There’s an industrial region in Sacramento with a long history as a hub for waste management companies. And what better symbol to represent the area’s aging industrial center than a dumpster? Last summer, in an effort to showcase the creative side of the neighborhood, ten local artists participated in a public art project using massive, 22-foot-long waste receptacles as their canvas.
