Calls for more funding for education, child care and programs to help low-income residents

On Thursday, the Senate Budget Committee heard from members of the public on budget allocations, giving everyone three minutes to state their requests. There were calls for more funding for education, child care and programs to help low-income residents. Citizen Action testified that more money was needed for programs providing rent, mortgage and utility assistance.
