Visual Arts, Dance, Drama, Writing, Spoken Word... they all work together.
Arts can work together, sometimes even in the same exhibit. It's all about the message you're trying to convey and the experience you're creating for the audience.

- Yeah, people are often surprised or they forget that all the arts are interrelated, and many of them even use some similar terminology to explain their language, like line, form, design, texture, balance, color.
And you'll find line in drama.
You'll find line in music.
And variation, you'll find all those things.
And so once you become familiar with the language and then you learn how to speak through that language.
And what we try to do is to help the beginning artists, the youth, the advanced artists, and the community person experiencing it become familiar with the language of various art forms so they can gain more from the experience of seeing or participating in.
But it's related.
And once you recognize that interrelatedness, then it opens you up to even greater enrichment, understanding and appreciation, even to the point that you begin to recognize unfamiliar form from another culture that you know nothing about, but you know can look at the art, look at the music, look at the dance, and see similarities.
And look at dance.
Every culture uses dance to celebrate, commemorate things that are positive and happy and down, even some things that are sad.
So once you get that understanding, it just opens you up to all ways of knowing and expressing.
But the main thing, also, appreciating self and others just looking at art.
