so throws the cross back to back.
Put outs for Soden and it's now two outs in the inning.
She's a vacuum over short.
You don't want to hit it that way.
So and a nice glove.
Good strong throw across and don't look now.
But Woodlawn is down to their final four outs.
Barring the run rule.
Mom baby come out.
Rally.
So Dukes at the plate as a strike is called outside half of the plate.
No, you go, you go.
But what a state championship game that Dukes had, right?
Yeah, yeah, she's had two singles in a walk so far.
And that one misses high.
A senior playing in her final game of high school.
What a career it's been for Kendall.
Took in all these seniors.
One ball, one strike that's swung on.
Lifted out to right field over her head.
She'll round first base and head to second.
And it'll be a double for Kendall, too, who's headed to National Park College?
Nice.
Go.
Oh, boy.
Seem to be a little bit emotional too.
After that double.
How about it?
What a career she's had.
And how about that?
Hit three for three in the state championship game.
That is incredible.
As such hit two walks or a miss.
Redman riding had a single in the first, single in the third and a double there in the sixth.
Now here's a pitch to Lacey.
Rawls now rolls on the day, grounded out to shortstop twice and then to the first baseman.
She's oh for three.
Rawls would love a hit.
She's just not quite had the state championship game she would like offensively.
Oh, there's a strike called on the inside half the plate that you got a team for.
Let's go baby on deck is Molly Shelby.
And it going to get past the catcher.
That'll advance two to third base.
Hey good job tough boy.
Love to see that embrace coach you at Kendall took off.
That was her last at-bat of her high school career.
It's a way to go out a double to right field.
Hammered it.
That's a called strike on the outside.
Half.
Takes the count to one and two.
Come on, let's go to four.
That's a chopper out to Soden.
Cross the diamond.
And that's going to do it six three on the put out.
So they get one base, hit the inning, leave a runner on and we head to the bottom of the sixth inning where Tuckerman leads at 12 to 4.
And you're watching the Centennial Bank state softball Championships on Arkansas TV sports.
This is a bit of an odd one.
The offender had to smuggle in an antique execution device for a first.
Brian had an eye for a good deal.
You mean, did he like ripping off unsuspecting mortals?
Sure.
Brian had a disagreement with the camera guy.
I mean, this fella.
There are no other signs of physical damage.
Which suggests that the victim seemed the position willingly.

Well, we head to the bottom half of the inning as right now Tuckerman they lead at 12 to 4 in the sixth inning.
And there they've got their four five, six hitters do up.
And Megan Richardson, Alex Hampson and McKenzie Hutchinson and I tell you what, man, this Woodlawn team know you got to be impressed even though the score is a little lopsided.
I mean, they've been fighting this entire game.
They really have their impressive bunch.
They've their offense is legit.
There's just been a few plays here and there that just didn't go their way.
Yeah Megan Richardson on the day had the home run back in the second inning.
Had a base hit to right field in the fourth inning and struck out the in the second as well.
She batted twice that inning.
First pitch is going to miss outside.
I mean, you know we talked about it early on.
Arguably that inning was when things change.
Lacey Robles was dealing Richardson the solo home run to lead off the second, and Tucker Ridge not looked back since.
That's right.
But hey, don't forget coming up at 4:00 today.
It's A3A baseball game right here on Arkansas TV.
It's Harmony Grove and Ashdown high pitched sails low.
Got Lacey Middle Bobby Swofford will be on the call.
You got another one today Back to back backer.
So that whole we were going to get lunch things probably not going.
Yeah well that's why you look unless you unless you want to bring it up here.
I thought that's, it gave me a weird look whenever I said we're going to eat.
And, I didn't realize you had back to back duties today.
Now, here's the pitch.
Swung on and missed.
Takes the count two and one.
Yeah.
Just today, though, I've only got two this this championship weekend.
I've got.
Is that right?
This softball game.
And then, I'll be on the six day baseball game.
Oh 949 yeah.
Okay.
So here's a big swing to the left field and that's going to hit off the wall.
Awesome.
Oh wait wait.
She'll make it into second base.
Legends I think she was hoping for a two homer day.
Just missed another solo bomb.
She'll get the courtesy runner.
She's all laughs and rightfully so.
Absolutely smashed it.
She's a she is a triple away from the cycle.
Wow.
That's one.
You got a leg that out right.
Try for it at least.
I mean she needs a double or so.
She had a strikeout back in the second.
Oh I say I got to say yeah.
Now she does.
So now Allie Samson's at the plate.
Fouled the bunt back.
And that's Kinsley Wheeler and Iran again.
She came in earlier in the game.
