Hello everybody.
I'm Westmore, joined by Bobby Swofford.
Four more games to go, walked in this morning.
I saw just eight trophies, four for the winners, 4 for the runner ups.
That table was full when we started over here on Thursday morning, but now we're down to 8 trophies and we got a good one to start us off.
Today the 4A Girls State Championship game between Harrison in Farmington and these two teams know each other.
Well, yeah, we've seen this a few times already in the first 8 state championship games, not a rematch round #4 between Farmington and Harrison, the Lady Goblins got the first one, but Farmington has the past two, including the district tournament and the regional tournament.
Harris is quite a story.
They went 16 and oh and conference they were kind of the.
Number one team in the state.
Everyone thought this is the team and here's how they got here.
Yeah, pretty impressive.
Run to be quite honest.
They get by Brooklyn in the first round.
Takedown Star City who went undefeated made it to the championship game a season ago.
Handle the home team in Moralton to get here to the Championship and Farmington.
The other team who reached the title game last year.
Of course, that game wasn't played because of covid, an easy win over Mina and a really gutsy performance against Pulaski Academy.
Let's take a look at some of the players you need to keep an eye on.
Tonight will start with Harrison and.
Alex Hill Alex Hill already knows where she's going to play college ball.
She's already going to Arkansas Tech and she does it all over the floor, 17.6 rebounds, six assists.
She is the straw that stirs the drink and over in Farmington.
Keep an eye on Tori Kersey, 18.
Points also leads the Lady Cardinals in rebounds, much like Hill on the other side, she's going to make this team go, but three players scoring double figures for the Lady Cardinals.
So if she's not going, they've got plenty of other options.
Tori has offers from several D2 schools, including Arkansas Tech, so who knows, maybe they end up being.
Teammates after today's game will come back and take a look at the starting lineup so we come back.

Next level.
Just moments away from the start of the four Girls Basketball Championship, we got Farmington in Harrison.
Getting ready to tip it off.
Starting lineups are being introduced and taking a look at Farmington and their red jerseys.
Today.
Harrison will be in the white, trimmed in blue.
Starting lineups for the two teams for Farmington will start with them first.
Carson Dillard 5.
Seven guard.
She's a junior wearing #11 Tori kersey.
We already told you about her.
He's 511 forward.
She is a senior Megan Hernandez #25 nine forward.
She is a junior Trinity Johnson Trinity, a guard, a senior Guard, 5 nine and Trinity.
Discord about 11 points a game.
She leads the team in three point shooting, steals and charges.
She's committed to play at Southwest Oklahoma.
Ann Morgan Bride, the final starter, performing in Farmington.
She wears number 34511 forward and only a junior Farmington was in this game last year, but didn't get a chance to play it if we already mentioned the game was cancelled due to the Covid outbreak a year ago was supposed to play Star City, so they shared that championship.
But you know, this one means a lot to not only coach Brad Johnson, but also number 23 on that roster you see on the screen.
Trinity Johnson that's his daughter.
We know they want to go out in their last game together on the sideline with championship for Harrison.
You're starting lineup.
Alex Hill Hill had a big game in the semifinals against Moralton.
She had 22 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals, player Burger.
#4 player had 15 points and seven rebounds against Moralton.
She averages right about that 14 points and five rebounds.
Sidney Shrum, number 10.
Sidney.
Quite a story.
Sidney tore her ACL last July.
Came back December, she retorted, so she's playing on it.
She's got it all braced up she's going to pull up in playing and going to play one more game with a torn ACL.
#22 Mariah Hudson.
And #30 Maggie Santa also Harrison.
Now they've been hit by the injury bug when you think about it, Brent Oleson all conference performer season to go out with the Achilles injury.
So not exactly full strength or the Lady Goblins, but they found a way to persevere and get here to the state championship game.
I've got a chance to take that Crown back to North Central Arkansas, but this is the fourth meeting.
Harrison won the first one on January, the eight 5842 farmington's got the better of the Lady Goblins in the postseason.
In the district tournament 7664 victory and in the regional tournament 6361, Harrison able to bounce back play a little better.
They started 16, anno 20 and three is we're getting ready to tip off here in this for a title game that was impressive to me.
You're 16, and oh, then you lose three times in the span of two weeks in the in the tournament and then to come back as in battle your way with the bad seed and make it all the way here.
Let's see if they can finish it off Farmington Harrison and the tip it shows how good that conference was West.
Three of the Final Four in the semifinals all came from that same League battle, tested just making each other better.
Farmington comes out playing a little man demand.
Harrison gets the office setup and they're going to go to work.
Will pick and roll all the way.
The basket left hand layup goes in.
Used every bit of the iron there.
Harrison strikes 1st Alex Hill with it Farmington.
Be passed down the court.
Now go the other side of the court.
Swinging the ball around.
Nowalk their fans wanted it didn't get it.
Said the shroom with the rebound he comes from you mention the top glass.
How gutsy doesn't go out and play with a torn ACL suffered twice in the last year?
We take a miracle more than a torn ligament to keep her out of this title game right.
Hudson gets it to Alex Hill.
He was looking to drive again.
She gets a shot, often fouled.
Build their leading scorer and you can see the aggressiveness with her.
Yes, she's not waiting for that feeling out process.
She's going to drive to the basket already.
Got one to roll around, and in that time draws the foul left to get a chance to add to her total.
You know a lot of times we've seen this already in the first eight games.
She nerves are factors.
I mean, it's a state championship, bright lights on TV, a lot more fans here, and I love the fact that Alex Hills trying to make the game a little simpler by driving to the basket, gets a layup.
Get some free throws, that's the way you get relaxed now and we've talked about it a few times just watching the ball go through and at one time can just call me down as a team so much and Harrison able to get the early basket.
Harrison gets the steal from Claire Barger player all the way down.
Lay up good there up to 50.
Start really quick, start offense, then on defense for Harrison.
Wide open 3 point attempt is off the rim and Harrison gets the rebound.
Morgan, Brian couldn't knock it down.
Harrison thought about it, thought she was going to.
Port.
Schrum with it.
Going back inside.
Double team splits it left hand layup Good 70 timeout.
That'll settle, it's the nerves settle the truth with Alex Hill came out to play today.
5 quick points in Harrison Alpha early 70 lead.
K so Harrison's leading scores off to a great start.
She's getting it done.
You gotta think that's what Farmington Scott they gotta go to their go to girl they've got against or car she's gotta get involved in the offense.
18 points a game try to get something going towards the basket.
Maybe they collapse.
Set up a wide open jump shot on the outside but you know there's a lot of time but you gotta calm the nerves and we see this in almost every title game.
One team jumps out to a 7 maybe 10 point lead and then the other team starts to settle in.
It makes it a contest.
Curse he picked up a foul early on, but I don't.
I can't remember even touching the ball.
Farmington there you go, drive to the whole, get to the free throw line.
You have good strong take there.
That's what the coaches daughter would do, right?
Absolutely here in the middle of a bad run, you got things going against you.
What do you do?
You drive to the basket?
GIF out.
Yeah, Trinity Johnson just took it in our own hands there literally took it to the basket, draw the foul and now she's got formatted on the board.
Two for two.
I'm not putting getting shot up with Coach Brad Johnson's got the ring you one last year on hoping to put one on that other hands.
It's gotta be a feeling of unfinished business.
Absolutely.
You know, you're never going to give the championship back, but he, I know they really wanted the chance to play in that title game.
It's an undefeated star City squad.
Harrison working around there going to keep going to the basket.
