They have spring and summer just like we do and every season brings them different things to do.
So the cats get to be cats.
We're The Wildcat Sanctuary and we're located in Sandstone, Minnesota and we're a last hope rescue for big cats.
We're not open for public visitation, but we do have volunteer programs so people can get involved that way or can get involved by sponsoring one of our residents.
So we just had four lion cubs join us from war-stricken Ukraine.
Sadly, they were victims of the pet market over there and were being sold as pets.
And they were rescued, they then went to Poland before we got them here.
So they've had a 7,000 mile trip, which is more than most humans ever go on.
And they are well-adjusted, happy and healthy cats.
Luckily, intervention happened early in their life and they have no idea what happened around them.
They don't mind the snow at all.
The biggest question we get is, "how do the warm weather cats do in the snow?"
And as you saw today, they are out playing, running, they didn't seem cold at all.
But we definitely monitor them, especially when they arrive because we want them to acclimate to our Minnesota temperatures.
