The artists are supplementing the Black History curriculum with showing the students how to do different techniques of painting different artistic styles in painting, and then also the history of black hair and how it was used to discriminate against us.
And all of those sessions support the artist.

For many of them, it was and has been the very first time to see the Tweed, and it's very important to be inclusive, it's all about really working with the communities, listening to BIPOC communities and figuring out what is it that we would need to do in the future.
And together, it's the beginning of a relationship with the Tweed.
A lot of people don't know about it or feel connected to it, so it's just kind of connect to the Tweed and its opportunities with its community, and that's what we want to keep doing.
