#### The Fayette County Public School system will require masks for students, staff, and visitors - kindergarten through 12th grade.
Superintendent Demetrus Liggins says the decision comes after increased case numbers caused by the Delta variant.
Jefferson County is also requiring masks.
#### Madison and Franklin County public schools will not require masks, though they are recommended.
Carter and Martin Counties will each postpone the beginning of the school year.
#### State Senator Alice Forgy Kerr says she has COVID, despite being vaccinated.
She says she will be quarantined through the weekend.
#### The state's new Overdose Fatality Report says almost two-thousand Kentuckians died of drug overdoses in 2020 - a 49 percent increase from 2019.
