- [Man] No, it's hotter.
- It's too loud?
- Yeah.
- Oh, okay.
(indistinct) (guitar strumming) (gentle guitar music) - [Man] That's a better mix.
- Okay.
- [Man] Does it sound all right?
- Yeah, yeah, it sounds great, man.
It sounds awesome.
(laughing) This is Johnny from Blessed Be Man and this is a sound on tap.
(soft guitar music) (guitar music quickens) (gentle guitar music) (heavy guitar music) (gentle guitar music) (guitar music quickens) (gentle guitar music) I've been in the music scene for a long time, since I was in high school.
So I spent a lot of time with, jamming with very talented individuals.
But as we got older and life happens, it got harder to find the time to practice and finding other like-minded individuals to play that type of music.
So with the last like band that I was in, I was getting ready to graduate college and it was just too much.
So I said, you know what?
I've had this vision of music that I've been wanting to do for for many years.
And I said that let's try it out.
(gentle guitar music) (rhythmic guitar music) (upbeat guitar music) (guitar music fading) (gentle guitar music) (baby vocalizing) Sometimes it's just an emotion that really sparks something.
And I take it from there.
And other times it might be a chord progression or a sound that I might hear and just trigger something in me.
So, but it's a very heavy in emotion.
So a lot of the songs are brought to life by those emotions that I'm feeling.
(soft guitar music) (bright guitar music) (bright music quickens) (bright upbeat music) (heavy guitar music) (gentle guitar music) So I've got three full lengths and two EPS that I recorded myself.
And with those, it was track by track.
So in the end I ended up with like twenty-five guitar tracks per song, and the snare, the bass drum.
So at first, those first few recordings, pretty much the way I would play live is the way it sounded on record.
But the past two full lengths, I said, I'm gonna try something a little bit different.
And instead of having the loop repeat once or twice while I fixed the distortion level or get the drumsticks, I'll just let it loop once.
So the songs on the past few recordings are a little bit shorter, but it's still, the idea is still there.
