This is the Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network or BARN.
Part classroom, part workshop and part creative commons.
With 11 studios and more than 1500 members.
What makes BARN special isn't just the tools.
It's the fact that creativity belongs to everyone.
This is woodworking.
Fun fact.
If you come to Bainbridge and visit the library,.. a Japanese garden featuring a beautiful bench made right here by him.
And this is Fiber Arts, where members can weave and sew to their heart's content.
I'd make something for you, but no idea what the heck I'm doing.
And this is the Glass Arts Studio, where fire, heat, and glass come together to make mini masterpieces.
Podcasts can be art too.
This is the media arts studio and this is the writer’s studio.
Each one of these book covers represents a book written by a BARN member.
You could even be next.
BARN is a place where creativity is shared, skills are passed down, and people of all experience levels come together to make things with their hands.
And the action just isn't inside.
Outside you'll find a garden where members grow and harvest plants to make natural dyes.
See all those colors?
Plants did that.
And if you get hungry, you might find yourself in the culinary arts studio where you can make and taste recipes from around the world.
At the barn, you'll find everything, even the perfect place to go when it's hammer time.
I'm Angela.
Thank you for exploring.
I'll see you at BARN.
