The nationwide shortage of baby formula supplies began roughly six months ago. Manufacturer Abbott Laboratories now says it could take up to 10 weeks to get products back on the shelves after shutting down production following a massive recall. The shortage is especially challenging to low- and moderate-income parents and is now being felt at food pantries.
