An effort in Charlotte brings more diversity to the craft brewing industry.
Black-owned breweries make up just 1% of the U.S. craft beer industry. Women-owned breweries make up even less. Town Brewing in Charlotte runs the Many Faces Initiative, a program designed to get more women and people of color into the business. Meet Dedrick McFadden, a graduate of the internship program, who says his love of rugby helped develop his passion for craft beer.
