I'm from Matawa, Minnesota.
The style of music I play - I guess traditional country roots is what I grew up with but I take that into like a country blues soul kind of a sound with a little bit of gospel background.
I'’’m gonna close my eyes and pray For that wisdom holiday And the good Lord he'’’ll lead me To my street of gold.
Instrumental Papa said hey child, Where you gonna go?

My soul sings every night Gotta find a star to make it right.
And I gotta get there, before they ever know.
Mama said, hey child, You better stay home.

And the good Lord will lead me, to my street of gold.
And the good Lord will lead me...to my street of gold.
And the good Lord he will lead me to my street of gold.
I started performing back in the late 90's - early 2000's.
I got brave enough to start playing and writing and performing.
I would do mostly covers when I first started and people came to hear me in this little local town and they like said " you should go up to Duluth and start playing at open mikes, and then I got my first gig was at Fitger's Brewhouse up in Duluth, Minnesota.
From then on, I started playing more and I started writing more.
My first album came out in 2006.
Instrumental Split a cord of wood And stack it please.
Wind is whipp'’’n through the leaves blow'’’n off of the trees.

Instrumental Whoa, whoa, whoa Instrumental May the powder clouds float nicely by, The shadow from the meadow stay still and dry.
Me and my dog Bella, we like to laugh and cry.
Live the way you want to, or your dreams will surely die, Whoa, whoa, whoa...(instrumental) I perform because I love music so much and I feel like I have a lot to say, I'm not very good with maybe sometimes expressing how I feel, but with music its like right down in my soul and its in my heart and thats how I express my emotions, express what I'm going through and performing that - and if people can grasp that feeling, the love and the soul of the way I feel, thats the way I feel that I've done my job and that gives me a lot of satisfaction.
Instrumental Take the junk boat to the water, like I'’’ve done a time or two.
You can't trust the Mississippi, when you'’’ve got a job to do.
Instrumental Better watch out for the current - don'’’t fight it if you don'’’t have to, Morning fog makes it harder, when you've got a job to do.
Instrumental Well, she used to smile quite nicely, before that dog he came into town.
Now she stares through blankly, at the new shame that she has found.
Instrumental Come on river, take me swiftly to that bend beyond the ash, I see the flicker of light, in that old shack.
Raise that shotgun to my shoulder and I ain't gonna miss, Lord.
You took my sister and I'm gonna kill her now.
I'm gonna put some pellets right between your eyes.
Raise that shotgun to my shoulder and I ain't gonna miss, No l Raise that shotgun to my shoulder, I ain't gonna miss.