It's been working.
They're going to keep doing it off.
It's a rebound ball is in Maggie salmon with her first points of the game, and I shot my salmon to stick with it.
She split the double team able to get to that in.
There's cercyon getting involved.
Last left handed finish there and you start to see Farmington.
After that I'm out starting to be a little more aggressive as Harrison tried to push the temple just a bit too much.
Do it out of bounds first.
Turnover over for the game for Harrison.
Harrison's been showing this press the entire time hasn't really caused any turnovers or any issues, but it may be just taking Farmington out of their normal offensive.
This speed him up just a little bit.
That's really all you want to do, or all you need to do.
Get him out of rhythm.
Curses, little floater wouldn't go.
She's now one or two from the field.
Airsense made four of their first five attempts from the floor.
Barger drives to the basket right handed floater.
Good, nice shot from Bargar.
Four out of six from the field, Harrison might have watched the last couple games.
There's a turnover.
First, turnover of the game that press is causing this Mariah Hudson taking advantage of it.
Harrison might have watched the state championship games from yesterday, maybe Thursday, and so all the bad shooting says.
Now we're going to Buck that trend.
They shot anything outside of the Lane public the half.
As easy as are getting to the Lane, why would they?
3 pointer tip good.
Farmington needed at Trinity.
Johnson says I'm not going into Lane.
I'm good from 24 feet.
Watched him shooting warmups and take could shoot it.
It was just ball after ball going through the net.
13 seven more than halfway done in the first quarter.
Methodically working their offense now they'll take a three that was a little short.
Trump couldn't come up with it.
Really nice job defensively there by Hernandez to deny Alex Hilda basketball.
Drive to the basket and the foul, so we'll get a free throws from Trinity Johnson when we come back or I'm sorry from Tori Kersey when we come back, it's Harrison in the lead 13 to 7 you are watching the Centennial Bank Basketball championships on Arkansas.

Tori curse he going to the free throw line to shoot 2 after she was found.
Today's officials Kevin beating Austin Winterberger Winter Burton with Carlos Robinson.
Free throw is good.
Lead down to five for Harrison.
Curse you make some both 4 point game really different teams since Coach Johnson took that timeout.
Get him to settle down attack the basket.
It was seven nothing when he took that time out and it got a little 9 four run since then.
He'll back to the basket.
This time it won't fall for her.
Left handed layup goes.
Bargar with it, just keep attacking.
If it or excuse me Farmington thought they had to stop their ball tip to Harrison offensive rebounder ever get the second chance opportunity?
Harrison doing a really good job of talking on defense.
He listening.
You can hear him yelling out screens, talking to each other, letting each other know where they are.
Farmington baseline, jumper good.
You said that Farmington had to get Tori cursing involved.
Have done exactly that.
Another shot in the Lane.
This one won't fall Bargar misses this one.
The three good box out that was schrum on the box out.
Hope he seems really shooting it well to start 50% for Farmington, 64% for Harrison.
Hill trying to get into the Lane.
They won't let her get in this time.
First time we've really seen Harrison not go within 5.
Take that back.
Alex Hill running through the Lane, flies through their left handed layups good.
I'll try another little left at time.
No block out in Farmington is able to get on the board.
That was a big rebound from making Hernandez right place at the right time.
As you mentioned, Harrison didn't get a body on her, puts it off the glass and in the last time down Shrum did a great job of boxing her out and keeping her off.
I think they were kind of caught off guard with how quickly and the shot that was taken and no one even blocked out Trump for three good big shot from Trump or first bucket of the game.
She averages 10.
Got the purse off.
Boats called out from the bench.
We haven't had a lot of whistles in this game.
It's been up and down a good pace to it.
Just the 4th Wild call so far.
In their second meeting this year, there was 7664, so these two can get up and down and score points.
Harrison, with 20 points in the first quarter.
Hill with it 46 seconds to go in the first quarter.
Working it around a little bit.
Hill posting up strong to the basket.
Lot of people wanted Falcoz did get it, but they get the three point shot.
No good Trump misses this one without Leamington on the break.
Carson Dillard layups good at 20 seconds to go.
Great outlet pass.
Get the long rebound immediately.
Look up the floor hits.
Dillard in Stride 20 to 15.
Goblins so they can get the last shot off.
Get a good shot.
Schrum tour left no foul letting him play.
No Hill's gonna take it last second shot no good.
Not the shot they wanted.
Go to talk to him now, but that's not what they wanted.
That's a good.
First quarter though, for both sides, fan first quarter got three more to come.

Glad center, I thought maybe it's just me.
My ears are ringing.
Farmington begins the second quarter with this very entertaining first quarter 20 to 15 both teams playing well, shooting well, running a good offense, Farmington drives into shot is blocked.
Trump did really good job.
Good positioning there, but there some turns it over.
It's a second straight whistle, right?
Inner here, bringing it Harrison with the turnover right in front of us.
This is our second turnover of the game.
Farmington with three turnovers.
Just a well played first quarter.
All these teams like to get up and down.
It will take a lot of time to get into their offense.
And they've executed.
Mercy with it.
Can't get it to go strong.
Rebound for Paris and that's Reese rickets.
In the game.
Fresh from nobody stopping her.
She's just go all the way.
The whole block from behind though.
Rick, it's just the freshman for Harrison.
3 point attempt off the rim Farmington there for the rebound, another three.
Now they're hitting the glass story Curci can't get it to go.
3 tip.
Yeah, three good looks at it as well for Farmington.
But that shooting percentage starting to trickle down.
Now lady cards are under 40% from the Parker there go inside.
Put the double team is there.
Rick, it's flipped it up, couldn't get it to go.
They were wanting a foul call to look at Farmington on the road.
Just can't convert an IHSAA by Kirsty to run the floor, but gotta be able to compose yourself and finish.
That will frustrate her Hill with it, she's going to the basket, dumps it off in the corner.
All the way the basket Harrison on the board.
Mariah Hudson.
A shot by Hudson shot faking the corner got herself an easier shot.
Anwar.
Rick, it's got there just a step light.
Trinity Johnson for the second time going to the basket gets fouled.
It's nice and strong, aggressive taking.
I think that's one thing that's really impressed me about these two teams.
First and foremost, less is they're not afraid they're going to drive to the basket.
Try to draw some contact, get to the foul line.
Is Johnson Converse 3 point play?
She's got 8.
Both teams have multiple scores, is not just one or maybe 2.
They're full of girls that could take it to the whole like Hill left hand layup, good top shot, yeah and she makes it looks easy.
I mean she got she gets into the Lane, avoids the Contacts, goes up with the left hand and he's a little English.
Kearsley finds the cutter little backdoor cut hand straight up.
No foul becomes Hill with it.
The only down in the corner fake the three.
Go the basket, charge the job.
Either farming defender that's Trinity Johnson again, she's making plays on both ends of the floor.
Feats that took the hit.
Hudson got to the basket couple trips down the court that time.
Coaches daughter said no.
Yep, I got this.
Will take a deep three off the back of the rim, fight for the rebound.
Ricketts gets it.
Coach was employing the run go go.
They will attack the basket dump off pass layup good.
Parker with it.
Barber's now got 88 point Harrison Lee.
Long ball, just not going for Farmington where I couldn't get it to fall Harrison back to the basket wild shot.
Rickets with the rebound.
Rickets can't get it to go another offensive rebound, but this time Barker gets it to go in the hoop wishes that lead to 10 but offensive rebounds in Second Chance points becoming an issue there for the Farmington defense.
