- The situation in London today, is very great.
Without fuel and supplies, people in the worst effected areas (upbeat music) will die.
(upbeat music) - I play Robert Sutherland, who is the Prime Minister of the country, a member of the Conservative Party , has been Prime Minister for a short amount of time.
It's not as a lot of team sat there, and get his feet under the desk , before he's gonna fill any operation.
So it's difficult thing for him.
- You need to be very careful.
- Yeah, I know.
- Any suggestion that you want anyone - I'm not stupid, Ana.
- Anna Marshall is special advisor to prime minister played by Victoria Hamilton.
There absolutely symbiotic and that sort of coupling, provides the center for the show.
- I think she's amazing.
She's very strong.
She has a very strong, moral sense.
She's also interesting because she hasn't spent her life in politics.
She was a war reporter for years before she moved into politics.
- She Knows him really well.
They know each other very, very well, and there's a tremendous loyalty.
- Can't let this continue.
Cannot let Anarchy prevail.
- I agree.
- Robert Sutherland encounters, a whole range of problems.
He has to deal with very immediately, solve the crisis, he's very much a family man, and he has an immediate crisis as well with his daughter, and he also has a snapping at his heels.
In the form of Archie Glover-Morgan.
Who's the home secretary.
- And it's always fun to play somebody who is unpredictable, erratic, has a sense of humor.
He just crashes into the plot from time to time in each episode, but always makes an impact when he appears.
(upbeat music) - I play Francine Bridge, she was kind of a rising star in the Labor Party, but she has had a relationship with Anna for a long time.
They're really good friends.
When the Director of Policy position opens up, Anna want somebody that she can trust.
And so she convinces Francine to join them.
- Glad you've joined us.
Powerful you can have chance to chat on the journey.
- I'm running low on bottled water in the red zone.
(upbeat music) - I play Fraser Walker .
Head of Civil Contingencies.
Fraser goes straight into action.
May seem unruffled on the surface, but deep down there's a lot going on.
- He represents the great unsung , people in our society who worked through all kinds of pressures, through all kinds of difficulties, actually to make our society better.
- I liked the fact that they had life's going on, other than just politics.
And I think that's realistic.
- The full range of who they are, It's just fantastic cause the chance to play that kind of character comes along, once in a blue moon.
- They still got their foot on our throat.
- We need to raise the threat level to serious recall Cobra immediately.
- There will be a reckoning.
