Artist Duane Goodwin of the Cass Lake, MN area sculpts in stone a monumental work that tells a tragic tale of Minnesota’s boarding school era, when native children were stripped of their cultural identities. Awarded the job at University of Minnesota Morris, Goodwin works with young Native apprentices from across Minnesota to bring more attention to this time of pain, loss & injustice.