6 Second chance points on five offensive boards now for Harrison Harrison fans coming to their feet getting loud right behind us and what is Trinity Johnson do?
She drives to the basket, gets the foul called.
Yep, that's the best way to stop a run.
Six straight points here for the Lady Goblins.
They're going to say she was not in the process of shooting so ball out.
Farmington gets it in let's Johnson with it.
Good move to the basket.
Just could not finish.
Now there's been three or four point blank opportunities for Farmington.
Haven't been able to take advantage of Rick.
It's there for the rebound and Ricketts gets on the board.
Farmington is gonna be able to clean up the glass, but you gotta give Harrison a lot of credit.
Jamming bodies into the paint, getting second looks.
Lead up to 12.
Her she settles for the long jumper, it's no good.
Farmington needs to get to this next dead ball.
Let me have a media timeout.
They need to regroup.
Maybe slow this momentum down.
Eight over the last two minutes and 10 seconds.
Hill, 15 footer.
No good wild shot.
It's going to go out of bounds, and Farmington will have possession when we come back.
It's a 12 point lead for Harrison, fewer watching the Centennial Bank Basketball championships on Arkansas.

Droughts haven't scored and.
All my.
3 minutes over their last five.
It's allowed Harrison to build their lead to 12 Kersey to the basket may call charge.
Hill draws the charge.
You like the move by Kersey, but maybe a little out of control lowers the shoulder.
Harrison's defense able to take the hit, get the turnover curse is going to have to leave the game.
That's her second foul.
Tough spot here for Farmington.
Remember this?
They're down 12.
Their star player goes to the bench with two fouls.
Hill to the basket.
She gives it up.
Hill down in the corner open 3 good.
For the salmon, great dribble, drive and dish it out to the wide open shooter.
Hill draws the attention and drives and kicks.
It's finished by Hernandez.
I was wondering who was going to step up.
Figured Trinity Johnson would be one.
They need somebody else to step up.
In the absence of Kersey.
That was a good play from Hernandez ended at 11.
Oh run.
Looking inside of rickets.
She's getting a lot of attention.
Here comes Rick.
It's good move up.
Textbook basketball right.
There have a little contact after release but she's able to power through it.
Drive to the basket Farmington.
Now the office is flowing a little bit.
Dillard with the layup.
Much as these to get up and down 13 point lead is not going to be enough.
Well drives kicks.
Hill up high with that left hand yes.
We're going to have to keep the pedal to the metal way that Alex Hills plays something that's going to be a problem.
Harrison put up 20 in the first quarter.
They've already got 17 in the second quarter.
Fernandez being aggressive, 3 point shots good.
Three shiry the freshman.
Called up in the postseason and making an impact here in the championship game.
About that.
Your teams down by 15.
Your freshman, you go ahead and pull it from about 20 three feet.
Both of these teams have a freshman on the floors were about to play the final 40 seconds of this first half.
Harrison is going to call timeout and talk about what they're going to do this last 30 seconds.
Yeah, looks like Harrison was going to try to at least wind down this first half hold the final attempt, and you've got a 12 point lead.
Not a bad idea.
Farming Simulator.
Little bit of a push here.
They've hit their last three shots.
They need it stopped on the other end.
That was strange to see.
I haven't seen these teams slow down at all, I know.
And then the little spoiled with it.
Just go, go go go Bond first half.
Farmington trying to heat up after a slow start from the field there.
Now two of eight from the three point line to 25%.
The numbers for Harrison, pretty startling 17 to 31 from the field, that's 55%.
30 points in the paint for the Lady Goblins.
They're just going hard to the basket, getting some second chance opportunities.
Lee or doubling up Farmington in the rebounding category right now.
20 to 10.
We're making the effort place.
Officials getting really good at blowing the whistle right now in our face here.
Deal with it out top.
Looks over the referee.
See if he's counting down anything yet.
Going inside.
Outside, that's good basketball right there inside outside open three.
No good rebound.
Ricketts couldn't bring it in.
Shari with it 4 seconds.
2 seconds gotta get it off.
She does no good turn it.
E Johnson at the buzzer.
Can't get it to fall in.
Harrison will take a 37 to 25 lead to the locker room really good first after Harrison shot over 50% twenty rebounds.
Farm is going to make some adjustments in the paint and see if they can keep it up.
Second half action coming up.
You are watching the Centennial Bank State Basketball championships on Arkansas.

The Big red dog.
We love the state finals take place in a city that has such a rich and colorful history.
Here's Chuck dovish with a look at the storied spa city of Hot Springs.
Here in the spa city along world famous Bathhouse Row on Central Ave, you just never know who you might run into.
The ghost of Al Capone.
I can't believe they only got you for tax evasion.
Hot Springs was actually the first US reservation created in 1832 to protect the natural resource.
The Hot Springs 40 years before Yellowstone.
The main attraction of Hot Springs is Bathhouse Row.
The Fordyce Bathhouse serves as a museum and visitor Center for the National Park inside a Native American maiden offers a drink of the health giving water to early Explorer DeSoto.
The 8000 piece Glass skylight represents Neptune, SeaWorld, the buckstaff bathhouse and continuous operations since 1912 is the only one still providing the traditional bathing experience.
Other attractions along Central Ave.
Historic 1875 Arlington Hotel is the state's largest and has hosted celebrities, athletes and gangsters inside the former Southern Club Casino.
You may be able to recognize a few folks in wax.
And then there's the gangster museum where if you want to you can make like one.
I'll give you to the count of three to get you're no good for nothing dirty, lousy keister outta here.
Before I fill you full of lead.
Of course, the other big attraction in Hot Springs is o'clock.
Anfora Birds Eye view of the spa city.
The Hot Springs Mountain Tower provides that at 12146 feet in elevation.
And before leaving Hot Springs, be sure and stop in the Lamar Bathhouse and pick you up one of these a souvenir bathtub, and for that matter getting in one for a picture that will make all your friends jealous.
Yes, Sir.
Thanks Chuck, switching gears now.
Our own RJ Hawk had the opportunity recently to catch up with Sidney Shrum with Harrison High School RJ.
Take it away Sydney.
Thanks for joining us here at half and I guess hey, what you know the Harrison Goblins or have been competitive in basketball, football, baseball?
I mean, you name it.
What's the secret to success?
The six seniors on your basketball team?
Oh yeah, we've all played together for such a long time.
We have the team chemistry from playing summer ball in school ball for a long time, obviously.
So we know what each other is good at an well, and how we can help each other.
So we just work well together.
Talk about being essentially as one.
You.
You've got six seniors.
Then you've got a team manager that's a senior.
You know it's almost like a family for you guys, because not only are you guys playing basketball, but you're doing other things as well, correct?
Yes, yes, we hang out all the time.
Do team bonding and we just.
Voice I have been good friends so that helps a ton on the court.
OK so your senior point guard?
What what's one thing when you look back after this year is over with what's one thing you're going to take away and go?
Wow, I can't believe that happened this year.
Oh well, obviously the Cove in and then for me I tore my ACL in the summer so I've had to battle back from that and I.
You know battled through all this pain and stuff that mean teammate as well as she tore her Achilles twice and is not able to play with us anymore.
So we're playing for her 'cause we know how she feels, especially as a senior so.
You know, just battling through Kelvin and not knowing when our last game will be is, you know, just crazy to think about.
What's it like?
You, you're rehabbing a knee you're trying to get ready for a basketball season.
You got covid going on I mean, well, that's it.
That's an intense offseason right there.
Oh yeah, I was crazy.
