We remember drummer, vocalist, blues legend and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Sam Lay.
Drummer, vocalist, blues legend and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Sam Lay died in a Chicago nursing facility at the end of January. He was 86. Lay played with blues greats, like Willie Dixon, Howlin Wolf and Bo Didley. He was the regular drummer for Muddy Waters for many years as well, and played on the classic Bob Dylan album "Highway 61 Revisited."
