Grammy-winning pianist and composer Billy Childs recently released his latest project, an album thatpays tribute to the famed singer-songwriter Laura Nyro, whom he considers to be an early influence on his work. Childs was raised in a household decidedly split between pop and baroque music and was perhaps fated at birth to bring these two genres together.
