David Danzmayr was appointed last year as Music Director of the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra. Born and raised in Austria, he grew up playing the piano but always knew what path he would inevitably pursue, having been fascinated as a child to the movement and gestures of the conductor. We sat down to talk with him about the role of a conductor and the focus and discipline it requires.
