IRS monthly child tax credits to start going out in July

Families will receive monthly child tax credit payments through December.
The new, expanded child tax credit was included as part of the last COVID-19 relief bill, known as the American Rescue Plan. Families who meet certain income eligibility will receive $3,000 per child from the ages of 6 through 17, and $3,600 per child under the age of 6.
