Gov. Beshear has selected Dr. John Langefeld to be the next Commissioner of the Department for Public Health. He currently works in the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. Langefeld is taking over for Dr. Steven Stack who is replacing Sec. Eric Friedlander at the CHFS.

He's Doctor John Langfelder, the current medical director for health insights and Innovation in the cabinet for Health and Family Services.
Lingfield will take over for Doctor Stephen Stack on July 1st.
Now Doctor Stack will become the head of the cabinet for Health and Family Services, replacing Eric Friedlander.
Doctor Lingfield is a native Kentuckian who attended Berea College and the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
Governor Andy Beshear says, quote, with his wealth of experience and proven commitment to the health and well-being of Kentucky, I am confident that Doctor Lingfield will help us build on our efforts to keep Kentuckians informed, healthy and safe in quote.
