Columbus artist Sue Cavanaugh makes fabric sculptures that gather, fold and tumble in the air, offering the illusion of movement, despite being fixed in space. Inspired by a factory used to repair railroad cars, she started working in dimensions she had never tried before. She recently welcomed us into her studio and explains her process for sculpting textiles for large spaces.