I didn't get to do all season 'cause I was still rehabbing so I was going to therapy three times a week.
So I mean I would still go to practice and just shoot and do ball handling all that I could and still be there for my team.
'cause I know having on the seniors there definitely helps all the underclassmen and helps us prepare for everything.
So I mean it's been crazy, but it's definitely been fun and memorable.
So what's life after high school?
Look for you right now.
Right now I'm planning to attend the University of Arkansas Fayetteville and I want to pursue dermatology, so I want to go to Med school.
Major in biology, Awesome, Awesome, any basketball in your future after high school possibly.
Probably not.
Well, you know what, though?
At least you've got a plan and you've got something that you want to do when you get out of school.
What what are you doing around here?
So whenever it's not basketball season whenever you're not playing any other sports, what are you doing for fun around Harrison?
Oh well, it's small town so you know there's not a lot to do.
Me and my friends we go to Branson a lot since it's only 30 minutes away.
There's a lot more to do there.
I mean, are you a light girl at Branson?
Do you like to go down on the on the?
What is the River?
Walk down there?
What do you like to do in Branson, oh?
We always eat restaurants, you know, do mini golf.
We do go to the Lake Sam.
And so I mean, just really whatever we can do to get outside and enjoy summer and stuff.
So that's fine.
Well before we let you go, you being a senior, I know I've mentioned that a lot in this because it's really a special year for seniors because you've had to go through so much.
If you've got to give a piece of advice to a younger classmen, what would that be?
Oh man, I'd say, even if it does get hard and you never know when your last game is gonna be to just enjoy it while you can.
'cause it goes, it's been a pleasure and best of luck.
The rest of the way.
And in the rest of your college career and we will definitely be watching you as as you progress through life.
Thank you guys.
Let's send it back to you at the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame.
Things are.
They will certainly keep an eye out for Sidney.
Alright, the Arkansas PBS mascot Clifford the Big Red Dog is back to learn more about basketball.
Let's see what he's learning at this time.
All calls.
Web Clipper Riffery Derrick Lewis and his daughter, referee Erica Lewis.
The over the back call.
Which is not actually a call at all.
We have a call list called Push and what it is is you got a misconception that the defender cannot go over his back to get the ball.
He can reach up, pull the ball down long as he doesn't make any contact was not filed.
Math he comes down on his back.
Then it'll be a pushing power so we were signal here.
That's the file.
Stop the Clock and will say don't push all he's over the bag no he's not over the back.
I can't help it he's 7 foot in your gap.
Blocking out is 510.
Clifford's got game.
He'll be even better once he knows the rules of big thanks to the Father, Daughter, team of Derek and Erica Lewis for teaching Clifford the right way to hoop are reminder to keep up with what's happening during all the championship games and get special content from Arkansas PBS.

That's going to do it for the halftime show.
Let's get you back to bank Ozk Arena for the second half of the girls for a state championship here on your home for the high school state basketball finals.
Arkansas PBS.
Second half action.
5A Girls 48 girls.
Harrison in Farmington 1 first half Bobby it that was fun to watch.
We were talking during the half.
It was just entertaining basketball, well played, basketball well coach just that was fun.
Fun to watch and good strong offensive basketball.
Wasn't that these two teams are playing poorly defensively?
Aggressiveness attacking the basket and in the first half was Harrison who got the shots to fall Farmington's more of a team that relies on the long range knocking down shots.
They're not going down just one of seven from 3 point range.
Scuse me two of nine from 3 point range.
Is there more of a 8 to 10 made three pointers?
If they do that, they're going to have success in the points in the paint.
As you can tell.
Obviously the difference, Harrison hit the glass the 10 second chance points for Harrison.
The difference of eight there they leave by 12, so that's a big reason why they have this lead.
But you know, they attacked the basket.
I thought Alex Hill did a great job of getting to the basket.
Five of nine in the first half.
She has 11 points.
Barger was.
Driving through the whole, she's got 10 points leading the way for Farmington.
His Johnson with eight and that you know that's how she got her points.
Doing that in the free throw line.
Yep, really rely on those that those group of players that you mentioned.
Maybe even Carson Dillard for Farmington.
She averages 11 but just four in that first half.
This ones long, far from over as these two know each other too well and I thought Farmington survive not having there she is Tori Kersey in the game at the end of the first half she picked up her second foul and the lead did not grow with.
Kersey on the beach so they kind of were able to get past that that could that could have been, and I remember thinking we need to remember her going out of the game in about 3 minutes left in that second quarter, coach Brad Johnson made the move to put her on the bench, so she's more valuable in the second half and she is right now.
And as you mentioned, Harrison able to push that lead out just a touch.
But now she's got a full complement is 3000 to give in the second half so she can play aggressively.
Here she does just like we saw the first half Trinity Johnson getting to the basket could start performing on both ends of the floor, get turned over and get a shot in the paint to fall.
Deal with it.
Drives kicks.
Hill goes to the basket and gets fouled.
We're not going to see really much of anything different than we saw in the first after her said it was working able to attack the Basket Hill using that left hand.
Now I will get back to the foul line.
We were talking 1/2.
Still being left handed, they gotta take that left hand away from her.
You watch here they did.
She went to her right and she goes to the basket with her right hand and still got fouled.
So gotta give her a little credit.
Good players there, amphibious?
Or is it ambidextrous?
Can never remember?
Harrison's lead is 11.
Farmington swinging it from side to side.
Three is look good, just off the front of the room shot it right in front of us, but Trinity Johnson is often here comes Hill.
He'll get the screen goes to her left, finds a teammate love How Hill had her head up as she was driving to the basket.
Salmon needs little help, she gets it.
Trump gets it out to Hill at the top.
Hill to the basket drives to the right, finishes with the left and it's good.
Counted Johnson tried to take the charge, but he'll able to sidestep that avoid most of the Contacts get the benefit of the call.
Now chance to finish three point play.
Go chess, something to say.
You look to be set.
Yeah, it gets cold.
Go to.
Through line, imaginary line like here's my line.
I can't come across it.
You come here, come here I need to talk to you now Johnson has to go to the bench with three fouls.
Farmington on the run Kersey to the basket shot no good shop just aren't falling.
Still on the run she drops it off the shrimp.
Hill being guarded by Hernandez closely.
Hernandez doing a good job staying in front of her.
You'll get it back.
She'll try 3.
Hills feeling it.
We've got 17 starting to take over this game in Farmington is going to take a timeout is Harrison's push.
This lead out to a game high?
So far 16 pill only tried 1/3 pointer in the first half.
Made a living driving to the basket during the half.
I was watching her shoot from outside and she it was just three after three.
Effortlessly does it go?
She's the total package, yet she could shoot it like that.
We're just not seeing it in the first half and then we get a glimpse of how she can shoot outside at her games.
Pretty complete.
She can do it on the inside.
She can finish with contact and showing off a little range there and now.
If you're Farmington you gotta come out and Garter on that 3 point line which is going to allow her to drive to the basket so it's either pick your poison.
Is she a better driver or a better shooter and pharmacist?
Gotta figure out some answers for this, one gets out of hands.
Pretty obvious why Arkansas Tech wanted Alex Hill.
She's putting on a show so far through three quarters or two and a half quarters, 17 points, five rebounds, two assists.
Now, if you're Farmington, you've gotta get your key players involved.
Tori Kersey, really struggling from the field, just two of eight from maybe design A set play for her to get an easy look on the block it or some confidence.
And then you could start to incorporate Trinity, Johnson, Carson, Dillard.
