Hankison was a Louisville police officer involved in that raid.
His shots did not hit Taylor, but a jury decided he violated her civil rights by firing ten shots into her apartment.
In July, a judge sentenced him to 33 months in prison after rejecting a Department of Justice recommendation that he serve one day behind bars.
Spectrum news one reports that Hankison has already filed his notice of appeal.
