From Oregon Public Broadcasting Traditional rawhide braiding is as utilitarian as it is beautiful. It used to be widely practiced by working cowboys, who used it for practical purposes such as whips and horse reins. Tim George in Eastern Oregon has taken this meticulous cowboy art form to the level of fine art.