No Morgan, Bri.
One case, maybe they bringing Cherry off the bench.
You knocked down a triple in that first half.
Mercy posting up.
How about that?
How about it?
Yeah, that blind squirrel.
Faked over left shoulder came back over right shoulder left hand shot Schrom no good.
Well, I like to play the soccer coach Johnson.
We were on the same page trying to get here.
It wasn't an easy shot though.
No, I mean it's really good defense by Harrison, but she's able to finish off the glass and maybe that's the confidence that the Farmington needs and they can settle in and get the offense going into final 13 minutes of game time we have left.
Almost little miscommunication.
Hernandez drives to the basket can't finish, but she was fouled.
ERISA Braxton like that call, rickets in the game and she quickly picks up a foul.
Her second foul of the game.
Hernandez cuts the lead to 30 or 13 scuse me they had now have 30 points.
Not a lot of contact there and then his misses a second because she gets the rebound put back and she's got a chance for the three point play that'll drive fans and coaches crazy.
Offensive rebound on a free throw.
Mia big swing here.
Could be a four point possession.
It is.
10 point Game, Farmington coming out in the in the press trying to trap in the corner.
Trump up ahead to Hill.
I haven't seen Farmington put a lot of pressure on.
Rick, it's inside.
Strong move by Ricketts uses the angles.
No, if you can hear the Harrison fans yelling at the rest behind us.
Same Ricketts got fouled on that shot.
You're going to call one.
You got called on both sides.
Kersey can't get it to fall, but she'll go to the free throw line.
Yeah, being more aggressive is Kersey.
She knows that she's going to take over the game on the inside, contact there, back to the foul line, call Sidney Schrum on the file, that's her second foul.
She's got 12 now.
She's 4, four from the free throw line today.
Make it 5 for five.
Farmington will press again.
Hilda rickets rickets over quite easily.
They break that press baseline jumper.
Rick, it's there for the rebound.
Rick it's no good rickets again, she's.
Holding the paint.
Yep, starting to take over inside is Rick.
It's just a freshman.
She has seven rebounds.
Nine rebounds, sorry, after those two officer rebounds.
That's going to be off.
Kersey.
No, it's not.
I can't see as good as the official that's standing right next to it.
Nine rebounds and eight points for Ricketts.
It's pretty good effort off the bench and just 9 minutes of play.
Persita Hernandez 3 point attempt no good, good rebound.
They're going to get Hernandez on the foul.
If you can hear the Paris of fans behind us, they're happy.
They finally got a foul called.
Farmington wasn't happy.
Maybe they're spoiled?
Yeah, maybe getting a lot of calls will take a break.
Fun game.
Here's the 4A Girls State championship game.
Harrison leads Farmington by 12.

Less than 4 minutes ago in the third quarter.
Harrison up 12 Hill to the basket.
She dumps it off to Shroom Ricketts, trying to post up down download.
Nothing there.
So she gives a screen going to moving screen.
They say Ricketts didn't get set.
There's a little timing there with the teammates sometimes that teammates gotta wait to just a second before let let your Screener get there before you make your move.
3000 on.
Rickets.
That can be big.
Hernandez drives in left hand shot, no Goodrich, it's there for the rebound.
Phil gets the loose ball Hernandez hounding her already ten rebounds now for Ricketts off the bench.
Rick, it's got she had her pin, but they missed her.
Deal with it.
Double team comes.
Ricketts takes it away back outside, inside out.
The Trump couldn't get the shot off.
Kind of loss control the ball.
You can tell Farmington is going to double team immediately as soon as that entry pass comes in the rickets.
They don't have the hype to keep up with her.
Here is really slowing down right now, focusing on getting the ball inside to Ricketts.
They did, but she missed the eight footer left hand Scoopshot.
No good for Kersey Harrison with the ball, but travel little bit out of control and then you start to see Farmington with that.
Press that trap but they want you to do to speed you up just a bit.
She thought she had an open.
Teammate didn't took an extra step.
Hudson travels in Farmington, gets the ball back.
They're down 12.
Two minutes ago, Kersey with it up, top Hill guarding her.
Ricketts thought did a great job hand straight up in the air.
Didn't come down, try to block the shot.
Just straight up good Defense Lady cards been held scoreless.
Last two 12.
Ricketts inside off the back of the rim.
Rebound deep shot.
Another officer, rebound.
How many offensive rebounds is that for Harrison now?
Push him up to 12 or 13.
You expect Ricketts to bring to pull down the extra chances, but Mariah Hutson, the guard gets in there.
Pulls down the board and she gets herself to the foul line and is now 12 offensive rebounds and 15 second chance points with a chance to make it 16 second chance points.
It's still the game within the game last we see it so many times, especially last night.
That was the different second chance opportunities in the 3A Boys Championship game.
She missed this.
Second there.
I vote.
Will bad break there?
The players collide into the Farmington players online.
I'm not sure if it wasn't her teammate that actually made her fall, but Harrison picks up the foul.
Harrison, with the 6th with a 13 point lead.
He'll almost got the steal, but she gets the turnover with the charge.
Cut off the baseline and got the benefit of the call.
Look, Brad Johnson did not appreciate that one.
He still talking with the official over there on that bass line.
Could see him there, giving him a little leeway.
The past the Hill Hills got into half court and she's off to the racist.
But look what a pass.
A great job also running the floor by Barger Hilda Barger Hill once again head up.
Offer to rebound.
Kirstie got the file called, thought she stepped out of bounds, but it was.
He's trying to get a number to see who the foul was on.
That's big toucas Farmington.
Now in the bonus, so the entire fourth quarter.
Lady cards don't get to the foul line.
Maybe that'll make coach happy.
Little happier.
Alittle happier.
Not happiness for sure.
All or anything.
But yeah, he, he's gotta be feeling a little better.
Percy goes to the free throw line.
Knocks down the first, second one just won't Fall Hill with the rebound.
Hernandez all over her.
Well, teams trying to get a little more aggressive defensively in the foul total starting to creep up as the next one is going to put Harrison on the line.
The officials have managed to make both fanbases mad.
Yeah, usually somebody's happy, right?
Not here bad pass turnover.
Cursor going the other way.
Watch out behind.
She is a basket in the foul.
Really strong finish for Kersey.
I thought Harrison was going to knock it way from from behind, but she kind of felt the pressure and speed up a little bit and got the basket to go just kind of floated it up.
Use the glass to to deaden.
It falls incur she gets a chance to convert to three point play and get it within 11 Percy starting to heat up from the field.
She was struggling.
She's now 411.
Free throws good.
Give her 14 points.
We need to go in the third quarter 11 points in the third quarter.
Hill drawing a lot of attention.
She drove in.
There were four Farmington girls in the paint.
She did the right thing and kicked it out.
Harrison running a little time and there's Curci again another steel she's going to the basket Curci left hand good.
First, he's taking over 19 points, now 13 in the third.
Farmington faithful starting to get into it as a big run before the end of the quarter, as they've got it back to single digits, 9 point game filled drives.
Trying to decide if they want to run off the entire Clock or they want to.
Farmington reaches in knocks it away.
They're going to be able to play four and five.
Nope, they're going to stop play.
The text Margare was injured and they're going to stop the play.
Yeah, coach Brad Johnson.
Not happy with that as they generally don't blow it dead.
If a team has an advantage or a fast break even for an injury on the defensive team.
But that time they didn't.
He is not happy on that.
Visiting sideline Barger holding her left elbow.
Giving some treatment on the on the bench.
