As a troubled teenager, when Charlotte McGraw was in need of love and guidance, she was instead institutionalized for many years for behavioral and mental health problems. Eventually her journey found her taking advantage of the services of Goodwill Columbus, where the artist in residence encouraged her to pursue the arts as a creative outlet.
