It's just a melting pot of jazz, R&B, Hip-Hop, rock, and dance music.

(hands tapping) (band members laughing) So, the first two songs that we played, (soft acid jazz music) we actually did a mashup with the song "Pretty Girl," which is one of our most notable songs, and "Ecliptic Love," which is off of our last album, "Ecliptic," that just came out November 8th.
With "Pretty Girl," we collaborated with two artists, 93MG and Jasmine Janea, which is probably the most popular rendition of the song.
And "Ecliptic Love," that was just me and Tad and my mom's living room.
(acid jazz playing distantly) We worked that out and I tried to play bass on keys and try to get away with it, it didn't really sound that great.
And then (chuckling) called up Dust, and I said, "Hey, you play bass 10 times better than me."
And that was it!
We decided this morning, actually.
I was listening to the records, I'm like, "Oh wait, these are both in G Minor, we can just easily match these two together."
So, we rehearsed it a couple minutes ago, an hour ago, and there it is!
First ever "Pretty Girl" "Ecliptic Love" mashup!
"Ecliptic Love," that was, I was inspired by a lot of bands like Kool & the Gang, Earth, Wind & Fire.
And definitely knew we wanted something disco-y, funky kind of vibe, and around that time, I wanna say August of 2019, we started writing it, and that was right after our Lunar Vacation show.
So, I was super inspired by them hometown cats.
So I was like, "Okay."
And then I thought about it and said, "Alright, what rhymes with, what could be a cool thing with Lunar Vacation?"
And that's where Solar Sensation came in, I was like, "Okay, hold on, we have a eclipse kinda thing going on."
So that's when I started writing the songs, and then "Mr.
Moon" is in there, which is a reference or a nod to Jamiroquai.
(acid jazz music) The name Arkose came from a street sign over by Windy Hill.
And I just, I used to drive past it all the time, going to Georgia State.
Love the name, and started writing demos, and they're all instrumental, so I wasn't gonna name him "Happy Song Number Four."
So, instead I would name him after street signs.
And Arkose was one and the engineer said, "Hey, I always like that one name!
Like, yeah, I like Arkose!"
I was like, "All right, cool."
And then we found out that it's actually a rock.
A sedimentary rock to be specific, for you geologists.
And so, the concept for me on that is sedimentary rock is made of rocks of rocks.
And that's kinda how we view the music here is genres or styles of styles into one.
(soft acid jazz music) (people chattering distantly) I would say life inspires me.
I know that sounds cliche, (sax playing distantly) but I feel like if I'm in a writer's block where I'm not really truly inspired at the moment, I try to live life, go outside, walk the dog, have fun, just the little things like that.
And then, every once in a while when I'm around the guys in the band, they play ideas, and that's usually a really, really quick way to start writing again, is playing with the guys.

(soft music) And a little bit about "Prom Queen" is, I wrote this song really, really late at night.
I was really inspired by "Dreaming of You" by Selena (speaking in foreign language) And a little bit about that song is it's really romantic, it's really soothe.
And when I kinda wrote a little bit of the hook and the verse, I showed my husband.
And I was like, "I really wanna finish this song, I want it to be like a love letter."
And I also wanna imagine what it would be like to dance on our wedding day, so I'm very emotional and empathetic, and I really wanted to have a song to capture that chapter of our lives, so that's "Prom Queen."
I love indie pop, I grew up on a lot of like Abba, like very classic pop.
Oh, my grandfather, he loved The Beatles, so I think a lot of the sonics and sounds that I'm inspired by is from my grandfather.
My dad, he's Puerto Rican, he loves reggaeton, he loves salsa, so I think like having his influence of our roots allows me to stay grounded in my culture.
And I would say, altogether, my sound, I would feel comfortable saying like dream pop, indie pop, maybe a little alternative 'cause I'm a little emo kid at heart, so somewhere in a mix of all those.
I'm Puerto Rican, that's my background, my dad was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico and he moved to The States.
My whole family moved.
It was a lot easier to get opportunities in Orlando, Florida, so when I say I'm grounded in my culture, my family, my grandmother, she keeps me at heart, and whenever we go visit, I just, it's very homey, so try to carry that with me over here in the States, especially in Atlanta.
(laughing) ♪ Hmm, hmm ♪ (CSNDRA singing distantly) - Things that have influenced my career as an artist.
My love for art, my love for creativity, I grew up going to a lot of museums with my grandma when I was younger, and I think having those experiences allowed me to see like what was out there.
And my grandfather, he was a really, really big fan of music, and so he would make me mix tapes all the time, and he would show me different genres, (soft music) and whether it was rock or like classic soul, or just like classic pop, I feel like he really showed me like what different sounds there were.
And I feel like honestly that played a huge role into just my love for music.
And my father as well, he's a singer, so I would say that those childhood experiences like built this love and appreciation for music, and they still continue to share those moments with me.
So, it's really cool to see how being young and admiring their love for music, and now I get to be like a reflection of that season of my life and of their life too.
And now, they get to see me seeing making songs, and yeah, I would say that that's kind of, I guess, a big influence.
This next song is "Cuida," and a little bit about "Cuida," it's like this ooey-gooey, teen love dreamy song, and we wrote it just because me and Andro were feeling really emotional.
We were like, "Let's just make a cutesy love song."
(soft indie music) (CSNDRA singing in foreign language) (CSNDRA singing in foreign language) - That was "Cuida," and this is "Sounds Like ATL," I'm CSNDRA, and thank you so much for watching.
