A new welding academy being offered this fall in the north country.
A free class offered this fall by the North Country Chamber of Commerce will train new welders desperately needed by local manufacturers, like railcar maker Alstom, to help build hundreds of railcars at its Plattsburgh factory. We'll talk with the Chamber's Joel Wood about the class to fulfill the demand for skilled welders.
