To be president, they say you need a big head. Inspired after a visit to Mount Rushmore, Houston artist David Adickes decided that the only way to appreciate the details of the facial features of those monumental carvings up close was to create his own. He sculpted 43 enormous busts – one of each American president – and they are all on view outside his studio in Texas.