Gotta go quickly 10.
On the Clock.
Down to 7 Percy.
Set the screen.
Now she's going to try to get it back.
Nope, you're gonna shoot a 3.
At the buzzer, no good.
Really good flurry, though for Farmington to close that quarter, or if that would have went knock it to a six point game.
This place would have erupted.
Instead we got Harrison leading 50 to 41.
You're watching the Centennial Bank State basketball championships on Arkansas.

We're about to have a really good fourth quarter, and you want to watch it over and over again next week.
You can just go to youtube.com/arkansas PBS and all the championship games will be there Farmington stepping up their defense in the third quarter they held Harrison to just 13 points, their lowest output of the game, and not only were they playing good defense, they were creating turnovers and getting easy points themselves.
So Farmington getting it done with defense.
Yep, and Kersey's taking over the game offensively for Farmington.
She's got possession there.
Wow.
She couldn't get that shot to follow in the first half and now it just seems like everything is easy for cursing.
21 points for Kersey.
Hill pulls it out.
Schrom drives in.
He was 17.
Her dad's guarding her.
Filled with a couple of crossovers.
Throws it up.
Thinks he was trying to hit a teammate.
Yeah she had them all kind of deflected as she had left her feet.
And she tried to push it either a shot or two or teammate.
Either way it went out of bounds and Farmington has a chance to get within 5.
Which were they going with it?
I think they're going to get Madison Bell running through the screen.
Yep.
There's a big collision that's going to be shots for Farmington.
Will surprise we haven't seen rickets.
She brings a lot off the bench and.
Feels like a chance to get her in the game here and stop some of this momentum.
11 minutes, eight points, ten rebounds.
Scott 3 personal fouls but we're in the fourth quarter.
Yep, think I'd put her in the game.
Hershey now chance.
The ads are her already huge second half.
Saw the replay.
She was setting the screen and no defender didn't know she was there.
There's still didn't go in again.
If they had the Farmington defense turned around Los Side of the basketball in an easy bucket.
She hasn't had any of those lately.
Johnson was driving to the hole and.
They tried to get her for the push off.
Didn't get that, but then they got it for the charge a little out of control for Johnson.
That time she had her mind made up.
She was going to the basket.
Yeah, that's four for Trinity was 6 1/2 minutes left.
Well, she's going to go to the bench and they're going to bring in the freshman Shirey.
Farmington drops back.
Not pressing this time heals.
And try to get it to the basket.
Little over 6 minutes ago in this for a girls State championship game, Harrison's been leading most of the game.
There leads down to 8.
Pearson, led by 5 after one led by 12 at the half Farmington has not LED.
Sean Morgan, some time off the Clock and they're going to call a timeout.
132nd timeout here.
Talk about it.
He's telling the girls where to go, what she wants, what we're going to do right here.
Coach Kristen Williams first try to get there, get their attention.
So this last five minutes 59 seconds of the game, first year at Harrison.
Also a head coach in Marshall.
Longtime assistant at Fort Smith.
Southside long time.
Maybe she's not that old.
I'll tell her I said that.
I better get back to her.
Yeah, learn from one of the best though.
She got to coach under Sherry White.
There it's outside.
And a member of the state runner up team.
Outstanding job first year at Harrison, but clearly she didn't take over a program that with the Care bear covered.
I will see what she designed.
Shonda Hill it's always a good plan.
Give it to heal.
Let her drive to the basket.
Salmon working some time off the Clock.
There's Hill, she got her name, does a fly by Schrum Open 3.
Percy with the rebound.
Fans want the armbar from Curci don't get it.
But they will get a wide open 3 from Farmington, no good.
Barker with the rebound.
He adds a good look, one of the best ones they've had from the three point line.
But Dillard could not get it to go.
The Farmington hasn't had a lot of wide open looks, so you're gonna have to give her some defense credit for that.
Hill drives in had Hernandez beat, but quickly there was someone there.
Farmington is doing a good job of help defense.
Harrison taking a little air of the basketball and soon, as I say that they launch one from deep.
Probably not the shop.
The coach Williams wants.
Watching coach she didn't get too upset.
Kersey with it Kersey leaning driving.
Is she gotta give cursing a lot of credit forces, some Contacts that throws it up, tries to get one to go.
But I was about to say curse.
He does a great job of avoiding the contact by jumping away from the defender in the Golden fouls.
She draws the contact anyway free throws off and she made a knack of getting to the foul line.
811 from the stripe.
One free throw, one of two.
Seven point lead for Harrison.
He'll get the screen.
Harrison really slowing things down now, not the pace we've seen out of them to really at all during the game.
Schrum gets it.
Just patiently working the ball.
Drive in Dash Kick Gettel baseline jumper no good.
Harrison hasn't scored in almost 2 1/2 minutes now courtesy to the basket.
No good.
Little while there from Kersey Yep, that was a big miss.
Instead of attacking, they're just going to be content working some more time off.
The Clock coach was and she's not going to be happy now.
She wanted to file before the shot didn't get it, and then they drove in.
Didn't get a foul there.
She threw her hands up in the air and discussed, can't get a call right now.
We got 7 point game with less than 4 minutes ago.

Going to my arkansaspbs.org Hill inside.
Can't get it to fall, but she gets her own rebound.
They tire up before she get the shot off.
It's going to go over to Farmington on the alternating possession.
See some frustration with Harrison right now.
Yeah, they've missed five straight.
Haven't scored in 327 and going back to the last period.
A lot of control there.
No call.
Coach yells at her to get up and go.
She's feeling the effects of that hit.
Hill inside wide open misses the layup.
Just absolutely missed it.
That lucky there in Farmington.
Best player for Harrison rushed it a bit and missed a wide open shot Percy.
She gets a wide open layup and she comes through.
She don't miss it.
25 now for Curci lead is down to five.
Was watching Hill after she missed that shot.
She looks.
When did she looks?
Spent she does.
You're so good in the first 3/4.
She gets to the basket, laughed and is shot no good.
You just see no emotion from her after drawing the foul.
She just to me looks very tired.
Needs a breather.
All teams have three timeouts left.
She is still bent over trying to catch her breath.
She is played a whale of a game, 19 points, eight rebounds, make it 20 points.
Just three of six now from the free throw line.
See if she can convert.
Making it.
Seven point lead.
She does big free throws from Hill.
This four points, though for farming or excuse me for Harrison in this fourth quarter.
Johnson to kersey.
Kersey draws the foul.
Wow.
That time there, some fans are happy.
They've been asking for that call for awhile and they finally got it and they're letting the officials know about it or to play from cercyon.
And give Hill credit look I told you she looked exhausted.
Yeah, she just drove to the basket, got two free throws, comes back draws the charge.
Stepping up when she's needed.
As a big call as that shot went down.
For kersey.
They call the offices charge, take the points off the board, told you hear some fans were excited and happy.
They finally felt like they got a call.
Should Brad Johnson not happy he's over there, letting the officials know about it.
That's a big call.
Big swing in momentum as well.
Was performing to turn up the pressure.
They had a little success there in the third quarter when they brought the full court press and you mentioned how exhausted Alex Hill looks.
Start running two defenders at the ball.
If you're farming, trying to force a quick turn over and get a run out.
Maybe Sidney Schrum to give her a little help on the bringing the ball up the court know Barger had a big first half as well 10 points before intermission, but just two in the second half.
But also when they pressed in the first half, they had rickets in the game and Ricketts got there in the middle and they just do it to her in the middle and.
Now we see Ricketts back in the game, yet they send her deep.
