The lyrics to Floodcast came out of a dream by Nicki Baker of Chaz & Nicki.
“The lyrics (to Floodgate) were literally a dream,” says Nicki Baker, who woke up and immediately sent the chorus to her musical partner Chaz Mechenbier. “I just woke up and there it was.” Chaz Mechenbier & Nicki Baker teamed up together five years ago when Chaz was looking for a new female lead for his wedding band.
