Senator Mitch McConnell seat.
He is not seeking reelection.
A new poll shows Cameron ahead of Barr, 37 to 29%.
And a poll from a pro Barr political action committee.
Cameron is Kentucky's former attorney general.
Barr is the congressman for Kentucky's sixth district.
Barr's camp says Cameron has slipped from an earlier poll which showed him with 39%.
Nate Morris, a businessman who's already running TV commercials, is in third place with 8% of the vote.
Barr is launching his first TV ad focused on his support for President Donald Trump.
A lot of politicians talk about supporting President Trump.