You know, Harrison is going to bring the pressure.
They had some success going over the top of this Farmington press.
Neo guarded by Hernandez Farmington drops back.
They do not press.
They're just playing man demand.
You'll get the screen.
See how aggressive Harrison wants to be.
If they just want to run Clock or attack the Basket, Hill loses control of it.
Farmington has it Johnson coming the other way.
Johnson up ahead to Kersey Kersey, left, headlamp no good.
Rebound by Harrison.
Hill has rickets rickets to the basket.
And it's good.
You ask for Weston.
You gotta rickets.
Nice fast break bucket Nurse push that lead back to 9 Farmington to the basket.
Ricketts their hands straight up in the air.
No foul called ball goes out of bounds.
Harrison will have it time out.
Harrison wants a timeout of 32nd timeout they lead by.
Pull up by 9.
Minute 40 to go really big sequence there.
Harrison beats the pressure, take advantage of the fast break.
Ricketts Delay in Good Pass, thereby, Alex Hill.
You see the finish and on the other end a great defensive stop in the Lane.
Ball goes out of bounds and going over to the Lady Goblins.
Huge sequence of events.
Really there.
Bobby Farmington drives in gets the basket.
It's waved off charging fouls called.
Then Harrison beats the pressure, gets it to Ricketts.
She gets the basket to five point swing.
At least you're exactly right.
I meant that does a big sequence of plays and you go back.
And obviously the Hershey charge.
I mean, the last minutes we talked about.
Maybe Farmington was on the receiving end of a lot of good calls in the second half of the last 60 seconds.
Everything is gone Harrison toy.
It's funny how those things have a way of even myself out.
Rick, it's out of the game.
So with more speed Now, instant offense, she called that.
Phil breaks the pressure she gets across, and they're going to file the go ahead and file her now.
She was getting to the basket minute 33 to go go send Hill to the free throw line at both teams.
Now in the double bonus.
So two free throws for any infraction.
And we thought she was tired the last time she went to fall on and smooth stroke both of 'em.
Pictures just taking a mental break.
We all need that every now and then she composed herself and since that moment she has been lights out.
Max out both free throws.
23 now for Alex Hill.
Eight rebounds, four assists as well.
Johnson drives in, throws it up no good Curci there for the rebound.
She can't get it to fallen.
Hill gets the rebound Hills tide up.
I'm gonna go to Harrison.
Harrison will stay keep possession of it six straight points for Harrison and remember, Farmington cut this lady gobble leads as little as five.
For those points coming at the free throw line, of course, then rickets had the layup quickfile.
After the last two trips to the foul line, if you're Farmington, maybe look to.
Found somebody else.
Check for tomorrow she's made.
She's now six of nine from the free throw line.
Got off to a slow start, but she's been a lot better as of late.
7 of 10.
That gives her 24 points.
Curci has 25 delete Farmington.
Feel good again.
Lead up to 13.
It's an 8 oh run for Harrison here at the end of the game.
Curci underneath good time out Farmington.
Yeah, at this point late in the game down 11, your form is that you can't afford to be trading two free throws for layups.
You've gotta get some stops.
More importantly, get some missed free throws on that and got Harrison's gotta help you out and you gotta start knocking down some shots from distance.
Hill, now 811 from the free throw line.
Then he'll got beat that time, but smart play.
She just went ahead Licursi score.
She didn't try to do anything.
She did.
You don't want to file there.
You don't wanna give up a cheap 3 point play.
Because right now a layup, the least of your worries, as long as that Clock continues to run.
We knew this would come down to the wire.
Fourth meeting between these two, all of them closely contested.
Harrison won the first meeting farming for the last two.
The Lady Goblins, one minute, 9 seconds away from winning the one that matters most.
Cursing now with the double double, she's got 27 points and ten rebounds.
Hill is a rebound away from having a double double.
She's got 25 and 9 Ricketts does have a double double.
She's got 10 points, ten rebounds in 12 minutes.
Claire Burger draws the foul.
There will send her to the foul line.
She hasn't attempted a free throw.
She does have 12 points tonight, 6 of 11 from the field and quiet the second half, though just two after the break.
Macy Carlson, now into the game.
Farmington now if you're the lady cards you got what you wanted to miss free throw so you can make this one quick three.
We can extend this game.
Short for both.
Johnson brings it down.
She's in a hurry.
Johnson all the way.
The basket won't go.
Kersey fighting Hernandez, fighting for the rebound.
You'll keep possession of it.
Quickly inside the Curci, but she missed it.
She missed everything.
They got to play.
They wanted the inbounds play they wanted, just couldn't convert.
Now the shots just haven't gone down as much as curses used to inside.
A lot of that credit has to go with the Harrison Defense Curci 9 of 20.
From the field Hernandez quickly fouls he'll.
He'll go back to the free call line.
Harrison coaches telling.
Their players to block out, block out, get that rebound.
He's almost been automatic.
In the second half of the foul on now 9 of 12.
When she was two for five, she missed three of her first 5 free throws and since then.
Perfect remains perfect.
She was two for five at one moment at one time, and since then she's.
A debate.
Quick time out.
11 point that knocks it down to 11.
But Tom's running out for Farmington?
Yeah, they've gotta.
Another quick foul hoeper.
Missed free throws and they've got to start hitting some shots in deep.
44.4 seconds to go.
Last jumper was good for Hernandez.
She now has seven points on the game.
Nine turnovers for both teams.
How about that?
I think this is just another good half of basketball and you look at the turnovers.
Great indication both teams with just nine turnovers in the game.
Yeah, if you look at the box for the really only.
Glaring difference is the second chance points.
15 for Harrison.
Only 5 for Farmington.
Hill with it.
They don't want to Fowler, but they have to just can't let time go off the rock.
You can't be choosy with an 11 point deficit.
That's the last person you want to send to the foul line, but Harrison did a nice job of getting her open on the inbounds.
The streak is over after making eight straight.
Coaches, we can blame you for that you were talking about her.
Sure my fault, Brad Johnson's coach Brad Johnson's doing a good job he substituting and taking out Cercyon Johnson.
He doesn't want them Fallon because, well, they're almost out of fouls to give, so he's putting in some substitutes.
They're getting the fouls and soon as the files are made, he puts them back in.
Johnson those off her teammates hands and the costly turnover hearing it over.
And it was big and.
Trying to get it to heal.
Tom Farmington did a great job at the 9 Hilda Ball.
If you don't want to Fowler, don't let her catch it.
Let her get it.
Yeah, we gotta then I heard the basketball make somebody else beat you at the line.
They got that when Barger missed the two but Farmington able to take advantage on the other end.
38 percent is 17%, though from 3 point range for the Lady Cardinals and I mentioned there are more of that 6 to 8 threes a game range and tonight just two of 12 for seeing the Harrison fans celebrate.
But for the first time I saw some smiles and celebration in the Harrison huddle there 34 seconds away from winning a state title in the coach.
That time got the entire team to come to the huddle.
Previous timeouts it's just been the five girls on the court in that time.
Every single player got up and went to the huddle.
There was some dancing going on and some smiles and.
I continue to see the celebration as Harrison's Mariah Hudson will go to the free throw line.
Yeah, they were ranked number one for a lot of the season.
Started 16 and oh had a little hiccup once the post season rolled around.
But state tournament time, they've turned it up.
It shows a lot of determination there in resolved you go 16 and oh in conference in the postseason starts right?
It it's time to turn it on.
It's time to show everybody what we got and they lose three games in the span of two weeks.
