Black Veterans Celebrate 100 Years as American Legion Post

The American Legion was chartered by the U.S. government 100 years ago as a patriotic organization to serve veterans. One of its early chapters, Giles Post No. 87 also celebrated its 100th anniversary this past August. The post holds a special legacy for African Americans.
