Businesses and higher-income families will benefit most, some tax experts say

Starting Saturday, a 10-day sales tax holiday goes into effect, exempting customers from paying the state's 6.625% sales tax on school supplies. Lawmakers who pushed for the tax holiday say it will help the many who spend hundreds of dollars on back-to-school items. But there are concerns the tax holiday will be of most benefit to higher-income households and businesses.