Yeah, you're talking once in the district tournament, twice in the regional tournament and then they get a terrible seating for the state tournament.
And you got to be thinking this isn't what we had planned.
This isn't what we were supposed to do.
And they have fought their way through the state tournament and showed everybody.
Yeah, no, this is who we are.
It we're not the team that just lossed three times.
Yeah, this is who we are.
I mean, every coach will tell you, just get me in the bracket, put my name on that state tournament bracket.
Then will find away and that's exactly what Harrison did.
You mentioned the top seed.
I think there.
I believe they were the four seed out of that region.
Region was the best one in the state in Class 4A by far, but they got the job done.
Feel good from the free throw line again, so she's starting a new streak.
13 Free throws now for Hill 13 of 1730 points.
3 point attempt by Farmington's, no good, he'll let it go out of bounds.
Harrison will have.
It will see if the fouling is over.
They don't just dribble this out.
Schrum has it.
Nope, I'm gonna send him to the free throw line.
Go fight to the bitter end extended.
I can respect that Yep.
I'm a competitor too, not going to give up.
Harrison girls taking some time out to look up in.
The fans point at their friend, friends and family members.
Also see.
Some of the lady Goblins removing their.
Covers there about to check in the game I think.
Schrom at the free throw line.
Farmington fans on their feet is.
Johnson comes out Father, Daughter Exchange and long hug.
Some tears being shed.
Tough moment curses out of the game too.
Finally, A3 goes for Farmington.
But it's too little, too late.
As a Harrison Lady Goblins stormed the court to celebrate a state championship lot of cool moments.
They battled through so much adversity.
Brent Olson.
Torn Achilles.
She's out.
They just carried her to the huddle so she could celebrate with her teammate Sidney Schrum, playing on a torn ACL.
Suffered that twice and you can see the fans there.
They've already got the newspapers printed up and blue and gold that says state champs.
Coach Williams is looking for someone in the fans.
She's wanting to acknowledge somebody.
Pretty neat moment.
I gotta say.
Watching teammates take grin Olson to the middle so she can celebrate and then she's hopping with one 1 foot in the cast.
Yep, jumping up and down with her teammate and coach Williams found her daughter asks what she was looking for.
A way to celebrate.
And out the hardware there Farmington the runner up after a championship last season, but this is what Harrison came for.
Just talk tough moment.
Got tears of joy on one side of the court and then just tears of sadness for Farmington.
Good two really good teams, but on this day Harrison Lady Goblins are the best team here.

There's your MVP Harrisons Alex Hill, not a lot of question in that 130 points did it all.
Ten rebounds, four assists.
Arkansas Tech's getting a really good woman.
Alex Elise.
She's going to make her way over to us in just a moment.
Here comes, Alex will talk with her first.
Alex, congratulations.
You got the trophy.
You got the title how you feel feels great.
I mean, we prepared for this all year and it's finally finally happened.
You had the lead for most of the game you come out.
How aggressive were you planning to be to start this game?
You jumped on a 7?
Oh run.
It really seemed like it settled your team down when nerves are always such a huge factor in the final week and come out on a roll.
It always helps with nerves.
Moment the fourth quarter you were fouled, you went to the frisson line and you were kind of bent over and I I was thinking, and I even said she looks spent.
She looks worn out, exhausted and you took a moment there and gathered yourself.
Made the free throws came down drew charge.
Yeah, were you feeling it?
Were you tired?
Was it a mental break for you?
I was I was so tired but I knew if I could pull it out then we would be able to finish the game.
Yeah, you always dream of winning a state championship but to get here to win it and for you to score.
30 points and take home the MVP.
What's that mean to you?
It means the world because I came in with these girls and they had open arms for me and for them to be such great teammates and be able to win.
This is amazing.
That was a cool moment at the end.
Some of the teammates picked up brand broader to the huddle.
Y'all celebrated, you got Shrum with a torn ACL.
You, you girls have gone through a lot this year.
It's been a lot, but we've been able to push through and stay a team and be together with congratulations.
Thank you.
Well done.
Very well done.
30 points, ten rebounds, four assists.
I mean, you're talking about state championship MVP.
Mean those numbers to scream.
It 8:15 from the floor 13 of 17 from the foul line that you can do really can't find one weakness in her game today.
No, when she started out on the free throw line, two of five and I was like it.
Surprised me because it looked like she was a very good shooter.
You can see your way in warmups and to miss three of her first 5 free throws like.
Well, maybe that's the hole in her game.
And then yeah, I think she made eight straight after that.
10 out of 11.
But no, she's a Arkansas Tech is giving a very fine.
She settled in.
You gotta give a lot of credit to this person squad.
They lossed the Farmington twice as we could coach Williams.
The Jonas in the last few weeks and for the bounce back and play like they did.
Pretty impressive head coach Kristen Williams joins us now.
Big smile on your face.
You were looking up in the crowd.
Looks like she's trying to find something somebody to acknowledge.
She's trying to do something and then we saw your daughter Hairy team Captain.
They call her and she has been everywhere with us.
She doesn't really have a choice but yes I want to experience this moment with her.
What a great start to the game and.
We saw Hill just attacking the basket and getting too easy shots.
We've seen so many state championship games and shots aren't falling and slow.
Starts in the game.
Was that the plan?
Was that a plan to attack and get to the basket?
Nothing against the other teams that we've watched so far, but it was just kind of like slow and low scoring and I said let's take it to him.
What do we have to lose?
The more aggressive team is going to come out on top and you ask you 'cause we enjoyed that.
You guys have played each other now four times this year.
Dogfight and you knew they were going to make it run.
They cut it to five there.
In the fourth quarter, he called timeout.
Would you tell your team?
Oh, just that that we know that for the better team.
We knew this was coming.
Take a deep breath is exactly what I said and finish it off.
It was really impressed with rickets.
I thought she came in and she had a double double 10 points, ten rebounds, grade weapon just 12 minutes.
I mean she came in and gave you a boost off the bench and what's funny is that kid, you'll never see a frown on her face.
She, she's just a happy kid.
She finished her 9th grade season and I'm like Hey you wanna come up here and so she's jelled really well the last month with him you set the bar a little high for yourself at Harrison.
Yeah yeah.
First year head coach, you want to state championship?
I mean, what's it mean to you?
I mean, because you've been, you've been through it.
Assistant at Southside head coach at Marshall.
Just?
I mean, bottom line, hard work?
A lot of hard work and.
Just put covette and injuries that I've had it.
Just these kids deserve it.
It's not about me and in the city now.
First title in 17 years this means alot unknown and Sherry.
Why is kind of my mentor so this just you know it's home like she.
She's the one that wanted my Harrison.
Coached under her at Southside.
So now I'm winning one at Harrison.
Well great day congratulations.
Thank you so much.
Thank you for your time.
Really impressive 6854, you're fine.
Yeah they made the key plays with new Farmington.
Was going to make a run but the perimeter defense was was a big thing for Harrison and you talk about you know.
Of course Farmington was trying to get to the paint but holding Farmington just two of 12 from the three point line.
Maybe 3 of 13, three or four teams.
They got one point late.
Yeah, I mean, that's how you stop Farmington and that's how you win a state championship fun game to watch.
Fun game for us to do.
We got three more to go Bar, set high for us too.
Yes 48 boys is up next then we have 5/8 girls 5/8 boys.
We're just getting started.
Will be back here at 1:00 o'clock.
Thank you for watching and congratulations to Harrison your for a girls state champs more of the Centennial Bank State basketball Championships coming up.
