It’s a major breakup for a big pharmaceutical company in New Jersey. Johnson and Johnson announced it will split into two public companies - one company will be comprised of its consumer products, the other, will include its pharma and medical device businesses. That business will retain the J&J name, it hasn’t yet come up with a name for the new consumer products company.
