The whole family can come in and walk out with stuff to ski on or stuff to snowboard on.
Hi, my name is Laura Witrak and I am the team Duluth Swap Coordinator, and I am in charge of putting on the annual swap for alpine, downhill and snowboard gear equipment.
I'm also a ski instructor here at Spirit Mountain, and, I really wanted to introduce my kids to skiing, and they tend to do better when they're listening to other adults.
So I found out about Team Duluth.
Team Duluth were celebrating its 60th year.
We serve the youth from five all the way to 18 and teach them sk racing at all different levels.
This is our biggest, most important fundraiser.
We're able to because of the swap and the money we raise keep our registration fees down.
Sometimes it's like a lot of gearheads like equipment nuts who have like ten, ten skis, ten pairs of skis and poles and boots and nine snow pants or whatever.
So they come in, they want to offload it.
We get, three shop that come Ski Hut, Continental.
They're both in Duluth and then Lutsen Recreational.
And so they bring in a lo of their gear that's discounted.
Friday is when people can come in and buy things.
Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
Our whole goal is to get more people on the hill to love going down the hill in a safe, fun way.