Some talented players in that Wheeler bunch.
It's a great baby.
Good.
High you keep fighting five Samson on the day had a base hit back in the in the second inning.
Flied out to the first baseman and grounded out the shortstop in the third and fourth.
For allowing.
For that ball is going to miss inside.
Hey good job guys.
Good snack baby.
You got it baby.
Deep fighting.
Yeah.
No.
One ball, one strike.
That'll be fouled out of play to take the count to one and two in that sweeper comes across the plate.
Lacey rolls has had that going on.
It's tough to pick up.
Gets ahead with it.
One two misses inside.
Hi.
Good hustle runner.
Thought about advancing and keep it up.
Side against it.
Keep digging baby.
Keep digging.
Here's the one two.
That's far down the right field side that goes foul.
Right there.
No man's land.
Yeah Bermuda Triangle.
Oh Allie.
Well, before our scores, Tuckerman trying to win their third state championship.
Here.
Miss.
Down low.
Boy.
Didn't miss by much.
Two balls or excuse me.
Three balls.
Two strikes.
Ball just slipped out of her hand.
That only advance.
Meghan Richardson or excuse me, the two Wheeler.
I actually advanced Wheeler to third.
And then they'll put Sampson at first base.
So now the winning run would be at first base due to the run.
Rule ten after five.
If the runner from first scores assuming the runner at third scores.
Also it's ballgame.
McKenzie Hutchinson's at the plate.
She's over three on the day high that will be fouled back.
I can't find kid.
You keep hustling.
You got it baby.
Five.
Now go up to the play.
McKenzie Hutchinson.
That's Emma Davis, the six seven hitters.
All is going to miss inside.
Is power.
Go!
You got it.
Five.
Come on, baby, let's go to four.
One ball, one strike.
Pitch on the way is hit out to short throw over to first for the out.
Runner does score.
Now would be Richard Wheeler who came in to score.
That'll move Samson over to third base.
That's the one run down.
It's only one out.
As Emma Davis at the plate.
Davis got a single back in the second inning, then struck out in the third in the fifth inning.
Let's go girl.
She started this game in the circle.
She's got a chance to end it now.
Woodward pitch is going to be low.
Let's catch it for the pose.
The one on deck.
For.
Tuckerman 13 runs, 12 hits.
They've only left three runners.
They have capitalized on those runners.
That's swung on and missed for Davis was trying to end things.
She was just trying to hit it hard somewhere.
Get that runner in.
And then give up.
That's fouled back into the net.
Takes the count to one and two.
You know that Rawls does not want this game to end.
She wants to get out of this in and give her team a chance at the top of the seventh.
Okay?
All right.
That's swung on and fouled back.
She's having a tough Davis not going down without a fight.
Oh I see it.
Oh.
One two is the count.
Here's the pitch that's swung on lifted out to center field.
That'll bring in a run after the catch.
And that'll do it.
Tuchman they are your state champion for the first time since 2022.
The trophy's headed back to town.
What a season for the Bulldogs.
They remain undefeated in the state title game three.
And oh as they'll bring home their third state championship trophy in school history.
Oh oh.
Oh, well.
14 to 4.
Tuckerman Lee wins it.
We'll take a break.
When we come back, we'll wrap this thing up as you're watching the Centennial Bank softball Championships on Arkansas TV sports.

There are the Tuckerman Lady Bulldogs is your 2026 to a softball state champions as they win it 14 to 4 today.
What a great performance by Tuckerman.
And really all around I mean start to finish this lineup.
They were hitting it and hitting it often as they scored 14 runs here.
Here's some highlights of today's ball game.
And I mean when we talk about not only was defensively that was a good play by Woodlawn, but the hits just kept coming that time for Tuckerman.
Nice hook.
Slide right there off the miss tag.
And that was the big inning back in the second inning.
You go back to small plays like that.
That diving play from Davis that ended up allowing five runs and scored the home run from Richardson.
Tuckerman made the plays down the stretch.
They drove in a lot of runs.
They only left three runners on.
They executed on the biggest stage.
Woodlawn had some big plays too.
They just didn't have enough.
They left too many runners on and Tuckerman made them pay in the run roll win for their third state championship in school history.
It was just going their way today.
Yeah.
No, it was, it was a heck of a ballgame.
Your MVP of this ballgame.
Is going to be Megan Richardson.
I think you and I kind of saw that coming, right?
Richardson on the day just had a great day at the plate.
She was three of four with three RBI, had a home run, a double.
And then on the mound, she went two and one thirds innings, gave up one hit, no earned runs, had two walks and a strikeout.
And Megan Richardson is your MVP.
Don't forget.
