They are the largely unseen consequence of the opioid crisis in our country: every 25 minutes, a baby is born exposed to opioids. It’s a condition known as Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, or NAS. Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital treats and cares for about 100 moms and babies with NAS each year. Cathy sits down with a neonatologist and nurse working to help these babies.
